Opmerkingen: My overall experience has been amazing I'm under the venture plan which is $17 a month and you can basically compare the venture plan to Shopify basic plan which is $29 a month.

Pluspunten:

What I like most about the software is it's very easy to use whether you're doing it based from your browser or from the app. Very simple and easy website design and setup.

Minpunten:

The thing that I like least about the software is that they actually don't have their own payment processor versus Shopify. But it gives you the option to use square, stripe,2checkout&More.

Minpunten:

We have had many issues with SEO and SEM and the support team is not clear on what needs to happen to fix it. It is also very difficult to get through to support. You are not able to call in - but have to chat in. This makes it difficult when there is an issue that needs immediately addressed. Additionally when you chat in they don’t always respond immediately. The site also does not change photos to WEBP when uploaded. I have to manually change them prior to publishing.

Poor functionality, terrible customer service

Opmerkingen: Because I had a very specific use (ticket purchases and donation function) I would not recommend. I ended up having myself and 2 other team members trying to figure out their system & get the results we needed, and it was impossible, limited, and poor customer support.

Pluspunten:

It came with the website builder we use, Snapps, and so had to try and initially the setup was easy, but it quickly went downhill the more we wanted to customize.

Minpunten:

Clunky interface, minimal customizing, and customer service had delayed replies, and when they did reply -no mater how explicit our questions—they never answered clearly, or, would punt us to their FAQ On their site, most of which are a few paragraphs and not even fully finished pages, so you are left still unsure about next steps or getting your problem solved.

Beginner based Platform to start Selling online effortlessly

Opmerkingen: Ecwid is the easiest way to start selling online at ease thanks to its built in features, affordable plans with almost no additional fees, transparent policies and more importantly, a rich dashboard to manage your store, from setting prices to product description, and from inventory management to SEO customerization. Ecwid should be the first platform to land on to explore how simple online selling is thanks to the variety of integrations and constant support.

Pluspunten:

Through on a free trail plan; Ecwid provides all that beginners need to sell online easily; it user-friendly dashboard that allows you use built-for-you templates to descibe products, set prices, shipping methods and even ways to market your products. Ecwid comes with affordable plans, less fees and mainly many gateways for payment processing. Even if you are still unsure of selling online, Ecwid thought of connections and integrations to many third party apps and platforms, which allow dropshipping, an opportunity to start the journey.

Minpunten:

Ecwid is not ideal for large businesses as it is less popular than many other platforms in this industry, namely Wix; it is less common if not inexistent in many countries, and of course, their currencies.

What you need to know about Ecwid!

Opmerkingen: It has saved me a lot of money because it would have had to pay someone to create a. Website for me . I also like the fact that I can access my business at any time and any where easily.

Pluspunten:

Exwid gas it's own app where I can mange every thing from adding or removing sold out stock and even make sales. It can also even make sales automatically for the premium site. I integrated it with Facebook and Instagram

Minpunten:

I just wish they can assist even more people with the app because it's not as straight forward as it seems.

Good for Beginners.

Opmerkingen: My overall experience has been good as a newer small handmade business but as soon as I'm able to find one that can beat ecwid in price & features that i can trust I plan to switch but only because i need certain features for my growth & variations etc that I am not willing to pay even more than I already pay them now when i think they could give a little more effort in some areas. However I still love ecwid & I do recommend to small or micro businesses just starting out or businesses with little product.

Pluspunten:

What I love most about Ecwid is the blog of resources & the apps you can integrate with. & if your plan is high enough the taxes are calculated for you & updated automatically. I also enjoy the product variations but let me note again this is also something that requires an upgrade. While I do like my website, I also have coding in it that I used to make it better than what it is. I think its great for a smaller business or a business with limited products.

