I find the product easy to use once you get the hang of it.
Reporting can be difficult for those who don't understand table structure and sql script. Transfer of knowledge for system design is an extended process.

Great tool to assist with recruiting and hiring processes

Reliable Applicant Tracking Software
Opmerkingen: My overall experience with Neogov has been really good. I love using the software and it has been a good way for us to recruit candidates for all of our job bulletins.
Pluspunten:
What I like most about Neogov is that the system is very easy to learn and use. The layout and design of the software is easy to navigate. I like that Neogov has a online community to support the software and you can pick up the phone and call them if you need real time technical assistance. I have used the system for about 4 years and it has been one of the most reliable that I have ever worked with. I also like that the software is web based.
Minpunten:
There are some areas in Neogov that do not have the audit trail feature. This is a feature that tracks which user has made changes or completed tasks in the system. Another thing I do not like about Neogov is that some features have to be customized and developed before they can be implemented

Opmerkingen: I have been very impressed with the software, customer support, and the demonstrated commitment NEOGOV has to it's products and clients. Innovation never stops!
Pluspunten:
I like that Neogov listens to their users' feedback. They don't just receive comments and recommendations, they use the feedback to constantly improve their customers' experience. Reliable data management and workflows.
Minpunten:
The enhancements sometimes take a while to implement, but it's to be expected. I'm disappointed in the delay of administrator training for modules like HRIS.
There are much better products out there for the same price!
Opmerkingen: Not so great. The applicant tracking system is probably their best working program, but is a dinosaur. Their support is awful to say the least.In my opinion, this company needs a new [sensitive content hidden]. They have a great product, but it is not well ran, doesn't put their money into development into current products. Instead, they focus on purchasing new products and leaving their current programs with little money to develop and improve. They have spread themselves too thin with too many suites with too many issues.
Pluspunten:
It is great that it is a full suite of products.
Minpunten:
Their user roles in Perform, e-Forms, Onboard, and Learn, hinder the usability of the product. For instance, forms can only be completed and assigned for employees if the person completing it is in the hierarchy for the employee. It allows no options for purchasing, procurement, badge creators, etc. to fill out fields on a form, or sign a form, if they are not in the hierarchy. The work around is giving these individuals IT User roles, which gives them way to much access. Basically, we are unable to use the full program due to this limitation. We have addressed with NEOGOV and they explained it is by design and they don't agree there is an issue with this approach.Tasks in Onboard can only be completed and assigned to people in the hierarchy. Again, there are some tasks that others contribute for new hires and those tasks cannot be supported. For instance, someone orders uniforms for employees. They cannot be assigned the task because they are not in the employee's hierarchy.

Opmerkingen: Overall all, it is a great tool, especially for applicant tracking, allowing us to reassign recruitment activity, see where processes are in real time and eliminating the need for paper and Excel.
Pluspunten:
We primarily use Insight/OHC and Onboard I love the scoring and am looking forward to the enhancements.
Minpunten:
The software tracks many steps throughout the recruitment process and allows reporting, however, it does not track the SME step as a reportable feature, which is needed for time to hire tracking. Also, the system does not allow the removal of OHC user access to specific recruitments the way it does in Insight. The Conviction Questionnaire, while easy to use, does require multiple steps.
Great suite for HR professionals
Pluspunten:
Insight: This is the product I use the most and it has greatly helped me in my job as a Recruiting Manager. I can take a candidate from the beginning all the way to date of hire in one platform. The functionality is very easy. The process also has features to promote diversity and reduce bias which is VERY important to me and the role I serve in the organization.
Minpunten:
Customization of the PAF is tricky and I wish there were more work arounds to get this form to look that the one we use in our organization. Specifically, we cannot have gender and ethnicity on our PAFs. Very interesting since you organization is promoting inclusivity.
NEOGOV - PCCA Experience
Opmerkingen: Online applications submitted and processed streamline the process for all HR Team. Online enrollment for all new hire paperwork. Online experience for all learners.
Pluspunten:
It is a very user-friendly system, it is very intuitive. Customer support is always available for internal and external users and administrators.
Minpunten:
The generality that it has for some features and ensuring they follow up in suggestions of what can be done better as to functionality and features specific to the organization and the industry.

