MyRec has been a wonderful program for our department!
Opmerkingen: Ease of use for myself and the public, lots of customization options, digital sign in and sign out creates a permanant record that can be accessed by all my instructors.
Pluspunten:
The software allows for quick and easy creation of simple activities, while still allowing you to really customize activities when it is required. Our old software got so many complaints from our users. With MyRec, the most common thing that I get is that someone forgot a password. We surveyed our customers from our summer program, and on a scale of 1-5 (with 1 being the worst) MyRec got all 3-5 and not a single 1 or 2. I highly recommend the software to other departments. Customer service is top notch and has been able to answer all my questions, even if they are complicated and abstract.
Minpunten:
While there are a lot of options to apply discounts to programs or people, there have been a few times where they way I wanted to apply a discount didn't work (ie, a discount for signing up for multiple days of a program). There have been work arounds and customer service has always been great with helping me.

We love MyRec
Opmerkingen: The customer service is exceptional. Any time I call, the staff are polite, patient and kind. I came from another town where they had already been using MyRec and when I started last year in Brookfield, we switched to MyRec from another platform and our department is so happy with all of the options MyRec provides. It makes our lives easier!
Pluspunten:
I love how easy it is to monitor program registrations.
Minpunten:
Users always have trouble recovering their password. We get complaints that the website is "too confusing" and not user friendly.

Better presentation of Days of the week and improved mobile expierence
Opmerkingen: It helps us translate our marketing matierals into sales via QR codes, but we would like to see the mobile cell version be easier for people to create an account. Developing a mobile app would also be a great solution to this issue. We have received a lot of feedback about the mobile version being difficult to use for creating an account and making payments so we normally encourage people to use the mobile version as a way to view programs and that they create their account and sign up for activities using a laptop or computer. Although I like the general structure of the web pages and appreciate that other nearby recreation departments use this software—which helps with user familiarity—we would prefer a design that offers more editing flexibility, similar to a GoDaddy website.

Easy to create and update program descriptions.
Minpunten:
The way the days are shown in the activity column. Ex) MTuWThuF We think it would be a lot better if you stacked them vertically like below or Mon, Tues, Wed and then if it was 5-7 days a week just Mon-Fri or Tues-Sat Mon Tues Wed Thurs Fri

I like how I can learn to use different features easily. The help page is great! I have printed off a few things I wasn't sure how to set up.
Minpunten:
So far just one thing, I can't figure out how to reduce the size of our logo on our pages and receipts. I wish we could use the MyRec.com Point of Sale on our iPad.

Good company with solid customer service
Opmerkingen: Good. Not perfect for a non-traditional entity like us. MyRec is open to suggestions for improvement, which is great. And we are generally able to work around things if they can't grant our requests for edits, etc. Cost is quite affordable. *One of the questions on this survey asks for what purpose we use the site. I chose "registration" but it's really more like "other". We use MyRec for products and events.
Pluspunten:
Support is easily available. Everyone we've delt with is friendly and helpful.
Minpunten:
1) MyRec is designed for Park And Rec depts., which is fine, but it would be great if it was more user friendly for non-traditional clients like us. 2) MyRec can be a little clunky. This includes the language that they use. For example, when referring to a product, “pick-up instructions” would be a much better term than “acquisition instructions”.

Thanks for taking the time to provide a review. MyRec.com is a Parks and Recreation software, but many features are flexible to accommodate other organizations. Please call into client services if other items need to be adjusted for you, as in the products page text. This is one of the many areas that is flexible.
