This ist simply the most versatile, powerful and allround solution you will find

5,0 4 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: Fantastic value for Money. I can do professional looking Video and Image Work for a fair fee. I can also buy stockmedia along the way for an absolutely fair amount of money. Creative claoud has mature tools for a professional auience and I can simply, only recommend it.

Pluspunten:

I have worked with the Adobe Products for 20+ years now. I used Photoshop and Adobe flash back as the Internet still ran on steampipes (so to say) and I was a Student. Later I trained other students when working as an Intern at the University, I also worked as aOperator in a Publicity Agency for a while with the Adobe Products. Today, in my solopreneur life I still use it and I must say, somehow Adobe managed to get things right. The Products are bundled in the creative Cloud now. You have the specific tools for what you need to do at hand and this is good because Adobe makes great tools which have matured into powerfull instruments. If you want to do things professionally use this.

Minpunten:

Well Adobe Tools are tools for professionals. This means there is a steep learningcurve and it is not easy. There are serval paradigms you need to understand in the Adobe Way of doing things. If you manage this, you have no issues, especially because these things are done along the same lines in every Adobe product. I could criticize, that the subscription type of approach to monetisation is done in a seductive way, but actually, I always had the feeling of - well it IS worth the money. And it is...just when you plan to interrupt your subscription be sure to think about it because you will not be remembered.

We use Abobe Creative Cloud every day and have only one complaint...

4,0 2 maanden geleden

Opmerkingen: The Adobe Creative Cloud is just one reliable product and having all their apps in one place for all our creative needs is key for us. It's extremely affordable and we have had no issues in about five or six years/ We would highly recommend using this platform.

Pluspunten:

Adobe Creative Cloud has become a must for our photographic and video editing company. We use it every day and it's critical that we can use their features across all devices really easily. It looks good, works really well and have had no issues over the last five or six years we've used it. This is one reliable product.

Minpunten:

The only feature that doesn't seem to work properly for us on the Adobe Creative Cloud is the RUSH mobile App. I suppose this might not come under the Abode Creative Cloud review but we've tried uninstalling it and downloading it (obviously through the Adobe Creative Cloud) and nothing seems to work. The issue is with the exporting feature within the app. It always leaves a green flickering line at the bottom, whether the video is old or new.

An expensive exercise in frustration

1,0 5 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: Adobe Creative Cloud provides the ultimate creative digital toolbox with tools that allow a relative ease of onboarding and a depth of complexity for professionals to grow into over time. Having one place to find, install, update and pay for such a broad Suite of professional products is a boon. User Interface deficiencies lead to frustration now and then but overall Adobe's product Suite provides a complete set of tools with professional depth and sophistication. Once you've grown used to Adobe's interface (that changes between tools within the suite, in places) you'll find an invaluable set of tools that enable a broad range of capabilities within the creative digital space at a sophisticated, professional level. Some may find the price to be high and in some cases where bugs persist throughout versions of a product I would agree but in general, the level of professional capability explains the high cost.

Pluspunten:

Moving Adobe's Suite online with Creative Cloud was a great and necessary move. Frequent updates and an easy central repository can be tremendously helpful - updates can be accessed and installed with ease and as you discover the need for other pieces of software, the install is a simple click away via the Creative Cloud app. Adobe's Suite is *expansive* and has a range of tools of great value to creative digital professionals. To have such a broad spectrum of capability available in one Suite of software tools makes for an invaluable toolbox. Being able to jump out of an edit in Premiere to make tricky edits to an audio file in Audition, adjust an image in Photoshop and bring it in to After Effects to apply FX in 3D space before taking it all back to your Premiere timeline allows for a very efficient workflow.

Minpunten:

The User Interface for Adobe Software is convoluted and frustrating to use. With each update Adobe will occasionally make minor interface changes for reasons that are hard to understand and, either way, increase frustation and decrease the ability to definitively get to grips with the software. Some bugs persist through multiple versions of Adobe's software which calls into question the high ongoing price for the products where old bugs seem to be glossed over with new features and new bugs crop up regularly, perhaps due to deficiencies in the core engine.

