Over WooCommerce
Webgebaseerd open source e-commerceplatform dat helpt bij het creëren van een online winkel met thema's, betaling, verzendopties en meer.
I liked that it was an inexpensive, easy to set up options that was fully customizable and interfaced with PayPal.
The extension is costly for small business. And sometimes plugin is getting an error and the customer services nobody is there to help.

Great platform to integrate
Opmerkingen: We ll keep using it on all our WP based shops. Great value and definetely easy setup.
Pluspunten:
We are using WooCommerce for most of our e-comm sites. Easy to integrate with third-party addons. Lot of options for customization of our shop, from shipping to advanced options.
Minpunten:
No issues with any of the features we are utilizing. It is recommended for beginners too.

The most flexible ecommerce platform around
Opmerkingen: I'm a big fan of WooCommerce and use it for a number of client ecommerce stores.
Pluspunten:
WooCommerce is open source and built on top of Wordpress, so it is the easiest and most cost-effective way to add ecommerce to a Wordpress website. It is also incredibly flexible, with a huge number of plugins and code snippets that can extend and alter its fuctionality.
Minpunten:
The user interface is a little dated compared to the likes of Shopify. It is still pretty simple to use, but it's interface does not feel as modern or look as clean as Shopify's platform.
Not user freindly unless you require off the shelf
Pluspunten:
not much to like as only available customizing is per their coding
Minpunten:
Unless you follow their process (Amazon, Shopify) not useful

Turn your Wordpress sites into stores with WooCommerce!
Opmerkingen: I used WooCommerce to set up my second e-commerce store. [sensitive content hidden] The first one was done using Shopify which took a similar amount of time but was very frustrating. Woo worked great. A few days later, our website became a fully functioning store! We've since added a store to Instagram and Facebook connected to our site.
Pluspunten:
The tutorials and support make setting up your e-commerce store relatively easy. But don't just SKIP over the details. Take time. Read carefully and follow the steps exactly.
Minpunten:
It can be complicated due to all that it does. You need to read instructions carefully and follow the steps exactly to avoid getting lost.

If you're thinking of an e-commerce solution think WooCommerce
Opmerkingen: The overall experience I get is the speed of checkout, the ease of use and the stability of the software.
Pluspunten:
There are many important features but the most important is the easy to setup the software and easy to understand the directions.
Minpunten:
Really don't have any dislikes about the software.

WooCommerce is brilliant for MultiPurpose sites
Opmerkingen: Woo Commerce has allowed us to push our sales to online, it provides somewhere easy for us to send our existing customers to look up what we have in stock, and possibly open us up for sales from outside the area.
Pluspunten:
The built in inventory management and easy of use for those familiar with wordpress is brilliant. The fact that you can upgrade and existing business site to add the functionality later on is brilliant.
Minpunten:
Shipping in our country (NZ) costs a lot to get set up properly with plugins. If you are happy setting up shipping classes and then sometimes loosing out when people buy more than what you can ship for their size box, then its fine.

Avant-garde soul and design
Opmerkingen: Although it required patience and effort during the initial implementation, I was able to implement very advanced functionality for my store in a short time. In addition, its performance and security have allowed me to gradually scale sales. The community around this platform is very active and we find quick solutions to any problem with the documentation or discussion forums. I would definitely recommend WooCommerce to any entrepreneur for its power and flexibility
Pluspunten:
What I liked most about WooCommerce was its great flexibility and customization capacity. Thanks to its architecture based on plugins, themes and extensions, I was able to configure exactly the online store I needed for my business. I had the opportunity to test various payment methods, shipping logistics, theme designs, among other optimizations. In addition, its native integration with WordPress allowed me to take full advantage of the CMS's functionalities to create content and manage my store in a very intuitive way
Minpunten:
What I liked least about WooCommerce was that since it is an open source platform, the learning curve is somewhat longer than other e-commerce solutions. It required spending extra time at the beginning to familiarize myself with all of its configuration parameters, database tables, and templating system. I also missed a larger library of natively available themes, although I realized that this is offset by the flexibility to create custom layouts

