Pluspunten:

I have used ADP on and off with companies I have owned or been an officer of since 1997. The company and the people who work here are knowledgeable and good people to work with.

Minpunten:

The software is not well put together and doesn't flow naturally. Additionally, screens will freeze on you and you will have to start over.

ADP is easy and simple to use

Opmerkingen: I feel confident in ADP as a company. As i have know about them for a very long time. Since at least 1980 in Syosset NY. Long story short, I have seen them grow over the years and i know how things are run there. They have been around a long long time and have only grown with time. So i have the utmost respect and confidence in ADP as a company.

Pluspunten:

Customer service is spot on. I always can get help when i need it and i get to speak to a human being. I like the ease of inputting information and feel like they actually care.

Minpunten:

Just a little pricey. But i feel confident that i always have help. As a small business owner in NY we just pay so much for everything. But as a service in NY i get that it is a cost to run a business. Our payroll is our whole business. We do our best to save on costs but its not easy.

NO COMUNICATION, DISRESPECTFUL

nothing!! i suggest to run away from adp asap!! no customer support at all.

Minpunten:

they Dont comunicate with customers, the have a sales team that wont reply to emails or take for ever to reach back about key problems or issues, i was a customer for adp in the roll, platform and was changing to run from adp, all of sudden my account was terminated with no explanation what so ever, for a whole week i was trying to reach support to see where my account was, they never gave me answers nothing, that is was in implementation, reach out to that department and they said it was terminated because i didnt run payroll!! omg how can we run payroll if we where never notified that it was ready to do so!! no sense then, the only thing they can say am really sorry sir, we are sorry sir, we will have the sales person manager reach out to you then again they never do!!!

There were many features in RUN that were suboptimal or that just didn't work at all. Their support teams were horrendous.

Good service, but expensive

Pluspunten:

Overall, I'm satisfied with the ADP payroll service. I've used many of the payroll services on the market (ADP, Paycheck, Heartland, Patriot). I think ADP is one of the better ones. The reporting interface is super easy to use, and their direct deposit is the best among competitors. By that, I mean the required deposit dates, in order to make payroll processing, you just need 1 day in advance to get the money ready in your account, everyone else need minimum 3 days.

Minpunten:

One of the pricer options among competitors. I ran weekly payroll for 8 - 10 employees, with a big discount, it costs me about $75-$90 per payroll. in comparison, Patriot only costs around $65 per month (4-5 payrolls)! One other thing to consider is (this is true to all payroll service companies), that your salesperson probably won't be there for too long, other words, once they sign you up, they will pretty much disappear, good luck getting any support from them, every time you ask for help, they'll just refer to customer service 800 number. it makes you feel like, you're on your own.

ADP Run User

Opmerkingen: Overall experience is a very positive one. It does everything I need to make running payroll easy for me.

Pluspunten:

I love the chat feature. If I ever need anything they are always there to help. Paid Time Off tracking is very useful.

Minpunten:

There is nothing that really that I can think of that I don't like.

ADP will save you time and money!

Opmerkingen: We love ADP. There are not many times we need customer support so that doesn’t keep us from continuing this product.

Pluspunten:

I love the payroll reminders and the ability to update employees in real time.

Minpunten:

Often times the customer service is really backed up and you experience long wait times.

Once I signed up and used it for a few months, I found it a bit complex. After using a different tool for payroll, I think ADP has a chance to improve their user interface and make it easier for business owners to understand payroll and taxes

Great software

Opmerkingen: I have had a great experience so far. I have been using ADP for 2 years and will continue.

The ease of setting up payroll and my account executive is very responsive.

Minpunten:

The cost went up by $10 a month when I cancelled the 401K plan

Bad customer service

Opmerkingen: Terrible. Never want to use the service!

Pluspunten:

It sounds very easy to use the app, but it’s too many requests for the approval.

Minpunten:

Payment (banking) and account set up are different teams, plus the customer service is different team….they don’t work with each other.

Mostly Easy to Use

Opmerkingen: Helping us keep in compliance with State law.

Pluspunten:

Timekeeping feature is a great timesaver.

Minpunten:

There are still glitches with changing employee status (say from contractor to full time employee) Have had to call the help desk EVERY time I do this.

Huge time saver

Pluspunten:

The ability to run payroll quickly and easily was a huge draw. The biggest benefit is the knowledge that we are compliant with all of the ever changing tax requirements. All of our taxes are paid automatically which is also a huge time saver. I'm excited to see how it helps with year-end reporting.

