Excellent customization abilities within Scheduling and Reporting functions
Opmerkingen: It makes it easy for staff to understand billing procedures and therefore they can better explain to patients when balances accrue due to coinsurance/copays/deductibles.
Pluspunten:
The programming is intuitive and each section of a patient's account, such as patient data and claim data, communicates together (which improves ease of use and decreases labor costs).
Minpunten:
It needs to have bidirectional communication with our EHR, Practice Fusion. Claims are sent from PF to CMD, but patient data is not communicated from CMD to PF, which costs us labor to input the schedule and patient data twice, once in each program.
Simplify with CollaborateMD
Opmerkingen: We are very new with Collaborate, but are highly impressed by the easy tutorials, and the quality care we've received thus far from the representatives.
Pluspunten:
CollaborateMD simplifies the entire billing process on claims. Also, a representative meets, trains and guides you through the learning curve.
Minpunten:
We have not yet experienced any cons, therefore do not have any items to report being liked least.
Disappointed and Dissatisfied

Minpunten:
The worst customer support! I was told by a CollaborateMD supervisor that at most, they have 6-7 representatives working at any given time. This is outrageous. They don't bother to re-call if the call is dropped. No genuine concern for their clients whatsoever.

Opmerkingen: It's good, support could be a little better but their online help is useful. Sometimes its nice to be able to speak to someone though.
Pluspunten:
Our capacity for using CollaborateMD has been transitioning clients off of it to our preferred billing software. We keep the accounts open to ensure that we have access to older items and so that we can work down all of the existing AR. I like the software. It is easy to use and the custom reports are so helpful and easy to use.
Minpunten:
There isn't really anything I dislike about it, I am just much more comfortable with other systems. I think this is a good and reasonably priced software to use for small to medium sized practices. I'm not sure about all of the integration, that may be a pain point since no one we have worked with so far has had a successful integration set up.
A lot of bang for your buck
Pluspunten:
CollaborateMD provides great patient, claim, and financial management for its cost! I cannot recommend them enough.
Minpunten:
Some pieces are missing for laboratory billing like client billing and invoicing.

Good Software for Medical Billing Companies
Opmerkingen: Overall experience is good. I am able to get help when needed and my staff is able to navigate well through the system.
Pluspunten:
I like the ease of navigating through the software and the record keeping.
Minpunten:
I wish there was a way to see the remits on the actual claim and the CMS 1500 form that was sent out to the insurance company on each claim. You have to click on several other areas to find what you need. If it was attached to the actual claim it would help.

Billing Perspective
Opmerkingen: The implementation process has been a breeze and the training has been very successful. Learning the software has been the easiest of any software that I've used currently.

Billing management and interfacing with other software.
Minpunten:
It does not transfer daily patient payments from our Practice Fusion software. It has to be manually entered.

Smart Product with Great Training Support
Opmerkingen: I can't say enough about the support and training I received throughout setup and implementation. The trainer walked me through each phase and left no question unaddressed. By the time training was complete, I was fully equipped to work with CollaborateMD.
Pluspunten:
I most liked the ease of use, the flexibility in functionality, the integration with our EMR, and the visual attractiveness of the product.
Minpunten:
I least liked the requirement to close patient information in one section before opening a different section for the same patient.
User friendly software

Good Functionality

Functionality for the money is good. It integrates with our EHR well.

Best in the Market
Opmerkingen: Support is great, easy setup, easy navigation. I would highly recommend anyone move over to CMD.
Pluspunten:
It's easy to use, cloud-based, and the Dashboards and Reporting are the best, hands down.
Minpunten:
Payer Agreements have come a long way with CollaborateMD and are very straight forward but I'm always looking for ways to make this easier and faster for providers/groups. Possibly be able to log into the ChangeHealthcare portal in the application would make it easier. Their website is not as user-friendly as CMD. It would also be nice to schedule reports to be delivered to users, user's emails, and on certain frequencies.

