Online project planning and management is efficiently done by Celoxis !

Opmerkingen: It is wonderful till date. My project team is absolutely delighted about the working on this software as it has brought efficiency and greater visibility to the project management process. It has lead to the increased and most optimized workflow process and brings automation at each and every level. Now my team is collaborating better on managing the project intricacies as the working on this tool is super easy and quite effortless.

Pluspunten:

Celoxis is most powerful and flexible tool for project planning and creation in most effortless and simplified manner. It is one of the leading tool for project planning and aligning the process flow in seamless way without any difficulty. The software automates the complete project management activity end to end and provides comprehensive report and visibility for every progress at each stage of project running. The software works efficiently in all sorts of business environment.

Minpunten:

No issues seen at my level till date. Celoxis should work more and more on the compatibility features

Much Better Than the Popular Project Managment Software

Opmerkingen: Great customer support. Really great product for a small consulting business.

Pluspunten:

The structure of the system is logical. The reports are flexible and powerful. The ability to develop custom field and custom workflows is fantastic - we were able to build our financial management system for our small company in Celoxis using the custom workflows and fields. The best part is that it integrates multiple functions so you don't have to buy a bunch of different software - project and resource management, invoicing, expenses, and time tracking all in one. It has contact management too, but we haven't started using that yet.

Minpunten:

It's not "flashy" or "sexy" like Asana or Monday. I actually prefer that - but it made it a bit of harder sell to the users because they had never heard of Celoxis and it's not as visually driven. It's more about data and information, but you can use reports, apply colors, etc. to generate visual views. The worst part is that if you delete an object by accident it's gone forever - there is no undo feature (except for you can recover a deleted project). Also the built-in expense module is mediocre, but we built our own with the custom app feature so it's fine.

Minpunten:

There are a lot of small bugs that go unnoticed until it's critical. An example would be that when you schedule an event on the work calendar like a Company Holiday, the event doesn't show up on the day that you scheduled the event for (i.e. Company Holiday scheduled for 12/23/2022, but the event is displayed on 12/22/2022 on the calendar) and this causes confusion for everyone.

Effective and flexible Project Management Tool!

It's also our central platform for the tracking of project delivery progress, project health and team allocation."

A great full-featured project management tool

Pluspunten:

Celoxis checks all the boxes for engineering project management for me. Prior to Celoxis, we used Microsoft Project: Celoxis incorporates the advanced features of Project in cloud-based tool that provides team collaboration and scheduling that we could not get with Project or most other cloud-based scheduling tools.

Minpunten:

With great options can come a great (big) learning curve: there are so many features in Celoxis, setting up individuals, teams, groups, and roles is critical for a successful launch, and this can be a bit daunting at first glance. However, the Celoxis team did a great job pre-sales of walking us through the tool and it's features, as well as scheduling training for our team post-sales to get up and running in the tool.

Easy Project Management

Pluspunten:

- ease of use - feature rich for project management - external users and client login option for client view - integrations with salesforce and rest api for other apps if required - integrated time entry and approval - single-sign-on capability with various IDP's

Minpunten:

- mobility options are limited - client cannot be assigned tasks in the Project

Great software for project oriented firms that invoice for services

Opmerkingen: Very positive. We are just rolling it out now to all our staff, and we're really looking forward to gaining the real benefits.

Pluspunten:

Celoxis is a powerful project management software that is replacing MS Project in our organization, allowing us to get a portfolio view of many projects managed by multiple PMs. But best of all, our resources can enter their timesheets within Celoxis. This allows us to eliminate one piece of software and run analytics to learn about our performance and drive improvements.

Minpunten:

It was tricky to setup. We needed the help of Celoxis to get the roles and access permissions setup correctly. The help guide was not comprehensive enough in this area to do it yourself.

CELOXIS review from an Ops Director

Opmerkingen: Very happy, its constant new features allow to evolve its configuration until it meets our exact and detailed expectations as a company.

Pluspunten:

the Open a Ticket feature: - always respond really quickly - sometimes even implementing recommendations when asking in an open ticket

Minpunten:

the implementation. the matching between workspaces + job roles + permissions is not easy. even though the workspaces are really interesting and usefull, it is kind of difficult to get the right configuration.

Consolidated Project management for Consulting and Solutions firm

Opmerkingen: It is very good, from my [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] perspective and PMO, it is fantastic to have the whole information of our projects online and with consolidated resources reports and the Gantt is very nice, much better than Microsoft Project.

Pluspunten:

Easy of use of the Gantt and Work Load, even if some other things are not really UX friendly or intuitive...

Minpunten:

Sometimes is not clear how to perform some tasks, Customer service is very straight and I feel they do not listen to the customer needs on specific issues, then they reply very plain.

Celoxis the new traditional and alternative flexible system for project management

Opmerkingen: It has added a high level of value from project team communication, reduce time for document and information access. One place for Every team member to speak from.

