Great App - Easy to Use!

Opmerkingen: Overall, Whova is a great platform that I've used for work conferences. I enjoy the many different features such as the schedule (that you can add to your personal calendar right from the Whova app), the notifications when a session is starting, speaker powerpoints/materials available for download, community messaging board, and more! Great app!

Pluspunten:

Whova is easy to use and has a lot of helpful features. You can customize your notification preferences and it fulfills several needs all in one place!

Minpunten:

The only thing I could think of is that at times when using it for a conference, there were powerpoints attached to the speaker's profile and sometimes it wouldn't load correctly.

Whova Review

Opmerkingen: Our end users love the app. From an admin perspective, I love the ease of set up. Now that we are a few conferences in, we're able to leverage previous conference info to build content for the new conference. LOVE THAT!!

Pluspunten:

I love the engagement and set up is very easy

Minpunten:

It's sometimes challenging getting the right image sizes on the back end. However, it is very helpful that you provide what size they need to be. But, I end up doing a lot of editing and resizing outside of Whova to get the images right.

It works but is a little overwhelming

Opmerkingen: It worked for the conferences I have been a part of, but I would have preferred a simpler option.

Pluspunten:

Whova had lots of options and is flexible to accommodate a wide variety of needs.

Minpunten:

It is overwhelming and confusing and the scoreboard features seem unnecessary.

Great for a Fundraising Event

Opmerkingen: I've had a great experience with Whova using it for an annual charity fundraising event and appreciate the attentive customer service I've received.

Pluspunten:

The fee structure of Whova is far and away better than other event platforms I've used. We use Whova for a fundraising event, so lower fees help us raise more money for charity. Everything on the platform is super intuitive and user-friendly.

Minpunten:

It's not a con, but there are a lot of features I don't use on the platform so I don't necessarily use it to the most of its capabilities.

Opmerkingen: This was the first year that I really used Whova. I attempted to explore and use all of the features. Using this app was so much neater than lugging around reams of paper schedules throughout the conference. It was really easy to select what agenda items that I wanted to attend. I also like the ability to take notes for each class (agenda item). Using this app was very intuitive and easy to navigate.

Pluspunten:

Everything that was on the PC version was on the mobile app. Whova was truly a "secretary in my pocket".

Minpunten:

can't really say...the product performed well.

Beware of Use

Opmerkingen: We will not be using this app again and I recommend that others don't use it either. The sales folks are very much about the upgrades and will nickel and dime you for every small add on. The help desk folks try to be helpful, but are up against the tremendous limitations of the system. This is overall a product that is engineered to make money rather than support the success of the users. We knew this going in and were happy to pay for some add ons, but others were not communicated at all at any point during the process much less in any help or FAQ documents.

Pluspunten:

While there are some pros, the cons by far overshadow anything good about this app. I was excited to use Whova as I used it as an attendee for other events. However, from the admin side, things are not as pleasant.

Minpunten:

There are many features that cannot be turned off. There are emails that go out to attendees without notice. Definitions vary from the proposal stage to the implementation stage: a speaker is also considered an attendee, although they may not attend and just need to be listed on the paper presentation. The most frequent response from their Help Desk begins with "Unfortunately..."

Handy and Useful!

Opmerkingen: Such a handy tool. I wish every conference I go to would use this! I loved having a one stop shop for the event. I felt connected before, during and after attending. The app was easy to use, kept me on track time wise and I always knew where to go which can be difficult in a new space.

Pluspunten:

Easily track what I am presenting at, where to go next, the agenda, the Q&A and ability to connect with others.

Minpunten:

I'm not a social media person, so wasn't engaging in the social aspects. It's not a bad aspect, just not for me. I appreciate it's available for others.

Whova is the best meeting app I have used

Opmerkingen: Excellent! It made our participation in the meeting so much easier and satisfying.

Pluspunten:

Easy to use and very intuitive. The QR scan for leads is a huge benefit for an exhibitor. Gamification - The doctors really got involved in the leaderboard. It was fun and it drew attendees into the app so they saw other features. Attendees actually used the messaging system and answered my messages.

Minpunten:

Can't think of anything I didn't like about the app.

Ease of usage

Opmerkingen: I would give it an 8, just for the length of time it took me to find the sign-on page.

Pluspunten:

The quality of video, the sound and color is very clear and rich. Assigning self to the workshops and a visual of my agenda was useful. The sign on was difficult from remote location as I connected through my work email. In the past an email was sent with the link, click, sign on and connect.

Minpunten:

How we signed on to the meeting. We had to go to a website, and find meeting and sign in with matching a picture.

Whova is a fine concept but has room to develop before it's an asset.

Opmerkingen: I had the opportunity to use Whova as a participant at an online conference. Initially I was excited by the idea of having forums to connect with other conference goers but in the end the platform introduced more noise than clarity to the proceedings.

Pluspunten:

It provided a centralized place to see the whole conference agenda with relevant links.

Minpunten:

Whova continually advertised itself as a product to me as a conference participant. Notifications and emails were particularly persistent.

