The worst customer experience from any company.

Some, quite frankly I'm so turned of by the terrible experience that I'm unwilling to say anything positive.

I attempted to purchase a monthly Powerdirector 365 plan for my computer. I don't have a credit card so used my visa debit to attempt to purchase, I got an error that it couldn't process even though I had more than enough money in the account. I assumed this was a result of your system not being able to process visa debit card payments so I asked my boss if I could use her credit card to make the purchase as it was for business. She agreed but suggested we purchase the year long subscription to save money. I did so and the card was successfully charged. The reference code for this order was 395247292.I then checked my banking and saw that my card was charged twice for the monthly subscription (this is in addition to my boss having already paid for the year long subscription, all on the same account). I contacted cleverbridge, your payment processing company, and was able to get them to reverse the 2 monthly charges (after many many many attempts) while leaving the charge for the yearly plan alone so I kept access to the premium features. This all happened only a few months ago. I have now lost access to Powerdirector 365 and only have the free version. In the purchases section of my account I only show a monthly subscription which has expired.

Great for your editing needs

Opmerkingen: I would describe my overall experience with PowerDirector as great. I mostly use PowerDirector for morning announcements at our school. I have my students do much of the editing but I help them out when they have trouble.

Pluspunten:

PowerDirector is much easier to use than any other video editing software. The UI is easy to understand. I like the tutorial that they have you work through when first downloading. It walks you through all the important features you most likely will use. I also like that you can export different file outputs depending on what you are playing to upload your video to.

Minpunten:

PowerDirector is a bit expensive. It does have many more features than a free video editing software though.

For daily needs for any in the industrial film business, this product, PowerDirector , does it all.

Opmerkingen: PowerDirector is the only video software program we use and need. With all our team working on the same program, it has made our workflow and communications seamless and we get through our projects with ease.

Pluspunten:

When creating a film, you used to need several different software packages from Photoshop, to capture programs, to final conversion software. But with PowerDirector you have it all in one product. It is worth the price for all that you get.

Minpunten:

PowerDirector does have a learning curve. It follows a lot of the standards, but because there is SO MUCH it can do, even a seasoned pro will need to take some time to explore and learn. But it is worth it.

Opmerkingen: Enjoyable, stimulating, creative. It enables me to produce relatively polished videos which colleagues in the storytelling community seem to appreciate (to the point where they are asking me to run an editing course for them.)

Pluspunten:

I like the fact that you can start pretty easily but as your confidence grows there are plenty of sophisticated tools to enrich and enhance your video. There is excellent support form the communityo nlline (youtube videos0 demonstrating a wide range of editing/titling/tracking processes, which makes it easy to practice and acquire new skills. There's a huge resource library of background music (including Asian themed tracks which is important ot me - PD seems particularly keen to cater to Japanese market with fonts and music ) as well as Shutterstock video/images that come with your subscription. The recent addition of AI voice changing has proved surrprisingly effective for voice-overs too., and the sppech to text works very well also for creating subtitles.

Minpunten:

They update frequently which sometimes is annoying as the UI changes and you have to acclimatise to a new timeline/icon/s/location of tools etc. The proliferation of gimmicky effects to carter to bologgs and social media content creators will surely irritate the serious video maker - be prepared to delete scores of flashy, flickering in-your-face titleing templates!

Great for Beginners!

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with PowerDirector has been very positive. It's very easy to use for people who have no video editing skills.

PowerDirector is extremely easy to understand if you never edited videos before. I am a teacher and during Covid, I recorded a bunch of lessons for my class. I used a single camera and microphone and would film me teaching the material. Before I discovered this software, I would have to rerecord if I made a mistake. But now I can keep recording and go back and edit it later. I always thought editing videos was something only professionals could do. But PowerDirector has tutorials you can watch and the UI is very easy to understand. Every time I use the software, I learn something new.

Minpunten:

The one thing I liked least about using PowerDirector is it takes a powerful PC to quickly edit videos. If you are using large files, it can take a while to convert your videos and download them.

My 6 years of amazing experience with Power Director software

Opmerkingen: With a 6 year of experience, I always recommend to use Power Director software to all the new video editors and youtubers because, it is the most user-friendly and awesome to learn video editing and youtubing. The free version of this software belongs to everyone's liking and so, everyone like me will be satisfied by using it, during uploading the project. Besides, all the uses of the plenty of tools, special effects, background music are, no doubt, awesome to a new beginner.

Pluspunten:

Power Director software is quite easy to a new learner who is trying to learn video editing professionally. According to the requirement of a new video editor and a new youtuber, all the traits like green screen effect, blending mode and stock copyright free images, videos, transitions, graphics are available in this software. Video quality is also very high after exporting the project in this software. All the amazing tools, present here, are, in plenty, to add subtitles in this software. It is, also, in a word, user-friendly in an Android device.

Minpunten:

I think both the fast and the slow motion need to be developed in this software. With the help of this software, audio-editing and color-grading do not seem to me to be highly esteemed in comparison to the other ones. The accuracy of the chromakey feature seems to me to be doubtful to a bit extent. The Android version of this software takes longer time to export the project. The notification for using a pro-version, on behalf of the authorities, is also a matter of annoyance to me during my initially opening this software.