Pluspunten:

It's a complete solution for all design-related requirements. prom photos to videos and from pixel-based graphics to vector-based graphics. there is something for everyone to use.

Minpunten:

the price is high. All the features and benefits are going to be much much better if the price was slightly lower.

Adobe Creative Cloud is Extremely Convenient to Use

5,0 2 maanden geleden

Opmerkingen: I enjoy the seamless integration of use with all apps. I am not sure how I would function without using this application. I have used it for years and it has been second nature to use so it would be difficult for me not to utilize this application.

Pluspunten:

The fact that there are so many useful applications accessible with the monthly fee and I have not been able to use them all as much as the ones I use regularly. The applications all work so well with each other as well as other applications to which the work performed within this app can easily be shared.

Minpunten:

There are twenty or so apps that are accessible when you pay a higher monthly fee, with so many additional apps available, the downside is that if there is any additional app that you would like to use it will cost you an additional monthly fee that is not always feasible and the dollar amount is due after the other monthly fee when it should just become one charge per month instead of multiple charges. This does increase the monthly fee and most would seek another app that provides the same service for free in order to keep the price at a reasonably low dollar amount.

"A versatile piece of software for graphic designers"

5,0 2 maanden geleden

Opmerkingen: A large worldwide community uses InDesign, and Adobe updates it frequently. InDesign is an excellent programme for professionals because of the collaboration features and its extensive feature sets, which include the template & stock library. It is used by our teams to generate digital brochures and corporate magazines.

Pluspunten:

-InDesign gives us the ability to reuse material across several layouts. To reuse pages with varying size, it provides liquid layout.-PDF forms in InDesign are much improved. Before exporting the indd file as a PDF, we may precisely design the form fields.-InDesign also supports languages from the Middle East, including Arabic and Hebrew.

Minpunten:

-It takes a long time for an Adobe font to appear under the favourites filter in InDesign once we register it as a favourite.-InDesign takes up a lot of disc space.-It needs top-tier gear to run efficiently.-Rising subscription prices.-Learning curve for the product is steep.

Adobe Creative Cloud Review

5,0 2 maanden geleden

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is excellent every work I produce is being praise by everyone in my workplace. It is very easy to use, can be use anywhere, and can be use in mobile. You need to study the software but it is worth it.

Pluspunten:

What I like most with Adobe Creative Cloud is the photoshop for I can edit photos, make design, t-shirt design, and logos without sacrificing the quality of the content. Another pros is that they created an app that utilize mobile phone, thus I can edit anywhere around the world. I can edit in the airplane, cruise ship, or in the car while traveling. It makes life easier.

Minpunten:

The least I like is that it hard to understand some of the features of the software that I need 1-2 days to learn the software.

Great Service

5,0 2 maanden geleden

Opmerkingen: We have benefitted from many applications within the Creative Cloud, mostly Photoshop for daily editing. The deployment is very easy and the interface is attractive as well. Regular updates of the applications within it helps us to get up to date with new features as well.

Pluspunten:

The applications within the Creative Cloud are super useful. We mostly use Photoshop and Lightroom daily for photo editing and graphics designing. Ability to save your work in the cloud makes it easier to access anywhere. The ease to install plugins easily into your desired Adobe software is very easy and useful.

Minpunten:

Photoshop price could be reduced a little, other than that Adobe Creative Cloud is very useful.

Media and content projects for marketing

5,0 2 maanden geleden

Pluspunten:

When I need to create any sort of content for marketing purposes, it can always be done with Creative Cloud. Starting with printed materials, ending with editing footage for social media.

Minpunten:

The learning curve us quite steep, but once you get the hang of the basic idea and logic, you can use all software within the Creative Cloud as the UI is very similar.

The defacto creative toolkit

5,0 4 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: Our creative team can use a consistent suite of applications for all their work and temporary staff know they will find familiar software to work with when engaged with the agency. Whilst the apps are extremely comprehensive, they can be daunting for new users. Single applications can also be individually expensive to purchase.