Minpunten:

Integration with the desktop version of Sage 50 was a little cumbersome. It works, but doesn't import the data in the way that we were used to. It's just fine, but not perfect. Setup happened at the end of a quarter and took a little bit too much back and forth to get working properly. Support wait times were unusually high.

Quit ADP because of their "security"

Opmerkingen: So, when I decided to leave ADP, they didn't file my quarter 1 even though I changed right at the end of quarter 1. Thus resulting in my filings being late, late fines, headaches, etc. I would not recommend ADP to anyone I care about.

Pluspunten:

ADP has some positives. Their customer service is always polite and helpful. Otherwise, hard for me to say much positive.

Minpunten:

ADP must be the only software company in the world that hasn't resolved what is a very simple issue. If one of my employees forgot their password and could not log in to see their paystubs, I, the administrator, had to call ADP to get it resolved. Their is no option for employees to call customer service themselves to fix it. ADP always stated that this was for "security reasons," which I find hard to believe, as every other company has figured this out. I kept ranting at them and finally they gave me a code to give to any employee that was locked out to prove they had permission to see their paystubs. Next time it happened, I gave the code to the employee, and ADP still called me to make sure they had permission. That was the last straw! I am a business owner and administrator, my time is too valuable to be calling them all the time when this is absolutely resolvable.

Doing payroll in ADP in VERY easy!

Opmerkingen: Since I didn't do payroll before I started working at my current position, I feel that it is fairly easy to use. If I can learn to use it, anyone can.

Pluspunten:

I like the ease of running all of the reports and that most of the ones you need are listed as standard reports. They also prepared PPP loan reports as standard reports to make your life easier.

Minpunten:

I don't like that when you have to divide salary employees into different accounts that it only keeps the first amount you put in. You have to manually add the other amounts every time.

Ease of use is the Best feature

I love how easy it is to use! You can do the onboarding or have your employee do it! I have looked at other, cheaper options but this system is really a no brainer!

Minpunten:

If you have questions the customer service Dept is not great! Overall I find ADP to be lacking in the customer service area! I reach out to other school owners who use ADP for help, for the few times I’ve had questions or concerns

Easy to Use for Small Start Ups

Opmerkingen: Starting my own non-profit, I was looking for ease of use to run payroll and submit taxes. There is so much to figure out when starting up and taxes and payroll seemed overwhelming to me. However, this has Run ADP has made this all a 5 minute part of my month. And, I have no stress that I am in compliance. I thought ADP was only for large companies, but well worth the investment to save me lots of time.

Pluspunten:

The best part of ADP is the real live person you can call to get help in setting up and with any questions.

Minpunten:

I got a lot of follow up sales calls for other aspects, but told them no, but kept receiving the calls.

my opinion 2

Opmerkingen: adp paying our payroll taxes is a task taken out of our hands and is done correctly and cost very little.

Pluspunten:

easy for employees to see their hours and pay stubs. very easy to set up new employees in their system and have things work the first time.

Minpunten:

app sometimes does not work so employees can not clock in or out. this then has to be corrected by admin so it adds extra work for them when things lock up

Run ADP - Payroll Review

Pluspunten:

Worked consistently. Very low downtime. Transactions and reporting were smooth and convenient/

Minpunten:

The customer support for worker’s compensation, 401k, and payroll issues was less than stellar. Wait times from hours to days were common. Workers comp support was horrendous.

Pluspunten:

Run is very easy to use and is great for smaller companies. You are even able to work with your specialist to get WC insurance set up on your platform, but of course for an additional cost. It also integrates with a time clock portal to import your hourly employees, hours, including overtime.

Minpunten:

We have not had any issues when using this platform.

Run Powered by ADP is great online software for busy office managers

Pluspunten:

The graphs, calendars, and reminders make it easy to stay organized. Easy payroll and W-2s. Direct deposit. Paperless. Onboarding and offboarding employees accurately. Vacation/leave tracking.

Minpunten:

I haven't had any problems using this software. And it's online, so if I need to run payroll while I'm away from the office, I can still do that.

Easy to use to pay employees or contractors via direct deposit, they file all the important reports and make sure taxes are taken out and filed as well.

Minpunten:

Sometimes the system can be glitchy and difficult to set up new states.

Run Powered By ADP Is So Easy To Use!

Opmerkingen: I save so much more time using RUN by ADP for payroll and employee management. It takes a lot off of my plate and the fact that I can access it from anywhere is a wonderful bonus. The app works so well on my phone that I've processed payroll while out of town many times with no trouble at all. Payroll should be quick, simple, accessible and ADP RUN delivers on all of those needs.

