Best Decision Ever

Opmerkingen: Easy access to all my HR, Payroll and benefits information at a click of a button. I would highly recommend this software for busy office administrators to simplify day to day tasks. I like knowing that I can access the software remotely when I am traveling and I get the same information as I would if I used it in the office. The accessibility is one of the best things this software has to offer.

Pluspunten:

The software is easy to use and makes things so much more simple in day to day operations. I find it more user friendly then the competitors software I have used in the past.

Benefits Costs - little buying power

website is a little cumbersome to use. know how to do all the things it can do. my big problem with ADP TotalSource is our health benefits. ADP represents 200,000 small businesses, 4.5 million employees? and there isn't good buying power regarding offering health insurance? limited choices, rates going up 23% in a year, several yrs in a row? with all those employees, we should get much better 'group' rates. Not subject to the cost increase of a 10 employee office that 1 employee had serious medical issues in the prior year. I expected better health insurance costs/offerings.

Opmerkingen: Overall very happy with ADP TotalSource. It has everything taken care of and is easy to use for staff.

Costly but Worth It

Opmerkingen: This company is the first company I've worked at that used ADP as its PEO. The fact that everything I could possibly need for payroll, HR, and compliance is available to me through ADP makes up for the cost. But the fact that ADP takes care of the majority of the annual/semi-annual/quarterly reporting as well as benefits makes the cost definitely worth it. I hope I never have to work without a PEO again! And as ADP is the largest (that I'm aware of), I hope my relationship with them continues!

Pluspunten:

I like that ADP is a one-stop shop, as far as payroll and HR are concerned, and they take care of a LOT of the reporting for our company, which is great for those of us who are constantly racing just to keep up with work on a daily basis.

Minpunten:

The cost is high and there appears to be a lot of turnover at ADP.

The total source of frustration

Opmerkingen: My predecessor chose ADP TS in a hope to streamline and consolidate all of the payroll, benefit administration and HR management into one platform. The TS platform is very clunky and not intuitive at all - whether it be the prep of payroll, the access of reports, trying to decide what benefits you want - none of it was easy. I have used ADP Total Run for other employers and it is so easy and while you don't have a dedicated team, you can chat with someone pretty quickly and get your questions answered. I always had a hard time getting my questions answered with TS. The cost per employee compared to ADP Run or any other platform I have used was much higher and I could not figure out what I was getting for all of the extra fees. Also, they bury their fees in the workers comp and benefit admin stuff so you can't tell how much you are actually paying. I think this may have been my worse payroll experience in my 40 years as an accountant.

Pluspunten:

Almost nothing. I found very little to like about their software or support.

Minpunten:

The support we received from our "team"? It was a random list of names of folks you could never reach or get a response if you emailed them.

HR representative is a hard dedicated worker

Minpunten:

No support from the Payroll team. I have to call each time I run payroll. The system is not calculating accruals properly and it is creating problems with the staff. We will be changing the policies so it will be more simple and accurate.

User interface

Opmerkingen: alwasy have a bit of a problem navigating the web portals. Plus, there are so many of them!

Pluspunten:

Ease of payrol, tax deductions, reporting

Minpunten:

Terrible interface on work force now, and retirement accounts. Limited option while doing payroll, ie PTO: does not allow one to personalize reasons why the many various reason people take off. Also it does not allow particular payments to employess as vacation' when employee would rather work for vacation.

ADP for jobs

Financial management services by ADP.

Opmerkingen: ADP Total source helps me every month to find my payroll details, my leave counts, my exception and tax deduction information very easily from one portal. It is very simple to use just login, and it starts working.

Pluspunten:

Very convenient method of managing payroll. I like the feature that can login anytime and keep track on our salary records, HR, benefits across the things.

Minpunten:

It's difficult to understand some of features like managing taxes. I would love if reports will become more easily for benefits. Customer support is not very responsive.

Good HR Software

Opmerkingen: Overall it works well. It seems they all have a little issue - none have it all and work exactly as I wish they did.

Pluspunten:

Easy to navigate the pages, the app is great to have on your phone to approve time cards in a pinch.

Minpunten:

The customer service is lacking if you need help. Long hold times and emails do not get any responses.

ADP TotalSource is perfect for HR department of One

Opmerkingen: I would highly recommend to any HR department of One to use ADP TotalSource. As a company with 60 employees in 11 states, it makes sense to have the added support for state and local compliance in both payroll and policy and procedures. We have employees in CA, which is always coming out with new regulations to adhere to. In addition, I can offer my 60 employees excellent benefits that are typically provided by much larger organizations.
Other companies may be less money than ADP, but we get access to other products that would cost us money if we did not have ADP TS. For example, a handbook builder, a learning dashboard, Payscale data,

Pluspunten:

As an HR professional, there is always something that comes up that you never had to deal with before. Besides researching and asking other professionals, I have the support of an HR Business partner who has resources at her disposal to assist me in the best plan of action to proceed.

Minpunten:

A few times, I have put through a request in the service portal that went unanswered. I have learned to make sure my HR Business Partner or Payroll Partner is aware of my submission to assist along the way.

