Hoping for some input and some changes.

Pluspunten:

The integration with asana is the most exciting part. I like the notes and the estimated value and actual value tracker. Awesome. Love the share feature. That is amazing.

Minpunten:

I would really like the ability to assign tasks to contractors still under my responsibility. So assigned to Alex and the trade would be company A. Then have a monthly chart for company A showing all my projects to see if I have over lapped them with another project I have going. If they are a small company and can’t service both jobs this would be a problem. Then also a calendar view of the project with as sub trades. The small thing about having to hit enter after entering the task name is just annoying(something I can get used to)

Review from an AEC User

Opmerkingen: Waht we use this app for it is super efficient and satisfies our needs.
I could imagine that "hardcore" task oriented users might have different opinion but for a midsize engineering company for project planning/visualization it works very well.
Another idea would be the integration into MS Teams and connect it to the TO-DO of teams. Microsoft has MS project which is horrible to use and not interactive/integrated at all. More and more companies transfer to a full Microsoft integration and a proper Gantt Chart app is missing.

Pluspunten:

Since we were looking for a Gantt Chart App that is easy to incorporate into ASANA and vizualizing Project Schedules we are very happy with the functionality of InstaGantt. In the AEC world it is more about project planning for phases rather than individual task assignments and tracking. We like the free version of it since with the max. of 3 project this is very sufficient for us.

Minpunten:

Sometimes laggy if you try redoing some steps. The "follow" function by dragging does not always work.

Feedback from an Architecture PM

Opmerkingen: Suficient but not impressed. Sometime filling and updating it becomes a chore instead of a tool to help keep track of processes. Its more of a place to do the schedule and set the dates, but not really a flexible project tracker or workload reflection.

Pluspunten:

Automatic creation of gantts, able to share with multiple users

Minpunten:

Display, inability to see multiple projects at once, no checklists or integration to Trello or Google suite.

Easy to Use and High Quality!

Opmerkingen: My experience has been very user friendly, the Gantt chart is easy to manipulate to have it look the way you want it to and the export process is also straightforward and simple.

Pluspunten:

I love that Instagantt integrates seamlessly with Asana. Updates to your project appear instantly in either app. The Gantt charts are high quality and look great, they are perfect to send to client as a schedule update on a project and look much nicer than the gantt charts in Asana.

Minpunten:

It would be nice if it were just integrated into the Asana app itself, rather than having to use a different browser.

Pluspunten:

Easy to use Workload handles workload distributed over period of time which is an excellent function that most systems don´t have.

Minpunten:

Dependencys could be better, the system has no choices.

A great tool for gantt diagramms

Opmerkingen: It is a powerfull product to manage my projects.

Pluspunten:

Very easy and intuitive. Dependant tasks are very useful to set timeline. And finally the critical path.

Minpunten:

With Chrome, each time I open the application, it asks me to create a new book which is time wasting.

InstaGantt Platform

Opmerkingen: I discovered that, just yesterday and I became expert on this.
So I'm so gratefull for this tools and I defined that like my tools for following up my projects

Pluspunten:

Very simple to manage and to have a good understanding. You can generate automatically a Gantt, Board and Table.

Minpunten:

I tried to buy my subscription, it didn't work

Does the job

not complete integration with Asana, for example with Espected Hours and Actual Hours, if you have Asana installed in a language different from English (that appears strange because the fields are standard in Asana, but named in correct Asana language version).

Review

Opmerkingen: It is really easy to use, especially when compared to those in my organization producing similar schedules in Excel.

Pluspunten:

I could easily integrate an Asana list into a gantt chart / schedule

Minpunten:

More visual design options would be great such as enlarging a company logo.

Pluspunten:

I'm the only one in my company using this. I use it because I personally find it helpful. It was very easy to get started due to the free trial, and the link to Asana. After using Asana with Instagantt for a while it became clear that I didn't need Asana anymore. So for the past couple years, I've only used Instagantt. For me, the biggest benefit is the visibility of my project timelines and how they affect each other. I will admit that I am not using this software to its fullest. Probably far from it. However, I am interested in learning how and have just recently started inputting estimated hours for my tasks. My goal with that is to see if I'm overbooking myself and to get better an estimating hours for a given task.

Minpunten:

Again, I admit that I need to learn more about Instagantts functionality before criticizing. However, I will say that the user interface feels....clunky. I wish I could be more elegant with my response but it is a bit difficult to learn how to use at first. I find myself doing things a certain way because that's what I've found work for me. However, I'm not confident that's the best way to do it. It "easy" to input a project and add tasks and move things around. But having lots of flexibility inside a software can be a double-edged sword. Often I find myself being overwhelmed at all of the selections and options I have.

Instagantt Review - Digital Media Agency

Opmerkingen: Amazing! I love this product.
I was appointed in a position where they don't have any PM processes or software in place. I suggested other software products first. Once I tested this and simulated projects on Instagantt, I told our management team that this is what I will use going forward.
It is really inexpensive compared to other products on the marker.

Pluspunten:

Instagantt offers so much more as soon as you start playing around with it. It is one of the most powerful Project Management Tools that I've come across. It is super easy to use and can be customised to what you need it to look like. in our world no project is the same, which means we have to adapt and switch between PM Methodologies from project to project. Instagantt makes this really easy with the Gantt and Board views. I like the customisation of the columns on the gantt view. Reporting is really easy. Instagantt is also a great way of tracking project budgets.