Pluspunten:

- Flexibility to use most of the market-leading creative applications - The industry standard, all of our creatives and clients have the ability to view the files - The most powerful image editing and design software - Covers the ability to create print, web and mobile media within a single subscription - For an agency who uses most applications, this is great value for the subscription fee

Minpunten:

- Can seem a large monthly expense for an agency with a large team - To gain the value users need to regularly utilize multiple applications - Photoshop and Illustrator can be slow for web design, other more focused applications can be faster to design in the digital realm - There is a fairly steep learning curve to become a power user as the apps are very feature-rich

The cream of the crop

5,0 4 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: I like that you can download an entire suite of programs to handle graphics, photo editing, publications, vector images, and even video editing with Premiere Pro. I don't think I've even scratched the surface of all the capabilities and functions of the Adobe Creative Cloud.

Pluspunten:

The Adobe Creative Cloud is the Rolls Royce of graphic design and video editing software. It's also the most expensive, but you get what you pay for. I taught myself via the extensive library of tutorials that exist on YouTube. It took years of practice and lots of patience, but once you get the hang of the tools and capabilities, the options are only limited to your creativity.

Minpunten:

I don't like that the different programs within the suite have different shortcut functions. I wish they would standardize the keyboard shortcuts because when I switch back and forth between programs, I have to remember the shortcut keys for each program. For example, I'll be working on Illustrator, which uses ctrl+2 to lock a layer. Then I'll switch to InDesign and that uses ctrl+L to lock a layer. Also, I wish they would also offer the local software as opposed to strictly the subscription model. It's very expensive, especially for a solo practitioner.

Creative Cloud is Just Part of My Daily Workflow

5,0 4 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: Originally I had an older license for Just the standalone Photoshop and Media Encoder, which were included in a perpetual license of Adobe eLearning Suite. At first, when my business was getting started, it was painful to have to subscribe to the full Creative Cloud, but now that my business is doing well, I see the expense of Creative Cloud full of value and a necessary business expense I don't think twice about.

Pluspunten:

Like most users I don't use all the components of the software, however even only using Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat DC, Premiere Pro, Audition, Media Encoder and occasionally Adobe XD (less than half the apps) I still see the value as tremendous. Each application serves it's purpose extremely well and in almost all cases, the Creative Cloud apps represent the pinnacle of that applications marketplace.

Minpunten:

While I appreciate the continuous improvement of all the applications, I only discover an application has been updated when I go to use it. Often my customized setup of the application is reset back to factory settings which can be annoying when I need to just use the app and get back to the rest of my workflow.

ADOBE: So you want to be a designer?

5,0 4 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: Adobe CC has been a huge part of my life and reason why I can make a living. If you are considering purchasing Adobe CC for your organization, there are plans for you and your team depending on your needs. As a graphic designer, I use up to four programs daily (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Dreamweaver) and that is only a fraction of the toolbox provided by Adobe CC!

Pluspunten:

Adobe Creative Cloud is the most extensive package for creatives. Whether you're a graphic designer, motion graphics artist, illustrator, or pixel pushers, Adobe CC has something for you. I've been using Adobe products for over 10 years now and Adobe CC is something I'm using everyday in my work.

Minpunten:

Some of the newer programs do feel a little lacking. I do understand that Adobe is trying to branch out into several markets and part of the appeal of Adobe CC is that you can pay for one service or pay for all of them and have access to your programs in addition to any new industry standard software.

Absolutely Creative

5,0 3 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: Its a good product. It solves every business related problem I have. Everything creative under one roof, was a great idea

Pluspunten:

As a designer, I have to show my appreciation for this product. Its includes everything I will ever need for my business. I can read my PDFs, tweak my images, edit my videos, create illustrations and websites very easily. I especially love the import and export functions among the software's. The free cloud membership is absolutely perfect. I'm always a sucker for anything that includes extra storage.

