Reviews over Microsoft Excel
There is a reason Excel is the industry standard
Opmerkingen: I am happy with Excel overall. It helps me keep all different aspects of my life and business organized into clean customizable spreadsheets.
It is fairly easy to use and to learn how to use. It can be used to take information exported from other programs into one universal format. Easy to customize them to the look and format that works for your workflow. I use it for everything from budget spreadsheet to inventory of equipment for photography business, that I can use to keep organized and to send to my insurance company for business insurance.
Some of the formula and more advanced stuff takes a while to learn. I just take learning Excel a little at a time and it is manageable.

Excel: The Best Way to Organize Your Data
Opmerkingen: I have had a positive experience with Microsoft Excel. It is a powerful tool that has helped me to be more efficient and organized in my work. I have used it to create spreadsheets, track data, and perform various calculations. It is user-friendly and has multiple features that make it a valuable tool for anyone who needs to work with a small amount of data.
I use Excel almost on a daily basis. I like many things about it, but some of my favorite features are the ability to quickly create charts and graphs and the ability to perform quick calculations. I also like the fact that Excel is very user-friendly and with advanced features that are easy to learn.
Sometimes the auto-formatting can be disadvantageous, for example in my case it auto-formats "Gene Names" into dates.

Complicated to use
Opmerkingen: This software did not really allow me to work as I wanted.
Just the import of the data which is quite simple
The spreadsheet is difficult to use and you need to have some advanced training to use it comfortably
Improved substantially over time, still challenging for collaboration
Opmerkingen: Overall positive in it's ability to run locally with the most robust features, but in an era where collaboration must happen in real time on the Cloud, it has been frustrating to collaborate. Most fully featured platform though.
Most robust spreadsheet platform that has the most comprehensive amount of formulas, graphics, pivot tables, and just technical features, runs locally so if you're on the airplane you can still run everything.
Weak on Cloud and collaboration. You have to log out of the platform for a teammate to make edits. Since team members don't get to work on the project at the same time huge efficiency is lost as some teammates just have to wait until it's their turn whereas Google Sheets you can operate everything at the same time.
A must (if well used)
I have been using spreadsheet since Framework (under DOS), up to Lotus 123, Google Sheets and Excel: the latter is the last standing, and for a reason.: it sports all the functions you need, and the kitchen sink.
It leads power users to discover its inmost secrets and became Masters of the Universe with its advanced functionality and tricks
A standard for all your data analysis chores and for organizing information. It requires years of dedication to scratch the surface and enjoy its real, underlying power.
Somehow overkill if you just need to align strings and numbers; it could lead to the "hammer and nail" syndrome ("when you handle a hammer, everything seems to be a nail"). Could lead to a docu-centric view instead of a data-centric one.
