Buffer: Social Distance Smartly
Simple and Effective for Social Media Management
Buffer is very simple to use—that's a win since it's being used for social media management. You want to get in and get out quickly. The fact that you can schedule and automate publishing is the true win here.
The tool is not as robust as something like Tweetdeck, which allows you to also view your social media feeds, mentions, and more.
It's Really Expensive For What it Does
Opmerkingen: Buffer is great if you're just looking to toss out some content that isn't advanced. Text posts, simple images, reposts of content and so forth, you'll have no problem. If you're looking to post some more advanced content like reels and whatnot, this is not your software. That said, it's fantastic at what it does and it's super simple to use. Tech support is always pretty helpful and they offer a lot of free tips to your email about how to use the software (and social media). Fun extra is you can even post to shopify through it. As I mentioned in the cons section - the price point is high for what it does, but if that's all you need then it might not be a bad fit for you.Our overall experience with buffer was positive, it just wasn't as feature rich as we needed.
Straightforward posting, clean interface, straightforward to use. Good integration abilities (can be used with canva zapier, wordpress, and a ton of content sources). It also offers easy to access gifs and emojis for your posts and has a pretty decent free plan if you're just looking to do some basic posting.
It's pretty expensive for the features (or lack of features) that it offers. At $5-$10/channel/month, it's a lot more pricey than some of it's competitors. It also lacks features. There are no advanced post types, no bells or whistles (like best posting time or hashtag research). It also is a bit temperamental about the browser that you're using (which shouldn't really happen since it's been around for so long).
Works very well...in theory.
Love the idea of being able to schedule postings to go out onto multiple platforms. There is a nice preview section to help make sure that everything is set up correctly as well.
Switching between Facebook and Twitter was far more confusing then it should have been. There are a somewhat limited number of social media networks available. Many times, posts would fails to be posted, requiring me to go back and manually post. Aside from defeating the the point of using the software, it also requires keeping a very close on on scheduled posts and checking that they actually went out and were successfully posted.
Affordable and Well-integrated Post Scheduling Tool
I primarily use Buffer as a social media post scheduler. It has the features I require (broad social media integration, post-scheduling, campaign management) in an easy to use package. My small publishing business has three separate social media channels (on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). Without an all-in-one solution like Buffer, I wouldn't be able to maintain engagement with followers to the degree I am. Thanks to post scheduling, I can queue up a number of posts (and customize days, times, etc. when they will appear on each platform) and then focus on engaging with commentors rather than simply drafting posts. What's more, Buffer offers a generous free plan that allows users to manage a limited number of posts on up to three channels. Given the volume of my social media output, this is perfectly tailored to my need. If I would ever need to increase the amount or pace of my posts, given the scheduling and campaign-management features Buffer has demonstrated, I would be happy to pay the subscription fee.
Given the low cost option (i.e. free) and the functionality I receive with post-scheduling, there is little to complain about with Buffer. I had previously used a different post-scheduler that dropped all support for free plans. While I understand the business demands that drive such decisions, I appreciate the fact that Buffer has maintained this as an option. As a result, I make six posts across three channels every week and have consistently grown my followers (and thus enhanced my reach).
Social media management platform
Opmerkingen: it does the job but to make evolve in the future
Buffer is a good social media management tool for good communication. the price is affordable
the interface is not centered for the user's comfort
