Love the Organizational Aspect of Arena PLM

Opmerkingen: I work with Arena PLM in a "user" capacity versus an "administrative" capacity. It's quick and easy to input the information needed to process DCOs.

Pluspunten:

The best part of Arena PLM for me is the organizational aspect of the platform that allows me to stay on task. It's a fantastic time saver.

Minpunten:

Nothing, everything is good about Arena PLM; especially the fact that new enhancements are added often.

Arena For Product Develpment

Opmerkingen: Overall it has been a very positive experience. It easily allows us to review part history, have a single source of truth for file releases, and provides easy to find/read/review BOMs. It also allows for a great amount of flexibility on release workflows and approvals, as well as easy to review sharing settings for releasing parts to suppliers

Pluspunten:

Arena easily allows for a single source of truth for parts, assemblies and related documentation. It provides a quick way to view part status, history, and release state and easily allows these parts to be shared with external suppliers. It allows for a complex linking of files between multiple parts, as well as being able to track parts through the development cycle

Minpunten:

Setup, migration, and training were difficult. Some things still need manual interaction on a daily basis such as marking primary files. Integrations with external software such as Jira and SolidWorks are non-existant, and custom integrations need to be created and maintained. Workflows need to be manually created to match workflows in other systems.

Functional but could have better usability

Pluspunten:

The search menu is intuitive and easy to use

Minpunten:

Creating new entries and searching doesn't have any smart features like auto complete.

ARENA review 9-16-24, primary user.

Opmerkingen: Awesome tool once you get practiced using it. I have been an ARENA user for about 10 years and still have some difficulty with the features I do not use regularly. Overall, it is a powerful tool that serves our needs well.

Pluspunten:

ARENA does exactly what we need it to do. It has the flexibility to handle all our documentation.

Minpunten:

Not the most intuitive, quite a substantial learning curve to get proficient with it.

Arena is growing on me!

Opmerkingen: I have only been using Arena for about 6 months now and at first i did not like it all. However, in the short time that I have been a user there has already been a few updates for further improvement. I really love how involved they are with understanding their customer needs and putting customer service first.

Pluspunten:

I like that arena has an account manager that for your company that is always available to answer your questions or point you in the right direction. I love how their website has helpful Q&As and videos so when it is a smaller question, you can solve it on your own.

Minpunten:

My least favorite thing about Arena is the training world. It is lacking be able to send retraining to individuals and have other unique features.

Arena PLM Review

Opmerkingen: Using Arena PLM has been straightforward and easy to teach to other cross-sector teams.

Pluspunten:

- User friendly interface - Clear routing and approvals - Easy administrative backend controls

Minpunten:

Arena had no notable cons or points of concern.

Arena, a reliable eQMS

Opmerkingen: Arena PLM did a great job onboarding our team onto the eQMS system. It was extremely helpful to attend the training session and have a Arena Manager to help calibrate our platform to our needs.

Pluspunten:

I like the ease of access and the aesthetics of the website. Arena is one of the few platforms that make a very user friendly interface. I was new to QMS and Arena made the process simple and easy for me to understand & organize,

Minpunten:

I think the learning curve is definitely steep, but once you become acquainted with the system it is easy to use.

a good tool for document management

Opmerkingen: I consider that Arena is a very good tool for document management and will highly recommend to use

Pluspunten:

Easy access to the system, good management on modifications as requested.

Minpunten:

It could be more visual to the users so it can be harder to perform some mistakes and the capability to delete items/changes that will not be used.

Arena PLM and E-QMS

Opmerkingen: Gain of time and reliability of information, especially during audits.

Pluspunten:

The centralisation of all documentation, quality and development processes, and the ease with which they can be monitored.

Minpunten:

BOM Management. It is not possible to freeze a BOM with defined revisions. When a children Item is updated, it is automatically pushed in BOM.

Arena Impression

Opmerkingen: I have had great experiences with Arena, I have been able to access everything I needed pretty quickly.

Pluspunten:

Since I started using Arena, it has been reliable.

Minpunten:

Some days the server can be a bit slow but not for too long

Review of EQMS Useage

Opmerkingen: The above being said, I do feel we have realized benefits from using the system in the way of organization and being able to process changes in the way they should be.

Pluspunten:

I do like the Engineering Change function and that fact that with the change function as well as others you can attach files.

Minpunten:

I do not like the fact that some of the features needed for quality functions have to be made in the Quality World and require alot of clicks for approvals, complete etc. Currently to set up annual procedure reviews we are having to set it up as a project for notifications to go out 1 year from last revision. One of the most troubling areas for me is that if something changes in one document, such as a revision to a stated value the system does not provide you a list of all documents that the value is found in as some other systems do. For Engineering I think a very good system; for the actual needed quality actions I feel there are some areas lacking. Also have not been able to find an escalation process.