Minpunten:

Would appreciate if more if the pricing was friendlier and consistent, it's always in the back of my mind that the price for this product will keep increasing. At least pick a price and stick with it. Also not many people know about this creative suite, unless they are in the same industry mine, conversation about it goes right over their heads.

Creativity, Collaboration, and Consistency

5,0 4 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: Overall ACC has only improved over the years since its creation. Coming from the massive software box days and CD's, it is so much easier to install the apps you need, keep them updated, learn, access stock utilities, browse ideas, and share ideas than ever before due to the ACC. Adobe continues to outdo themselves each and every year and I can't tell people enough about how great ACC is.

Pluspunten:

The Adobe Creative Cloud provides excellent opportunities for you to learn, add new fonts, search stock material to use in your projects. ACC allows you to connect to Behance to share your work, connect with other users, and gain ideas from the community that exists there on Behance. Another nice feature is that you can update all of your apps, and if your a full ACC user, try out some of the new programs that Adobe is always adding.

Minpunten:

Honestly, there isn't a whole lot that isn't to like about ACC. However, within each program, you have the availability to access the Adobe Stock materials that you can download and use within your projects. It would be nice to have the option to download a demo prior to purchasing to try within the project.

Unleashing Creativity (Adobe Creative Cloud)

5,0 7 maanden geleden

Opmerkingen: In My overall experience, it's a great tool to have I solved so many problems in my current and previous organizations, If you are taking it for personal use I recommend first learning that software, and trying those similar functions in other open-source websites online, then if you're making good use of it then go for it.

Pluspunten:

A comprehensive suite of software tools for creative professionals, Wide range of applications for various industries and creative fields, Seamless integration between different applications, Ability to share files between programs, Cloud-based storage and syncing for easy access and collaboration from anywhere with an internet connection, Regular software updates and new features added to the suite, Extensive community of users and resources for support and learning, Ability to customize settings and preferences for individual workflows, Cross-platform compatibility for both Mac and PC users, Option to purchase individual applications or the entire suite as a subscription service.

Minpunten:

The subscription-based pricing model can be costly for some, Internet connection is required for installation and updates, which may be a challenge for users with slow or unreliable internet, Certain features or tools may require high-end hardware or graphics cards, which can be expensive or impractical for some users, The size and complexity of some applications may make them difficult to learn, The version compatibility is also an issue.

Adobe is the Gold Standard and Creative Cloud Only Makes Things better

5,0 5 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: As the title states, Adobe is the "gold standard" as far as I'm concerned. Portrait Pro offers nice features as does OnOne. But I have made Adobe the foundation of my image adjustment work in photography and cannot see that changing anytime soon.

Pluspunten:

The horror that haunted photographers decades ago was that someone would blow the processing of the negatives and an entire wedding shoot would be destroyed. Thankfully, that never happened to me. Now the stress is over those little SD cards. Lose or trash those and it's all over once again. Hence, my favorite camera body has two cards in it. Then it gets to storage. Once the job is delivered to the client, most of our worries are over. But hard drives are not infallible. And all those adjustments you did in Lightroom and/or Photoshop would be lost with drive failure unless you paid a fortune to get some expert to recover them -- if possible. Adobe CC solves that problem for a very reasonable cost. Your images with your adjustments are stored in the cloud and your whole photo studio can get blown away in a tornado, and you still have all your work. It doesn't get much better than that. Of course you can rent space elsewhere in the cloud, but I like simplicity, and having one vendor for all of this suits my style very well. Needless to say, this review is written from the perspective of a photographer. No doubt the Creative Cloud will be just as useful to those using Illustrator to the degree I use Lightroom and Photoshop.

Minpunten:

Adobe Lightroom is currently available in two versions. Creative Cloud and Classic. Classic is what we learned on and has more features than the CC version. So if you use the CC version exclusively, you'll miss out on some desirable features. That said you can switch things around and get the job done. Nevertheless, it would be nice if Adobe would evaluate the most used features in Classic and add them to CC. I love the fact that my work while using CC is being uploaded to the cloud in real time and would like to see more Classic features incorporated into the CC version of Lightroom.

