Compared to our look the former VDR it's very user friendly, easy to set up and has all the features needed.

Minpunten:

For our needs I miss nothing. Maybe the automated index could be improved.

Not so "Ideal"s

Opmerkingen: Data room seems good once you're in. But if you actually want users to be able to get in easily, you'd be best looking elsewhere. Spam blocking has made this almost impossible for users to receive invitations. Then they are instructed to "and @ideals and Ip address" to whitelist ... so then you need to get your corporate IT department involved and ask everyone you invite to do the same; so in this case, not really "ideal"s.

can't get users into the room easily. 100% of the users I've invited have spent lots of time trying to figure out how to get in, even AFTER searching spam to find the link.

Opmerkingen: These last years it has always been smooth and easy, and support is attentive when needed and proactive for ongoing follow-up. I note the recent makeover and look to the platform didn't take long to adust to, and thought it was well planned and laid out,

Pluspunten:

Intuitive and easy to use, and it is very flexible in terms of sharing information with different groups of people looking at, sometimes, different sections / subsections of the same project(s).

Minpunten:

Would always like to see more data limit capacity at better pricing as storage costs continue to fall. In our world of large size images and vides, and other high resolution files, larger files can quickly chew up space inside a data room, depending on one's industry.

It's a great product for data security

Opmerkingen: We really enjoy using iDeals. They are always improving their product according to what their users really want.

Pluspunten:

iDeals is very secure and allows us to manage users and specialize each data room well. They've added a dash board that helps us view the status of the data room very quickly, which is important for what we do since we host a large volume of data rooms at once.

Minpunten:

I would like a template folder structure to be a bit more easy to upload. I also would like iDeals to save my users emails so that I don't have to copy paste emails every time I use it. I also would love some sort of status capability. If I am the admin and I tell iDeals what documents I want uploaded in a particular structure, I want it to tell me % completion or what is still needed.

By far the superior data room for usability and function

Opmerkingen: I have done a lot of research and used a lot of different data rooms and iDeals is by far the most user-friendly and customizable data room. The customer service has always been helpful with questions and also data import.

Pluspunten:

The user-friendly features and the easy navigation of the data rooms are what I like best about iDeals. I love how customizable the permissions are and how the rooms are organized. This has made our transactions run a lot smoother.

Minpunten:

There isn't a lot that I don't like about iDeals! I haven't run into any major issues and I think the pricing is fair for the great quality you receive.

The VDR was fairly easy to use with useful functions. The support team is very responsive and supportive.

Minpunten:

There was an issue with data storage for my project that caused iDeals to bill us more than costs incurred. It took quite some time to resolve.

Opmerkingen: My overall experience is very positive as the platform continues to grow and add features and their support and CSM teams are always available and helpful.

The ease of use, the various options of file and folder limitations, security manners.

Minpunten:

I was missing an option I know exists in competing products of password protect a downloaded document.

User friendly and Ease of Use

Opmerkingen: Just superb. We have closed M&A deals with help of this. Even we are keeping it to manage office data.

Pluspunten:

All the files are uploaded and can be used by the useres very easiliy. It is easy for the user to understand the interface and functions of the date room. We have got very good feedback from the the users - they just used to reguster and start viewing and using the files instantly. Administrators can control the way files can be viewed or downloaded by the users. We can Just drop the files and Indexing will be done in seconds. I cannot summarise the functions in words here - just start using it and will get to know the importance of the data room in manageing the data in all aspects of business.

Minpunten:

Long name files could not be uploaded - it did not even gave warnings or any pop up. It was quite difficult to undrstand the issue but now well versed with it.

Great product with great features!

Pluspunten:

Special features of iDeals data room which are not available in other data rooms as per our previous experience. The best feature in the iDeals data room is sharing the confidential documents with the external parties in a way that they cannot download/print the documents. Also the watermark in background will be generated automatically. Multiple admins can manage the data room, also the log can be monitored (i.e. timestamp of activity, who spent how much time on which document, etc.) Admin can limit the data room use in advance by setting up the end date and make it unable for external users. This helps to complete the review in timely manner.

Minpunten:

I could not find any cons for this product.

Simply the best!

Opmerkingen: I can only repeat myself when I say that it is the simplest and most self-explanatory translator with all the functions you could wish for.
And if you do have a question, there are super nice and incredibly helpful people who will help you in no time at all. Many thanks to all of them!

Apart from the fact that deepl is easy and super convenient to use, the staff are always extremely helpful and friendly!

The Excel viewer is a little bit poor and the Q&A module should be improved for the answering team (bulk management of questions, questions closed, rejected etc...)

In Q&A, it is not very convenient that for collaborating groups to be able to see each other's questions, one should add the other on cc'. While having many people on both groups, it's nearly impossible to explain and remind all of them to do that

Best bang for the buck VDR!

Opmerkingen: iDeals is definitely one of my go-to products now! Great overall product, very intuitive and unbeatable pricing!

Pluspunten:

Having used 10+ other VDR providers, I can say iDeals has my favorite UI / UX and ease of use. The price point is unbeatable by a mile so for budget conscious clients. For a typical middle market / lower-middle market M&A deal, the feature sets are more than adequate. I like the easy drag and drop functionality and I must say iDeals is the only vendor who allows drag and drop from email client function. Easy permissioning and user invites.

Minpunten:

I have not faced this issue myself but I am told by other colleagues they have had some security concerns about the platform. The customer support is also not as robust but frankly I did not need to use them as the product is very intuitive!