Satisfied from start to finish
Opmerkingen: Although like any plugin it can improve some aspects, I highly value its easy integration with WordPress, which is the CMS I use for my website, the great community and support available, and its basic but complete functionality to manage an online business in a simple way. It has exceeded my initial expectations to get me started in e-commerce and grow my reach to new customers. I will continue to learn tricks and customize my store to get better results month after month
Pluspunten:
I mainly liked the ease of use and integration of WooCommerce. Being able to create my products quickly and easily, adding images and details such as colors, sizes, etc. was an important advantage when managing my online store. The customization it allows on the front-end also allowed me to adapt it to the design and style I wanted for my brand. Another functionality that I valued was natively secure payments through gateways such as PayPal, which streamlined the purchasing process for my clients
Minpunten:
What I liked least was the limited customization in the back-end and administration panels. Although you can modify the fields of the order forms, it is not easy to customize the structure and design of the administration area much further. This could be improved to give more advanced configuration options to those who require it. Another point to improve are some processes that are not very intuitive, such as inventory management requiring more steps than necessary
I recommend WooCommerce for you if you want a professional online store
Opmerkingen: WooCommerce is a widely used and popular e-commerce plugin for WordPress. Many users appreciate its flexibility, extensive customization options, and large community support. It offers a range of features for online store management, from product listings to payment processing.
Pluspunten:
WooCommerce is a user-friendly e-commerce platform that allows you to create and customize online stores. It offers a lot of themes and plugins, making it simple for both beginners and experienced users to build professional-looking websites.
Minpunten:
WooCommerce offers flexibility but can be complex for some beginners. It depends on WordPress, has performance concerns with heavy customization, and requires paid extensions for advanced features.

Simple revieuw of woocommerse
Opmerkingen: A very powerful software to easy setup and build webshops with alot of separate products
Pluspunten:
The product import functionality from a single .csv file
Minpunten:
Sometimes it's imports are corrupted due to a single line of incorrect code

WooCommerce is one of the best tools to run your website if you are a market=place or running one.
Opmerkingen: I did not hesitate for a second to use it in my website as it is a guide to how things should work. It answers all the questions and leads your website to success.
Pluspunten:
You feel it is well designed to fit the purpose. All the features that are incorporated with WooCommerce gives you the chance not to lose any part of the process until the point of payment. This is all in coordination with choosing the best paying methodology.
Minpunten:
I can't see anything that WooCommerce is suffering from. Its perfect. While so; sometimes there are only in instances issues with payment processes as errors takes place yet not much.
Eerder overwogen alternatieven:
WooCommerce - Great system! Not perfect! But is anything really perfect?
Opmerkingen: I personally believe the 'pros' outweigh the 'cons' when considering WooCommerce as an E-commerce platform. I've built multiple sites using WooCommerce that would have $cost tens of thousands of dollars had a Developer been required to code all of these functions. My advice would always be - find a high quality / low-cost Developer (using one of the online labour aggregator sites e.g. Upwork) who has a wealth of recent WooCommerce experience (particularly with the functionality you are looking to achieve) and accept that not everything will work perfectly (or even be compatible) straight 'out of the box'. At the end of the day, if you priced all of the code that has been contributed to make WooCommerce what it is today - it would probably cost $billions to rebuild. So the next time you're criticising 'free' - remember that nothing is ever free.
Pluspunten:
There are too many pro's to mention with WooCommerce, but i love the fact that it is Open Source which ensures thousands of plugins are available to extend the functionality of WooCommerce. And this is Woocommerce's biggest strength - It can quite feasibly allow a micro-size company to operate like an Enterprise (e-biz), including building end-to-end workflow automation across an entire business operation. Remarkably, this business panacea (end-2-end) can conceivably be achieved free of charge, or for only a few hundred dollars (plus A LOT of Developer and Administrator time).
Minpunten:
WooCommerce doesn't come without Con's, and it's vitally important to recognise them. The main 'con' for me is the fact that because you have an 'infrastructure' that allows you to 'act' like an Enterprise - the temptation is to do so. This is where cost, resources, licences, etc can start to rack up. WooCommerce DOES NOT provide everything out of the box, but rather through a series of Modules (1st & 3rd party) that come at a cost. If you purchase from WooCommerce (Automattic) you pay a premium for each module (but you get support). If you purchase from 3rd party devs you typically pay a lower cost for the module (but the support is often questionable, as are the 'upgrades', 'compatibility roadmap', etc). So, although WooCommerce is an incredible toolset for building an Enterprise-style e-commerce platform, it is not always plain sailing.