I'm on Creative Cloud Nine!

5,0 4 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: I am a photographer and digital designer, so Photoshop is my most used program. I have been wanting to branch out to use Illustrator, and was initially comprehensive about learning the new program. However, with the available tutorials that Adobe makes readily available, my hesitations to learn Illustrator have disappeared. No matter what I need to learn, what task I need to tackle, there is a video to help me along the way. A company that puts that much into making sure their users are comfortable with using their software ranks high on my list any day!

Pluspunten:

I was absolutely hesitant moving from the regular suite upgrades to having to pay a monthly subscription for the Adobe programs I use as a photography and digital designer. I put it off as long as possible, because if it's not broke, don't fix it. At least, that WAS my mentality. After my initial few months of the cloud subscription, I was in complete awe. Instead of having to wait a year or eighteen months for upgrades to programs I used, whether it was the tiniest tweak, or adding a new feature all together, I got it immediately. I got it when Adobe was ready to put it out, instead of having to wait. What this means is that Adobe can continue to improve their programs to be more intuitive, include larger samples for selections, and be more specific when selecting, without you having to wait. When an update has been made, BOOM! It's available. And I absolutely LOVE this feature! Well worth switching from the annual upgrades to the monthly subscription platform.

Minpunten:

There is nothing that I don't like about the Adobe Creative Cloud! Even if you have never used this software before, Adobe has a plethora of videos available to walk you through whatever aspect of design you are working on. From the most basic tasks, to the more time consuming tasks. They truly make it easy to maintain professional grade work with constantly up-to-date software.

All The Tools You Need to be Successful

5,0 9 maanden geleden

Opmerkingen: I love Creative Cloud. Because I have access to such strong tools and am only constrained by my own creativity and skill level in using them, Adobe always excites me.

Pluspunten:

I absolutely adore Creative Cloud. It offers a wide range of products to meet all of your media production needs, including video editing, marketing, promotional videos, and anything else you can imagine, as well as flyers, websites, commercial ads, and Facebook promotions. Photoshop is my favorite and is where I spend HOURS every other week! On Photoshop, however I can also use Lightroom if I need to brighten or darken a particular area of a picture. Like how you can alter a shirt's hue to fit a person's eye color. You can also work on a portion of a picture in one program, export it to another to finish the project, like I did when I started something in Photoshop and moved it to Ai. I educated myself using the vast collection of tutorials available on YouTube. The alternatives are only limited by your imagination after you get the hang of the tools and capabilities, which required years of experience and a lot of patience. The lasso tool is incredibly useful for picking out intricate shapes and pictures from a photo to place on a simple or unique background. If you're a professional designer, Photoshop is still the only truly outstanding alternative. It is the best available. When working with type, Illustrator excels, and I adore using the art boards to have a variety of designs at my disposal all at once.

Minpunten:

In-Design is the only product in the creative cloud that I haven't really loved that much; I occasionally find it to be pretty challenging to utilize. But that's simply what I think. Really, there aren't too many aspects about Creative Cloud that I dislike. It essentially does everything. If you only intend to use a few apps, it is somewhat pricey. It takes some getting used to and is undoubtedly not one of the simpler apps to use. Photoshop editing can occasionally be challenging for new users. Since many of the functions are special and difficult to understand, watching tutorials will be quite helpful when starting started. The program uses a lot of RAM on my PC to run. My laptop had trouble with it, which was a little disappointing.

Creative Cloud is the continued evolution of Adobe, and is indespensible for creatives.

