FL STUDIO--A Great Starting Point for Rhythmic Composition, Arranging and Training

Opmerkingen: Fantastic. I don't use the software much anymore as my understanding of theory has improved drastically over my early uses of FL. But the time and money was well spent on this software.

Pluspunten:

SIMPLICITY!!!! This is a great starter app for developing musicians. It's also a great tool to teach MUSIC THEORY TIMING. The graphic layout easily teaches basic timing and beat break downs. Very quickly helping young musicians understand timing and note types. Also great for DJ Remixing applications

Minpunten:

Sometimes it became a little cumbersome to deal with alternate or less traditional timings.

Don't believe the Anti-FL Hype... Best DAW bar none!

Opmerkingen: Its the best. Simple to use, easy to integrate with audio interfaces/hardware and plays well with most all plugins and software. IMO, most music producers/composers/arrangers should find the workflow of FL studio is very efficient, with a robust set of tools built in and offering the ability to do just about anything your imagination wants to hear quickly and precisely. I think every musician should try this DAW out at some point because if your brain works like mine, it is nearly perfect.

Pluspunten:

Firstly, the workflow is flawless for my brain. As a user since Fruity Loops 3 (circa 2007) and an Audio Engineer & Electronic Music producer, I have used most popular DAWs and for my workflow, none have the suite of features FL does, are as easy to use, not CPU intensive, and (possibly one of the best features) the perpetual license upgrades with a single license purchase! That means no nickle and diming their customers with periodic paid upgrades and new versions to sink money into. Nope. You buy the one license, you get free upgrades for LIFE! Lets see Pro Tools do that...(hint: you won't)

Minpunten:

Not really any true cons from my perspective, it does what its supposed to do very well and is affordable. I suppose I would like more hardware offerings from the company, and the ability to set keyboard shortcuts for common commands would be a godsend but these are more feature requests than bugs/cons.

The king of music production (Fight Me)

The record feature has me a little mixed up but I get around it.

No after sale support, poor purchase

Maybe a great product but exceptionally poor support. I emailed them as my license key does not work. It was purchased and I was provided with a license key. Its been over a week and no reply so be aware, like me you might pay and never get what you paid for or any support post the sale. Its a big NO from me.

The Gateway to Audio Production. FL STUDIO

Opmerkingen: I have become a better producer ever since I've used FL Studio back in 2006, I have mastered my overall production skill set through this program.

Pluspunten:

I like the fact that the software supports vst plugin from most top vendors making the overall production experience more engaging. This is by far the most used DAW that aspiring producers use and is very easy to navigate.

Minpunten:

The software come with it's sound fonts and updates so I can not think of any cons that this software has.

FL Studio is not as strong in audio recording and editing relating to other DAWs like Pro Tools or Logic Pro. This can be a drawback for users who need robust multitrack recording capabilities.

Old meets new technology

Opmerkingen: Ive been using fruity loops since i was in Middle School back in the 90s. It produces a very high quality smooth music track a real professional dj would be proud of without the vinyl records.

Pluspunten:

FL Studio has been the best software for DJs wanting to mix music for over 20 years. It has all the features and settings you could ever want and the interface has nice graphics.

Minpunten:

Some of the more advanced settings are hard to find due to the amount of different options this program has. Well worth the time finding them.

Opmerkingen: Absolutely wonderful. Coming from the days of reel to reel, through the era of the porta series. My world completely opened up. Bringing music to the digital age and the amazing features that it has makes it one of the best if not the best Daw on the market.

Ease of use, there is a very minimal learning curve and any age can open it and begin making music immediately.

Minpunten:

Sometimes the program crashes but mainly when there is a beta release or you are quick to update the which seems like weekly updates. Gets tiring. Once a year is more than enough.

Best In Class

Opmerkingen: With a variety of full DAWs to choose from, and more music production software and apps releasing every day, FL Studio continues to stand out among it's compitition growing in popularity. The overall functionality and integration is impressive to say the least. Offering full mobile production apps for iOS, android, and windows, it's the only company to not only have mobile versions of itself, but also integrates with any system, beit hardware or software.

The overall features and functionality of FL Studio are the main reason for it's increasing popularity within the industry. It's especially growing in popularity with hip-hop producers.