Great e-commerce tool --- unfortunately it is on Wordpress
Opmerkingen: I have several Woocommerce stores and deal with many others that are owned and run by other people. I have good experiences with it, it is a high-quality product and even if it is not perfect, it is light-years ahead of many competitors.
Pluspunten:
It is free but still offers all necessary functionalities to start and run an online store. It is easy to use and there are a lot of extra functionalities available, some paid, some free.
Minpunten:
The biggest dislike I have is that it runs on WordPress. It is very unfortunate, but we must live with it. Another dislike is that some of the 3rd party functionalities are very expensive compared to what they offer. The pricing is the same for a tiny new store and a well-established big online giant. I would rather see some other kind of pricing models for some of the plugins, but...
One of the Best E-commerce Solutions
Opmerkingen: WooCommerce has a lot of pros and cons. As soon as the plugin is installed, setting up an e-commerce store is a breeze. It is almost free (except hosting) and fast to set up a decent looking e-commerce website. However, the WordPress admin interface can become very messy and cumbersome when more plugins are being added to spruce up the website. Some of the plugins would appear inside WooCommerce while others outside, making maintenance tedious and confusing for beginners. Furthermore, many plugins needed for basic functions (eg. Google feed, SEO) required paid subscriptions. Many needed third party plugins can conflict with each other, hence bringing down the performance of WooCommerce and the overall website.
Pluspunten:
- Easy to use - Free (no fees) - Great catalog system - Great shopping cart - Great customization based on needs - Compatible with most popular plugins
Minpunten:
- Can be confusing for beginners to have to use WooCommerce together with WordPress, such as in building a product menu which is not built automatically as with other platforms (eg. Shopify) - Can slow down a website because WooCommerce is itself a plugin - Online product editing can be slow and tedious - No in-built SEO without using another plugin - Poor Google Core Web Vitals for mobile which is essential for good search page result ranking - The search bar is a pain to use
A great e-commerce solution, but still awhile to go...
Opmerkingen: WooCommerce is great in its e-commerce features but lacks where its obvious competitors are excelling in, turning it into a second-grade choice when compared to the likes of BigCommerce, Krepling, and Shopify.
Pluspunten:
WooCommerce is great in its core product offering. It offerings everything one could ask for when looking to deploy an online store. It is simple and easy to use and also has a decent array of features. For WordPress users, it is a must-have if you are looking to deploy online selling functions.
Minpunten:
Where WooCommerce falls short is its simplicity. Whilst platforms like Shopify, Krepling, and BigCommerce have mastered the ability to simplify and centralize the online selling environment and business management, WooCommerce has yet to innovate any of its central dashboards and interfaces. I have used WooCommerce for 3.5 years, and despite it being a very powerful selling tool, I have never been able to look past it being just a WordPress plugin. Entrepreneurs are still required to have their own separate hosting options and domain configurations, which require users to constantly jump between different support options just to troubleshoot errors. Not to mention how much WooCommerce relies on WordPress. Although I have no complaints about WordPress, its ease of building websites has not adopted a 'no-code' ideology, thus requiring users to purchase additional plugins like themes and modules.

A valuable tool for anyone looking to grow their online business.
Opmerkingen: I've been using WooCommerce to develop e-commerce websites for my clients, and it has been an absolute game-changer! Not only was it easy to install and integrate into my clients' sites, but it also provided a seamless and user-friendly shopping experience for their customers.
Pluspunten:
Thanks to Wordpress and WooCommerce's customization options, I was able to tailor each website to my clients' unique needs and branding, which helped them increase their overall sales and revenue. Plus, the platform's ability to handle multiple payment gateways like Stripe, Paypal, you name it, made transactions a breeze for both my clients and their customers.Overall, I highly recommend Wordpress and WooCommerce to any developer or business owner looking to take their e-commerce game to the next level. Its robust features, reliable performance, and easy integration make it a valuable tool for anyone looking to grow their online business.
Minpunten:
While WooCommerce is an excellent plugin for building ecommerce websites, there is one drawback that I've noticed. Occasionally, the platform may require some paid/additional customization to achieve certain functionalities that some of my clients were looking for. However, this can easily be resolved by us developing certain features or by exploring the extensive library of plugins.

Decent Product
Opmerkingen: My overall experience on a scale of 1-10 I’d say is 7. It can be used for a small business that doesn’t deal with hefty transactions daily
Pluspunten:
So I used woocomerce to receive payments for an e-learning platform that I created on wordpress. It integrates very easy with wordpress and has a decent interface on the back end. It has a mobile app that allows you view your orders and in a way categorize them and a few reminder notes to each order. It allows you integrate various payment gateways like stripe and paypal and plenty more via use or account authentication or through the use of api access keys. Its a decent app that performs its job effectively at the back end
Minpunten:
I have to say my main con is the load time it takes when charging a card and another downside is the frequent updates you have to keep up with on wordpress in other for it to keep functioning as it should. The mobile app is also a bit limited in functionality but then its nice when you get an order and get notified via the app notification. It also crashes when a lot of users try to purchase all at the same time.