SOME FEATURES ARE REDUNDANT AND YOU HAVE TO GO TO SEVERAL OTHER SECTIONS TO DO THINGS INSTEAD OF IT BEING IN ONE SPOT. POSTING OPTIONS SHOULD ALL BE IN THE SAME SECTION. CHECKING ACTIVITY SHOULD NOT OPEN A WHOLE OTHER COLLABORATE AS IF I LOGED BACK IN AGAIN...SEVERAL OTHER THINGS AS WELL ARE INCONVENIENT

THE BEST MED SOFTWARE
Pluspunten:
Collaborate is an easy to use software that is user friendly with many easy to navigate features. Many options on every reporting tab. Patient portal, demographics, financial and insurance information. This program also has auto updates that allows you to choose from the most updated icd10 codes and claim choices.
Minpunten:
The customer service could use improvement. Collaborate requests that you contact customer support through a message center and sometimes with the busy work flow the instant assistance would be more beneficial. If you are working on a report for the practice and need immediate assistance, you have to place the task to the side until Collaborate contacts you via message or via a phone call. They do have a self help option that sometimes needs more assistance with a one on one customer service rep
Best billing software available!
Opmerkingen: I have used CollaborateMD for over 5 years and have never thought about looking at switching since we first set up our account with them. I never have any issues and have very rarely every had to even reach out to customer service.
Pluspunten:
It is very straight-forward, easy to access and quickly do what is needed.

I wish I had more options with the statements.

I can say with confidence from my own experiences plus colleagues' reported experiences with several of the most well known medical billing/practice management systems, that Collaborate MD is the best product among them all. It's the easiest, fastest, most intuitive, user friendly product with unlimited professional support in every area for as long as you have the product. They have one goal, to get their customer's claims paid as fast as possible, and they take it very seriously. They are constantly improving their product with many updates throughout the year which include implementing customer's input to maintain a cutting edge product that is continually evolving. For the price, it's a steal in comparison to other systems. If they ever get wise to what they have, they would charge far more for their services.

Nothing. Product is exceptional all around and the people are top-notch professionals who know their product and area of expertise.
Opmerkingen: I am the biller for a psychologist and his assistant. We have a small practice with a high Medicare volume. I started looking for a program because of the rejections from Medicare. I had to do double entry; by creating the claims on a PDF formatted HCFA form to print out on the actual forms and then mailing the claims in. Once they were mailed, my provider had to wait for up to a month for reimbursement of the claims. It was costing us a fortune to create these claims! The system we were using was not meeting our needs when it came to scheduling both of the providers in the office. When we started on April 1st with CollaborateMD we were using 8.3.1 but a recent upgrade brought us up to 8.4. The upgrade was seamless and introduced the ability to assign tasks to other users (which I love!). The implementation went very fast. The data entry took about 2 weeks because I was doing it alone, but since our providers only see about 30-40 patients a week, it wasn't horrible. I did enter every patient from the old system just for the history. The training was through and I felt very supported and still do by our implementation specialist, Amanda. The only hiccup, if you will, has been with a payor denying claims that would not be denied on their own website due to a member ID number discrepancy. The customer support has been wonderful. I call or email Amanda and I get a response quickly if not right away. I have benefitted from this change because I am getting most of my payments by ERA and now submitting most every claim electronically. I only have 1 payor who is not currently accepting electronic claims submission. I am very happy with my choice in this program. My only complaint is I wish we could have done it sooner.

Review of CollaborateMD
Pluspunten:
One of the most positive things about Collaborate MD is their willingness to listen and change their software if they can and if the platform allows the change requested.
Minpunten:
The reports on Collaborate MD seem extensive and is promoted as "write any report that you can imagine", however, writing reports that include Revenue, Receipts and Adjustment is not an option and simply can not be done. In addition, month end and year end reports are not saved on the system, should you require month end or year end information it is necessary to collect and save reports to Excel or similar software. The problem with this is predicting exactly what you may need to report 1 to 5 years or longer from now. In a "real time" environment it is difficult to balance daily reports much less monthly or annual. All input to the system must stop until you gather reports or they do not balance, if you are a 24/7 facility this can create a nightmare for accounting.
We have been using CollaborateMD for several years and are very satisfied.

Pluspunten:
CollaborateMD makes it easy to bill multiple claims quickly and efficiently. I like that it instantly notifies you of any errors on a claim before it is sent to the clearinghouse. Rejection reports are easy to understand and link you to the claim form to instantly make necessary corrections.
Minpunten:
We honestly have not had much trouble with this software. I can't remember the last time we needed customer support, which is awesome!