Minpunten:

I have used several other products that were much easier to use without nearly as much learning curve in the beginning. Ironically enough, the best qualities of FL Studio is also the reason for it's negative qualities. Because there's so much to unpack and understand with it's multitudes of features and functionality it comes with a pretty big learning curve if you really want to utilize it's full potential.

Great Music Production

Pluspunten:

FL is one of the oldest music production tools I know. I have used FL Studio for the past 10 years and what I like most about the application is that it doesn't take much space on my Hard drive, it is easy to use, and it also gives room for you to do a complete production on a single app. That is, you can produce beats, record voice and perfectly mix on it. It also makes it possible for you to import wav and mp3 files.

Minpunten:

I will like it if FL tools like the Pitcher should be upgraded. Because most times, I will need to use extra pluggings in order to fine-tune someone's voice. If the instruments found in Sytrus can also be upgraded then it will be lovely.

I like that everything is easy to find in the program and it's easy to construct melodies and other loops.

Minpunten:

The only thing I dislike is that sometimes the audio is glitchy and scratchy.

Best Piano Roll Ever

Opmerkingen: I love using FL Studio. I tried to use other DAW, but FL Studio is more convenient. I recommend FL users learn mixing and mastering. Moreover, FL Studio is the best DAW to originate a new sound.

Pluspunten:

FL Studio has several unique features, but Piano Roll is the most liked feature. I have been using FL Studio since 2013 and produced kinds of music. I did not use any external MIDI. Just by using Piano Roll, I make many kinds of music. Therefore, any new user doesn't have to learn external musical equipment such as Piano and Guitar, Piano Roll is more than enough.

Minpunten:

The sound bank in FL Studio is good enough for professionals since they mix it and make it good. In contrast, beginners must look for better Plugins. However, the newer version of FL Studio has a better libraries.

Opmerkingen: I consider fl studio to be the best software because it does a good job of audio vocal editing and it also gives me great results it is not useless to learn but get a new skill and a new job.

Best DAW for newbie and professional music producers

Opmerkingen: I have no problems with this DAW so far. I was able to mix, master and produce high quality professional tracks and I am very pleased with that. It also works well with external plugins and VSTs. I love using it and I don't think I will ever stop using it.

Pluspunten:

Here are the features I love most about FL Studio:1. Drag & Drop Feature - makes work flow much faster2. Side-Chaining using Fruity Limiter - quick and easy to set up3. Snap-to-Grid - especially the highlights by the "Events" option makes it quicker to arrange your song patterns quicker without having to zoom in every time to check if your patterns are arrange properly. 4. Pre-computed Effects of the Sampler - Especially on percussion samples, it makes them punchier without having to add unnecessary compression plugins 5. De-Essing using Edison Audio EQ - Very helpful in de-Essing your raw vocals6. It has shortcut keys for almost all the functions in the DAW which makes it even faster to work and navigate in the DAW

I had only used Producer and Signature versions of FL Studio so here is what I least like about them:1. There is not much difference between Producer and Signature Bundle versions of FL Studio in terms of instruments and effects.2. Not all of them but most of the "Instruments Presets" are mediocre. Meaning after you load in an instrument preset, you will have to turn few nobs to get your sound to sound right first. And for new producers, it will be a little daunting.

My Number One DAW Software

Opmerkingen: Fl Studio has made my musical journey interesting and simple, it has got so many features and tools that you can use to explore your creativity in sound design with endless possibilities in what you can do, I use it to record vocals, instruments, and also design sound effects. I have never been this satisfied. It's the best DAW of all time. It helps me work faster and organize my projects so that I can easily navigate the program and allows me to customize my projects with color and icons so that I can visually see different parts of my projects with ease and without stressing.

Pluspunten:

FL Studio is my favorite DAW, I love the interface, and It's so easy to use. I have used FL for a decade now I don't think I will ever change to another. I have tried so many similar programs only Fl Studio stood out to be faster and more comfortable to work with. It supports countless third-party plugins that you download from other vendors which you can easily install and use in no time. FL Studio is easily integrated with other software and you can also use a mobile version that is available in popular app stores. It is very popular in many studio setups, it can be easily installed and comes with a bunch of stock plugins that can be used immediately after installation without having to download extra ones. Its supports many hardware devices such as mics, sound interfaces, midi controllers, input and output devices in a plug and play style.