Still the #1 eCommerce solution for an established WordPress Website
Opmerkingen: Generally speaking it is a breeze to work with - both as e-Commerce site developer/builder, Site *owner* and also on the front-end as End Consumer too. It does _not_ offer the slickest Checkout solution on the market (that plaudit goes to Shopify, sorry folks...) - but for the overall package and native WordPress compatibility, it remains by go-to eCommerce solution.
Pluspunten:
Being a native WordPress product and service these days (whilst still operating until the preserved Woo... branding), WooCommerce is without doubt the go-to e-Commerce solution for any WordPress website (one obviously downside (if you can call it that..) being that of course WooCommerce is ONLY available for consideration for WordPress Website owners. Easy to use product inventory management and order processing, there are also a number of free (and paid-for) extensions available to consider bolting-on too.
Minpunten:
At some point in time it became necessary to have an active WooCommere.com account in order to acquire and then update selected extensions. Free, so in theory not a hurdle. However... the tie-up with / ownership by WordPress can sometimes lead to a frustrating tangle - where you are not entirely sure WHICH account you are logged-in to - or indeed whether or not you are able to acquire and/or update some of those official extensions. Very frustrating.. having such an account should be OPTIONAL (but I don't believe it is....).

Excellent
Opmerkingen: I find in WooCommerce an ally to run my business, and my clients businesses. This is a beautiful tool made to provide a great experience at creating, operating an ecommerce, and to buy on any as well.
Pluspunten:
It is a completely free platform to manage an e-commerce There are thousands of integration systems available for WooCommerce, from payment gateways to shipping labeling. There are endless opportunities to customize a website running on WordPress while operating WooCommerce.
Minpunten:
It is well known that managing a super store online via WooCommerce, may be a little troubleful in terms of operation, notwithstanding, I had run stores with thousands of items with no issues. Then, I guess it won't be an issue for the most percentage of people trying to sell online.

WooCommerce is a must have for any small business
Opmerkingen: Very easy to setup and continues to be an essential part of our website
Pluspunten:
Very easy to setup and navigate. WooCommerce allows for integration to Quickbooks, which saves a boatload of time and cuts down on potential errors.
Minpunten:
I don't currently have any "cons" for WooCommerce. I have not experienced any issues. Very satisfied!
Eerder overwogen alternatieven:
WooCommerce: Not the easiest to setup, but by far the most customizable
Opmerkingen: Before implementing WooCommerce, we were always "making do" with the solutions that other platforms would offer. A lot of times this felt that we were not only rationalizing/making excuses for those platforms' limitations, but we were overall just settling for a less than ideal fix. WooCommerce has allowed us to offer the complete online shopping experience that we've been striving to deliver to our clients.
Pluspunten:
After having used many other eCommerce platforms in the past (Square, Shopify, Wix etc...), I am left blown away by how completely customizable WooCommerce is. There is literally nothing that can not be done with this software - it's just a matter of figuring out how to get there. You want different shipping tables based on user IP location? No problem. Looking to have suggested items displayed depending on the purchase order? You got it! The one downside to WooCommerce is figuring out how to correctly dial in the settings to achieve the desired result. This can take a bit of time, but luckily WooCommerce's documentation and online tutorials are extremely helpful and plentiful. After having experienced the limitations of many other eCom "solutions" it truly is refreshing to have an option as robust as WooCommerce.
Minpunten:
As I mentioned above, dialing in the correct settings can be a bit laborious, but if you are patient and willing to do a little bit of research, there really is no limitation to what you can build.

