The best part of this tool is we can plan, prepare and execute using this tool. Can use CICD pipeline Developers, Testers, Managers, BA, POs and clients at one place

Minpunten:

Nothing least, it's costly comparatively Need some documentation

Opmerkingen: Very flat learning curve means that everybody can start working with it right from the start, learning more complex things along the way. As a developer you have better things to do than to learn yet another new product that should just be there to support the "real" work (developing). Devops is perfect from that perspective.

Pluspunten:

Devops is not just devops... it's total devops. A whole suite of things from release management, build automation, time management, ticketing, scrum and task boarding to source repository. I don't think anything is left out. It's all very much connected, which means for instance that creating a new branche can become a new ticket that is automatically placed on a task board etc.

Minpunten:

I don't think anything is missing, but at some points it's not very intuitive. I still have to search every time to get to specific features of my build and release configuration. Security features are very good, but there too I find myself trying to understand how it works every time again.

Azure DevOps Services - all you need in one place

Opmerkingen: All in all, it is a very good product, I think Microsoft is going in the right direction I just hope they continue to improve it, it's way better than the old Team Foundation Server.

Pluspunten:

Integration with other Microsoft products and the fact that you can do everything in it without having to add anything else, you can manage projects, have source-control, develop software, manage release, integrate automation into your build pipeline, manage manual tests, etc.

Minpunten:

I wish Test Plans had a cheaper tier or maybe a free plan with basic features, quite pricey this way.

Good management platform for Microsoft-based companies

Pluspunten:

Azure DevOps Services integrates very nicely with other Microsoft products (or Azure products, to be more specific). It also provides a nicely designed interface, not only from design standpoint, but also from user experience standpoint.

Minpunten:

In my opinion, it pushes the need for other Azure products a little bit too hard, making it very difficult to use in more heterogenous ecosystem.

Robust, Effective Tool

Opmerkingen: Overall still very happy with the product. Like it much more than Jira.

Pluspunten:

The ability to manage our large portfolio of work amongst our teams. The traceability of being able to tie code to user stories is great for auditing purposes. Release mgmt functionality is great.

Minpunten:

Wish it were more robust from Portfolio Mgmt perspective. We had to go with a different product to meet the needs of our organization. So we need to double enter work from our portfolio mgmt tool into azure dev ops.
