Royal history review of ClassDojo

Pluspunten:

Classdojo is easy to use and connect to students. I found dojo to be easy to host my classes and assign/check homework

Minpunten:

As I am a teacher for many years I did find this app confusing to start with by soon got use to it. I took some classes online and used it most days so I quickly got use to it. I found also found the parents at the beginning also were confused but they to ogot use to it.

For the classroom

Opmerkingen: the kids in class love it along with the parents, the kids love getting points to use for the games.

Pluspunten:

It creates a great way to keep in touch with parents.

Minpunten:

the cost for premium turns off alot of the parents

A must have for all classroom teacher!

Opmerkingen: My students were so invested in our class account and l loved all the features available for at home use.

Pluspunten:

I love that parents can be notified of activities in the classroom and how the student's feel a sense of autonomy of points.

Minpunten:

As I haven't used this platform since I was a teacher a few years ago, I can't say much on the cons. I loved using this as a classroom teacher!

Opmerkingen: Handles multi children under one parental account. Easy to toggle to different students/teachers. Private message options.

Pluspunten:

Quick access to my childs teachers and notifications from the school.

Minpunten:

Not many teachers keep class dojo updates. It can take a long time to get a response.

Opmerkingen: It does what it's supposed to do and it's convenient

Pluspunten:

It was easy to use and made it convenient to talk to students teachers

Messages didn't come through right away and crashes sometimes

Amazing Software for Educators.

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with ClassDojo is positive. It's one of the best programs that I have ever used as a teacher. It helps parents and teachers to stay in contact throughout the day. It helps motivate students to work to their full potential.

Pluspunten:

ClassDojo is one of the best software teachers have available for their classrooms. Every school district should have this integrated. I like most that I can keep parents informed about their students throughout the day. I love that I can upload pictures of the students working on assignments. I have noticed that parents love being able to see what we are doing for the day. I also like that parents can participate by giving their children points for doing activities around the house. It does not have to be things for school but things like going to bed, cleaning up toys, or eating dinner.

Minpunten:

Absolutely nothing. I can not think of one negative thing to say about ClassDojo.

Great for Parents!

Pluspunten:

ClassDojo is the perfect application for parents and teachers to interact. Teachers can easily give parents updates on how their child is progressing in class. Teachers can upload pictures of the students, they can keep track of assignments, and they can give students points for doing activities around the classroom and at home. My child is in elementary school and her teacher has ClassDojo. Every day my daughter wants me to check how many points she received each day. It feels like a game for them. I like that, as a parent, I can give her points for brushing her teeth, eating all her food, and going to bed each night. ClassDojo helps motivate my daughter to do well in everything she does.

Minpunten:

The only con would be you need to pay for a subscription to get all of the bells and whistles.

The Best System.

Opmerkingen: My overall experience is great it was an app that i never knew i needed until i gave it chance and i like it. I love seeing the praises and the goof notes that my child is having.

Pluspunten:

What I most like about Class Dojo is that I can see everything and I can get daily updates about what is going on. I love that and I can realt time conversation or jsut a littel quick reach out if that what is what i need at the moment.

Minpunten:

There is never a dull moment I never have to complain or worry about anyrthing going wrong.

Great tool for teachers

Opmerkingen: Class dojo is a great tool for communication between schools and families. It can be broad to include the entire school in a message or narrowed down to specific classrooms or even individual families/students. You can include graphics and pictures with messages as well. Works well for my school.

Pluspunten:

It's an effective means of communication between schools and families

Minpunten:

Getting families set up and going it's probably the hardest part about using it. Especially families that are resistant to using it

The more practical way of keep on track with the school life

Opmerkingen: I’ve being using Classdojo for about 7 years since and I don’t know how people could do it before this app! It’s a lot of help for parents like me , who usually have a lot on their plate, making it easy to keep track

What I like most about classdojo is the feeling of not missing out anything important happening at school simply because all the dates, information and necessary communications with the school are on this same platform

My Childrens School Experience at my fingertips

Opmerkingen: Overall ClassDojo is the best teacher messaging app available, as I've said we've used 2 other apps and they were clunky and not as user-friendly as ClassDojo.

Pluspunten:

I like that in ClassDojo my sons teacher has the ability to message myself and their mother at that same time and we can have a group chat. We get information about homework, classwork, and any issues that are arising at school. We get messages from the principal and support staff too about school events and the level of communication is unmatched. We were using a couple of other apps previously and they don't compare with the ease of use of ClassDojo. The kids even get their own user interface and experience. My children are too young for this feature but not for long.

Minpunten:

There is a free version, which we use currently but getting setup can be challenging especially when the teacher doesn't share the correct codes.. You can't just type the teachers name to get added you have to have their invite code. It's good for security but somewhat inconvenient.

Class Dojo - when my kids were in school

Opmerkingen: Class Dojo helped me stay in touch with what my child was doing. I was able to locate what assignments were missing and what my child might have not turned in and then I could directly communicate with my child about the missing subject without really having to bother the teacher throughout the day.

Pluspunten:

Class Dojo allowed me to know in a snapshot of where my child was in their learning. I was able to locate what studies they were doing and if he or she was missing an assignment and it helped keep the communication open between me, the parent, and the teacher.

Minpunten:

Sometimes, I had a hard time logging in, but that might have just me and my age of using electronics. Once, I was signed it, it was easy to use.

Opmerkingen: good- RAther than using emails etc it is user friendly and chilren can also use.

Pluspunten:

Notifications can be sent live to phones and tablets. Teachers can messege with updates about clubs and term times etc

Minpunten:

Alot of information can be generic and not apply to our child

Opmerkingen: It is a great tool for parent teacher communication and staying up to date on your child's schooling.

Pluspunten:

I like the photos and videos that get posted of my child and the chat feature and important updates about my child that I receive.

Minpunten:

Sometimes the push notifications don't come through and i might get information later than I would have liked.

I have had three children, most teachers in elementary school use class dojo, I enjoy this app as it lets me keep up with everything that the student does in class

The ability to be able to communicate with the teachers as needed. The ability to speak with teachers and not have to wait for an email.

I do not have anything bad to say about Class Jojo. I really like everything about it and how easy it is to use.

The kids LOVE being able to see their points they earn each day. I love the messaging features.

Parents often turn off the notifications so it only helps with those that want to participate.

Sometimes the app acts up, it can lag or freeze. I also I don't like that it always wants you to purchase something.

Opmerkingen: Very happy with this program. I am able to stay informed of school activities as well as chil’ren progress or needs.

Pluspunten:

Class Dojo allows me to stay up to date on school activities, assignments but most of all allows me to message my child’s teacher which is much faster than leaving a voicemail.

Minpunten:

For whatever reason, I’m not alerted when I have a message from the teacher and will miss it unless I just happen to check it.

One of the best integrated learning tool

Pluspunten:

It's ability to build an amazing classroom feeling while accessing it on-line for students, teachers and families. The positive reinforcements it has encourages learners to strive more and continue to work hard while enjoying their tasks.

Minpunten:

Found that it caused a bit of competition and tension amongst the kids ,which results in kids focusing more on the competition side rather than the learning part .

A Helpfull app

Pluspunten:

What I like about this site is that it is easy to use and can also be dealt with by teachers and parents .

Minpunten:

I will say I love this site. There is a slight flaw in it, that when I get a notification, I try to click on it, but the notification doesn't open

What I like most about Class Dojo is the easy and speed of use. This program allows me to view in real time my children's grade and attendance.

Minpunten:

What I like least about Class Dojo is that it took over a year to get a change in one of my children's person information.