When you have more time than money - worth learning!
Opmerkingen: It's absolutely a game-changer for me and my very small business. I sell items online and moved away from big commerce marketplaces because the fees were eating me alive in an already super competitive market. I can now run my own store on my own website and list as many items as I was for free. I also have the ability to modify Woocommerce however I see fit to my needs. It's a little tricky at first but worth the time investment considering it's a free opensource app.
Pluspunten:
It's free and it's open source! If you have the time and a little bit of patience this is well worth the investment of knowledge it takes to get it up and running. The modifications you can implement and the documentation on how to do so I plentiful online. Having the ability to manipulate such a versatile plugin for your website is monumental when running a small business and literally doing everything for yourself. You can also integrate print-on-demand stores like Printful into your Woocommerce store which is one of the best features!
Minpunten:
It can be overwhelming. If you are not familiar with the backends of websites and a little coding this might not be for you. If you are unfamiliar with e-commerce this can also be overwhelming too. The language and deep level of modifications and settings can make your head spin.
WooCommerce look a bit old but works very well.
Opmerkingen: WooCommerce just helps me to create every type of feature-rich conversation-focused eCommerce website that can expensive when creating it without available options like Shopify. Although using WordPress requires some basic level of tech knowledge and to be a nice googler because you have to Google a lot of stuff to find the perfect solution and because of Free support it can take a few days of WooCommerce Officials to help you out. But I never needed their support because Google already had every solution I was looking for.
Pluspunten:
Many businesses offer easy integration with WooCommerce, It is very easy to understand and use with all the tutorials and documentation, even a beginner can configure it. Being so much customizable is what I like the most in WooCommerce, You can use either Free or Paid plugins from the WordPress Repository and integrate with WooCommerce to meet any of your needs, Whether it is marketing, optimization, sale or design changes. You can almost make any type of eCommerce website with WooCommerce using the available plugins and have the best conversion rate with optimized checkout with different Plugins
Minpunten:
Its design looks a bit out-dated. We have to use different plugins to extend the functionality that some of them also use server resources. Its own dashboard is very very out-dated, It's very bad but fortunately, we can now use WooCommerce Admin but it still needs to improve as much as Shopify. Some of WooCommerce scripts take a lot of time loading of the front-end. For which there is no option to optimize either disable of the front pages where it is not needed. WooCommerce must update their Front-End and Back-End to look more modern and simple because people just hate the old one. Official Support can tke a long time to reach you if you're stuck at some point.

The best E-Commerce Platform with Some Drawbacks
Opmerkingen: WooCommerce is an excellent e-commerce platform that allows you to easily set up an online store and start selling your products. With a wide range of features, integrations, and customization options, it's no wonder that WooCommerce is one of the most popular e-commerce solutions available.
Pluspunten:
WooCommerce is a powerful e-commerce plugin that seamlessly integrates with WordPress to help users set up and manage online stores quickly and easily. It's an excellent option for small businesses that can't afford a complex e-commerce platform and want to create a custom web store. With WooCommerce, you can build a free WordPress website and have full ownership of your entire site. The plugin also provides a user-friendly interface and a wide range of add-ons to improve your store's functionality and features, such as payment systems integration, filtering options, and cryptocurrency payment plugins. In addition, the WooCommerce community is active and supportive, providing valuable resources to help users complete tasks with ease.
Minpunten:
Despite its many advantages, WooCommerce is not without its flaws. The most cons that I have noticed with my +2 years of using Woocommerce, One common issue is that the platform has many external extensions that are poorly coded and can cause bloat, which may result in website crashes. Another problem is that WooCommerce is a heavy plugin that can significantly increase the load time of your website. This means that updates must be vetted in a test environment before going live, which can be time-consuming and disruptive for store owners. Additionally, some essential functionalities like one-page checkouts and quantity discounts require purchasing additional plugins, which can add to the overall cost and slow down your website. Finally, some third-party functionalities can be expensive, and the pricing model is the same for small and large businesses, which may not be the most cost-effective option for all users.
Powerful E-commerce Interface
Opmerkingen: We've enjoyed WooCommerce during the last few years and have found it to be a solid e-commerce solution for our business. The system continues to improve and grow and we would recommend it to any companies looking for a powerful, customizable platform from which to launch their online sales and manage their customer base.
Pluspunten:
WooCommerce forms the backbone of our e-commerce website and we've been using it for around five years at this point. It handles a high quantity of orders with ease and its customization options are so far-reaching that if you can dream of a plugin for the system, it probably already exists or is under development somewhere (this may have something to do with its integration into Wordpress). Recently, we've been utilizing the Subscriptions feature to more accurately manage our customers' accounts, and this feature is particularly useful for recurring transactions. Coupons are easy to create and keep track of and WooCommerce can also be linked to external systems for more accurate monetary calculations and other relevant business features.
Minpunten:
Reporting within the system does leave something to be desired. We've found that the reporting dashboard is fairly limited, particularly for more advanced metrics that can be found in systems like Quickbooks. However, as noted above, the system can be linked to other systems using plugins and various connectors, so it's possible to extract that detailed sales data if need be. On occasion the sheer amount of customization options can be overwhelming, as well, though this is a better problem to have than a system with too few options. The various plugins just need to be managed in a coherent fashion to ensure site stability.
