Deputy facilitates employee scheduling

Opmerkingen: Having a nearby application that makes use of our technology makes it all the more valuable. In particular, the team's knowledge opportunities for Vice customers are fantastic. I consider the time and effort invested learning and mastering Deputy to be worthwhile, even if I am already an advanced user.

Pluspunten:

Other scheduling tools I've tried were either impractical or too difficult to learn and utilize. Deputy is the best scheduling software I have used, and I have tried a few. It's easy to get the hang of, navigate, and succeed in.

Minpunten:

Turns off the door/window alarm. This quality is unnecessary, and the numerous safety precautions might be frustrating. Alter the range of colors available inside the span. The app's request and route customization features are user-friendly.

Pluspunten:

I absolutely love the online time clock and schedule feature. It also helps me keep track of a large team across multiple locations. My labor has never been more accurate. This is a great product with fair pricing.

Minpunten:

Importing to my payroll system was a little difficult at first but with support we worked out the kinks.

Cross it off your list of potential payroll providers

Opmerkingen: Woeful. Save yourself the time and trouble and pick something else - Keypay is a great option and probably the next option for us.

Customer service canned responses SCHADS Interpretation that is different to the award Errors in the software that are ignored - and then they start quoting the terms and conditions to me when I kick up about it So many inconsistencies in the product and they don't care

Easy and reliable scheduling tool

Opmerkingen: Deputy has an insane amount of features that help with the management of a business, but we mostly use it for our schedules and shifts, which has worked amazingly because the platform allows you to work quickly and in a simplified manner. It has also helped us in decreasing our costs regarding wages because we are able to plan our shifts according to our sales and make sure that we are scheduling our staff in the right time. It has helped us improve our communication and it's an effective product to save time and approve simple things like day-off requests without directly communicating with a team leader.

Pluspunten:

Deputy is an intuitive tool and it's one of my favorites because it can build many schedules in a matter of minutes and not have you forget essential aspects like employee skills, costs, and locations. The platform is available to all our teams and that also means that when someone can't make it, another employee is able to immediately swap shifts with them without going through the process of making calls, but I'm also able to pick them based on skills. Deputy also considers the legal parameters and makes sure that everything is on the right track, taking in consideration paid breaks, vacation, and premium pay. Lastly, I like the recent addition of Artificial Intelligence into the schedule maker because it creates almost-perfect schedules with the right amount of members taking into account the costs associated.

Minpunten:

My only issue with this software has got to be the mobile application, it has too many bugs and it's quite an inconvenience to use even though it should be useful for when we're not using our desktops. The app sometimes freezes randomly when using, especially when wanting to start a shift, and overall, it's a very slow app, when clicking on any function it will take ages to load the information, I wish this was improved as soon as possible because I want to be able to use the app without worrying.

A great system easy to use and great mobile app! Reports can be better but overall I am very happy with Deputy.

I have to create rosters, manage timesheets, monitor lot of activities including labour percentages and all and deputy provides such an easy and user friendly way of doing all that I do. Copying and pasting shifts is a joy. Overall user experience is great for me.

Minpunten:

Not that I remember in specific. However, total labour cost tracking mechanism like Employment Hero's would be a plus.

Built for Hospitality

Pluspunten:

Deputy is very user-friendly and well-designed for users at every level. We love the app the the accessibility that it offers (and is expected by) our staff. The onboarding feature is great - it has really streamlined our onboarding process.

Minpunten:

The newsfeed is handy but lacks functionality; you can attach a document, but we REALLY need a place to store company documents such as policies and handbooks so they can be easily referred to by staff (we currently have to email them). In order to meet the key needs of the customers, Deputy should implement this feature ASAP - please!!

What a surprise!

Opmerkingen: It solved a really great problem for my company, since the program I was using before didn't help me to monitor the time clock.

Really easy to use it, friendly interface and great customer service.

Minpunten:

That it doesn't remember the hours we set and if they're different from the ones programmed we can't do anything about it

Opmerkingen: As the primary user, I don't enjoy using Deputy, but it does the job that we need it to do.

Pluspunten:

It is necessary for us to have a scheduling software that has a mobile app with location services. Deputy does the job.

Minpunten:

In the past 2 years Deputy has gone through a few updates where they changed the location of certain functions and did not have a tutorial on where to find the moved functions. Additionally, some of our employees work overtime and Deputy will not add them to the schedule if they have more than 40 hours.

Deceptive conduct

Opmerkingen: Support team use email only. Most support issues are flicked back to the help videos and everything else you are told "we'll request this feature be added". It never is

Unless you own an iOS device, do not purchase this software. there is half functionality, and the support may aswell be non-existent, but deputy is more than happy to charge full price for half available software.

Very bad customer service

Opmerkingen: Average. Clunky. Doesn't upload or reload screens reliably.

Pluspunten:

Scheduling and timesheets. Seeing who is on shift.

Minpunten:

Customer Service. Once you finally get through to someone there knowledge of Deputy is very limited, and most repeat what you can read off Deputy's website. They can't answer anything even slightly remotely complex. The phone support is a farce. A box ticking exercise to say they have it, it would seem.

The employee scheduling and annual leave tracking are really important features for us.

Minpunten:

The timesheet approval process is quite long winded and it feels that the software is geared more towards restaurants or those on zero hour contracts instead of permanent/full time staff members.

Editing annual leave requests is almost impossible and it doesn't give the requester an opportunity to cancel the leave if they no longer need it.
