Wat is Microsoft Planner?
Microsoft Planner is a new app from Microsoft that helps teams organize their work. Planner gives teams a simple visual view of what everyone's working on, whether it's updating key milestones on a project timeline or sharing files with your distributed team. Planner integrates with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook and SharePoint, so it's easy for people to stay connected. And since the app syncs between desktop, web and mobile, organizers can keep their plans up to date from wherever they are.
Microsoft Planner helps get project plans started and moved into the cloud. Teams can see updates, upload files, send messages, and start conversations from Outlook or Planner on any device. Organize projects in a simple visual agenda that shows who's working on what, when updates are due, and what needs to happen next with one click to join a conversation about a task or project.

Reviews over Microsoft Planner
A practical management tool
Opmerkingen: It is a practical tool for teams that base their work on Microsoft tools. It is an easy-to-use tool and practical. Without wasting time, a team member can start using it.
This tool helps you breakdown the tasks easily and organize them in a practical way. Additionally, team members can comment and interact within each tasks. This way all the necessery information for one task is kept organized in one place.
The tasks can not be automatically re-arranged according to the labels. Additionally, It is not friendly to the integration of different programs and tools apart from the products of Microsoft.
A basic but versatile tool forms an important part of the Office 365 suite.
Opmerkingen: I have really enjoyed using Planner for what it is - basic project and task management. Within the context of a team it ex excellent for Agile project management. Outside of this context and when more robust project management is required Planner is often too limited and leads us to look for more able tools.
Super simple to use and with a good range of functionality, Planner is a light project management tool that is an important part of the Office 365 suite. Tasks for part of the task engine within Office 365 through Microsoft To Do. Information and categorisation that can be recorded on a task is versatile and, when coupled with search and filters, makes keeping track of tasks easy.
The most frustrating aspect of Planner is the lack of a public view of the board and tasks. Only members of the team can follow progress. Planner is so closely coupled into the team membership of Office 365 that it limits its uses. Also, the lack of gantt chart functionality weakens the ability of Planner to be considered a serious project management tool.
Basic task management tool
The service is easily available as it's part of Office 365 subscriptions. It integrates fairly well with other Microsoft services and does fulfill the basic task management needs.
Frequent issues with lost updates and such, especially on other browsers than Microsoft Edge. No support for tagging certain users (in comments or such). Poor support for workflows (tasks can be assigned to multiple people at a time, with no other means of ensuring that other people get updates, so it's hard to determine who should act on a certain task at a certain time).
The right tool for the team that uses Microsoft 365 products
Opmerkingen: It is an easy-to-use tool, but with few features that will allow you to work collaboratively.
Its highly controlled integration with the other Microsoft 365 product modules. It is very easy to learn, with the gantt view which is customizable and filterable. The management of notifications is intelligent, they are sent grouped, not one by one. Integration with email and other tools through Power Automate.
Few features on content management: No text formatting, impossible to identify collaborators in the comment, no drag and drop for files, no preview for images.
A convenient and intuitive app for task management
Microsoft Planner is a convenient and practical tool for task management especially for teams, not to mention that you can integrate it with its Microsoft 365, which is great. I find the interface refreshing in comparison to other apps because I appreciate its simplicity and user friendliness so I enjoy using it. I can keep track of my tasks and to-do lists and meet deadlines and the view makes things much easier and flexible and you can customize it to your liking.
i haven't found problems since using it so I'm happy with it.