Minpunten:

I do not like that variations is only available as an upgrade. I also am not a fan of some of the ways they just expect you to do your newsletter when they could of really made it much simpler. & my least all time favorite thing about them is the fact that I pay one of the highest plans & I can't even make a legit blog or forum technically on the same page which complicates a lot especially for beginners when they are just learning. trust me I was once there.

Its an excellent platform

Ecwid is a handy and very easy-to-manage software. It gives you the ability to switch easily from a CRM inventory to a more design-specific function. It's affordable and a must for most e-commerce stores.

What I didn't like about Ecwid is its exclusive Paying Card management by Stripe, which, by the way, is not available in most countries. That's need to be improved.

Opmerkingen: Very good and is my best choice for all e-commerce platforms

Pluspunten:

Ecwid is cheap, fluid and easy to use compared to shopify. The support team respond within a few minutes. The platform has good order tracking and inventory management system. It has a mobile version too but only for paying users. Management and overview are spectacular from the mobile version. You can also fulfill orders from the mobile version too. They also have a referral program that pays well. Over all 5 stars

Unlike Shopify that has a lot of developers on it thereby having more apps to integrate. Ecwid isn’t that filled with dev ops so certain add ons needed will need you to make a formal request from the support team which also incurs a feee but you can always use youtube if your coding skills are okay

Simple, useful and powerful, the best for E-commerce.

Opmerkingen: One of the things that constantly worried us was the integration with our header site, with Ecwid we have successfully and in record time, integrate without difficulty or additional payments what our store needed. Besides, we get a complete platform to enhance our products to other business niches, participating in social networks with the full support they put at their disposal. Another solution, is that similar platforms like Shopify, offer you a service but you make constant payments of everything you use, if something comes out you should also pay for it, it's one of the things that makes us bet on Ecwid, because it does not have small letters, It is direct to what you need without tricks or additional payments outside the agreed upon. Thus, we have saved money that we end up investing in other needs of the company, or for the purchase of other exclusive products.

One of the things that I like most, is the simplicity that they offer to all their clients, it is one of those platforms that allow you to venture into e-commerce, without the worry of going through long training processes, it is as simple as register and start uploading all the products you have available to the platform. It is a platform that does not abandon you in the sales process, on the contrary, it puts at your disposal all the available channels so you can increase your sales. Another thing that I like, is to be able to reach new niche markets with integrated tools, you can create stores on Facebook and Instagram without difficulty, always with the Ecwid platform. Also, I liked how easy it is to integrate with WordPress, just install a plugin within the panel and voila, you can immediately publish your products.

I have been using Shopify for years, and I can say with responsibility, that Ecwid is the rival that in a short time will give a surprise to the world of E-commerce, I have no negative aspects to identify so far, on the contrary, it is simpler and more intuitive than its Shopify, a platform that causes a lot of headaches for many reasons.

Best Online Shopping Cart System

Opmerkingen: I've been with ecwid for years. It has been a great experience and easy to use. I started with the free version and as my business continues to grow I've upgraded my account twice to have access to features that grown my business even more.

Pluspunten:

I love the ease of tracking orders on my phone. I love that I can edit items on my phone and they will automatically be updated on my website. I love that the shopping cart system is easy to use for customers and if they abandon a cart they receive email reminders and sometimes coupon incentives to check out.

Minpunten:

I do not love the lack of integration with my payanywhere payment system. so i have to do 2 separate accounting. . . but they do intergrate with clover which i no longer have.

Very nice online store but there is room for improvement.

Opmerkingen: Overall, Ecwid is a very nice store that allows a lot of customization. For some of the changes, I needed to contact support and change some CSS code to make it work but in the end, it is a very nice store. I looked into and tried Shopify in the past but very quickly realized this was not as easy as Ecwid for me.

Pluspunten:

I really enjoy the user experience as a whole. It is very simple to understand and get a store up and running. I use a built-in Ecwid plugin for a Duda website-building platform. So, it is like a 3rd party Ecwid store. Because of this, there are a few features that are missing but overall, you can still build a very nice online store. The framework and layouts are very easy to understand and use as well as you are able to customize many things on each page. The catalog page, single item page, checkout, and more.

