ISN is great for inspectors
Opmerkingen: Overall I enjoy the software. Some learning still to do and some improvements still needing to be made in the software to make it more use friendly. It simply has a ton of features but many that I don't use or don't really know how to use.
Pluspunten:
ISN has been a great addition to our business. I like the automation aspect it brings to scheduling and customer follow-up.
Minpunten:
I feel tutorials on the various items in the software would be very helpful. I'd also like to see multiple options for charges by square footage. I'd like to set some types of inspections to be charged a fee based on a range of square footage (i.e., $200 for 1500sf) as well as being able to setup another type of inspection that might be charged just by square footage (i.e., Warehouses get charge $0.10 per square foot). As it is now, I have to calculate a range and can't that level of drill down while having another calculation method. It's manageable but at the time it can be better.
Great Product
Opmerkingen: Overall I am very happy with ISN, I think it is a great system. However, I can also see ISN being left behind by it's competitors if certain things aren't done - reports don't really help on performance of a business, the ARM needs to be updated for marketing efforts, there HAS to be an email drip campaign. Take a look at he activity tracker that [sensitive content hidden] has on our monthly calls. The are real things that franchise owners bring to us - not one offs like from our big [sensitive content hidden]. If these guys and gals are asking for this stuff I can only imagine what the independents are needing.

Company has used this product for years. Great product and owners love it.
Minpunten:
No drip campaign, making an email seems like I stepped back in time to 2001 - just look at the user inteface. Also when I pick a container in the email template maker I can't see what it looks like. ARM seems like it was half way thought out and then forgotten about. Why in the world isn't the client and agents automatically set up to receive text messages. You have to select a text box. The reports aren't very useful. They don't get into the heart of business management.

The Good, The Bad, and The Frustrating
Opmerkingen: Very mixed. Do we use it every day and is it an essential tool? Yes. Do I think there can be huge improvements? Yes. Do I feel listened to as a customer? No
Pluspunten:
ISN is easy to use, staff can pick up on training quickly, and most of how ISN is used has a very intuitive interface. You can build out more complicated processes and streamline how you communicate with your clients relatively easily. The more you put into ISN the more automated your life can be. The automation and high level of tracking for individual orders and to the company as a whole have been the best features.
Minpunten:
Ever since Porch purchased ISN they have been on a steady decline in the product and customer service. They are definitely doing forced migrations to use tools that circle back to Porch and adding another layer of complication in our communication with our clients. Customer service has also been severely lacking, as a long-time user I often feel I know more about the interworking of ISN than the first level of tech support, and problems often are not resolved or take forever to resolve. The price increase was also pitched as a saving, but in actuality doubled our costs. They also have a habit of pushing out updates on MONDAY!!! where there is pure chaos as nothing works right and we are left to limp along until they put patches and fix bugs. It has even gotten so bad that it has impacted our ability to make money.

Residential/Commercial Inspections
Opmerkingen: My sole purpose for using ISN, is booking inspections. I like the notifications that are sent out.
Pluspunten:
Keeps a record of every inspection I’ve completed.
Minpunten:
I don’t like being charged an additional $20/month to have access to SMS messaging services. I feel what I pay/year should cover anything/everything that is required for scheduling inspections.

Outdated and Unnecessarily Complicated
Opmerkingen: Overall we decided to move on to a different product that can accomplish 99% of what ISN does with much more understandable user interfaces and far less redundancy.
Pluspunten:
The best thing this software has going for it is how long it's been around. This means a vast library of integrations with other products in the industry. This is very useful. There's also a large feature so that you can complete a task a variety of ways.
Minpunten:
The software is incredibly complicated and disorganized. Titles of many sections don't make sense for what is contained in that section. Deploying the software is cumbersome. At times their own customer support either doesn't know how it works or they are unable to explain a feature adequately enough that you can use it. This is not an indictment on the customer service, yet, more of a criticism of the software design itself. The software is plagued with redundancy and complexity that just seems unnecessary and cumbersome.