WHOVA for virtual conferences

Opmerkingen: Love the experience, the sharp images, opportunity for group work and registration app

Pluspunten:

I love the images and the livestreaming . I simply love the ease of registration and the fact that we can keep track of the participants when they register

Minpunten:

I think the process for payment can be more simple and more easily accessible

Whova Intel

Opmerkingen: my overall experience with the Whova app would be that I really enjoyed using this app. It was a fun way to interact with the attendees. I did enjoy using it, but I felt like I was on my phone 24/7 trying to get points to be ahead of people, that I just stopped trying to be in the "TOP 10"

Pluspunten:

the thing I liked most about Whova was that it allowed us to interact with everyone who attended the conference. it made you step out of your comfort zone and join in on events without actually having to join in, which some people have a hard time interacting with people they do not know.

Minpunten:

since I am new to the Whova app I can't say that there was anything that I liked least about it. It was a learning experience. but if I had to choose something, it would be that it took away from the learning experience from the event. People were more focused on earning points through the classes and it could also be a distraction.

My experience with the Whova App

Opmerkingen: I am excited and happy for the opportunity to have used this app. It is such a relief concerning event planning and management.

Pluspunten:

Whova offers opportunities for planning and networking. In the 2024 TBT symposium, I was able to create my schedule from the main agenda and included networking opportunities with other participants based on where we studied and worked. I had a plan of which session I needed to attend and the room numbers where I needed to be. I am also happy with the possibility of taking notes under each session in the agenda.

Minpunten:

I realized that I had many emails from using the app.

Excellent platform for symposiums and conferences without leaving home.

Opmerkingen: Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and the best part is that you can watch the recordings later to review them better.

Pluspunten:

1-It is an easy-to-use and very intuitive platform. 2-It is free 3-Not only can you convene small symposia, but you could also convene an entire conference.

Minpunten:

It would be great if presentations (recordings) could be separated by speakers instead of sessions. Otherwise, I would have to watch the entire 40-minute session when I am only interested in a 10-minute presentation, which is in the middle of the recording.

Whova provided many useful features that enhanced the event experience, such as attendee discovery and messaging, session descriptions, room maps, and the ability to send events to mobile calendars.

Minpunten:

Navigation of the app took a little while to figure out.

Whova makes my life easier!

Opmerkingen: I attend other conferences online throughout the year, and the Whova App is the only app where I feel as though I am actually at the conference. The chatting between colleagues, the question boards, and chat rooms all give a connected feel that I cannot get with any other conference app. Thank you!!

Pluspunten:

It is very user- friendly and easy to figure out. When I am stuck, I can get help easily and quickly.

Minpunten:

My experience with Whova is limited to the National SCL Conference. I have no complaints at all with the Whova app. It gave me everything I needed to attend the conference and experience the benefits it offered. My only regret is that the SCL does not offer all of its workshops on the Whova app, so I have to be happy with limited options. I imagine this is probably due to the cost of streaming or recording the workshops, so they probably have to limit what is offered. It would be nice to be able to access all of the workshops.

Hooray for Whova

Opmerkingen: As a user of Whova, there are several benefits that I feel would be great for any organization who wants to manage an event with several attendees. As mentioned in previous comments, I really enjoyed the agenda and networking capabilities of Whova.

Pluspunten:

I really enjoyed the agenda feature in Whova. As a person who likes to plan ahead, it's important for me to be able to organize my day and know what's ahead. Using Whova, I could not only see the entire agenda for the conference, but I could select which courses/workshops I wanted to attend and create my own personal agenda which filtered out the classes I was not attending.

Minpunten:

Honestly, there wasn't much I didn't like about Whova. If I had to pick something, it would be the hundreds of notifications I could receive throughout the day. But there are ways to turn those off too... so it's not all that bad. However, if you're one that likes to clear out all the red notification marks, you could potentially spend a lot of time going through the app.

So helpful

Opmerkingen: I was glad to have the app on hand throughout the conference. Made it easy to keep up with others and keep track of my agenda. I think it was a great addition to the conference.

My training

Opmerkingen: I have participated in this training several times over and I have always gained information to help aid in providing services. If there is a negative comment sometimes too many training specifically aimed at the special operators versus special operations commando's as a whole.

Pluspunten:

The ease to assess all information. The availability for us to download topic information to use and review at later date.

Minpunten:

The sound during two of the speakers was very hard to listen too

Louisiana Jumpstart Convention Whova review

Opmerkingen: Wonderful experience using the Whova app!

Pluspunten:

I liked the convenience and the simplicity to utilize the app. I loved the more you did on the app the more points you received. So this challenged me to do a few things more than normal like reach out to a co-worker attending the same convention. It was a great app and worked seamlessly. I also loved that my phone's battery was not used heavily when using the app. It was also neat to see that seating was limited or full to capacity in a session.

Minpunten:

I did not like that the maps or direction to a session was not available.

Amazing app to connect!

Refreshing

Opmerkingen: I wish everyone would use Whova for virtual conference. With previous conferences their have been so many technical difficulties throughout the even but I did not experience any of that with Whova.

The agenda at a glance, the ability to take notes w/i the app to remember important aspects of presentations, the east at which you can connect with others and so much more.

Minpunten:

I don't like the fact that when I have to use Whova for work, I have to register with my work email and all of my personal events are somewhere else. I wish there were an easier way to toggle between personal and professional profiles.