Minpunten:

the only thing that I will change is to be able to export the board view as well.

Great Solution for visualising project task and management

Opmerkingen: brilliant, smooth & fast integration with Asana, love the extended functionality when used with Asana

You added a great feature to allow comments form Asana to be seen in Instagantt - I'd like be able to turn this feature on/off to prevent visibility to some customers at project level

Overall, I am very interested in this product because it is very easy to use.

Pluspunten:

Compared to other services, it is cheaper and more compatible with Asana, and the UI is easy to use.

Minpunten:

Cost aspect. With the yen getting weaker in Japan, we would appreciate it if the price could be lowered by 1~2$.

INSTAGANTT REVIEW

Need Custom Fields to be Impactful

Pluspunten:

overall easy to use. good timeline view that's compact and easy to see quite a few things all together

Minpunten:

the BIGGEST gap that we need is more custom fields. I want to use the Asana Instagantt integration - however it's not of any use unless we can import the custom fields over from Asana. That's how we can filter the work by important data points we use internally. It looses it's value without that.

Looked into several Gantt options, decision based on price & simplicity but miss a few features.

Opmerkingen: I settled for Instagantt after reviewing many options, based on its price and interface.
It works well but I still fear that using it with a larger team could be problematic. Will have to try an see how that goes.

Pluspunten:

First I'd like to mention that I use Instagantt to plan with Gantt charts only. Not as a management software because I think it would be too scarce for that for even a small size team. I like its price, simplicity and interface. Looked around into many and found this one to be easy to read and has a fairly compact view which I appreciate because it allows to see the big picture of the plan in one screen (most other options have extremely large o wide lines that allow you to see only a few tasks at a time). I like it is not over featured but has almost enough to work very well. I started using it as an Asana add-on but eventually we dropped Asana for Microsoft Teams and kept Instagantt as a stand alone app because Microsoft's Gantt options are far more expensive or extremely simple compared to Instagantt . That said, I do wish Instagantt could be integrated with Microsoft Teams and Task apps.

Minpunten:

I don't like that it has almost no security options, meaning any user could easily erase or modify the plan -if not careful- and it is extremely difficult if not almost impossible to reconstruct it well. I don't like it has no way to track back the changes or information on who did what and when. Even when it is possible to create Baselines, it is too easy to erase them by any user and there is no option to lock that. The "undo" option works in strange ways sometimes and it will redo some moves but not others. Although there is a mobile view, it is almost useless: you can see a plan but it's so difficult to modify it on the go that it basically works to see very basic information only.

System of payment - not very obvious to pay when you try to pay for a several licences and do it for the first time

More Features Please!

Opmerkingen: I have made Instagantt a hugely important piece of software for my workflow. If it was more suited for my industry, I believe more people would use it. It is buggy and I have to reload the page more times than I would like, but what you have created is critical to what I do. It is amazing. I think there is a bunch of work that could be done to help instagantt stand on its own, at least in my industry. I would love to chat more about that if you have 30 minutes.

Pluspunten:

Seeing our entire post production slate for is incredibly powerful when needing to make quick decisions on the fly. I can see a huge amount of data with a fair amount of ease.

Minpunten:

Legibility. One of the biggest problems I have is being able to translate the gantt into a customer friendly version. When exporting snapshots, I would like the ability to just show specific data points. Instagantt is great to plan the backend, but when I need to send the plan to a customer, it is too cumbersome. Another BIG issue I have is figuring out where one project starts and ends, due to the title of the project being as small as any column/section made in Asana. If the titles of projects were slightly bigger or bolder, I would spend less time trying to see where I need to pop something open with the plus button or not. A small issue is that when I change the title in instagantt, it does not change in Asana.

bang for buck

Opmerkingen: is good with decent developer vision. It is small price for many excellent features. it does not get pretentious about developing flashy and frankly moronic features as many other similar products develop, as if made for kids. instagantt keeps it on a professional, albeit basic, level.

Pluspunten:

Colums, As all other gantt chart programs it lack formula functionality between colum values. it sohuld work like and excel sheet with some added gantt chart functions.

Instagantt user feedback

Opmerkingen: Using instagantt it is easier to track the overall schedule of the project and analyze the workload of the resources involved.

Pluspunten:

Easy way to edit and view the overall schedule.

Minpunten:

The overview tab should be improved adding the possibility to explode the section and look at least to the first level of macro task.

Almost Perfect

Opmerkingen: Very effective management tool, but lacks some of the valuable tools that other programming software has. specifically locking a task and it actually locking. currently the lock doesnt work and other users can still move dates due to dependancy tasks. Linked tasks cannot be moved without affecting the other tasks. It would be more valuable to move the task, flag a conflict, and allow the user to decide what task to adjust to remove the conflict.

Pluspunten:

We use the software to effectively manage our entire project, for task tracking and workload review, accountability, forecasting and cashflows. It is very effective to have employees justify and confirm what they are doing, how it is progressing, with evidence. The ability to cut through what tasks employees are actually progressing, and what they only say they are, is very valuable from a management perspective. Instagantt is used to facilitate management reporting to our [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN].

Minpunten:

Whilst Instangantt can be used to open a task in Asana, we are unable to use Asana to open a task in Instagantt. This has resulted in programs being lost entirely, as we are unable to find them in Instagantt, but can still see them in Asana.
