affordable software for small business

Opmerkingen: At first I was skeptical about this software. However, after using it for creating invoices to my clients I find it quite easy to manage. Once I have updated the other transactions into the system, it feels so easy to do it on a day to day basis. I am now suggesting small business owner to use Financio.

Pluspunten:

Simple and easy to use. Reasonable functions for small business to start recording business transactions and managing their business finance. Mobile friendly. It does not have a mobile app but using it on mobile browser is not a problem.

Minpunten:

Sometimes the figures that were keyed in were changed by the system without warning. Really need to be aware before clicking the save and approved button.

Easy to use - for Singapore, Malaysia users

Opmerkingen: The company has been building up its self-help resources so that's good. It recently (9 Aug 2021) launched an upgrade with a MASSIVE price hike (from SGD9.95/month to SGD25/month!!). Attended the webinar and the guy presenting was very self congratulatory which I found funny. The improvements won't make much difference to my small firm, so I'm not sure if we will stay on with this huge increase in price after DBS Bank stops its subsidies. Sometimes feel like there's a language barrier with the customer support personnel. Writing in or chatting to describe the issue, I really try my best to be super simple and explicit. But oftentimes it will still be misunderstood and I had to spend more time explaining.

Pluspunten:

One of the slicker looking accounting software that's catered to Singapore businesses. Several I was considering still use some 1990s ugly interface and grey buttons etc that felt like I was running some old Windows program. Was also really affordable at SGD9.95 a month. Ties in with DBS Ideal business banking account, so it is really convenient as the invoices have a QR code that payors can scan to do easy transfers.

Minpunten:

The Saving prompt can cause confusion sometimes. If I'm viewing an old invoice and then try to exit, it prompts me to save. If I'm not paying attention and hit Save, it sends the recipient an email saying this invoice is changed — when there wasn't. Wish also that after any Invoice/SO etc is approved & sent but not yet viewed by recipient (it's tracked), any changes saved will Not send another email notification to the recipient that something has changed. After all this is a cloud system and the recipient has to click into the email link to see the document. Not trying to be shady by changing the document or terms after sending out, but sometimes there's just a tiny correction or item missed out and it would be useful to be able to change it quickly if the recipient has not yet seen it.