Pluspunten:

You can manage projects, tasks, resources, risks, issues and collaboration from one solution with client who don't need to have licenses or desktop software installed. The platform reporting tools with pre built project matrix report is a thumb up for this package. What I love the most is the project tracking board.

Minpunten:

While the web application is mobile responsive , a mobile app is desired.

Avid Fan

Pluspunten:

The power and customization behind it - adding new data fields, customizing the implementation, they have thought of everything. I am almost spoiled by thinking things are so customized and wanting to control everything!

Minpunten:

I think the QB sync could be more robust to help align revenue in both places.

Easy to use and feature rich.

Opmerkingen: Since implementing it has been met with great success, any questions are easily solved by the excellent support desk.

Pluspunten:

Celoxis allows us to have a portfolio view across our business covering all active work streams and when they are scheduled. We track risks and issues along with all key project information to provide a full management information dashboard.

Minpunten:

The purchasing of new licenses is a little difficult.

Not the most user friendly

Opmerkingen: Takes a lot of time to record progress and to set up tasks. We have to log time for setting up Celoxis tasks as it eats into billable hours.

Pluspunten:

You can track the percentage of progress with your project.

Minpunten:

For projects its difficult to see how much time has been recorded over a period of time. It is not straight forward to set up a task . It is trying to be everything but master of nothing.

Comprehensive product but some shortfalls in the detail of the features

Opmerkingen: Celoxis has helped our business to bring the different business processes together into a single platform. It is central to our business and we are managing all billable projects through it. We wouldn't go back to what we had before, so overall our experience has been positive. If Celoxis continues to evolve and add features, it is likely we will remain on the platform for a long time. However, as our business grows we may end up outgrowing Celoxis.

Pluspunten:

For our business, we are able to run our end-to-end project lifecycle in Celoxis which we have struggled to find in any other product. This means bringing together quoting for a Professional Services project, progressing that same quote into a live project, having resource management and financial management views on the same project, generating financial forecasts across our projects and resources through reports, and managing other project management aspects such as RAID logs and status reports directly in the Project. Our team manage their holidays and timesheet recording in Celoxis which drives our actuals and invoicing. So it covers the project lifecycle well.

Minpunten:

We've encountered some shortfalls in the details of the features. The resource scheduling which drives the financial forecasting is the shortfall that causes us the most rework or workarounds. The system does incorporate resource availability (available hours=working hours minus holidays/other absences) into the planning and timesheet recording, and it does warn you about resource scheduling conflicts across projects. The issue is that the resource management and financial forecasting being driven from the plan does not take into account actuals to show remaining effort and lost revenue. This requires some workarounds to achieve. The project baselining functionality is also really limited. There is no ability to undo actions on a plan. The audit log is helpful, but would be more helpful if you can actually step back through the changes made because the updates to plan always takes a few iterations.The fact that the product doesn't support multi-currency is really frustrating, although we've settled with our workarounds.

Switching over from Microsoft Project to Celoxis

Opmerkingen: Mostly positive - I wouldn't want to go back to MS Project. But some annoying cons as desribed above. Critical Path not working really hurts

Pluspunten:

I felt Celoxis was quite easy to get started with - it certainly is simpler than other products such as MS Project which is a huge benefit to me since I personally found MS Project too complicated and I never used most of the functions. I can't think of anything I needed which MS Project could do that Celoxis cannot

Minpunten:

By far the biggest issue is that the Critical Path feature doesn't work properly. We've managed to get it working on a small number of occasions and then a simple change broke it. Using the Help Desk has not resolved this so we guess it just simply doesn't work well - never had any issues in MS Project. The Autosave feature and the 4-6s latency behind it meant it was unusable (every single change would cause it to be inoked). Turning it off solved the problem but then you are at risk of losing changes if you don't remember to save or your browser crashes (as happened to be once). Also, it seems almost impossible to reliably have 2 people make changes to the project at the same time without the risk of massive issues.

Excellent in many, many ways although with some shortcomings

Opmerkingen: Celoxis is a great PMS, without any doubt. I like that they keep the lists and reports simple but powerful. It is nimble because it uses text rather than too much of graphics effects etc. You can generate a wide variety of reports. Comes with free client portals which my clients love. It has a very powerful feature where you can define your own app with it's own workflow, custom fields etc. It has a trigger mechanism as well to change states of apps when responses are received, which is very, very useful. I have created as many as 8 apps for incoming opportunities, defining a request tracker system, payments, contracts etc. etc. That is extremely useful to organize everything around a Project. It has shortcomings in communications area like not having an email editor at all and you can write (through commenting) to only one client (one person) from within the app etc. You get all this for a very low price unlike Salesforce etc., that's a deal!

Fast, customizable, no-nonsense interface, wide variety of reports, custom apps

Minpunten:

Weak in communication tools, does not have an email editor, only notifications can be sent out through commenting in apps, can't attach files to those or send to multiple client officials. Discussions at Project level allow those but not at app level.

