A fantastic product for far less money!

Pluspunten:

RMM tools patch microsoft and some 3rd party products. The problem is, the number of applications with CVE's continues to grow and RMM patching is not keeping pace. PMP patches over 900 applications.

Minpunten:

Complexity of the agent deployment and approvals. Policy and group configs are a bit counter intuitive.

Best Tool to Patch Windows and non-windows applications

Pluspunten:

We have been using this tool for the last 1 year, we bought it to reduce vulnerabilities in all machines, and it helped to get it done in a few months, automated patch deployment also helped us to automate the patch process.

Minpunten:

Third-party apps patching can be improved by adding more apps like Corel

OK so far still in testing

Opmerkingen: logical and straightforward initial deployment having an issue but have not yet concluded if this is our environment or the config process. so far reasonably positive.

Pluspunten:

intuitive interface. logical config for groups. install is very next > next > next integrated with Tenable very easily which is a big bonus

Minpunten:

still at the testing phase. Have got PMP seeing all systems and it shows missing patches. it seems logical enough but having a couple of issues with the config to push out patches. however I haven't yet contacted support in any way which is my next step.

Inexpensive Tool forEndpoints Patch Management

Pluspunten:

I like that I can quickly see a condensed view of the patch installation progress for each endpoint. I could also run a filter and show only limited results

Minpunten:

Too many new build releases within a short period of time. This consumes too much time and the connected endpoints clients need to be updated as well. Due to remote work, users sometimes put off the updates until they are physically availabale at the office

Very useful tool for the infrastructure team

Opmerkingen: We migrated from WSUS and Patch Manager makes it much easier to control assets that need updates in general.

Pluspunten:

It makes it much easier to centralize the evaluation of patches to be applied.

Minpunten:

I haven't been able to find any negative points in using the tool so far.

My trial for Patch Manager Plus

Opmerkingen: While I think the patch deployment interface could be a bit more intuitive (I've used other products where the deployment path is much more straightforward), the support team has been quick to respond. We're migrating away from Azure automation due to a Microsoft enforced pricing change, and I'm hoping to use this product if we can get the issues worked out.

Pluspunten:

Support staff are quick to respond, it's easy to adjust the trial dates if needed and the server agent is very easy to deploy.

Minpunten:

My initial reaction was that the patch deployment scheduling didn't feel that intuitive, but the support team has been good with answering my questions, and the testing is still ongoing.

Opmerkingen: Overall this is really user-friendly patch deployment solution.

Pluspunten:

Considering other solutions, This has next-level agent-based patch deployment architecture and that helps me to hassle-free patch deployment. And also the dashboard is well designed and very user-friendly. For deploy patches, we only have to select the patch from the list and select the branch where we need to deploy the patch.

Minpunten:

the price of the client license is really high and need more bandwidth power to run this.

Automated Patch Management Solution for multi-OS

Opmerkingen: Everything, from the support to the user interface, has been consistently excellent.

Pluspunten:

The Manage Engines Patch Manager Plus is an automated solution for multi-OS patch management, and we are able to deploy it as per our need which means it is available for both Cloud and On-premise.

Minpunten:

I've been using it for an extended period, and I haven't encountered any issues.

ManageEngine Plus: Software Evaluation and Insights

Opmerkingen: Manageengine has been serving us very well for the third year carrying out updates to third-party software and our Microsoft environment.

Pluspunten:

A simple and intuitive interface makes it easy for users to navigate.

Minpunten:

So far nothing, the tool meets all expectations.

Fairly easy to use, deployment needs improvement

Opmerkingen: We were looking to patch the OS and applications on our Windows, Macbook, Linux and ESX computers... PMP covers everything except ESX. With a bit of reading, the interface is fairly easy to use.

Pluspunten:

It does not interfere with the built-in patching capabilities.

Minpunten:

The manual installation process was clunky at best, and we had a number of issues getting the GPO deployment script to work.

Cost effective and comprehensive coverage

Opmerkingen: Patch Manager has reduced our labour effort in monthly "Patch Tuesday" rollouts hugely, and also improved coverage as only an Internet connection is required for patch application and visibility.

Pluspunten:

The simple cloud-based deployment and management has been a major benefit for us during COVID in the shift to hybrid working. Whereas previously devices required an onsite or VPN connection for patch application and scanning, now only an Internet connection is required. This means our time to patch is massively reduced and consequently security exposure also reduced. Coverage of third-party applications is very good, and far exceeds the other products we looked at.

Minpunten:

The inability to precisely schedule patch timing can be frustrating, and the conversion of Microsoft hex error numbers into signed decimal error codes is annoying.

Patch Manager Plus Review

Opmerkingen: We used to manually patch over 250+ servers, now, however, we use patch manager to automate our patching process which frees up an unbelievable about of time with our maintenance process.

Pluspunten:

I really like the ease of use with this product, the reporting is layed out nicely, and the customer service is excellent.

Minpunten:

The initial set up of this software with our current infrastructure was challenging, but after that, it was pretty hassle free.

Trial - Patching Solution

Opmerkingen: The trial testing has gone great! We are looking for a patching solution and ME has been a great help!

