Opmerkingen: My overall experience with this professional software is very incredible and strongly recommend the use of this software for management solutions.

Pluspunten:

Studio Directors provides its user a complete management solution at single platforms where we can enjoy their amazing features such as class management, attendance management, point of sale, online registration and many more. This is a cloud based software with very easy to use interface and they provides excellent customer services to their users.

Minpunten:

The software is a complete package and i have not found anything problematic.

Opmerkingen: It auto computes my tuition, once I put my rates in, regardless of when the student enrolls. That is a huge benefit.

Pluspunten:

It is all encompassing containing class schedules, family and students information, teachers schedules, and tuition charging and tracking.

Minpunten:

I would like to have my POS incorporated with this software so that I only had to use one system. Consequently I charge on my POS and I have to post in the SD, unless it is just a tuition type charge.

Studio Director for Dance Studios

Opmerkingen: Overall I feel it was helpful for our studio, and best for someone that does not want to spend a lot of time figuring out the software program.

Pluspunten:

It was easy to navigate client accounts and transaction summaries. It was simple enough that you do not require a lot of accounting knowledge to operate the software.

Minpunten:

There aren't as many reports as other studio software, and most charges need to be entered manually. Other software companies allow for set charges to be added by class or year.

Not User Friendly - Downgrade Since User Interface Upgrade

Opmerkingen: Major billing issue that lasted 3 weeks. SD was slow in response, had lack of communication, and failed to accept responsibility. No explanation or apology was ever provided. SD is ignoring their clients begging to return to the previous user interface. This is documented in the SD Idea Portal. They are not responding to customer comments.

Pluspunten:

Currently, we do not like much since the User Interface upgrade.

Minpunten:

User interface upgrade during peak season that changed info that once was on a single page into multiple tabs. At least twice as long to navigate, harder to find information, and possible human error for employees since pivotal information is harder to find.

Opmerkingen: I like the pre-approval feature and the online store feature. However, attendance tracking for faculty is not efficient. A staff portal with attendance and skill tracking would be a huge improvement. Allowing parents to schedule make-ups would be great as well.
The event management is also time consuming. One window to drag and drop classes into an event would be preferred over constantly going back and forth between windows to add performances for classes and adding classes to an event.

Pluspunten:

The pre-approval feature makes registering for the next season so easy for parents. They don't have to search through all class offerings to find the classes they should sign up for.

Minpunten:

I feel like I constantly have to switch between windows to do things. It is very hard for staff to quickly take attendance for their class.

Studio director streamlined some processes, but was hard to use

Opmerkingen: It was an upgrade from the multiple free platforms that were used previously but the organization outgrew Studio Director.

Pluspunten:

Finding contact information and running reports were very helpful.

Minpunten:

The site was not intuitive and many features were very hard to find or understand.

Good Studio Management Software

Opmerkingen: Overall we were satisfied with our use of The Studio Director. We changed to another software for functionality that was more important for customer satisfaction. There were things that the Studio Director does better than competitor tools, but there are gaps in most products in the market.

Pluspunten:

Love the ease of setup of our seasons, classes, billing and charging customers. Most functionality is there for running a dance studio or similar business.

Minpunten:

Could not successfully list classes on our website with links directly to enrolling. No way to track private lessons and studio room usage to have a complete studio availability calendar. Not as user friendly as other studio management products.

Easy to use class management tool

Opmerkingen: I am pleasantly satisfied with the functionality that this tool has provided me with, it has allowed me to establish a much more organized work dynamic, where I can carry out the programming of my dance classes and choreographies, according to the student group. In addition to establishing evaluative methodologies for students, so they can through the application see their performance in our classes, so that parents can also monitor the activities that their children do in my classes.

Pluspunten:

It is a very robust web platform, which also has a mobile application. It allows the programming and management of classes, instructors, billing, as well as the control and monitoring of students. Additionally, it is very easy to use and to configure since it has a very friendly interface, so it does not require a learning curve, on the other hand it has a very affordable price.

Minpunten:

It works efficiently, I have nothing negative to add, it is a very complete platform and has offered me good results.

Alot less headaches for Studio Owners and Dance Teachers

Opmerkingen: Who cares about the looks when running your studio is the main part.
When talking to studio owners and dance teachers they tend to realize that running this business is a more difficult task than jumping on stage. This application gives you alot for not a really big fee. Schedules, presentations, costumer relationship (a.k. parents), and even merchandise selling. Whether its online or on your mobile phone, it's always available so you can stay connected and watch your business grow!

Pluspunten:

A simple idea behind a big solution... a dance studio owner or director is nowhere near of knowing the big administrative task of persuing their dream of teaching young ones. Alot of funtions for running their business and even taking care of payments and schedules... it even tastes like your running a big school all within this app.

Minpunten:

Design is not their biggest attributes but who cares when everything starts to work together.