Pluspunten:
I began using this to automate sending and signing my pre-inspection agreement. It does that very well! I will probably hang around because I am able to automatically notify my 3rd parties (termite, septic, etc) just with the click of a button (once you've set it up correctly). This has been an excellent little time saver.
Minpunten:
For as long as they have been around, their app is pretty basic and a little slow. I don't want it to be complex, but I wish I had all the options for scheduling a job on the app as I do the desktop version.

Thorough System
Opmerkingen: The system is very complex which makes it very complicated to navigate but Tech support is always available and solves every problem that I encounter.
Pluspunten:
The report features are very thorough and Tech support is very responsive and knowledgeable and quickly resolves issues.
Minpunten:
Many of the features are impossible to figure out without contacting Tech support because they don't flow in a natural logical direction.

Have used ISN for at least 8 years
Opmerkingen: I used ISN before porch bought in. Prior to that, it was great and functioned great and smoothly. It has become increasingly more difficult to use with longer lag times, and days we just can't even log in. We are concerned about our client data and do not want it shared with anyone. In addition, we are not happy that because we don't use porch, we pay an exorbitant amount of money for a program that is not as good now as it was years ago. In addition, why are they doing updates during business hours when it adversely impacts everyone's scheduling. They have done updates on the busiest days of the week instead of at night or on the weekend. This needs to stop happening as it is not good for business.
Pluspunten:
I love the system itself. It is so easy and user friendly. The orders are easy to read and schedule and it is easy to train new people. I like being able to pull reports for inspectors to help with payroll. I like the automated email and text messages that I have set up.
Minpunten:
So, I would like to be able to pull more accurate reports that tell how many services are added with inspections to know how marketing is going. I do not like how slow it is now and how hard it is to even get it to open. Scheduling online has always been big for us and it has been hard for people to use because of the issues.

ISN is a reliable partner

Reliable and well supported, usually answer the phone and are prepared to solve my issue.

Product does need some upgrading to make it easier to use. Transfer of orders to others in my group and its functionality with apple products should be improved.

ISN Review
Opmerkingen: It's been very good. Response to any issues is very fast and taken care of. We really appreciate that especially when something happens in the middle of an inspection.
Pluspunten:
Honestly, It's the first and only one we've used. But we like the scheduling, automatic notices and reporting features the best. We have ours tailored to what we want and it's easy to make changes to the template.
Minpunten:
As long as we aren't tied to other 3rd party processes I don't have any issues with ISN. We did not like the HUGE price increase. I understand having to adjust prices...but small increments more often are preferred. If it happens again like that we will have to find something else. This time we're just eating the increase.

I could not live without ISN. To small to bring these functions inhouse.
Opmerkingen: All in all I am extremely thankful for the service. It has made doing things like follow up emails to clients, sending agreements and providing lots of brochures to clients I likely would not do otherwise.

Works seamlessly to stay in contact with clients, follow up email features are fantastic! Emails reports and agreements with no effort on my part.

It is a pretty complex system and has taken me quite sometime to become familiar enough that I can fix most issues myself.

ISN has helped my business stay on track

Intuitive to use, I like the mobile version

I would REALLY like to be able to change templates mid-stream. Every now and then I start an inspection and part way through realize I'm using the wrong template. The only solution is to open up the correct template and start all over again

Great Inspection network
Pluspunten:
Love the ease in communicating with our customers. Making it so easy to be able to keep in touch prior to, during and after home inspections. Keeping records completely straight is important and ISN does do that. We are very happy with ISN.

Stop shoving porch down our throat

Easy to navigate, I have worked with this software for years. Support is great!

Fairly easy to use once you know where everything is.
Minpunten:
That if I hover over unknown icons, a pop up of what the icon is doesn’t show. Duplicate client and agents can easily be made.