It's not free but you can download a trial version which has limitations. If you are just starting out I recommend you start with a trial version. It took time for me to learn how to use it effectively, as a beginner I had to learn from experienced users because at that time I had no access to the internet and youtube as we do now. Learning how it works will help in getting the most out of this program.

If you're working at the MIDI level, look no further than FL Studio

Opmerkingen: FL Studio makes writing music incredibly fast and enjoyable. The core plugins are enough to get you started, and are of excellent quality (though you may find yourself still using 3rd party effects for reverbs and delays). However if you're a beginner, what it offers is more than enough, and you'll have no problem getting used to the software, even though all DAWs look pretty overwhelming at first.I had to write a review for FL Studio because it has given me so much and I wanted to give something back. If it wasn't for image-line I probably wouldn't be making music right now.

Pluspunten:

The biggest and best feature of FL Studio, in my opinion, is the piano roll. It makes working at the MIDI level a joy. So if you're more accustomed to using virtual instruments and moving notes around manually instead of recording, then you'll get some serious bang for your buck here. Other DAW users have been envious of my ability to pitch bend without the use of automation or drawing lines all over the pattern.If you don't own a MIDI controller, the piano roll wins again because it's just so easy to modify the notes and FL comes with the best virtual keyboard I've ever used. Select the scale you want and never play out of tune again. With FL 21 you can now even select the root note so it's not locked to C anymore.Another pro I need to mention is its small price tag. I picked my producer copy up for ~£150 during a Christmas sale. That's for lifetime free updates, too. Not only is it one of the most inexpensive DAWs, but they do have a few sales you should keep your eye out for if you're considering purchasing it.Then there's FLEX.. a preset based synthesizer. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] of FL Studio get access to a bunch of free packs, and the premium packs aren't that expensive either. I bought one for £15 inc. VAT. FLEX has really inspired me to a whole new level. The music just about writes itself. I couldn't believe it came with FL Studio for free.

I wasn't a huge fan of how patterns are separate from tracks. It's a bit of a weird concept to get your head around. It makes things a little more versatile, but it can also be quite confusing on larger projects if you don't assemble it correctly. You also need to make sure you have the correct instrument selected before laying down notes in the pattern. It's just something I don't like very much about the software. If the pros didn't outweigh this problem so much, I probably wouldn't have stuck with FL and recommended it.

Opmerkingen: I've been using FL studio for years now, i've also tried various other programs before FL, and in all honesty FL Studio has, is and will be the best. I really love the software and would recommend anyone to not look else where and just buy FL. It has made music making very easy, simple and enjoyable. The whole program works seamlessly and everything is right where its needed without having to navigate around too much.

1) The software already comes with pre-installed plugins 2) There is a variety of different other plugins to choose from. 3) The software is extremely flexible, meaning you can go from beginner to expert in the shortest time possible. 4) Beginners don't need to struggle because there is an abundance of tutorials on how to use the product. 5) The program has the functionality to connect a microphone and record your very own music in the comfort of you own home. 6) The program also comes with a sticky note type feature that allows you to either have a script or lyrics within the program without the need to write down anything on paper. 7) FL Studio is by far the leader in the music software industry, it has a stable community that makes it easier for beginners to get accustomed to the program.

1) The program is difficult to understand the first time if a new user doesn't have access to tutorials. 2) The program doesn't allow projects done on a higher version to be done on an older version. 3) Sometimes the program take too much CPU power and results in the program lagging.

Opmerkingen: Music production has been very easy using the FL studio. The stuck plugins are good enough to produce a good sound music if you can't afford the paid plugins.

It's very easy to start a new project and save project. All saved projects are located by the left side of the screen when you open FL studio. You can make beats and record your song when you want in the DAW. Do not turn off the fruity limiter on the master track. Everything has been set automatically to get the best sound from your sounds and music. It's very easy to use especially for new users.

Minpunten:

The stuck plugin de-esser is not as good as the paid plugin de-esser. It's still ok to use for those artist that doesn't have the 's' siblings too much in their vocals. All you need to do, is load up fruity maximus and select the de-esser narrow band preset.
