New streets not yet mapped in a new subdivision is a bit difficult to map an exact location for the GPS violation software.

Hard to edit tablets in the soft system. Wish you could do it instead of having to add a whole new one

They're an absolute nightmare to deal with - I closed on an apartment in Oct 2022 (It's now Sept 2023) and instead of creating a new account they co-mingled my account with the prior [sensitive content hidden] who was deceased. They kept trying to debit from his account resulting in late fees and ton of other issues. It took months to stop the auto debit, primarily because no one on Sharma’s (acquired by Enumerate) team could be bothered to call back despite multiple attempts to contact them, both by myself and my building’s management office. My account is still comingled with the prior [sensitive content hidden], the firm's namesake, absolutely refuses to speak with me, despite multiple attempts to schedule a phone call. Shamra also will not send me a full accounting from when I closed to the current date, I have asked for this multiple times. I have no idea why. DO NOT USE THEM

This company does not care about customer service. I signed up with them, gave them an estimated number of doors, and began the onboarding process. Just 6 days after my first meeting with my onboarding specialist I learned this product and this team would not work with my firm. I immediately let them know that due to their incompetence and lack of knowledge about their own product, I wanted to terminate. I submitted this in writing and offered to pay the set-up fee even though they had done NOTHING thus far. They sent me to upper management who made more promises that they did not keep and then sent me the buyout/termination agreement. Y'all they are asking for $67,000 to terminate! I am at a loss of words and will be contacting an attorney.
Terrible company

we never even entered one transaction. Sadly we changed management companies and they have their own software I went to cancel after paying set up fees ( around $2,000) to find out I am bound to a 3 year contract no exceptions. I will make sure that EVERYONE ( and I am very active in the Condo Community) knows how they do business. I understand a penalty but 36 month payment, is extreme BUYER BEWARE
They tried to reinvent the wheel, but FAILED!!
Opmerkingen: Terrible. From the minute we transferred data from Tops Pro to Tops One, there was issues. We were told it would only take a few hours to transfer the data. Imagine our dismay when it took a MONTH for data to transfer over. Yes, a month, you read that right. We were promised all this "training" on this new product. No training. Even the "videos" don't answer your questions. And then when the employees call you to help you, they have an attitude like we are bothering them. We currently don't have a representative with the company. She left the company over 6 months ago, and to our knowledge, hasn't been replaced. Our concerns are NEVER addressed. "Your issues have been escalated to development" and no fix is ever made. We truly feel like they tried to reinvent the wheel when they had a product that worked well and just needed some upgrades. Also, we feel like the people who developed Tops One do not work in the industry. We wish we would have gone to another company and now stuck in a 5 year contract paying $1000.00 per month for a program that does not work.
Pluspunten:
I do like that you can access it from anywhere from any device. And the speed of accessing the database is much faster than Tops Pro. We "upgraded" from their old software to this program. I also like the email functions. Its aesthetic look it much nicer than TopsPro. But that has really nothing to do with it's functionality.
Minpunten:
I am comparing all my experiences with a software this company made. So its not comparing apples to oranges. Let me also state that I have been using Tops' Products for over 14 years and have a vast experience with it. Almost every module is not user friendly at all. To do any task in Enumerate Central (formally Tops One) you have more steps or clicks. The template module for letters are a nightmare. The report function is a joke. We can't even print a budget summary. I literally have to export the budget to excel and modify it. CCR reports, we will be waiting a lifetime for that to populate. Now, the email function is sending violation letter to previous [sensitive content hidden], and previous previous [sensitive content hidden], who knows whenever that will be fixed. The system with kick you out if you get distracted for a minute with a [sensitive content hidden]. Better hope you saved your work before you got distracted because it will all be gone when you log back in. In bank reconciliation you constantly have to save your work, nothing, I mean nothing autosaves. I have had to start bank reconciliations all the way over because I didn't press the save button before I did an adjustment. Same thing for deposits. Hope you don't exit out of your web browser by mistake without hitting save first. Speaking of deposits, if you need to make adjustments to homeowner accounts while making deposits you will have to have a second browser window open to do so. I don't have enough characters for all of it's faults but you get the drift.
Digressing company

Their customer service platform is horrific, fundamental issues with integration, upper management not capable and doesn't care. They are falling behind in technology.
Review of Top (One)
Opmerkingen: Overall, it's a good software package. It's constantly growing and changing with updates. I hope to eventually see it exceed our expectations.
Pluspunten:
TOPS (One) is a very easy program to learn. I find it more user-friendly than TOPS Pro, its predecessor. The TOPS customer support is great at accepting feedback and correcting and editing issues that need to be updated or changed to fit the industry.
Minpunten:
The fact sheet is limited. It needs to be expanded and it lacks the capability to print it off. Also, once a homeowner's CCR is closed, it no longer shows on the homeowner's history page.
Don't Bother with this
Opmerkingen: Mike Hardy please get the issues with your first program corrected and don't sell your new one so fast. You made a lot of people unhappy.