PowerDirector : The Best Video Editor Software for Beginners

Opmerkingen: Quite an impressive experience. I love the mobile app; it makes me productive when I am on the go. I can count a thousand times that PowerDirector had helped me when I needed a quick and easy way to edit my videos. PowerDirector also offers a vast range of tools, and I could download packs - special effects, titles, background music, and cool AI Style Packs.

Pluspunten:

It is intuitively user-friendly, highly functional, and you get excellent quality. The mobile app is my go-to video editor when I am on the go and when I want to edit and send something quickly. I am also able to import, export and edit 4K videos which is a huge plus.

Minpunten:

Sometimes it's difficult to trim voice-over clips accurately, making it difficult to synchronise audio and video. Also, render preview can be slow; it takes a lot of time. Other than that, everything is impressive for a beginner.

PowerDirector - A Wonderful Software Editing System Unless it Crashes

Opmerkingen: I for the most part enjoyed using PowerDirector when editing videos. It has been a blast and sometimes a struggle with having to recuperate work lost. Regardless, this is a great entry video editor for anyone that is looking to get involved with the craft. Just got to get used to the rare crash, which is a part of every video editor's bane.

Pluspunten:

I liked the friendly user interface to seamlessly go from folder to folder to set up my timeline. I felt that the words were bright enough for me to read and that the organization options have great default settings. This gave me more incentive to not have much setup involved outside of the usual importing of videos.

Minpunten:

There was a crash or two in the software during editing. The progress was last updated when I first updated it, which negated an hour or two of work that I have put in. I thought there would be more updates as to its recovery feature, but no use.

Powerful Editing- Less customization

Opmerkingen: It was the very first software I learnt video editing on, understood the concept of timelines, layers, etc. If it were not for powerdirector, I would have never professionally started learning editing.

Pluspunten:

Color grading, video capturing and live audio recording for dubbing multiple languages instantly, user friendly interface is what makes Powerdirector one of the easiest tools to start and work with.

Minpunten:

When we talk about transitions, we really need more of it. And today's transitions are kind of cartoonish and boring, and customizations don't work well with Powerdirector.

Easy to use to get good results, good software if you are a beginner.

Opmerkingen: Powerdirector is an awesome software for small video edits, things that require less time or if you are just starting out in the editing field.

It has very good tools and powerful enough to get a professional result, if you are new to editing and want to progress while learning, this software is quite useful to get into the world of editing. Depending on the plan and the price chosen, features can be obtained according to the needs of the publisher or the project in progress.

If the trial or free version is used, the final video ends with a watermark that can only be removed by purchasing a plan or subscription.

Content Creators best friend

The customer service is rated zero. Complaints are never attended, the support personnel (who may be the developers, I can't say) treat users as if users no nothing and they know everything which isn't fair. The essence of support/feedback centers is to note users complaints and improve on them but this develpers will not have that. I hope they improve

I just recently started a youtube channel - making a lyrics video. Initially I started with subtitle edit software which took me almost half days to complete a single one! Since start editing with powerdirector, it saves a lot of time in creating music videos and I am also satisfied with all the features offered by this. Unbelievably, it is super easy - a very good platform for a beginner like me in this field. The most important is due to the high quality video outputs, I have now significant amount of viewers! A Tool For Making Simple Videos

Opmerkingen: If you want to create videos for simple purposes like family video creation or simple youtube videos then go for it, otherwise I will not recommend it for you for making video ads.

PowerDirector is good for making simple videos for personal use and also sometimes for youtube. It has some filters and transitions for enhancing the video quality. Ai motion tracking and mask and blend are some special features in this software.

Minpunten:

You can't make some vast videos for your social media. You also can't create more creative video ads for advertisement. Their is a pricing for using many features. It have very few transitions of your work others are just useless.

PowerDirector Pros and Cons

Opmerkingen: My experience with PowerDirector has been somewhat bittersweet. I used it several times but that one little thing that matters can mess everything up. Sony vegas pro 13 does miracles for me.

Pluspunten:

What I liked about the software was the rendering. It can render videos in a very fast unlike another program that I normally use. The quality of the outcome usually worked for my needs. But if I had to emphasize on anything it would just be how simple the software was. I enjoyed adding transitions and effects only to have stunning results.

Minpunten:

There was one really big annoyance. The video editing on the PC can sometimes be painful due to lag even on my HP Zbook G3 17. Zooming in and out of the timeline was at times frustrating. Also, with the super-fast rendering I wouldn't expect for ultra-quality results.

Not too expensive and quite easy to use

The interface is very intuitive and the learning curve is not too steep. It's also quite easy to find information on the web and tutorials that help you realizing what you need. I would say that all basic features (and more) are easily accessible.

Minpunten:

2 main issues are that rendering takes a LOT of time, and in the end, when comparing it with some more advanced software, I realized that while it's easy to get started, the more advanced stuff isn't just doable. But that's why the other software is more advanced and more expensive, so overall it's just a minor dislike.
