Opmerkingen: I use the free version of DaVinci Resolve mostly for editing social media and YouTube videos. I'm really satisfied so far but I wish it had some more pre-installed effects.

Pluspunten:

The free version is really generous and powerful. Also I really like the color grading system a lot.

Minpunten:

The interface has a steep learning Curve but if you watch a few tutorial you'll be comfortable with it. Also, sometimes it can be a bit slow when the project is too big.

DaVinci Resolve : Professional tools at zero cost

Opmerkingen: Davinci was my first ever video editing software in my laptop. In the beginning i struggled a bit to understand and learn the way editing worked in DaVinci but overall for a free software it provides features that no other video editing softwares give out. My most favorite part is where i can edit, enhance audio on the way I want which is a plus point since audio is a important part of my work

Pluspunten:

It provides all the necessary options to help a user make their video look as professional as possible and DaVinci is a free video editing software that not only allows professional video editing features , you can also enhance or play around with audio editing.

Minpunten:

Some of the transitions and effects that are basic are in the paid section .

Very fully featured, powerful and really great value for money. The full studio version is a one off cost without an ongoing subscription.

Minpunten:

Nothing to say against Resolve. It's just as good, if not better, than software costing many times as much.

Davinci Resolve Editing

Opmerkingen: Frustrating. This was an opportunity for DaVinci to do something special by combining Editing with heavy VFX, Color Grading, and Audio Mixing in the same comprehensive package.

Pluspunten:

It’s either free or inexpensive depending on which version you use. If you buy, It’s a one time purchase, not using the “subscription model,” which I feel is exploitive. The ability to do color grading, VFX, and sound mixing in the same program is convenient, but not central to editing.

Minpunten:

The basic editing functions, which should be very simple and intuitive, are unnecessarily convoluted and user hostile. Too many “modes” and keystrokes. A million things must be selected or de-selected to perform the most simple of functions. It really seems that either the editors who helped develop this program were amateurs, or ignored by programmers.

DAVINCI RESOLVE SOFTWARE REVIEW

Opmerkingen: I Downloaded it for the first time in 2022 and Before I install it, I was having difficulties of Systems crash and loss of works after editing, but once I Succesfully installed it now I don't have those Problems and everything is kept professional.

Pluspunten:

Davinci Resolve is Most Professional in Editing compared to others.

Minpunten:

It does not have plenty of Transitions or effects to accommodate New editors

Davinci is an in depth editing software for many budgets

Opmerkingen: Overall we as a team are delighted. This is as close you can get to professional video editing for free. For free it's just amazing what you can do. When compared to other software, which often doesn't allow you to render in 4K, which this does at no additional cost.

Pluspunten:

There is so much to like about DaVinci Resolve! I'm surprised daily as to the features and benefits to this software. The fact that it's free is incredible! Myself and partner create YouTube videos, and DaVinci Resolve has been fundamental to our development. Near on all the essential tools are included in the free version, with the premium features behind a paywall. But the free tools are more than enough for what we need, so we're yet to pay for this product. But we would if truth be known.

Minpunten:

I installed it temporarily on my MacBook Pro, as the windows machine I use normal wasn't to hand. Having used DaVinci for this brief period of time, I decided to remove it, as it takes up a lot of HD space. But even following the uninstall method provided within the software, it left a lot, and I mean a lot of stuff on my machine. Loads of files and folders and clutter. This was not good. In annoying me so much in fact that I did a fresh install of my MacOS. Be aware of this. Once installed it's impossible to remove without issue.

Resolve is great

Opmerkingen: Resolve has been an excellent software. No weird crashes, smooth playback with the system I have.

Pluspunten:

The stability of Resolve is why I switched to it. The Color Grading capabilities is 2nd to none.

I cant use my Red Giant plugins and that just sucks. It leaves the need for Adobe products.

Creative Alliance Review

Opmerkingen: We have been using Resolve since past 2 years and we find this is the ultimate software for video editing and post processing. Motion tracking is one of the key features that we like in this software.

