Excellent for the price

Opmerkingen: I was able to take my web project from idea to publication in just a few days thanks to the powerful tools included in the free plan. I was then able to easily scale by upgrading my site with more pages, advanced eCommerce features, and a custom domain by upgrading to a paid plan. The support and documentation were also excellent in resolving any issues or concerns. I would definitely recommend Weebly to any person or organization looking for a low-cost and efficient website building solution

Pluspunten:

What I liked most about Weebly was its powerful drag-and-drop visual builder. It allowed me to easily create a complex site structure with multiple pages and sections using just my mouse. Its clean and well-organized interface made the design process highly intuitive. Additionally, the numerous Responsive themes and templates helped me quickly bring my ideas to life and ensure my site looks and works well from any device

Minpunten:

What I liked least was the limited code customization. Although the visual editor covers most needs, experienced web developers miss the ability to inject custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code to create completely unique designs. However, I understand that this goes against Weebly's no-code approach to allowing anyone to create a professional website

Weebly - mostly ups, relatively few downs.

Opmerkingen: Positive overall, from the perspective of a relatively confident graphic designer able to create and manipulate graphics to add hero images / vectors to pages. Without a really good licensed image library, you might find it a struggle to create a unique and attractive website, but that's part of the challenge and where the satisfaction comes from; creating a beautiful website shouldn't be a piece of cake - you should expect to have to work (a little) at it!

Pluspunten:

Very intuitive and simple to achieve a reasonable level of professionalism with limited graphic design skill. Handy features for e-commerce, shipping settings allow tax and weight customisation based on territory. For simple content-based website, pretty quick and satisfying to use.

Minpunten:

For more detailed product / brand shops, can be a little clunky to upload and customise new products, and has limited functionality in terms of sub-menus for product categories, with some layouts being very limited without being able to create custom code. Shipping costs can be confused, with items inheriting the wrong cost leading to an expensive overseas order (*this happened once).

Opmerkingen: Love it. I am so happy that they have an app that I was able to install from the Apple Store.

Being able to run my website from my iPad is HUGE! Such an easy program to use with Square. They knocked this out of the park.

Minpunten:

I have not ran into anything that I do not like yet. I have been using the app for about a month at the time of this review.

There are no real advantages to using Weebly

Opmerkingen: Overall Weebly was a good introduction to web design but I wouldn't recommend anyone using it long term. Play around with it if you must. But there are so many better alternatives - your time would be better spent learning to build on WP.

Pluspunten:

It's relatively easy to use for someone who's never built a website before. Also, the pricing is budget-friendly.

Minpunten:

It feels really clunky and old fashioned.. it's so glitchy. Often doing something simple like adding a header takes 1-2 minutes. It's just not worth the hassle compared to other web builders. Also the ability to customize the designs is really limited and the support is total rubbish, don't even bother trying to contact them.

Weebly is a good starter website builder

Opmerkingen: Overall weebly is a good option to start a website. However, it will cost more to add features I feel should be included in the cost.

Pluspunten:

Weebly is easy to use if you have no experience creating a website. They have several pre-made templates you can customize for your industry. The price is very reasonable as well.

Minpunten:

Features that were once free, now cost more. The mobile version is not very user friendly.

Square bought them and has really made it much harder to access my sites. Square needs to understand they process payments. Weebly creates websites. The only time they need each other is if there are products to sell or donations to collect Dear Squsre. Leave Weebly alone please

Great Choice for E-Commerce Businesses

Opmerkingen: I've ran my website through Weebly for about four years, and overall I've been very happy with its features. I've had a few hiccups along the way with the platform, but I am still very satisfied and intend to stick with them.

Pluspunten:

Weebly is easy to use and customize, so I was able to create an excellent website with little past experience. Also, adding new products is super fast and simple, which is crucial for my jewelry business.

Minpunten:

The platform is quite glitchy, crashing out on mobile regularly. It is also quite expensive. The only premium feature I needed was the custom domain, yet I still had to pay $30.00 a month extra.

Weebly is free and easy to use. There is the option to pay to customise your own domain if you do not wish to have the weebly name in the domain, however the free version of the software doesn't excessively limit users. Themes are so customisable and pretty. 24/7 customer support.

Minpunten:

I wish the website could be slightly more reliable, status can be down a lot. Sometimes the website can be incompatible with certain browsers.

Weebly is Great Setting Up Your Own Professional Looking Website

Opmerkingen: I used Weebly to set up a small business website as an alternative/ supplement to my online handmade shop using another popular platform which had a lot of fees associated with it.

Pluspunten:

I like that Weebly is a step by step process that is easy to use and understand to set up my small business website. There are many themes to choose from.

Minpunten:

There is a little difficulty switching back and forth to the mobile application.

Definitely for Non-Coders

Opmerkingen: Helped a client set up a webstore by creating several pages and adding custom styling to them. Was pretty easy to learn (this was my first try at using the site editor). The preview mode is quirky (using an iframe) and the site editor's navigation is a little hard to understand at first.

Pluspunten:

Layout sections are easy to set up and adapt well with content. Seems to be very responsive out of the gate.

Minpunten:

No place for custom CSS. No versioning of changes. One really annoying thing: if you get logged out while in the Weebly site editor (logged in as a Square user), it doesn't direct you back to Square's login. Not sure why it asks you to sign into weebly. This confused the hell out of me several times since I don't have a Weebly account and had to backtrack to find the Square login.

Good, basic, and inexpensive content management system.

Opmerkingen: We used it for years, mainly due to the time cost of switching, but found other platforms we used more smooth, elegant, and better looking design.

When I first started using Weebly, it was acquired by Square. It synced products, worked well with Facebook and Instagram and was super easy to use.

Minpunten:

Over time, features changed, integration lacked and syncing went away without notice.

Safe and secure platform with free SSL certificate, as for the ecommerce website payment method is very easy because of integration with Square Online. Even, have e-commerce themes that are already optimized for SEO and all marketing needs including shopping cart, item options, inventory management, in-store pickup, coupons, Square gift cards and much more.

Minpunten:

Unable to install any software, more design options can added moreover there is poor optimization for mobile user.