Opmerkingen: Great product. I like how simple and easy it was to implement and configure especially compared to previous implementations for other products.
Pluspunten:
I like how easy it is to modify the product to meet our needs. It is simple and easy for candidates to use.
Minpunten:
There was not anything in particular I did not like.
No HR specialist or IT specialist on staff and we were able to implement

Generally easy to understand and use. The web-based platform was perfect for us during remote work and continues to be an asset to us.
Minpunten:
Some features are not intuitive and there are some features (especially notifications) that aren't available and would be very helpful.
NEOGOV Review
Opmerkingen: I feel like NEOGOV has helped our business in being more organized in keeping track of applicants and having all the onboarding paperwork electronically.
Pluspunten:
I enjoy the NEOGOV software because it's a very organized system when comes to Applicant Tracking and Onboarding.
Minpunten:
What I like the least about the software is I wish we will get notification when an Applicant applies to a specific job posting.
Easy and fluid to use
Opmerkingen: Overall very positive compared to other ATS systems I've seen and used.
Pluspunten:
We use most of the NEOGOV features and they all work pretty seamlessly. The dashboards are easy to read and navigate to more refined details.
Minpunten:
Some things feel a little buried where it feels like I'm digging through several screens to get where I'm going.
Well designed with many features
Opmerkingen: The High Line product is well designed and offers many features. It is highly customizable so I think ease of use and customer experience can vary widely depending on how you customize. Once the system is set up it is very easy for the employees to use. The product has many different modules that are used together to create a complete employee picture. These can be added over time. Most records are date effective so you are provided with a very good historical picture as well. High Line has many consultants that can be hired to help with ongoing customization. As a government agency that hosts onsite and does its best to maintain the system in-house, we found that the IT people maintaining the system needed a higher skill set than what we originally planned for. Payroll and HR need someone who is somewhat tech-savvy to understand how the pieces fit together and advise how to best move forward with changes and additions. Value for money depends on how you choose to customize. If a complicated and/or lengthy implementation, it can get pricey but for a more straightforward implementation, it is very cost effective.
Pluspunten:
The database design and how the screens/forms work together; how you can drill down in the screens to get to more info.
Minpunten:
It is large and a bit of a beast at times. The admin app is Java based which often causes desktop issues. When something goes wrong it requires some skill to figure out what's going on. Often High Line help is needed. Because it is highly customizable, it is impossible for High Line to test their patches and upgrades for all possible ways the system is used so it is left on the using organization to fully test all updates.

As you are aware, the Personality HCM is now available as a SaaS/hosted solution, delivered entirely over the internet. The Java client is now typically only used by system administrators. This may help with some of the issues your encountering. Also, appreciate your comments about customization, however, note that we have not customized the solution for your county, rather standard configuration tools have been used to make Personality operate uniquely for you. Upgrades are designed to work with client configurations, however, as with any software, configured forms/fields/calculation still need to be tested to ensure they are functioning as expected. We are always available to help, so please do not hesitate to contact support with anything that comes up.
NEOGOV hires!!
Opmerkingen: For the most part, as a daily NEOGOV user it gets the HR job done. I am able to complete evaluations, onboard, e-forms, and complete tasks all in the same program. It streamlines a variety of recruiting and talent management processes. It saves time because their is no longer paper and it reduces administrative requirements by managing information electronically to the correct departments to be processed. It also helps when onboarding new employees as we can see exactly what forms are being completed before the hire date. NEOGOV is great for managers, hiring managers, HR departments, IT and admin offices!! It gets the job done!
Pluspunten:
NEOGOV is user-friendly platform but I really appreciate the onboarding. It gets the new employees to get all their paperwork done before their initial start date. I appreciate the forms going into the correct portals and being completed all in one central location. Customer service is great too!! They are very engaged in troubleshooting. There is also a separate Support for Applicants so we don't need to spend a lot of time troubleshooting. It makes it easy when new employees are having issues during the onboarding process.
Minpunten:
Its not always user friendly. Sometimes it hard to explain to others when trying to troubleshoot.

I have been using NeoGov for the past 9 years and it has changed a lot, for the better. NeoGov is great about updating and making improvements. We only use the Insight, OHC, and Onboard modules. The modules pretty much do everything we need for them to do. And compared to prices of other Applicant Tracking Systems, NeoGov is hands-down the best value.
Minpunten:
Some processes take too many steps to complete such as closing out a posting requisition.
Government Application System
Opmerkingen: Product is good. Frustrated how there are extra fees for everything, including now you have to pay to take their training programs. You should not have to pay extra to learn how to be more proficient and better use a product features.
Pluspunten:
It provides a basic electronic application system for applicants for government jobs. Allows employees to have one application to apply for multiple jobs. Can look at applicant history to see what they have applied for in the past and the stages of the recruitment process.
Minpunten:
It is pricey for what we get. Additional components are all add-on costs. Even the training through their on-line "university" now has a fee associated with learning about how to use the product. Reporting is very limited and it is difficult to get what we actually need without time spent trying to manipulate the data.
Streamline with NEOGOV