Great PM tool especially for digital projects

Pluspunten:

As well as the standard ability to plan project, Celoxis allows you to bug track, resource plan, and create a wealth of reports. Not only that but you have unlimited client access for clientst to be able to log and view their own bugs as well as track the progress of their project, granting specific permissions and allowing full transparency. I also like the ability to customise reports and fields, import project and export reports in csv, pdf and msproject formats. The support team are incredibly responsive in addition to the articles and forums within the help centre. On a daily basis I use it to plan projects, allocating estimated hours per task, check progress of a project, check the resource availability, and calculate risks.

Minpunten:

With each release improvements are made, but whenever there is a release the system can be a little buggy, but is usually resolved very quickly and tickets are dealt with promptly.

It is fairly easy to understand and use.

Minpunten:

You do not have much control over the views you can create. That is to say, there was information I wanted to add to a view that I couldn't, or I couldn't organize a report in a manner I wanted to.

Celoxis - A customized and organized view of projects and details that matter to you!

Opmerkingen: The highly customized dashboard with different views are great. There is various data you can add to to your dashboard, projects, reports etc. to tailor your view to what matters most to you. Time tracking is very simple as well. It would be great if the time sheet automatically saved like everything else on the platform. It is a bit annoying when you track your time for the day, edit one field and then it deletes all of your content because you didn't save it before editing.

The interface. The design could be nicer, it's a bit overwhelming at times. Also, bug/ issue tracking is not the greatest. It would be nice if it worked more like Jira or if the platform could connect with Jira.

Great Project Management Tool

Opmerkingen: We have used Celoxis for nearly 6 years and it has continued to be improved and polished. We use it for primarily for project management, time-tracking, expense tracking, and some of our workflow processes. Celoxis personnel have always been very good about helping through upgrades and other technical questions. While there is a little bit of a learning curve, I would highly recommend this tool as a lower cost, yet fuller featured product in comparison to Microsoft Project, which still seems to be tool of choice for most PM's.

Pluspunten:

Web based tool, Gantt Charting feature, custom workflow creation, scales well (we have a lot of projects in there).

Minpunten:

Can be a little laggy at times (we host our own server, so that could be part of it). Interface changes have been confusing at times. For the custom workflows, it would be better to have a graphical representation (i.e. flowchart format).

Am loving Celoxis

Opmerkingen: Have had a very positive experience with Celoxis although I am not too sure the notification feature works correctly. I cannot rely on it so I must go in and check to ensure nothing has changed. Also we customized one of the screens and needed to use the notification feature, but are unable to do so. Other than that - this tool is AMAZING!!

Pluspunten:

Easily locate what you are looking for. Easily identify estimated/actual hours...I am not a project manager and do not use it to its fullest, but what I do use, I find it very user friendly and quite frankly not sure how we managed without Celoxis.

Minpunten:

As previously mentioned, the notification features does not work as it should

Easy-to-use and very affordable tool

teams are very agile and helpful. Easy-to-use dashboards and mobile interface truly add

Pluspunten:

Being in the healthcare industry, we are constantly looking for internal improvements to inspire healthy behaviors and improve overall healthcare management. Celoxis helps us with prioritizing our projects and activities, keeping a tight eye on progress in schedule, costs, risks and issues. It is very intuitive to use. Custom fields are tremendously useful in capturing different dimensions of information.

Minpunten:

Sometimes the application feels a bit old-fashioned and clunky and the timesheets could do with a bit of overhaul. Nothing too major in lacking.

An app would be appreciated

Pluspunten:

It is comprehensive, it definitely has potential but it needs to evolve more quickly. It feels clunky and outdated. It is not very visually appealing. It is so cumbersome to enter time sheets. Everyone hates doing their time sheets to begin with, it needs to be easy and fast to do.

Minpunten:

It is too complicated to do things quickly, when you enter time in the mobile version, it does not list the entries by project name, it lists them by task which is not helpful. I would like to see an app that has alerts to remind me to fill in my time sheets, machine learning / AI that knows better anticipates my needs, and communicates with me like an assistant. I would like to be able to enter my time sheets with voice command. I would like to produce project reports more easily, get warning pushed to me when I am over budget, etc.

Celoxis saved us a ton of time and helped us be more productive!!

Pluspunten:

Celoxis saves us a ton of time. It gives us an easy way to report information and helps us make better decisions about the projects and their budgets. Prior to using Celoxis, our reporting was a manual and time-consuming process. Reporting required our managers to explicitly reach out to team members and other stakeholders, gather information, then document it. There was no timely communication and we’ve had to always scramble to meet our ‘go-live’ schedules. Now that everything is standardized and real-time, our managers are easily on top of open issues and can see when projects risk slippage. We can create KPI reports and dashboards for our management to keep them up to-date on the progress.

Minpunten:

Their salesperson was a little slow to respond initially, but he was able to help me with a demo of the product and answer some of my initial queries about pricing and licensing. I felt the initial connect for a vendor was somehow missing, but with a fantastic tool that helped us achieve where we are today, I am certainly willing to discount that part for now.
