Elephas is just what I have been looking for!

Opmerkingen: Amazing! There are many apps that can do bits and pieces of what Elephas can do, but not all of it. Also, the utility of the super brains for so many different tasks, and the broad selection of different material they can include make Elephas stand out against any competition.

Pluspunten:

The variety of stuff it can do within the same app.

Minpunten:

The indexing of pdfs into my super brains has been slow so far, but the team is on it.

Bring OpenAI power without copy-pasting text into Chatgpt. Since it's on the operating system level, it works on ANY app you use.

Minpunten:

Needs UX rework to simplify its usage "Brains" feature, where you can add your own files to chat with them, is very quirky and doesn't work most of the time.

Powerful and easy to use AI assistant

Opmerkingen: I still consider myself a new user, but I have already had significant success in using it to prepare for meetings and even during meetings to refine existing chats and get information quickly. The application lends itself to immediate productive use without having to refer to user guides or tutorials. I have been able to be very productive from my first use and look forward to improving my expertise and proficiency.

Pluspunten:

I like how easy it is to create specialized brains based on personal or professional files, documents, notes, and web pages in the application. I have personally created hundreds of reports over my career, and I can upload those and those of my colleagues to create a specialized brain. I also rely heavily on environmental codes and regulations, and now I can upload codes, ordinances, and regulations and get the specific answers I need with references to the relevant sections. This is a major time saver and game-changer for me.

Minpunten:

I have occasionally experienced large memory usage and have had to force quit and restart the app.

If they take away Elephas from me I will lose my job

Opmerkingen: In general, I'm ElephasDicto, I simply use it for everything. In fact, I wish I had more time to study the documentation in depth - I feel that no matter how hard I try I'll never be able to use all the functions. I may not have Google, but I don't have Elephas.

Pluspunten:

I am biased when it comes to talking about Elephas; I use it for absolutely everything. From rewriting a text for me to reminding me of facts I didn't even remember (with Brain). However, the platform won me over the day I simply asked if there was a way to change the app to Portuguese-BR in the keyboard settings on the iPhone, and the developer said he would look into it. Magically, days later, without any announcements, he added the feature. This kind of support is extremely rare to see (and I've seen it several times on Discord). In fact, I used Elephas to translate this, haha!

Minpunten:

1) I miss the possibility of setting a single model for all responses in the default settings section. In fact, I am available to help.

Flexible AI tool with superb functionality

Opmerkingen: It's a great tool, one of the earliest AI related tools I bought. No regrets whatsoever.

Pluspunten:

The Super Brain function is brilliant. It's my daily driver. Also, I can use chat with a local LLM, so everything stays local. And it can export the results directly into a Keynote presentation - if you have a ready presentation template, you can be set in 5 minutes.

Minpunten:

The UI wasn't the greatest until the updates done a while ago.

A great AI companion

It's always available and its "brain" function is incredibly useful.

I wish it wouldn't quit entirely with a cmd-q, because I accidentally quit it when I want to just close the window.

Elephas versatile, context aware AI tool

Elephas is very easy to use and its very context aware on my mac. I just default to use it all the time. Not just like those software you install and then forget about, this one calls the necessity to be used in many default and custom ways.

King of AI clients

Opmerkingen: I've tried pretty much every local AI client on my Mac, but Elephas may be the best. Really centres on building knowledge bases (aka 'Brains') which is a common use case I have. Also provides all the other tools you'd expect (chat, text replacement, personas/tones etc).

Pluspunten:

Makes RAG and local knowledge base creation very easy!

Minpunten:

A few UI quirks but overall it's a solid experience.

It’s not the most polished, and synching across devices doesn’t fully work as one would expect. But I’m sure they will improve it.

Game changer for your productivity

I discovered this tool thanks to a friend and have become my Swiss-knife tool for content creation and AI productivity assistance. I like the fact that you can create brains, bringing your own data, and chat with it, as it was some sort of Yoda character. This is a game changer. By far the best app of its kind as of the moment.Additionally, the team is very proactive bringing up new updates and fixing small bugs.Kuddos and continue the great job.

I guess it can't be avoided, but API calls to OpeanAI results being quite expensive... but I guess it's the price to pay for having a customized brain at your service.

One of my most used tools

Opmerkingen: Elephas is best thought of as a force-multiplier for productivity tasks which is a unique application of GPT3/4 which is enabled by its deep integration into macOS.

Pluspunten:

Elephas is an incredibly useful tool. It is built into macOS, making it very easy to integrate into existing workflows. It also provides a great chatbot front-end for chatgpt, making it a great way to automate tasks and streamline communication.

Minpunten:

Elephas is a great tool, but it could use some improvements. The lack of an auto-update mechanism is a bit of a letdown, and the UI could use a bit more polish.

Technically challenged user Very pleased with prduct

Opmerkingen: Intrigued by the advantages of using AI. Saw this company came highly rated and gave it a try. One morning I was having difficulty only to receive an immediate response via email to set up a zoom to fix my issues. Minutes later the [sensitive content hidden] of the company was helping me. This alone sold me on the product.

Pluspunten:

Grammar check and re write. Hopefully I'll figure out a way to use the other features as I LOVE the grammar check.

Minpunten:

Cannot blame Elephas as my technical skills are lacking

Sometimes it can be difficult to set up brains but once this is done it is easy to use.

The Super Brain feature is great, it helps a lot that you can sync it with your phone and have it available at all times.

Writer full time

Opmerkingen: Easy to use and friendly. The shortcut to access to the features are great and the translation tool are very accurate.

Pluspunten:

The best feature is that facilitates the search for data. Other it is that gives you fast access to the prompts. And the thing is the constant solicitude of the API key.

I suppose that when I check my spelling, the app changes everything without showing the errors and changes before changing it to the text.

A great tool to supplement content generation

Pluspunten:

Elephas gives you a lot of content to work with compared to free online tools. The new brain creation tool is great, and really allows you to emulate particular styles of writing.

Minpunten:

It is prone to repeating itself, and can often just write the same article twice with only the subject keywords swapped out. The custom brain tool mitigates this somewhat.

Super Brain is Awesome

Pluspunten:

The ability to train an AI on user selected documents saved me hours every week on redundant work and allowed me to focus more on patient care.

Minpunten:

the chat box is not as great as I hoped it to be. I would refer the team to Notion AI or Reflect AI for select to highlight chat functionality.

Good desktop integration of GPT

Customizable pro user software. Make options and shortcuts for every type of task you'd use chatGPT for.

There is a learning curve for how elephas will interact with existing text, selected text, and what exactly its going to receive from your screen when you activate it

Growing your software

Opmerkingen: It’s been a good product so far. There are still improvements that need to be made, but [sensitive content hidden] is fast to iterate and continues to improve.

Pluspunten:

I love using the smart write feature to reply to emails and help me write out documents. I have found it to be a great time saver.

Minpunten:

It can sometimes be buggy and will take a few attempts to get an appropriate output. Sometimes I will use smart write, and it will paste from clipboard vs creating relevant content.

Great product for using GPT everywhere