ADP Payroll and Timesheet

Pluspunten:

ADP is easy and comprehensive. It is easy to find what you need on the online site and to make notes or changes to the time sheet as needed.

Minpunten:

ADP is easy to use on the computer though there are some technical difficulties with the app sometimes when it comes to clocking in and out.

ADP TotalSource Review

Opmerkingen: Initially, using ADP didn't seem like a good option for us. The team seemed to be unresponsive and not always helpful.
After about a little over a year, the team changed which provided us more quicker and better assistance and a lot more dedicated to resolving issues. Also, our Risk and Safety rep stopped by for the learning section and to assist with compliance. This was really helpful.

Pluspunten:

Minpunten:

The "Cases" section could work better. It would be nice to work with multiple tabs. The I-9 section is difficult to locate for employees. There should be a notice when employees first login to address the I-9 completion. The learning section could be easier to work with.

ADP Reveiw

Opmerkingen: We like working with ADP because we can trust their experience.
All issues are handled in timely fashion.

Pluspunten:

We love the efficiency of all employee data, payroll, benefits, HR all in one place. Also the self-service generation of WC certificates of insurance. (Marsh) ADP Team is very responsive and a pleasure to work with.

Minpunten:

Report generation can be tricky to find what you need but overall ok.

ADP TotalSource is a solid, no-frills PEO that works effectively for our joint ventures.

Opmerkingen: Overall, ADP TotalSource checks most of the boxes needed to satisfy all of requirements of being a software system designed to act as a PEO. While there could certainly be some improvements, none of the products on the market seemed perfect, and this was one of the best 2-3 that I found.

Pluspunten:

It integrated well with our other systems and software. The customer service and support has been good and the implementation and set-up went smoothly. It does everything it was expected to and does have some nice reporting functionality included as well. It's user interface isn't particularly exciting, but is fairly intuitive and easy to pick up.

Minpunten:

While it does what is needed, I feel like they could display more info per page and find ways to minimize "unnecessary clicks" to accomplish basic tasks related to sourcing, candidate, pipeline, dispositions, and requisition management. Also, resumes don't seem to always open properly using the Chrome browser. Sometimes, they must be downloaded in order to be viewed.

Customer Service Team

Pluspunten:

The share screen function allows for more efficient customer response and feedback times.

Minpunten:

There is not a mass search option and some of the tables and great information are hidden and difficult to find.

5 Stars All Around

Opmerkingen: Regardless of the con listed above, this was an outlying issue, and the overall quality and customer service of this organization has been amazing.

Pluspunten:

There are too many pros to write about here. From being able to print off past statements, to being able to view current and past benefits this is an amazing program. The customer service has always been amazing to work with.

Minpunten:

The only issue that I have ever had with them was trying to get a tax issue on my paycheck resolved, there was a lack of communication on the part of customer service, and it took much too long to get the issue resolved.

ADP TotalSource - cumbersome but inclusive

Opmerkingen: Good product overall, but there is a learning curve

Pluspunten:

Administrators are able to adjust, edit, or update anything. Assigning managers and time card approvers is easy, and time off requests live in a portal - that way if one manager is covering for another it is easy for them access and approve.

Minpunten:

Many features are not intuitive to find and some updates require changes in 2 or 3 completely different areas. Customer service is ok, not great. They'll help you quickly but do not always fix the problem on the first or second try.

A Decent Employee Portal With Room To Grow

Pluspunten:

ADP is a giant hub of employee information—tailored to your individual business. I like pulling up my employee records, checking pay stubs, or changing tax information either on my work browser or my cellphone. ADP offers some pretty neat benefits and discounts to ticketed services or entertainment including Disney, Universal, cell phone providers, tax programs, etc. Signing up for benefits one year makes it easier for following years as your elections remain saved for easy review.

Minpunten:

The portal is rather bland and it can take a while to peruse the menus and find what you're looking for. It also can feel weird to use an online HR option versus having internal HR employees.

This software lets you do so many things

Opmerkingen: The ease of turning in payroll whenever I am ready without having to make phone calls to do so. Reports at my fingertips, ease of setting up employees, etc.

Pluspunten:

Love the ease of putting in payroll, new employees, updating employees, getting reports, terminating employees, etc. Really quick and easy.

Minpunten:

There isn't anything we just don't like about this software. Do wish you could use your right/left arrow keys when inputting payroll. It would save a lot of time. You can use the up/down arrow keys, but not the right/left.

I needed to change the archaic payroll system that was here before me.

Pluspunten:

I mostly like how easy and simple the software is to use. It also gives your employees a lot of control where it would just be time consuming for you, such as their personal information. Employees can update their tax info, direct deposit, request time off, and do all their time clocking. It makes it for a more hands off experience for HR so they can focus on bigger and more important things.

Minpunten:

Sometimes there are items you can not change without ADP's assistance, that puts a delay on certain items. Also, some items work off of pay periods, so to remove an employee I have needed to wait one-two pay periods.