Pluspunten:

The ADP Run payroll platform has been making my life as an office manager easier since 2011. I recommend it to anyone asking about payroll platforms and I hope my office never changes. There are so many behind the scenes things that RUN does for you, like the pesky calculations to see which part-time employees qualify as full-time and have to be counted for the ACA insurance requirements. Done! ADP does that time equivalency for you! State new-hire reporting? ADP does that for you too. Entering employees and processing payroll is a breeze! The payroll reports are thorough and the W-2 processing and mailing is all done by them as well. If you haven't used ADP before then do yourself a favor and call them, you won't regret it.

Minpunten:

My main complaint would be on the employee side of the software. Employees can access their paycheck stubs through a platform called Employee Access. I like that it's available and I can manage it on the RUN side but sometimes the website is buggy. The employees say the app on their phones works better than the website. So you will have to reset passwords at times. I hope ADP addresses the glitches with that website.

RUN is a good platform for a global company, easy to use, cost effective & great customer support.

Pluspunten:

Scalability, portability, reliability, ease of use, security, reporting & customer support are the most valued features when it comes to RUN powered by ADP. Our payrolls can grow or shrink very rapidly. This platform allows us to quickly transition our staff size & allows an international team to onboard, process payroll and terminate employees easily & efficiently. We can work anywhere that there is an internet connection & can focus on our core business and rely on ADP to handle taxes and garnishments. The application is well organized & easy to navigate. Security has greatly improved empowering employees & administrators. Central database is secure while always at my finger tips. Standard reporting & Adhoc reporting features are great! Customer Support deserves lots of credit - they are helpful, professional & supported us with difficult HR & technical questions passing along problems & ideas effectively. Finally, ADP has listened to suggestions & continuosly improved its software since 2010.

Minpunten:

There are two items that I like the least about this software. They are both related. Most important is the lack of a feature allowing us to import our payroll data into the "Payroll Task". When we grow it is very time consuming & cumbersome to key in all the data. A feature to import the payroll data would be fantastic! I do not want to go to another platform, which allows the data from the proprietary Time Tracking software to be imported. ADP has tried to sell me this but RUN is perfect for us - just the payroll processing is more cumbersome when under time crunch & when we have lots of employees working different shifts, at different rates, with OT, double time, etc. Second point is the capability of a payroll administrator being able to input/review/edit the data in the Payroll Task & save it. Should not be able to add or delete the Task and not be able to RUN the task (impound the bank). But my team could help out in different time zones if this 2nd feature would be implemented.

RUN Powered by ADP Review

Opmerkingen: Overall I like ADP because it is a whole lot easier than the old way of doing things and it a lot easier than our other system. There are some quirks with it and it could stand to be a bit more modernized, but even still its a decent service that offers a lot of neat things that can be extremely useful.

Pluspunten:

As an employee I liked being able to log in and view my W-2s quickly as well as the employee handbook and PTO. As a person who also runs the payroll its nice being able to see an excel type form of all the employees across the board. I like being alerted when money is coming out so I know exactly whats going on especially since the funds came out earlier than what I thought. There is also a nice break down of everything. I like the idea of having all the employee perks that can be added on and will maybe be implementing more in the future. Lastly I liked being able to change some of the other employees banking information without too much of a hassle. There were 2 employees that changed banks shortly after getting ADP and requested their direct deposits go to their new banks and I assumed it would be a hassle to get them set up again, but it was pretty easy.

Minpunten:

It took some time and frustration to set it up and even still its not fully functional as far as the perks that are promised with the service. We have the vendor discounts at different restaurants and stores as well as a retirement plan, but it took a bit of time to set it up because the rep that was assisting us couldn't get through to the customer service. Another thing I was not expecting was that the money was being withdrawn the night before the actual payday. I'm not sure if that is an ADP thing or just how things work sometimes as this is the first time I've run payroll. It was also frustrating having to log into multiple services. As an employee and then to run payroll. I set up 2 log ins, but I feel like if you are an employee running payroll everything should be in 1 space.

Opmerkingen: The software is easy to use, you can run payrol without any issues. You can add employees by yourself or send them a link for them to do the process by themselves.

Pluspunten:

The fact that the software sends reminders that you need to run payrol and gives you advises on how to do it.

Minpunten:

Reports - In my personal opinion, if you need to get a specific report, you can find it but you'll need to look for it for a few minutes.
