Great Experience

Opmerkingen: I like it. Right now im using to simulate an hydraulic plant for my thesis. Its usefull because im using the SD and AB at the same time to simulate the water flow, and the water demand from people.
I like the lots of library it's too, from pedestrian, fluids, traffics, etc.

Pluspunten:

The possibility to work with AB-SD-DE at the same time. Its usefull to have from low level abstraction to high level abstraction

Minpunten:

It's not recognized. Find tutorials or books abouts certains simulations and how it works it's hard

efficient tool for ABM!

Pluspunten:

flowchart is easy for starters quickly start using this software for simulation, and also provides a bunch of chart and analysis tools.

Minpunten:

Although scripts can be seen, not all files and all parts of files can be freely customised, thus making research and applying ML models into agents challenging

Opmerkingen: Mid, I would probably avoid using it but it was easy to learn and gets the job done.

Pluspunten:

Has ton of stuff for simulations. you can use it to simulate anything you can thing of.

Minpunten:

Performance, slow simulations, running out of memory, weird and outdated code paradigms. UI looks ugly and outdated

Opmerkingen: Overall good, easy to use but need to train for the models.

Pluspunten:

Great interface for systems dynamics modeling.

Minpunten:

Need training for systems dynamics models. More like user issue. AnyLogic is more expensive than other engine.

Great even for beginners

Opmerkingen: I am a Master's student and one of my lecture is using this software. So far I have been interested in simulation even beyond the class.

Pluspunten:

It is basically just a blank canvas, where user is given the utmost flexibility to create anything.

Minpunten:

Some basic features and interfaces are not intuitive-friendly yet.

ersatile Simulation Tool for Supply Chain

Pluspunten:

AnyLogic’s flexibility in handling discrete, agent-based, and system dynamics modeling is great. Its Java integration allows deep customization, making it powerful for complex supply chain and logistics simulations.

Minpunten:

The learning curve is steep, especially for beginners. The interface feels a bit outdated, and debugging complex models can be frustrating due to limited error explanations. More built-in templates would help.

Opmerkingen: Excellent software. I would like to include more experiments and learnings in my future courses. I would also like to see industry use-cases with real life example. For example- is it used by Ford motors, Toyota?

Pluspunten:

3D visualization is excellent as well as the analysis part.

Minpunten:

All good, just need more free webinars so that the college students can understand more about the model creation process and secondly, needs clear explanation of analysis KPIs being shown on the models.

My experience with anylogic

Opmerkingen: Simple futuristic and it was fun to interact with

My experience with AnyLogic in Healthcare

Pluspunten:

The wide range of applications of this software is amazing. I used it in the healthcare setting and I highly recommend it.

Minpunten:

I would have appreciated a more extended explanation when getting an error.

Great software, but would like better documentation for newcomers

Opmerkingen: Very confused when I first started using it, but got the hang of it once I build enough models and read the documentation.

Pluspunten:

I like the flexibility and ease of creating models.

Minpunten:

The documentation and learning materials are lacking, since each model has it's own needs. Also, the "learn in 3 days" is separate from the actual documentation, making it confusing how there are 2 official sources. For the Javascript, it's very unclear how much code needs to be written in the 'advanced java' like the import statement, as it differs from modules/interfaces/variables/functions.

AnyLogic Review

It is so user-friendly and easy to work with.

Using the Java makes it a little hard to understand. One good thing is to have a specific and seperated shell for coding.

I like every thing in this software, there is nothing that I didn't like it. It is a very effective software till date that I had used.

Regarding its functioning

Opmerkingen: Overall it was good.I did my university projection about simulation model building and we formulate a model which was failed because the anylogic doesn't have advanced system to adopt that function so unfortunately we were compelled to change our whole model.

Pluspunten:

The availability of every funtions and command.

The error and some function doesnt accept.

Implement any logic with AnyLogic

Pluspunten:

What I like most about AnyLogic is the ability to integrate machine learning using its "Alpyne" pipeline. There are many other features I appreciate about AnyLogic, such as the drag-and-drop feature, which allows me to easily model complex systems without having to hardcode the model.

Minpunten:

I think the IDE interface for writing Java code could be improved, especially the function suggestions.

Master’s student

Opmerkingen: Can’t complain. Very glad I have exposure to it.

Pluspunten:

Within my research we will be making use of Agent-based modelling and System Dynamics. The fact that we can do both within AnyLogic is a massive bonus. I also like the fact that there are som many resources available to learn and develop my modelling skills on the online platform.

Minpunten:

The graphics of the application can be a bit more visually pleasing. This is such a small thing to comment about, but yes, I think there is some room for improvement when it comes to the look of AnyLogic.

I enjoyed the abilities that allow me to simulate different operations, and still add mathematical capabilities, such as different distributions and set seeds.

Minpunten:

The naming and menus you have to go through to change things is too much. I think like a dumbed down tutorial would be very helpful.

It is very customizable which is crucial for process optimization. We use it for a variety of situations and haven't come across a scenario we couldnt use AnyLogic for. Havent had any glitching.

Minpunten:

Nothing too troublesome, it took some time for the team to implement and get use to but not anything unreasonable

Agent based modeling feature on Anylogic and the capability to use it with DES and System Dynamics simuntaneously is good

I wish the price of the annual licence maintenance and the initial purchase price for the education version was lower.