5,0 6 jaar geleden

Pluspunten:

I've been using Photoshop and Lightroom for 10+ years, and they get incrementally better with each iteration. I can't speak to the other parts of the cloud. It's a bit like asking a photographer, do you like using a camera. What I do is absolutely not possible without photoshop/lightroom/bridge CC. My everyday workflow now is for a non-profit hospital setting, working with as few pictures as possible. So I actually open pictures straight from a CF card into camera raw, open in photoshop, make edits and save to my desktop which syncs to icloud. I'll later back up to external drives. My wedding/portrait workflow is the exact opposite - I'll download from the CF card to an external drive, load into Lightroom, create a quick collection, batch edit the collection and export. Then I'll go through using Bridge and Photoshop to make detailed edits.

Minpunten:

To not like Adobe CC would be akin to not liking your hand or foot. It's such a part of life it's impossible to imagine working without it. That said, there are some tweaks specific to my workflow I would make. . .if I could use the previous setting from one picture to the next in camera raw, that would be great. Photoshop itself has a huge learning curve, which I get around by using actions. It is a little bizarre that we have to buy actions and presets from third party sellers. NIK (now owned by google) Color Effects Pro/silver effects pro is the only thing that I've touched that blows photoshop out of the water in terms of editing capability. But it is so tedious and cumbersome, I couldn't imagine using it as a stand-alone

Why I cancelled my Adobe CC subscription

4,0 4 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: My experience with the Adobe CC payment plan was very poor. Upfront payments for single packages are no longer available with Adobe. You have to sign up for yearly subscriptions for a suit of packages. The yearly subscription auto renews with no prior warning. There is no-where on your personal account page where you can request an alert to be sent, before payments are due to be taken out. When I tried to cancel a yearly auto renewal (several days after the payment was removed from my account) I was told this was not possible. In order to cancel my subscription and get a refund I had to contact their help desk and literally, threaten them with lawyers. I subsequently found a major American consumer complaints website and lodged my experiences with Adobe. There was a long list of similar stories and complaints by other people. My opinion of Adobe CC is a that their payment plan is restrictive, secretive and very user unfriendly. In today's world of customer friendly products, Adobe CC stands out as old fashion and frankly unacceptable. I have since moved on to the Affinity suit and couldn't be happier. One-off up-front payments, high quality software and great customer service. Frankly I think Adobe is a dinosaur. Large studios who don't care about payment plans are a thing of the past. The majority of creative work is currently being done by individuals working in the 'gig economy'.

Pluspunten:

This is very high quality software that offers a vast range of functionality. It is stable, efficiently constructed and updated continuously. Extensive education is available (via a paid Linda.com subscription). The different packages (photoshop, premier pro, audition) all integrate reasonably well. I would imagine that it's equivalent to any of the software packages currently used by professionals working at the top level of the graphics and animation industry.

Minpunten:

This is very high end software, that offers a vast array of options. The average blogger or photography enthusiast will only (in my opinion) only use a small range of the functions available. Be aware, the more functionality any software has, the longer it takes to learn how to use it. I found creating a short movie clip for my website draining and unnecessarily complex. The same experience held with photoshop. While the range of features that Adobe CC offers is astonishing, the time it took me to understand how to use them, was frankly not worth the results.

Lots of Great Functions

5,0 3 jaar geleden

Opmerkingen: It is very functional. Many apps to choose from. I realized that the apps are very specific, so if I'm working on a photo or design, I could choose between more than one app for the task. Deciding which app to choose was always dependent on the direction that I needed to go with my design. I was impressed with the quality of the software. Hardly had any glitches.

Pluspunten:

The software was very functional with over 20 different apps. This made tasks easier to complete through specific programs. I mostly used the Photoshop and Audition program. Photoshop has many great features for creating designs for my business. The quality was amazing and the more I used it, the smoother the process. It really sparked creativity with the features of lighting, colors, cropping the background from the image and adding your own, and was easy to use with green or white screen. They give a discount if you are a student to make it more affordable. For the vast variety of apps included, the price is worth it if you are in fact using them. My partner loved the In design app for making Ebooks. He found it very useful. The Audition program is very easy and exciting to use. You can record demos, songs, voice overs and much more. The sound quality (which is normally impacted by your input source as well) is very good. The mixing program that is built into the software does a great job with the auto mix features. It also has capabilities for getting rid of background noise which is a huge deal if your not recording in a professional studio. Easy to collaborate with others and lots of storage space for your work.