NEOGOV is the one stop shop for all things HR and streamlining your process. In the 4 years we have used NEOGOV we have been able to move to a completely paperless hiring, onboarding and employee experience. NEOGOV has streamlined our processes allowing us to spend more time being creative and working with our employees.
Minpunten:
NEOGOV is a growing company with many different public sector users. This at time can cause delay in questions you may have for customer service. However you can always use the community to answer questions as well.
Still the only software package that allows us to customize the process to our needs
Pluspunten:
The customization of the product to our organizational needs. Instead of adapting to the way a software package works, we were able to customize the package to our policies and needs. Customer support is outstanding in the fact that when we contact them with an urgent need, they will work with us until it is resolved. We have been with High Line since 1999 and have stayed with them after each system review for the functionality that is offered.
Minpunten:
The only complaint we have had is with the Recruitment Module. Being a government organization, it is difficult to counter all of our recruitment needs to follow our ever changing policies.
Very flexible software. Can make it process almost any pay.
Opmerkingen: Made processing payroll much easier. My favorite process is trial calcs. We used to spend a lot of time figuring employees pay. Now it's a click of a finger
Pluspunten:
Once set up, processing payroll is quite easy to accomplish. User calcs run behind the scene to make even the most complicated payroll process quite nicely. Data entry is quick and easy. Pulling up information happens at the snap of a finger, so to speak.
Minpunten:
Setting up the program is difficult for the non techie. User calcs must be written to make the system do more complicated calculations that are required to ensure payroll is prepared properly. Definitely requires a computer tech to maintain this system.
NEOGOV - Perform, Insight and Onboard
Opmerkingen: NEOGOV has lightened the paperwork load which we are all very grateful for that the system has allowed us to automate the process.
Pluspunten:
NEOGOV is visually appealing to the user. On the Perform end it allows users to easily navigate, complete and view all of their personal and direct report performance evaluations.
Minpunten:
Unfortunately it is not a one size fits all software. There are certain processes we have in place due to Accreditation standards and state law records that when it comes to reporting and record keeping we still have to have a manual process for pulling specific information.
NeoGov is a great solution for every day processes!
Pluspunten:
We started our NeoGov journey with the Insight module and continue to add more and more modules. The ease of use is phenomenal. I love that NeoGov takes suggestions and ideas from their customers and makes them a reality. They are continually upgrading the system without asking the customer to pay more fees, etc. You can use the system from virtually anywhere.
Minpunten:
Some things require more steps than I think are necessary but as I mentioned before, they are always improving processes.
Much better than PageUp
Opmerkingen: Overall it has been very positive. Pretty simple visually and not a big learning curve.
Pluspunten:
Basic features are pretty intuitive. Like it much better than software called PageUp that I used at another organization. Like that the tools offered are starting to be more comprehensive for overall HR management. Nice to be able to use one software for multiple functions.
Minpunten:
Reporting features could use some improvement. But part of that is learning it better.

Opmerkingen: Overall my experience with NEOGOV is great for being a first time new user. The help and training section is fantastic!
Pluspunten:
The product is very user friendly and easy to understand. I enjoy the ease of onboarding and keeping track of applicants to ensure all steps are taken when multiple users have a hand in the recruitment.
Minpunten:
Though automatic emails are a great feature I do believe having the option to turn on and off automatic emails would be beneficial. There is no feature in onboarding to indicate an activation email was sent especially if you miss the quick pop stating it was sent to the applicant.

As a new user, I had the opportunity to try NEOGOV just for a few months. Still, this conference is providing the necessary tools to take back to our team and support a streamline process.

Neogov Review
Opmerkingen: Time to hire has decreased! Rate interviews live with the panel using OHC and laptops, interview self-scheduling and integrated background is great. Currently implementing Perform and already see a huge difference compared to our current paper process. Time saver!
Pluspunten:
Ease of use, excellent customer service, great implementation teams, constantly developing.

Some features you think will work during implementation do not work as expected.
Dealing with customer support is always a good experience.
Pluspunten:
The application is fairly stable, we don't have to restart it very often during business hours. Production issues are dealt with quickly by customer care and they are always friendly and helpful. Screens, functions, reports are customizable which is really nice.
Minpunten:
Our version still uses Java, which can be a pain to support sometimes due to the constant version upgrades etc. Oracle licensing costs are expensive.
NeoGov Review
Opmerkingen: Mostly good, lately there has been an half hour or more wait time when calling customer service. But whenever you do get an agent on the line, they are very helpful.
Pluspunten:
The applicant tracking software is awesome and they are constantly innovating and adding addition features.
Minpunten:
The "help" panel. It is difficult to just type in the search what you are looking for in the user manual.
