Our company signed up, attended only the initial onboarding session, and quickly realized the platform was not the right fit for our business. We sent a written cancellation request immediately after our first onboarding meeting, before migrating our operations or fully implementing the software. Although Hostaway later confirmed in writing that our one-year agreement had been waived and that our subscription and account had been fully canceled, we were still billed for two additional monthly subscription fees. We disputed the charges with our credit card company but were unsuccessful. My biggest takeaway is not about the software itself—every PMS works differently and may be a great fit for some businesses. My concern is the contractual commitment and the cancellation process. If you're evaluating Hostaway: Read every contract provision carefully before signing. Ask detailed questions about the cancellation policy, notice period, and billing obligations. Don't assume that discovering during onboarding that the platform isn't the right fit will allow you to walk away without financial consequences. Keep every communication in writing. I wish I had known all of this before signing. I would also particularly like to mention Fatih from the onboarding team. He was fantastic throughout the entire onboarding process. The training sessions were very clear and easy to follow, and he has a great ability to explain even the more complex features in a simple and practical way. He was always friendly, patient, attentive and happy to answer all our questions.
