Mosyle: Started for Schools with Macs - A MUST HAVE for Businesses with Macs
Opmerkingen: Very good. From the beginning of the POC all the way to present-day they help me to answer questions I can't find in their KB to helping me with a script when it doesn't do what I expect.
Moysle is very simple to connect to your Apple account and setup as a MDM. In fact, Moysle Tech Support / Pre-Sales did this with us as we setup our Proof of Concept (POC) so it was super painless. They helped us with program snippets, as well as showed us how to work and have been continuously helpful, even after I've gotten my sea-legs with their tool.
Moysle does take time to truly understand what you are doing. their interface is very good, but Apple themselves make it so you need to track down a lot of different pieces of info like AppID bundles, etc to truly harness the power of managing them.
An MDM for the people
Opmerkingen: While I could go and talk about the specific features and things Mosyle can do - it's an MDM, if you are an admin reading this - you likely already know what it is and can do. What I will say thought is that Mosyle previously on it's website advertised that anyone can take a look at their offering and will not be harassed by salesmen, so we took it for a trial, played with it and evaluated it. We talked to support about our questions and ran a pilot for it in our organization. At no point was there ever a question posed to us to buy a license or to start paying - we were treated as fellow admins. Of course, we had problems, some were our fault, some were a bug/"feature" of macOS, some were on Mosyles end - but at the end of the day, we were just treated as fellow admins and this shows throughout the product. At no point I wanted to curse out having to use Mosyle, if anything I'm excited to log in to it, with Jamf Pro - I dread having to go into it's console. While we are still piloting Mosyle and a switch is not imminent yet - if it was only up to me - I would have switched to Mosyle in a heartbeat from Jamf. If you are an Admin - give Mosyle a try, if you don't like it - there is no commitment and you now have a free MDM to dump some random devices in for testing things.
Mosyle is, for the lack of a better word - like a breath of fresh air. Mosyle is simple to configure, simple to administer, granular RBAC, it follows the principle of keeping 1 profile to managing only a single setting group - making it extremely easy to troubleshoot/modify profiles. Your technicians will say "Thank You" when they can do nearly anything they can do over SSH/ARD with only a couple of clicks in the Mosyle admin panel.
Mosyle support is very helpful and answered any questions we had - but the support is based in the US and operate during standard US working hours, so support outside those hours is limited. Documentation is provided and available although it is not as extensive as the documentation from Jamf.
Patchy application needs major work
Advertised as an excellent product but needs major work.
Customer support is something to be desired.
Endless features, has just as much as JAMF
Customer support is poor, response times are too long Emails to account management are ignored The application itself is buggy, things sometimes work and when they don't customer support can't give an explanation, quite unreliable.
Mosyle 1 year review
How easy it was to set up and that it integrates perfectly with Google Workspace, since we don't use a traditional AD or IAM software we rely heavily on integrations with Google and Mosyle have really managed to make it easy and seamless to connect with almost zero hiccups.
The interface can sometimes be a tad slow and one thing that I sometimes get a bit frustrated about is navigating in the management console since it's all in the same page. I like to hit backspace/back button on my mouse to go back but that takes me away from the management console. With that fixed I would rate this 5/5 rather than 4.5/5
Mosyle delivers on everything and more

My favourite thing about Apple products is Mosyle. I honestly hate Apple products. But Mosyle has actually enabled my IT team to easily manage my company's Apple products. Roll out was painless once we navigated the labyrinth of Apple's bureaucracy. Mosyle has all the tools I needed, wanted, and didn't even think about. And I'm not even done exploring all the features and functionality yet.
Honestly my only difficulties right now are in dealing with Apple and the bureaucracy required to get things like an Apple Customer Number.