Pluspunten:

We here at Creative Alliance use Davinci Resolve daily to edit our videos. We produce daily videos in our multiple YouTube Channels like REACTION RETREAT and occasionally in our another channel CREATIVE ALLIANCE MUSIC. Editing videos have never been this fun and wide variety of features make this software a must have!

Minpunten:

A small integration of post production capabilities like that of After Effects would make this software complete.

An Affordable Video Editing Software with Professional Features

Opmerkingen: A free software with mind blowing features that help any one edit, trim, resize and then export high quality videos in multiple formats. It does need nothing like training or courses except for previous knowledge on how to add photos, audios, animations; you feel like a movie maker!

Pluspunten:

Davinci Resolve offers a stunning dashboard that help both beginners and professional edit their videos at ease. Its rich audio library, baffling scenes and animations made it a stand alone free software.

Minpunten:

Of course, its built-in features and variety of functionalties, which are free, made it hard to load sometimes. It needs at least 64 bits and enough memory. Something else, few integrations or third party plugins.

DaVinci Resolve converted me from the Adobe CC

Opmerkingen: Resolve has just sped up my workflow and has also provided tools (the colour tab) to make my content look even better. I now only user Adobe for AE, but once Fusion is fleshed out a bit more, I can see myself spending the time to learn it and make the switch. For a more detailed breakdown of features, read that section of the review.

Pluspunten:

- It's speed and performance in comparison to the competition - Multiple application windows in the one application. Bouncing between areas is seamless - The colour correction and grading. Nuff said - The pricing. Production software like this IMO is a tool and not a service. I can't stand that if you stop paying for Adobe's CC, you get locked out from using the old tools that you've spent thousands on rather than just not being able to download future updates. Resolve's buy once and own for life is perfect, especially since you can also download almost the full program to use for free anyway

Minpunten:

I don't really have any complaints, other than sometimes I have technical issues and rendering is sometimes impossible without corrupted artefacts. I'm running a fairly old graphics card (980ti), and it can be really frustrating when certain updates and fixes are relegated only to the new card architecture.

The simplest yet most powerful professional video edition software

Opmerkingen: I came across DaVinci Resolve in early 2020, during the pandemic. As an amateur musician and video editor I was able to produce very decent videos in less than a couple of days using phone video takes. The vast offer of tutorials and effects make it very easy to create nice results with minimum effort. Still use it. I don't regret have made the switch from Adobe to Davinci.

The BEST VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE Money Can't Buy- IT'S FREE

Opmerkingen: Overall, I love it! It has everything a $0 film maker needs to put their creativity into fruition. It gives small filmmakers like us a tool that professionals still use and that has never happened before. Minus the major movie stars, we're almost on the same playing field now. I've edited videos on it for 3 years and I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon- if I do it will probably be to the full paid version Davinci Resolve Studio.

Pluspunten:

Firstly, it's free. It has everything anyone would ever need to make a film. From sound editing to colour correcting, all the tools it provides are professional and easy to use. Did I mention that it's free? Another great thing about the software is that it actually uses your GPU. I also particularly like its trimming tools as I find that there aren't many free video editing softwares that give you the ability to make such precise cuts on a video. This is especially useful if you're a video creator who HAS TO cut 'that scene' at just the right moment else the whole film is terrible. Yes, I'm that video creator. Visual playback isn't too shabby either- it does lag sometimes but a feature called optimized media reduces that. Lastly, the thing I probably like the most is the endless options for editing the actual video appearance. You can zoom in on it, crop it, stretch it and keyframe each change to create an animated effect.

Minpunten:

It's system requirements. The software needs AT LEAST 16GB of DDR4 RAM to run smoothly. I currently run it on just 8GB which is fine if you don't mind lag and random software crashes. Davinci Resolve also comes with the default settings for Autosave being off. I learnt that one the hard way. It also sometimes has problems with audio output, particularly when you use more than one output device (like headphones and external speakers). Sometimes it doesn't automatically change to the system device. Another thing I noticed is that, for some odd reason, it randomly outputs mono audio from a stereo audio file but this does eventually fix itself.

