Best EMR for the money

Opmerkingen: I have used numerous EMR system in the past. In the clinic alone, this the third one we used. Praxis cuts back on my documentation time to less than an hour a day which is pretty good considering that I see > 20 patient a day. Technical support is outstanding. Very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable.

The first week of use requires building your knowledge base and can be challenging. However, as created two or three documents, it gets easier every time.

This kind of flexibility is essential in a fast-paced clinic, unlike template systems, where editing can be a headache. Praxis also excels at managing chronic patients, adapting smoothly to their ongoing needs. Its adaptive learning capabilities are impressive; the system "learns" how I think and offers flexible treatment tools based on specific scenarios. Over time, it becomes faster and more efficient, aligning perfectly with my style of practice. One of the biggest time-savers with Praxis is the ability to save and reuse common documentation elements. This feature eliminates the need to repeatedly type out standard phrases, a common frustration with more rigid template based systems. Overall, Praxis has greatly improved the speed and accuracy of my clinic’s documentation. No EHR is perfect, and Praxis does require online training but once you get the hang of it, Praxis lets you document far more quickly than the other systems, with far less clicking. This in itself really makes all the difference in the world!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Praxis EMR first 4 months

Opmerkingen: Frustrating training. Very slow. Not consistent. Very robust in what it can do. But I think it will take me a while until I get to the point that I can really appreciate it. The concept pf the processer is great.

Pluspunten:

It is different in that every thing is set up in one page for a SOAP note instead of having different windows for the note, the diagnosis , meds, etc. This is easier than flipping around the chart. Also, when you put something in the note, such as the prescription, or a referral, it sends it when you close the note. So you aren't having to do something twice.

Minpunten:

It is different as it is set up so the processor needs to "learn" what you do to help you write notes. You have a full note available and then activate or deactivate what pertains. Unfortunately the Plan section is a little disjointed and doesn't have this ability. In fact that is one of the most annoying things that there is not one consistent way to do things. Some processes take one click , some take two, some you check "ok" and some you click "enter". There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason. And my training had no idea why it is like that or how to help me know which way other than wrote memory. So the training is very uphill and the setting up of "assessments", their idea of templates, is very cumbersome. So I think that once I get there, it will be very useful . The other big downfall is that it is runs very slow. They recently migrated to Postgress to fix this, but I don't see a difference except there seem to be fewer crashes.

The ease of use, not having to click on each point , I am able to free write notes on specified patient and it will save to that specific patient or also save in general for patients with similar diagnosis The system learns how you write and document

I have used praxis for many years, the one minor issue I would say is with the way controlled medication need to be sent to the pharmacy

PRAXIS - The only AI (Concept Processor) EMR... THAT LEARNS FROM THE USER.

Opmerkingen: My experience with Praxis has been nothing short of AMAZING. Is it perfect? NO!!! BUT, what Praxis has is something I have NEVER experienced with any other EMR and that is that it's corporate philosophy is that its clients are the teachers and Praxis is the student.
