Simple, effective and powerful

Pluspunten:

Very easy to setup and manage. Once installed it just works with almost zero issues.

Minpunten:

The portal can be slow sometimes switching between companies.

Auth point Feedback_MFA

Opmerkingen: It's good enough while using in the data security platform. I have been using the Auth point for 5 years and it's good to use. It would better if there are any AI features involved in the watchguard cloud portal

Pluspunten:

Strong MFA activities, Fully Cloud management and quick support available from watchguard

Minpunten:

Only depend on mobile device instead of email security, AI tools to configure & troubleshooting, Complicate while configure the authpoint

Not a product I would recommend

Opmerkingen: I would change to DUO in a heart beat. DUO is far superior and even the lower levels of DUO is better than this.

Pluspunten:

It can at least do push notifications.

Minpunten:

You get horrible reporting if any, limited third party integration, you can't even completely integrate with Azure for two-factor. The portal is horrible. I don't even contact support unless I'm forced to because it sucks. Even your re-sellers, or at least the one I have to use, charge me to work up a quote.

WatchGuard with AuthPoint is an easy to use security solution for smaller companies

Opmerkingen: In the past I had Cisco ASA appliances but for my needs the watchguard is much more easier to manage.

Pluspunten:

Easy to install and to manage. It works as expected.

Minpunten:

My wish is to integrate this functionality into the appliance. The appliance is reachable from external network and it should be possible to manage it without the cloud interaction.

Authpoint a wonderful mfa solution

Opmerkingen: Push notification is slightly inconsistent. The other mfa mediums are consistent.

Pluspunten:

Mfa solution that can fit different products usage

Minpunten:

At times, the notification doesn’t appear. Have to press the check for notification in the app for the prompt. Migration from phone to phone requires assistance by MSP

Best Product to protect client vpn and more

Opmerkingen: We are using AuthPoint for us and many customers. The acceptance raises very fast so i think we could protect all customer watchguard client vpn tunnels with AuthPoint.

Pluspunten:

Easy to use the push messages and accesspt fast.

Minpunten:

It feels expensive to be a good alternative to MS authenticator and protect MS 365 Accounts

WG Authpoint worth the spend if you already own a WG firebox

Opmerkingen: AuthPoint has worked well for us. We have used it for over 2 years now and it is easy to deploy and easy to add/remove users to the system.

Pluspunten:

Ease of setup and user interface make it a easy setup.

Minpunten:

Not for us directly, but you need (I believe) to have a WG firebox in order to use the product.,

Would Recommend WatchGuard AuthPoint

Opmerkingen: Very good, easy to set up and easy to add users and reissue tokens.

Watchguard AuthPoint is easy to use and easy to add new users after syncing them from Active Directory.

Minpunten:

The lack of error read outs could be improved to help troubleshooting.

Reliable Security with Room for Setup Improvement

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with WatchGuard AuthPoint was positive. It provided robust security, but some improvements could be made to streamline the setup process.

Pluspunten:

I liked WatchGuard AuthPoint for its easy-to-use interface and strong security features, especially the multi-factor authentication and seamless integration with various applications.

Minpunten:

The least enjoyable aspect was the initial setup, which could be a bit complex for users unfamiliar with MFA solutions.

Authpoint - MFA made easy and affordable

Opmerkingen: A great product, sensibly priced with great add-on features with WatchGuards typical excellent support behind it.

Pluspunten:

The ease of use, both in the deployment and in the end user experience is great. The range of options for authentication is also idea, from rolling time-sensitive codes to push notifications. It’s a great solution.

Minpunten:

Honestly nothing at the moment. When they move all the end user security under one umbrella product it will be more convenient certainly, but there are no real gripes that I have with it at all and we’ve used it for a few years now.

Keeping the Server Safe

Opmerkingen: Great. Easy. Does what it says it will and is consistent.

Pluspunten:

Easy to use and works like is promised. Grateful for the multi-factor and how easy it is to use.

Minpunten:

Nothing here to dislike. Simple and works - what more could you want?

WG AuthPoint is critical to any cyber security plan

Opmerkingen: Highly recommend that all WatchGuard customers deploy AuthPoint using VPN access to protect their internal networks.

Pluspunten:

AuthPoint was easy to setup and deploy; the product is also very reliable.

Minpunten:

Have not found any issues with the product at this point.

It does what it's intended to do.

Opmerkingen: It's limited but works well for mobile VPN users which is what we typically use it for.

Pluspunten:

Authpoint is easy and integrates with multiple platforms. I would recommend it for third party MFA requirements above others.

Minpunten:

It's not the most intuitive to configure.

Authpoint for MFA

Opmerkingen: All in all, the solution does its job that is required for an MFA solution and it performs pretty well

Pluspunten:

Ease of use and implementations. It has all the features and functions I was looking for in a MFA solution. Offline MFA.

Minpunten:

Authpoint freezes during login at times and requires a reboot

Easy and quick deployment if you already use WG products

Pluspunten:

It was so easy to roll out since we already were using WG as our gateway.

Minpunten:

Probably hardest thing to do/setup is syncing with LDAP

Opmerkingen: End user experience is awesome. From a technical support standpoint, it's horrible.

Pluspunten:

Ease of use for end user.

Minpunten:

The loging is horrible when trying to support failed user sign-on. It isn't updated on the fly, and there are no details other than authorized and unauthorized. WHY wasn't it authorized? Was it simply userid/password issue?

Important MFA solution for VPN

Pluspunten:

It is good implemented into the products, easy deployment to PC's

Minpunten:

Sometimes difficult to troubleshoot as logs need to be fetched at different locations

Can't recommend for Windows 10, works great on Windows 11

Easy to use. Allows multiple methods to be used depending on users' needs. Some choose to use the phone app and some the hardware fob.

Minpunten:

Implementation has been an absolute nightmare. The AuthPoint software has caused serious performance issues on any machine we installed it on running Windows 10. Over the course of the day, system performance degrades and applications as well as Windows itself begin locking up. Results in having to restart multiple times a day. The only solution we've found is to upgrade the affected computers to Windows 11, then it all works fine.

Review on mostly CLIENT usage of Authpoint

Opmerkingen: 4 out of 5 starts. Mostly great, especially after it is setup.

Pluspunten:

Once it is setup it is very easy to use, even very non technical clients use it on a daily basis

Minpunten:

the initial setup is sometimes a pain, the user creation can be off by one letter in AD, and the only way to know is if you go into admin logs on Authpoint to find out

Great but MacOS issues

Pluspunten:

Ease of use and integration with Firewall

Minpunten:

Trouble getting it working on MacOS. Will not stay connected to VPN.