The Best Video Software out there

Opmerkingen: I have used Premiere and FinalCut extensively and have landed on DaVinci Resolve as the best option. It has all the features I need for any project without slowing me down with clunky UI and old style workflows. So it’s really the best of both worlds and is only getting better!

Pluspunten:

You cannot beat the functionality and price of this software! It does everything you could need or want without having to purchase a bunch of plug-ins and the base version is free and the full software is only $200!

Minpunten:

There is a lot to it. It’s basically 6 pieces of software bundled together into 1 application but it still works really well. It does take some practice to learn the many features, but it still is pretty user friendly.

It's simple, Davinci Resolve is easy to use, I had 0 editing experience before Davinci resolve and it honestly was a cake walk to get started. I recommend this product to ANYONE that asks me about video editing, seriously, I tell everyone that even mentions video editing that this is the program to get.

honestly not much, there was one update that came along randomly where you couldn't right click the timeline anymore and click "split", which as any video editor knows, you need to do about 500 times every time you open any video project, had to google it, now you can only do it by pressing "ctrl+B", so that problem was solved in about 2 seconds, but it would have been nice after the update if they took like the main components that they changed and add a little tip box next to it "hey, this thing that you have to do all the time, you can't do it like you did anymore, this is the new way", I just got in there after the update and just couldn't start my project until some random guy online let me know why splitting clips didn't work anymore.Extremely specific, just giving something that I least liked just to give one, but as you can see, that's literally nothing, the product is fantastic.

Davinci Resolve...there's no other choice

It's the most bang for your buck, its user friendly, it has a vfx studio built in with the Fusion tab, it has a full audio editing tab, and all withing the one program for only $299. It's outrageous that anyone would even think of using something else.

I wish the customer service as a bit more widespread and easy to work with but I've only had one experience and it wasn't because they weren't responsive, it was just the response was asking me to do code related stuff and It didn't make fixing the issue very easy but that was also 3+ years ago

Davinci resolve is not expensive, compared to other alternatives, this video editor gives us the software license and updates FOR LIFE, for a single payment, maybe the initial investment isn't cheap, but it will last forever. It has everything that you need to make a proper video. From editing the video, changing the color, edit the audio and animations. It's an all-in-one package. You can start for free using most of the features and then move to the paid version once you have a good taste of it. Thankfully so far NO SUBSCRIPTION. Just pay once.

Fusion has a high learning curve to it. have to spend a lot of time on tutorials to get to know fusion and make proper use of it.

The best in Color Grading.

Opmerkingen: I've used the program for more than two years, and I think it's a good option to start working with, considering that it has a free version.

It is true that there are many programs that enable you to Correct Colors ,Color Grading, add effects and make an integrated montage, but so far no program has been able to reach accuracy and make color correction very professional like Da Vinci Resolve, which has the best and most powerful feature I have seen since it started Work in designing videos that are Color Grading ,Correct Colors and in my opinion, he specializes in this thing more deeply than other programs. The beautiful thing about the program is that it is very easy to use, and you can use it perfectly in a few days, and at the same time, you can get great colors. I am using Danvinci Resolve 17.4.2 it gives this professional feel from its interface, layout and features one can tell that he or she is using an advance editing software. I love the advance color grading and correction tools. I love the fact that under Resolve FX color there is color space transform with preset color schemes that matches the type of camera that one used, applying these the footage dramatically transforms the footage before one proceeds with color grading. Under fusion tap there are nodes that takes this software to the pros. One can color grade or correct separately using nodes separate layers, for instance one can color grade or correct the skin tone, grass or sky separately using nodes layers. What is amazing is that under fusion the nodes allow the editor to fuse and customize the motion graphic effects, also creating awesome 3D text.

I started using version 16 I have been struggling with constant crushing and GPU error message. I thought upgrading to version 17 it would be better but it was the same thing. My major issue with Davinci Resolve is constant freezing, crushing during editing and exporting.