The first program is easy to use and for someone who has a hard time learning something new. That's all I have to say!
Minpunten:
Something is always wrong with the program. A/R goes off all the time and have to fix financials. Always something wrong where you have to call support and call Trapps. They work off 2 servers. New TOPS One is a mess and they will sell you with the accounting being all wrong and more issues than the first program. They don't have the software down correctly, too busy, not the easiest to use, doesn't have everything you need because they are still working it all out. TOPS One started too fast and they aren't and still aren't ready. They shouldn't be selling it but they are worried more for money than anything. Do yourself a favor, go with another program.
TOPS [ONE} Overview
Opmerkingen: I am enjoying the ease and accessibility offered through the TOPS [ONE] program. It makes my workflow more quickly.
Pluspunten:
I like that I can secure the information I need to process our files in different formats. As we work with a property manager for several HOA communities, I have the ability to access crucial information for our legal processing for all communities in one program. I was able to easily navigate myself through the system and updated information is available daily for all communities.
Minpunten:
So far, there has been no downside. I tend to input too much information and am learning that the system is able to provide the information I am seeking with only 1 search criteria. It amazes me how quickly the sought information is at my fingertips.
TOPS One Worth the Effort - Paid off BIG Time!
Opmerkingen: Now that the pains of set up are over, we are all loving TOPS One. Since it is a new system they still have some bugs to work out; however, I have found the support team to be very responsive. Their enhancement program is nice, it allows you to recommend changes to upgrade the system to better suit your business needs. You will need to have a comprehensive plan in place, starting with the accounting transition and the patience to work through the transition. I learned a tremendous amount during this time and feel like I truly have a solid grasp on the accounting functions and reporting much better than beforehand.
Pluspunten:
Love having all property, accounting and resident information at my fingertips. Great for onsite managers. Provides real time reports and transparency of management operations to the board. Paying for itself double fold!
Minpunten:
Set up was far from painless. Would definitely recommend the TOPS One Support Team find a way to assist in the transition by providing a comprehensive preparation plan.
Opmerkingen: TOPS software is the worst association management software there is. If you call up with a system wide problem they will show you how to fix it in one community, and then tell you to do the rest. You can't reach anyone on the phone to complain about the techs either because their department is small. They will just pass you around from one tech to the next. Every time I have to call these guys, I grab the closest stress ball because I know I will be on the phone for at least 60 minutes. If you are considering this program, please be aware! They are not customer-service oriented! They will sell you their program and then your pretty much on your own. When the vendor history in each of your communities disappears because of an upgrade, don't expect much help. So far in 2013 I have had to call support over 35 times, not once did I enjoy the experience or leave a good review!

We pride ourselves on providing amazing customer service, so it is troubling to us when a customer feels like they are not being heard and treated with the care that they deserve. I know that you have spoken with our Technical Support Manager several times over the course of the past month, and it is my understanding that the technical issues you were experiencing at the time of this review have been worked out. We have also added code into the program to prevent any customers from experiencing this same issue in the future. We value your feedback (even negative!) because it brings to light areas where we can improve our service and support. We hope that we can re-earn your faith and trust in TOPS Support, and in TOPS as a company in general.
Opmerkingen: I purchased the TOPS system for the company that I started back in the beginning of 2011. I made this decision after 10 years in the industry and having used several different property management software programs. I chose TOPS because it was easy to use and being geared specifically to HOA's, it had all of the functions that were needed. Over the past years, TOPS has remained the backbone of our firm. We depend on it to maintain all of our community information in a central location. Upon purchase the team at Tops worked quickly to get me set up and provided ample training for use. I have also found that it is very easy for me to train new users that have been added to my team on the program. It offers a very simple and forthright menu system. Overall, I would certainly recommend TOPS to those searching for new management software. As with any software, you may find areas of the program that are not specifically suited for you. However I do not believe that any firm is going to find a program that meets 100% of their requirements/wishes unless it is custom-designed. On a final note, I would have to add that the technical support team is absolutely amazing. I have never received anything less than stellar service when I have had the need to call in. Any areas that I feel the software may be lacking to meet my personal desires is certainly made up by the service of their support department!
TOPS HOA management software
Opmerkingen: The integration from my previous software to TOPS went very well with their data conversion. The product is very easy to use and much easier to navigate to get to the function that you want than with my previous software, Asyst Data Group. I really like their violation letter tracking and generating module with the only negative being that you cannot print out just a list of homeowners that are at the fine and hearing stage. I love their work order module with the ability to track work orders by tenant. Entering and printing or emailing the work order is so easy. Being in California, I was worried about customer support from Florida but they have extended their support hours to cover the west coast. Negatives ..I wish the Expense GL printed on the vendor checks and that when you are entering invoices in the Accounts Payable module that there was a quick button to get to the payment history for the vendor you are entering an invoice for rather than having to go back to look up that vendor on a separate screen. The good news is that they are constantly listening to input from users and try to add functionality if enough users request changes. I can't say enough good things about them. They really have been a great help any time I need them!