Pluspunten:

I like the ease of setting up the environment. Pushing out the agents to the machines is an easy process. Being able to see the dashboard of what is missing is great! I like the fact I can push our certain patches if they are more critical.

Minpunten:

No cons as of now, but will add some as we use the product going forward.

Best patch management solution

Pluspunten:

Ease of deployment to all servers are workstations through manual deployments and auto-deployment rules. Third-party application deployment is a plus and the scanning regularly includes all the assets.

Minpunten:

There are some limitations for Java updates as we need to upload the patches manually. Another issue is with some agent uninstallation from the clients. Some agents are stubborn and do not uninstall easily.

Why we need Mange engine Patch manger plus?

Opmerkingen: My overall experience is when I start using this product I bit dought this tool will sort out the patching issues and now I think my decision is very right and I felt happy about my decision.

Before writing any review what is our mind ? why we write about this product, is this worth it or it's useful? , The answer is Yes, if write about the product it will reach the people they will decide what they expect and what they want. the overall agenda is to secure our systems. What I like most about the feature in patch manage plus are Automatic patch and patch testing. These both will give is a win-win solution for these patch management kinds of software. Automattic patch will easily save manpower and once you set up it will take care and patch testing will eliminate the bug-oriented patch that will install our systems. so my vote goes to these features.

The cons about this product really I need to think before I write the review. I use this product day-to-day basis and I think they need to improve the overall dashboard look and feel. this dashboard is fantastic but we need to customize the page. On rare occasions, the installation failed and we push it again and again.

Best bang for you IT budget.

Pluspunten:

Great deal for the money

Opmerkingen: Make sure it's complaint with Cyber Essentials, as I'm not sure it is yet. That's a UK regulatory thing.

Pluspunten:

Pretty great software, especially for the price. Would tightly recommend going for the full desktop central product as it does even more. Support is pretty good and usually responds / sorts problems quickly

Minpunten:

While overall good. There lack of a UK office makes things difficult from a support perspective as working in different timezones can cause delays.

Opmerkingen: Really wonderful service! Very intuitive interface, and it does what it says it does. Very powerful, too, as you can patch thousands patches. Management of devices is also very well-laid out.Installation of the agent is less intuitive. However, they have very clear documentation. Furthermore, and probably more importantly, their customer service is top notch. For every question I had, the customer service, the tech support, and the whole team was responsive, quick to respond, even with a “We’ll look into that.” Furthermore, their answers were informative, clear, insightful, and, above all, worked! Their team is robust and through.Ultimately, I am very happy with this service, as almost everything we wanted it for has worked perfectly, and the people who support its users are friendly, helpful, and diligent. Highly recommend.

Very intuitive interface, powerful, well-laid out.The Customer Service and Tech support is Top-Notch! Very responsive, quick to respond, and their answers were informative, clear, insightful, and, above all, worked!

Installation of the agent is not very intuitive. However, again, their tech support is fantastic, and every question I had they answered and helped me through to get me to the solution.

A simpler life

Pluspunten:

I love that I can automatically approve and push out updates - in many ways, a true 'set it and forget it' application. Although I do I check in frequently to make sure our organization is in good shape.

Minpunten:

There are a few places where the vocabulary is not the clearest, but generally speaking that's about it. Works very well and works across all platforms.

Patch Manager Review

Pluspunten:

The software is much better than WSUS. The company is on top of updates and making sure that the latest Microsoft updates are available.

Minpunten:

The lack of understanding how the program works from their support. Many times we would call in and their support would give help that was not relevant to our Cloud Hosted product.

Great patch management system!

Opmerkingen: I really enjoy the experience with Patch manager and we plan on keeping the product going forward.

I really like the patch management system overall. Its has helped us patch machines for all non-microsoft products, as well as replaced our windows update service as well!

Minpunten:

The only real negative is that if you do too much at once, the patching really slows down. But its not a big deal - you can work around it.

Works but is not a perfect suite

Opmerkingen: Patch all third-party applications and Windows update is easy.

Pluspunten:

Easy to set up, customize and deploy. Control over the devices and their pending updates.

Minpunten:

Online help is not too clear. Apply the missing patches and restart devices are not working if the user is not signed in. We can't deploy overnight. Drivers need to be applied from the manufacturer website because this software uses Windows update driver database.

Excellent Patch Manager

Opmerkingen: We're still in the trial, but so far this has been a vast improvement over our last Patch Management software system. Decided after 1 day of the trial that we will be purchasing.

Pluspunten:

Impressive feature set, and hugely flexible configuration. I'm pretty sure this software could be configured to automate patch management in any environment, no matter how obscure the requirements. ManageEngine provide a free one-to-one demo session for all new customers - covering any and all aspects of setup and use. 24 hour support through live-chat facility hosted system available, meaning rapid installation, and no server requirement huge range of 3rd party apps can patch drivers, and even (some) 3rd party a/v definitions

Minpunten:

Struggling to think of any weak points. If anything, it would be the time it might take to fully customise the solution to your needs - but that's simply a consequence of such a vast feature set.
