Great Company with Great Customer Service
Opmerkingen: Overall I am pleased with our purchase. The customer service group has been able to help with any issues over the past 2 years and always willing to do so. The follow up on issue that are not resolved immediately is great. It is not a call and forget system.
Pluspunten:
Easy to use and train new employees. Easy to add new tests and integrate into EMR.
Minpunten:
There are some reports that I would like to customize for our lab and that was not an option.

Many things are customizable in CGM SCHUYLAB including tests, panels, screens, and reports. Whenever possible, our support team can help you customize your reports, as desired. Schuylab flexibel and easy to use
Opmerkingen: As an LIS administrator I had the opportunity to either work and or maintain different lab information systems. Using Schuylab opened up a world of possibility. While other programs did shine in stability (it never crashed) it was a nightmare to produce the most basic statistical report.
Pluspunten:
Ease of use. Having experience with LIS based on Concurrent DOS and Linux, working and maintaining Schuylab is such a breeze. Not difficult to use and yet very elegant, specially when you interface your Schuylab with other systems and or analyzers.
Minpunten:
Because it ease of use most users underestimate the underlying complexity. In most cases we overcomplicate a problem while the solution is not that difficult. One tip for users: follow the standards

We designed the software with a familiar, icon-based interface so that technicians and lab managers could find their way around intuitively. This minimizes the training required, and new users become comfortable with the software quickly. Our multi-language capabilities have made CGM SCHUYLAB the system of choice in laboratories around the world and in bi-lingual labs throughout the United States.
Avoic companies that DO NOT honor their contracts
Opmerkingen: Deceptive sales, inept installation, weak support, and an attitude of. PAY US , even tho we never once fulfilled the contract we agreed,

Nothing .
Minpunten:
EVERYTHING. System never worked a single day for a single piece of data. Excuse and delay over and over. Finally they admitted they were never fulfilling the contract. Didnt' stop them from desperately trying to get paid for their worthless system.
Schuylab 20 year user
Opmerkingen: I have used Schuylab for 20 years and have not complaints. I never had an interface fail and I was never down due to software failure.
Pluspunten:
The ease of use and the cost effectiveness. Support was very good and responded to my lab's needs quickly and efficiently.
Minpunten:
I really have no negatives. It responds to all my needs and is loved by the lab inspectors.

CGM SCHUYLAB has been a leader in laboratory information systems for more than 25 years, and you've been with us for most of that time. As you've seen, we've continued to enhance and update our software over the years. In 2020 and 2021, we introduced a batch order import and a QR-code-enabled report to improve the speed and quality of service our labs provide in response to the demands of COVID-19 testing. Our development team continues to expand the capabilities of the system, and we look forward to introducing new features and functionality for our clients every year.
Great Product
Opmerkingen: still relative virgins in its use but pleased none the less.
Pluspunten:
The extent of the variables that were put in to the design is impressive. Knowing that many laboratory practices vary widely, Schuyler does force you to follow only one style of operation. Most of all is their willingness to be open to suggestions and to implement them as their feasability becomes apparent.
Minpunten:
Its method of dealing with critical value calls by secondary personnel.

Thanks Frank, We're always happy to hear when a new user is already satisfied with the system we've developed. CGM SCHUYLAB can be configured to meet the needs of each unique laboratory. Hospital labs, for example, will use the optional Turnaround Time Monitor and Draw Monitor to improve their workflow efficiency. With the information displayed by the Draw Monitor, phlebotomists can tell at a glance what to do and who to see next. Additionally, our in-house technical support team is a source of pride for CompuGroup Medical.
