The best thing about MSP360 Managed Backup, for me, was how user-friendly it was. I loved that I could easily set it up with different cloud storage services without any fuss. Minpunten:

The main drawback I found was that restorations could sometimes be sluggish, particularly when dealing with large amounts of data. It's worth noting that this isn't entirely MSP360's fault, since they don't actually store the data themselves - that's handled by whatever cloud storage provider you're using. Still, it'd be great if they could find a way to optimize the recovery process on their end. Maybe they could streamline how they interface with different cloud services or something. It's not a deal-breaker by any means, but faster restore times would definitely be a welcome improvement.

Opmerkingen: I've been with MSP360 for over 10 years. Our backup as a service offering wouldn't be possible without MSP360. The margins in this industry are razor thin and the competition is fierce. You need them on your team.

Pluspunten:

Their platform is rock solid. So many new features, always new being added and their support is amazing.

Minpunten:

You do need to have some experience with cloud backup services and understanding of different OS platforms to maneuver the setup. Overall, once you get the hang of where everything is, it gets easier.

Unreliable. I had it for a year and only got 5 successful restore. I had issue with the service ever other week. I reach out to management and vendor support number of time but nothing change.

Opmerkingen: Over the past 15 years I've used many backup products and have seen many come and go from the likes of BackupExec, Acronis, and Veeam just to name a few. None are as affordable and simple to use as MSP360 Managed Backup. Most importantly MSP360 Managed Backup gives us a dashboard to view all out customers backup jobs and status instead of having to log into each backup system individually or rely on the very unreliable email alert. We love MSP360 and they have become our go-to partner for our clients' backups.

Pluspunten:

Very simple to setup, constantly adding new & valuable features, nice dashboard to show all backup clients with their status, and I get to choose the storage provider all at a very affordable price.

Minpunten:

not really a con but would like better documented management APIs so that I can add new backup clients programmatically instead of using the web management.

It is almost too eays so not really a con!

MSP360 5 Stars

Opmerkingen: Overall has been huge success to our business. Has made our lives easier and ability to control backups from afar is great. Lots of room to adjust settings and adjust to what we need.

Pluspunten:

Ease of use and overall working. If something isn't working, their support is very respnosive and quick.

Minpunten:

We've gone through some bugs on the Mac side but those are resolved after an update or so. Annoyances but something that may be expected.

Pluspunten:

The price point was great. Although setting up the backups was a bit clunky, the user interface has improved.

Minpunten:

I wish there was a way to better sync with my PSA for ease of billng.

Extremely customisable and reliable

Opmerkingen: We have been using it for 5+ years and would have stayed if it wasn't good enough for our clients. It's also great to be able to brand the installation client for a professional look.

Pluspunten:

It is very easy to use and offers a wide range of configuration options. Initial setup is quick and the costs are reasonable. It's also especially good to be able to pick multiple Cloud storage providers as well as having a local backup to NAS as an option.

Minpunten:

Some of the monitoring reports could be expanded upon, and also some of the Restore filters to enable to browse/search certain archived files could be improved.

Hands down the best backup software for the value and features offered.

Minpunten:

Some features are only available if you choose certain S3 providers. Like the immutable write features for example. It isn't really a problem if you know ahead of time.

Redenen om voor MSP360 Managed Backup te kiezen: Price and features. N-Able started to get expensive really fast and wasn't working very well with my pricing model to the customer. MSP360 allows me to create a pricing model I can easily predict and leave plenty of room for a nice profit.

Easy to use backup software. YOu can do cloud only, local only or both which is the best option. You can pick your cloud backup service like Wasabi.

Minpunten:

I know it's a security thing but if you lose your encryption password your backups are gone. Keep those safe!

All the offered features like backup, schedule, manageability, encryption, data restoration etc.

Minpunten:

when in need of for the support there are too many KBs shared through email to go through and perform the investigation by our own. That leads to maximum investment of time. In please of that I would suggest MSP 360 to give a call back as soon as possible to the customer to provide the appropriate solution.

MSP360 - A Great Backup Option

Opmerkingen: Using MSP360 has been a very good experience overall. They provide regular updates to clients that push out and update themselves when I tell them to. The backups have a lot of flexibility in scheduling and recovery options. Once an agent is installed, I can manage every aspect with the web interface, which is very convenient.

Pluspunten:

When I was looking for software to back up customers' computers I needed it to meet certain criteria. Remotely managed (Cloud-based), onsite and cloud for storage, and encrypted. MSP360 hit all those points for me and did it really well.

Minpunten:

The scheduling backups were more problematic for me in the beginning when I used the software, but it has improved over the years.

MSP360 the easiest and safest way to make computer backups

Opmerkingen: We needed to back up all the computers in the office, without the need to hire outside help, so we purchased this software which turned out to be very good, easy to use and extremely secure with all the backups it backs up. A very efficient software to keep your files backup safe. It is also very easy to use without the need to hire external companies to do the job. The best of all is that if there is any doubt or inconvenience, the technical service will always be ready to solve it.

Pluspunten:

It has a great backup capacity, since we were able to make backup copies of each computer in the company and although it took a long time to do it, due to the amount of information, it did not present any kind of inconvenience. The email alerts are very efficient, because they warn us if there is any problem in any of the machines. The technical support provided good support in the steps where we did not know how to perform any action when running the software.

Minpunten:

I had some errors when installing the software and some backups, but the technical support was very efficient in helping us with that. The prices are cheap if you look month to month, but you have to pay a whole year in advance, which is a considerable expense for some companies, especially start-ups.

Ongoing small issues which don't seem to get resolved. e.g. date issue with email notifications, where backup date switches between US and EU format making it confusing for customers.
