Great SIS
Opmerkingen: WCA uses Gradelink to connect parents with their child's school experience. Being able to see grades, discipline reports, and upcoming events allow families to gain insight into the school.
Pluspunten:
Gradelink is a very simple School information System (SIS). As such, the setup time is very fast. The Gradelink support team is very helpful in getting the support that is necessary.
Minpunten:
Because the SIS is a simple, there are not many additional features. The basic features- gradebook, lesson plans, etc. are accessible. However, the more complex features are not available.

Opmerkingen: From start to finish, it's been really pleasant! But, seriously it's [sensitive content hidden] who makes it work for us, who helps us when we have dumb moments, who never makes us feel dumb when we have dumb moments, and who keeps us loving gradelink

[sensitive content hidden] is amazing. She is always quick to help, very clearly answers questions, and is thoughtful and funny.
Minpunten:
Our school year hasn't begun, so we haven't gotten our hands but so dirty with gradelink. As of today, there isn't anything we don't like...but if there is, I'm 110% sure [sensitive content hidden] will help us figure it out

Opmerkingen: It has been easy to learn and easy to use, regarding the functionality it has available.
Pluspunten:
I was able to figure out how to use most of the features by watching the training videos. I utilize the solutions homepage often.
Minpunten:
The ability to pull information out of the database is not as strong as I would like for reporting functions.

Minpunten:
There are some pretty substantial limitations on the backend that make a lot of extra work for reporting and rostering. I WAS aware of that when I purchased Gradelink for us in 2021 though so that's on me. What is surprising, however, is that no enhancements have been made in that realm. Users should be able to determine what fields are included in exports and to select to which format they are being exported. I can't tell you how much extra work I do for basic reports and for something like creating honor roll certificates based on "GPA" (averages, not GPAs per se but just using that phrase to explain)

Makes generating transcripts a dream! Friendly customer service.
Opmerkingen: The support we have received has been very helpful in figuring out what we can and cannot expect from Gradelink. In the main, our team has been very happy with the professionalism Gradelink has given our school over the last 3 years. We plan to continue using it.
Pluspunten:
The transcript feature, communication features, and standards tracking have been exceptionally useful for our school. The main reason we looked for a SIS was for transcript records management, and Gradelink has been perfect for us. The Report Card has been more difficult to customize for our small school, but teachers have been able to find work-arounds.
Minpunten:
Ease of Use is 4 stars because some teachers have had a difficult time getting the hang of it, and some help tutorials or explanations can be difficult to find until you know what you're looking for. One feature that we have asked for several times is an app for teachers. The software is unusable on a mobile device, and there are times when a student calls with a question and the teacher is not by a computer browser to help answer that question.