Pluspunten:

Ease of communication with instructors, students and families. Keeping track of family balances. Comparison of year to year reports.

Minpunten:

Sometimes the dashboard reports seem to fluctuate or not make complete sense month to month and I'm not sure if it's because the information is not entered correctly . For example our enrollment showed 10 people dropped out in the past 2 months and we know that didn't happen.

The customer service with The Studio Director is outstanding!

I love the ease of use. I am NOT computer savvy at all, and it is easy for even someone like me to use!

Minpunten:

I haven't found anything I don't like yet! I guess if I could add anything, would be the option to make my own class category icons, something that looks more like my marketing material for various class types. I am looking forward to getting the app soon!

Great Customer Service

Opmerkingen: I am the office manager for a small Tumbling & Cheerleading gym, this is our first year using TSD. As we work out the kinks and figure out the in's & out's of the program your customer service reps have been amazing! From big to small issues, they have been able to walk us through it all. We have been able to save a lot of time & trees with not having paperwork to do, and are proud of the fact that we have been able to go green! I know when I call that the calls back will be prompt and the person on the other end will be more than happy to help me solve any issue.

Pluspunten:

It's fairly straight forward when you are setting new events or private lessons up.

Minpunten:

We allow our athletes to notify us that they are dropping from a session early on, however when we enter the drop information we loose the ability to evaluate them, This could be resolved by not dropping them till then end of the session, but then we would have to keep track of them elsewhere. The only worry with that would be missing someone, and it creates extra work- which was what we were trying to avoid in using TSD.

Opmerkingen: Their customer service is excellent, the software is pretty user friendly just would love more ease of online registration and a more updated parent portal.

I love the costume measuring feature as well as company sizing.

The system is quite easy to work with. Seems to take all information entered accurately. Also easy to run reports needed.

Sometimes it is a little hard to find what I am looking for, but now I know to call the customer service if I need to.

Opmerkingen: Pros: Easy to use & great to be able to send emails.
Cons: Requires too much information for Prospects, sometimes we don't get address, email & phone numbers from potential clients, so it won't let me enter them in the computer unless I have all that information.
Details: Customer Service is always very quick to respond and accommodate our requests.

Here's a trick you can use to speed up data entry when creating new accounts, particularly when you don't have access to client info. - when on the Family Info page, simply enter a dot or a dash in any of the required fields (leave the email field and all others below that blank) - [Save Changes] and you're done! - when adding a student to an account you can leave the Last Name field blank if the student has the same last name as the Family. The system will automatically apply the Family Last to the student, so you don't have to re-type it in.

I have everything I need through Studio Director to run my studio!

Opmerkingen: I went with Studio Director when I opened my dance studio almost 7 years ago. Back then, there weren't as many choices for software. However, even as newer programs have emerged, I have no need for anything else. Studio Director meets all of our needs. I love the ease of use from both our login and the parent's. I love all the reports to help streamline and find things. I love the costume ordering help. I love the inventory and ability for an online store. I love the recital/performance planning ability. And, I love the customer service. I don't even use all of the features, but know that I could should I need to. I also think it is great that they are constantly updating it to make it better. I honestly don't think that there is another program that does this much, so easily, and with such great customer service. I highly recommend it!

I am very happy we made the switch to The Studio Director!

Opmerkingen: I am very satisfied with our choice to switch to The Studio Director. Our previous database software felt clunky and did not have a helpful client interface, so we never put our schedule or registration online. With TSD, we have and our families love it. I am still learning how to fully use some of the features, but Customer Service and Support is wonderful!!! Whenever I have a question I cannot figure out on my own, they are quick to reply to my emails. I do wish the program had a staff feature, not just for teachers, but for admin and assistant staff. I'd love to be able to track all my staff in one place. I also wish I could easily see item balances rather than running balances in the family ledger, but just today I learned from a webinar how to make that a little easier.

Opmerkingen: I've really enjoyed getting to know and use Studio Director for our two locations of dance and gymnastics studios. It has so many wonderful capabilities and their customer service has always been top notch.

Pluspunten:

I can email by class, the text feature if needed, the portal for each family to log into to for less on my end to do. It is a toss up!

Minpunten:

No employee time card features or tax features yet.

The many features it provides. We love the emailing feature from the software. We also love how it keeps everything we provide in one place including inventory.

The payment ledger can be a bit confusing. We are still learning about the software so we will see what else arises, but so far we love it.

Best Customer Service Ever!

Opmerkingen: I have been using Studio Director for nearly 8 years now and have seen this software continually improve over time. It is by far the easiest to use and navigate and by FAR the easiest company to get service from. We started using SD when we only had 180 kids and now we are over 1000. We could have never gotten to where we are today without you! Thank you Studio Director for always being there for us when we can't figure something out!