Opmerkingen: I have been a Tops user since late 1999. Our organization is comprised of 16 Neighborhood Associations and a Master Association. Our organization is the property management for all 17 associations as they are all located within one Premier Country Club. I was forced to look for new software as the software that I was using became unavailable as the owner of the (one man) company suddenly past away. I was very happy with the software, but had no idea that most of the components were not written down. He was brilliant except he should have shared the information with someone else. Now, as I was researching for a new program, my main concern was to find an established company that was not a (one man) show. There were several excellent programs that I looked at, very impressive; however most of them were a (one man) show. I found several companies that were using Tops Software and I went to a couple of them to see Tops in action. It was very impressive and very stable. That is how I decided to pick Tops! I am now using Tops 4.0. In the beginning, Tops was quite easy to initiate. Tops came with a training package, which included a Tops Representative to help me with the set up. We, Tops and I, have had a long relationship now and I have no regrets. I am constantly learning the new upgrades and I am very happy that I made the right choice! Tops also offers excellent customer support! I never have to fear when I need assistance as the return call or online response is very quick! Thank you Tops Software!!
Not as user friendly as other programs

If you do not have a solid bookkeeping background this is not the program for you. Also, the technical support team takes days to address your problems
Horrific Experience -- BEWARE
Opmerkingen: Also be aware, that if your implementation doesn't work, they insist on keeping your implementation fees for their time. They even tried to blame me for not supplying data. I have emails to the contrary which I supplied to them. Still no refund for implementation. Horrible.

If you are lucky enough to be able to balance your accounts, be certain to look at your reports. You would think they would be correct, but they may not be. My accounts balanced but my reports showed an huge amount in million prepaid total for maintenance fees. That's only the beginning of the problems. I'm happy to provide more details.

Opmerkingen: We began using TOPS in September 2012 after reviewing and researching many other software options. TOPS is not only reasonably priced, but they offer many additional modules or services to increase productivity and efficiency. TOPS software is very user-friendly, robust, practical, detailed, and it is frequently updated to follow new legislation. They also have a terrific tech support team. Every call we have made resulted in a solution. The team is friendly, courteous, understanding, and compassionate. They do not belittle or shame us when we make a stupid mistake or call with a “dumb” question. TOPS software allows us to create violation letters, collection letters, architectural request forms, and much more directly from the software. The A/P portion allows for keeping copies of invoices directly in the vendor history instead of storing years worth of invoices in filing cabinets. We can store copies of recorded deeds directly in the owner’s record instead of scanning it into another system or holding paper copies. TOPS offers much more than just keeping standard AR/AP records. Since beginning with TOPS, we have been able to reduce our stored paper and practically eliminate our third party scanning system. I highly recommend the software to HOA/CID management companies.

Puts what you need to watch at the forefront... on the home screen. Work orders are placed at the front.
Minpunten:
The help options don't help much. I wish they had a better help option online or in the product instead of having to call.

Pluspunten:
It meets 95% of the needs for a HOA community, with many additional modules. Has a good owner data base. Good tech support. Great program for the cost. Vendor has been around for a long time.
Minpunten:
Does not work well with large communities that have a lot of data, reports take to long to process. Flex data fields are to cumbersome to get good reports. Custom reports is complicated, not user friendly.

Easy to use!
Pluspunten:
It's easy to use and has what we need in one software package and at our fingertips. We are able to save so much time compared to our last software. In the beginning, it seemed like we must be missing steps, because things just didn't take as long as they had in the past.
Minpunten:
I don't like the customer support. Aside from our problems with customer support and getting things corrected, the other least favorite aspect of TOPS is not being able to modify reports and financials like I would like to. I am used to having the ability to change things and that just isn't possible with TOPS. We were told before we purchased that they are working on modifications to where we can make some changes. I really hope that happens.
