My Experience and Recommendation

Pluspunten:

From the perspective of someone making a purchasing decision, I am extremely pleased with iSpring Suite. The fact that our employees are satisfied with their work within the system speaks volumes. The support provided by iSpring is not only timely but also exceptionally prompt. Overall, my experience with iSpring Suite has been exceedingly positive. I regard it as an exceptional tool for developing a wide range of content, and I wholeheartedly endorse it for those who may be uncertain about which program to select.

Minpunten:

I don't have any specific complaints about iSpring Suite.

Trustworthy partner

Opmerkingen: Have been a long time user and I tested/used multiple authoring tools. None of them compare to the ease and service that iSpring does.

Pluspunten:

I would give customer support 10 extra stars if I could! I hardly ever need them, but when I do, they are fast, very knowledgeable and will only stop when it's solved.

Minpunten:

Export files for translations should have the option to choose which xliff version. With only one .XLIFF version (1.2) I cannot use this functionality at all, as my translation software only accepts another version. And trust me, that company also got this feedback in reverse!

Opmerkingen: I'm creating an interactive course for children, and it's excellent. I can easily convert PowerPoint into SCORM. The technical support is always there and responds within 24 hours. Thank you.

I like the tasks, such as matching pictures with words, drag and drop, and other interactions.

Minpunten:

I think there aren't enough illustrated characters for young children, as well as backgrounds

An intuitive time-saver

Opmerkingen: My job entails training those in caring professions how to use software - be it bespoke packages, or how to use Microsoft Excel to analyse statistics and everything in-between. Taking time out of busy and unpredictable schedules to attend an all day course on Advanced Excel is often not an option. iSpring Suite is allowing courses to be broken down into 15/20 minute 'learning episodes' that are more manageable. Furthermore, staff working nights are able to more readily access learning - something that was difficult in the past... Overall the software will improve access and participation, reducing IT Support workloads and helping ensure compliance, competence and ultimately provide more stimulating, engaging work.

Pluspunten:

The iSpring Suite bridges the gap between mundane PowerPoint based training, and more complex flash or HTML 5 based digital training, that requires a specific skills set that does not necessarily correspond with those of a teacher or trainer. It provides the right mix of interactivity to engage those of all learning biases, the versatility to cover almost any topic and a good range of assessment and analytics to simplify assessment and training effectiveness. Given that there is almost zero learning curve with the software, and the SCORM compliance enabling use with any Learning Management System worth it's salt, it's a extremely cost effective solution that simply lets you get on with creating content. Furthermore, should you be au fait with HTML and CSS, the output generated can by tweaked if required, but the standard interface and options provide a clean, user friendly and attractive front end to courses.

Minpunten:

The only slight tarnish on an otherwise perfect product is the lack of titling facilities within the screen/video capture module, iCamPro. This is a minor niggle, given that the iSpring Suite is integrated into PowerPoint, which can be used to bridge this shortfall through appropriate use of animation and export to WMV which can then be spliced into video files as required...

It's intuitive and robust and "sits" on top of MSFT PowerPoint. It accommodates, audio, video, AI, quizzes and assessments.

Minpunten:

The inability to control font color or size within the branching scenarios like you can in other areas.

Opmerkingen: It has been positive from first talking to our rep when we were looking for an online program. The trail went smoothly, but the backup service from the support team is just the best. They are patient and nothing is too hard for them to help with.

Pluspunten:

It can be easily used as part of Power Point. If you are familiar with power point it is relatively easy to use iSpring.

Minpunten:

Just learning a new program. but with patience I learned that it wasn't that hard to use.

Pluspunten:

I truly appreciate the ease with which we can create and navigate content within the system. Given our extensive experience with PowerPoint, iSpring provides a seamless transition to a robust content library and effortless module assignment across various teams. The ability to monitor progress and pinpoint knowledge gaps among our users is invaluable. The interactivity of the platform allows us to craft engaging eLearning experiences and effectively digitalize our training process. It's a fantastic tool for enhancing our training efforts!

Minpunten:

One of the most challenging aspects we encountered was automating the registration process for each user within iSpring, particularly in our fast-paced and dynamic company where team changes due to new hires and promotions are frequent. Although we devised a method to automate this process and integrate it with OKTA based on job titles, the system does not automatically update when employees switch teams. This has a detrimental impact on our reporting, and the manual updating of lists is time-consuming. Additionally, we see an opportunity for enhancements, particularly in the area of card flips, to further optimize the platform.

Nice tool for good price

Opmerkingen: while not at the very top of eLearning softwares, it is definitely worth its price and as with many "smaller" companies the support is what sets them apart from other providers.

Pluspunten:

really easy to use, Powerpoint plugin integration helps starting projects quickly and efficiently. Useful functionalities keep being added (i.e. last year text to speech). Low price compared to other providers like Adobe Captivate. Customer Support always answers quickly and resolves most issues in no time, big plus for us.

Minpunten:

collaboration with colleagues is still not optimal. Working on a shared drive is impossible, the cloud solution requires you to upload and download the project every time you make a change and still it is not seamless and you sometimes need to link project files with source files when editing a colleagues file.

Easy to learn and use.

Opmerkingen: Overall, using iSpring Suite is a positive experience. I've tried others, but none are as easy to use and have excellent technical support.

Pluspunten:

Since iSpring was designed to work with PowerPoint, using your existing training or teaching materials is easy. The added benefit of integrating checkpoint quizzes and exit assessments allows the student to self-monitor their understanding.

Minpunten:

The software is obviously designed and marketed towards corporate training and the included characters and backgrounds are limited if you are designing courses or lessons that are geared toward secondary education or below.