Minpunten:

One of my clients is a greenhouse and they have around 2,000 products. Until recently, there was no way to bulk change pricing or other features for select products which was a pain to have to change every product individually. Ecwid has made an update so this is possible which has saved about an hour of clicking and pasting which is awesome. However, there is still room for improvement. For example, there are additional buying options for some products, such as different sizes however, if you increase the price for the product but the large size/other buying options need to increase by a different size, that still has to be completed manually by changing each product itself which is very time-consuming. I contact support and they informed me that this could be done but I had to contact the developer and then purchase an app and pay for it monthly in order to complete this. I just needed to make this change once, so I don't want to pay monthly for something I need a couple times a year.

A great, low-cost, feature rich option to sell your products

Opmerkingen: This gave us the option to sell our products online and in person while keeping track of inventory and putting on a great looking design and appearance.

Pluspunten:

We used Ecwid as a plug in to our website to sell our handmade board games. It was easy to set up through the app store on wix and integrated directly into our website. It also worked directly with our phone and square hardware to be able to create a POS system when we when to trade shows to be able to accept peoples credit cards quickly while emailing them a receipt. The online store had many design and display options, the ability to put certain things on sale, the highlight items you want to move, and to separating things into different categories. It also keeps great track of your inventory. It really was a one stop solution to selling our product online.

Minpunten:

There was a slight issue when we first started using it for an in person Point of sales system with Square as it would either record our purchases twice with no great way to correct that or it would only show the sale on the square app and not Ecwid so it wouldn't remove the item from our inventory. We eventually got it worked out though through their customer care and all was good.

Opmerkingen: Overally, positive. I managed to set it up easily on my website and do a test purchase within an hour. Ecwid is a breeze and I wonder why it isn't more popular, especially among non-technical users.

It has a free tier so you can get started without any additional expenses for up-to 10 products. Well documented developer resources for custom integrations. It uses a fixed monthly subscription and there are no transaction fees, so the more you sell the higher your profits. No coding skills needed to set up and no need for entering API keys or unique pins or any of that. Ecwid automatically connects the store using your email address.

Minpunten:

The free tier has very limited features. You can only connect an online store and no other platforms. If you decide to discontinue using Ecwid, it may be challenging to find an alternative as there are few other platforms that provide a similar service for synchronizing inventory across platforms. Depending on your country you may need to build a custom payment gateway integration to accept local payments. For the free version, styling is not flexible. However you can manually style your website store with som custom CSS. It added a store link to the navigation menu of my website without asking, and then when I deactivated the plugin, the (broken) store link remained behind.

Great shopping cart for multiple items to sell

Opmerkingen: My bakery sells multiple versions of the same cookies and bars. This cart allows us to make all the choices clear to our clients, price them accordingly, add shipping choices, add comments, pics and other great behind the scenes parts that make our store amazing to the outside and easy for us to manage on the kitchen side. Highly recommend it!

Searching for items on the back end means I have to be very specific with my word choices. And if someone doesn't follow the pattern set for how to categorize the items for sale, finding them to enable or disable can become a chore and/or mean a lot of unnecessary files/items on the site that should be eliminated.

Easy e-commerce for your start-up business

Opmerkingen: Using Ecwid for our business has been a big help. Although we're a small company, we we're able to Ecwid to quickly bring our products online without much fuss. We also transitioned to a paid version to get more out of the service, and so far so good.

Pluspunten:

Ecwid gives you everything you need to start selling your items online. I like that they give you an option to put up an actual website if you don't have any presence yet. Facebook integration is very welcome as well in this day and age.

Minpunten:

Once you get the hang of the starter features, it would really do you good to upgrade to a paid plan. It would give you a lot more features to use for your e-commerce website. I wish they'd give you a trial period for the full suite of features.