Arena review

Pluspunten:

Arena is a straightforward tool to learn and use.

Minpunten:

The search feature within Arena is terrible and it seems to get stuck with Chrome and firefox unless cookies are deleted weekly. The search feature is limited to a limited "world", and gets stuck with limiters (e.g. search only within completed changes) that aren't apparent when starting a search. If you don't know the naming conventions used prior, Arena makes finding information time-consuming.

Easy to use, very user friendly software.

Pluspunten:

I use the software since 2014 and I love it. As I already mentioned, it's super user friendly and it takes no time to work comfortable with it. I contact support service few times and received the feedback in less then 24 hours. I like that developers listens users inquiries and improve Arena in new releases. Also it's very important that they provide webinars before software updates and send video that Administrators can share to all users.

Minpunten:

It's hard to say because the product is great. However I wish it would be less limitation with number of items mass uploading. For example sometimes our ECOs have more then 100 items but we can not upload more then 50 in one shot

Straightforward, easy to use PLM

Opmerkingen: Having used a different PLM before, I do like this one a lot better because of how straightforward and easy it is to use.

Pluspunten:

Ease of use, decent amount of customization, straightforward BOM/Parts and Documentation revision/tracking.

Minpunten:

Some options/fields don't jive with other tools we currently use. Customization needs customer support though in some cases.

Support our eQMS/PLM Needs

Pluspunten:

The product has the built in features we require but allow us to configure them to suit our needs.

Minpunten:

There is a steep learning curve when onboarding new employees.

Arena has been a great tool for transitioning from no PLM to being able manage our products globally

Opmerkingen: Organization. The software has helped me organize and manage all of our part numbers. It has also allowed me to share the most up to date, and controlled information with our suppliers.

Pluspunten:

The learning curve is not too steep and the Arena team is regularly improving the functionality. Additionally the customer support has been top notch

Minpunten:

Management of suppliers and sharing information (especially files) with suppliers leaves some room for improvement. Another key improvement would be improving the already useful search function to be able to exclude items from a search.

Arena provides a high degree of value; lots of functionality relative to the cost.

Opmerkingen: We aren't using all the potential benefits at present, but are working to take advantage of them. It is a solid tool for Configuration Management; we are just starting to use some of the capabilities that go beyond classic CM.

Pluspunten:

This tool allows an organization with limited Configuration Management experience to do an effective job of CM.

Minpunten:

Some of the user interfaces could be improved to be more intuitive for those unfamiliar with CM or databases, but this is more a user training issue.

Essential PLM tool for large companies

Pluspunten:

The document control, the BOM, the ability to connect multiple components of manufacturing needs via links for different projects and the 'where used' tab..it all makes Arena PLM an essential tool for any manufacturing departments

Minpunten:

The learning curve is rather steep. You would need someone's active help to understand how it is used for your own company's needs.

Arena,

Opmerkingen: Support folks are good, software is stable and will allow us to present to auditors what we do and how we do it.

Pluspunten:

Integration was a bit time consuming and that is on me; should have started with initial intent (Quality process's) and then moved to items- which we finally have a grasp of.

Minpunten:

User interface still is a hang up as we on board / cross train new folks

Ease to use the software

Pluspunten:

Visibility on key information that we need and ease in the set up of new account for access . Turn around time is short and approval process is easy to manage

Minpunten:

No historical record on pricing and Arena pricing could only keep the price of one source , does not allow weighted cost for dual or multiple sources .

Easy to use cloud-based PLM system provides a stable and reliable source for controlled data

Opmerkingen: Reliable PLM controls

Pluspunten:

Mature software with many quick views and links to related information. Easy to train users, intuitive interface

Minpunten:

Report writer is old and awkward and needs overhaul. Inability to provide searches/filters/reports based on stage of route for change orders.

Functional PLM Tool

Pluspunten:

Arena has all the functions I need for our PLM.

Minpunten:

Some of the functions are not as straight forward. Some learnings are needed.

Arena can handle it all!

Pluspunten:

Arena is the central hub of document control within our company. It is easy to search for documents and changes.

Minpunten:

The UI has lots of small text and empty space

User friendly

Pluspunten:

Very easy to use and implement in the manufacturing environment.

Minpunten:

The interface could have been more intelligent.

Arena PLM Review

Opmerkingen: It has been a good one, their support team responds in a timely manner and takes action to address issues.

Pluspunten:

I like how user friendly is their application. Very easy to navigate and configure different settings. It has useful tabs/fields which can be all very customizable.

Minpunten:

Some fields limitations and customizations, like defining minimum/maximum number of characters for each field.