Minpunten:

It's rather on the expensive side if you only plan on using a few apps. It is definitely not one of the easiest programs to use and does take some getting used to. Editing in Photoshop can sometimes be difficult for beginners. A lot of the features are unique and are not self-explanatory so watching tutorials will help out a lot with getting started. Takes a lot of RAM to run the program on my desktop. It did not work well on my laptop which was a bit disappointing.

It's the Industry Standard for a reason, but for how long?

Pluspunten:

I have loved the Adobe suite since I first started using it back when I started in design with CS2, made my first purchase of the CS5 design suite in high school and Lightroom while in university, and now the CC at work. It's always growing with the demands of the industry and creating new features that assist designers and expand the possibilities. It now has easy tutorials included for new features that are visual more them verbal and easy to understand. The programs all integrate seamlessly together and makes it a joy to work with the software all day.

Minpunten:

There is one flaw in the Illustrator software that is very specific to what I do on a daily basis that most people don't, that I wish would get created. A quick button that would create cut lines and apply bleeds. I specifically am in the sign and vehicle graphics industry and have an old (1990's/Early2000's) software that with a click of a button can recognize what image area is selected, apply cut lines and create the bleed needed for safety when cutting (multicoloured too). I always have to import my graphics from AI to this software to efficiently do this process, but sometime the colours just don't convey well and I'm left to spend an hour or more getting it done in Illustrator. I also wasn't a supporter of the creative cloud subscription. I use it every day at work, but as a student and start-up owner as they transitioned to the CC format, the costs of that bill every month was difficult to justify since I had just spent a large amount on the CS5 edition on a while earlier that I started to explore other software options. It is completely worth the regular investment if your business relies on it for hours a day because it already holds the title for industry standard, but if your looking for something for only occasional use, It may be worth shopping around first.

I'm Addicted

Opmerkingen: All in all, I love me some Adobe; yes, we have a complicated relationship, but I'm in too deep to save those fiftyish dollars per month. Can I reproduce the same effects with other programs and apps? Sure. Am I willing to try living that way?
Never ever ever!

Pluspunten:

I first met Photoshop and Illustrator as a graphic design student in the late 90s. Since then, the features and possibilities have only gotten more ground-breaking--and addictive. As a fashion photographer, I had quite a field day with the liquify feature and colour-altering tools. As a documentary filmmaker, I was trained in all of the biggest programs, but still prefer Premiere to any other. As a musician, I prefer Audition to almost any other program (Garageband is kinda fun, but don't tell anyone I said that). The experimental or "Adobe obviously bought out a smaller company" type titles are fun to mess with and might prove to be solid members of my artistic arsenal at some point.

Minpunten:

1. Frankly, I am beyond-livid that the software that I once paid thousands of dollars for (gladly) has gone to a subscription model. I don't like verifying my identity, having to sign in every five minutes, having to be online half the time lest the program freaks out and sends me frantic messages. I don't like the fact that the cloud slows down the processing speed and sometimes makes everything freeze, requiring restart. In fact, the subscription model for a collection of software programs that haven't broken new ground in a decade is beyond-insane--especially since hundreds of other apps *also* have the ability to change colours and make one look thinner and add text and edit video, etc. --some of them for free, others for a pittance. The thing is, I've gone from being an art student to a fashion photographer to a college professor to a retired professor who fell back in love with the artistic life. Ergo, I can't live without Photoshop et al. Which means that even though it's insane of Adobe to arrogantly charge so much for their ancient laurel-restingness product, my level of sanity matches theirs, for I've faithfully paid the subscription price since they switched over. 2. A more-vexing issue I have is the inability to make the interface and menus etc. bigger. I can barely see it when I'm two feet away from the PC, and I'm usually twice as far away from it (bad back). Changing resolution didn't help. I still pay my sub, but I use Adobe products way less these days. :/
