Jane in the most clinician friendly patient charting app

Opmerkingen: Jane has streamlined our patient note-taking tasks, as well as making our patient appointment booking system more integrated.From the very beginning, when I made first contact with Jane staff I felt that the whole team at Jane cared passionately about what they do.It is not often that you come across a company who don't just say they care about their Clients, but live & breathe their proclaimed ethos. I get the very strong impression that caring about people is who they are.From our experience, at Cornwall Podiatry, we feel the Jane Team care about us. And that care enables us to pass forward that caring attitude in our own professional interactions with our patients.Thank you.

Pluspunten:

We love the customisability of the Jane system. It is by far the most intuitive & feature-rich digital Clinical note taking up we've used. And we've trialed about ten different ones before deciding to move to Jane.It is also the easiest to use when running a busy clinic session. The templates can be custom designed for your own style of note taking, & can be customised on the fly with other templates as you need them.Each clinician can write their own treatment plans as Jane phrases which can be called up quickly with a forward slash & a 3-4 letter code. These phrases mean whole paragraphs of treatment which are regularly used can be inserted into the notes very quickly then edited for the specific patient as necessary.When duplicating a patient daily treatment chart the diagrams/body Charts etc are all duplicated ready to be edited to match that days treatment. Again making recording the patient treatment notes much more quickly than writing it all from scratch each time.Our administrative Staff loved the fact that patient Intake forms & contact data populated all the necessary fields instead of being manually transferred previously.Also the admin staff love the way Jane sends out reminders on Texts & Emails a few days prior to the patient's appointments.

Minpunten:

One feature which is missing is a seach facility within reports. Plus I'd really love more colours to work with on the body Charts & sketching.

The most used app in my practice.

Jane helps me with many aspects of my business. It takes care of intake forms, invoices, receiving payments, and chart storage which gives me more time in my practice.

Minpunten:

I wish I could message (email for example) my clients back and forth through the chart somehow.

I'd think twice before using Jane

Opmerkingen: Very poor staff support so far. First zoom call was close to useless and he just wanted to get off call and second one Jane staff did not show up for! Very displeased

Pluspunten:

Not able to set up software yet so nothing so far.

Minpunten:

Jane staff member did not show up to scheduled zoom call with no word or explanation. Multiple calls to try to set up new software with only minimal actual contact. They just don't answer calls or return voicemails

Great customer service

Pluspunten:

The customer service. They are all so knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. Especially [sensitive content hidden]!

Minpunten:

1) When I click on "Great" to the question "How would you rate my reply?" nothing happens, that button doesn't work. 2) I just lost a staff member (and all her clients attached to her) because she was not able to create her own treatments and classes without full access. This would be great for staff to have full control for treatments and classes for their clients. If I change her status from practitioner limited it compromises the confidentiality of other client files that do not belong to them.

Janeapp has painful bugs, but works fairly well once you learn the hard way about them, and how to work around them.

That it generally works well and looks good, as long as you don't mind being forced to use Chrome when you don't want to, and work around the other minor-ish bug of having to refresh the page, or quit and reload the browser to have the Documents and/or the appointments pages updated.

Minpunten:

Being forced to use Chrome. How many professional apps out there actually force one to use a specific browser? Also, as above, at times having to either refresh the page or even quit and then restart the browser to have the Documents and Appointments pages updated. I was suggested to put these in "Feature requests" - but it belongs in bug fixes "requests" as it has caused me grief.

Jane is very user-friendly. It is also intuitive. Templates are easy to follow and customize too.

It is a pricey software. Sometimes there are too many bells and whistles that only a large clinic would potentially use.

Jane is really easy for people booking appointments. You can choose between multiple services, times and practitioners all at once. It is really good for businesses with lots of different service providers.

Minpunten:

I find that my older family members sometimes have trouble with technology and this is no different. I have to book for them as they are too nervous to try.

Jane is the best software i've ever used!

Opmerkingen: I don't have a bad thing to say about Jane. I've used 3 other software's prior to Jane and they pale in comparison. I set up my own practise 2 years ago and I honestly feel Jane made the whole process so much easier. Thank you Jane - easy 5 stars from me.

Pluspunten:

The online booking, statements and billing documents, it integrates with stripe and phsyiapp, easy to customize forms etc. You can duplicate notes create phrases which makes writing notes quick and easy. Customer service is fantastic. Above and beyond any other similar service. And when you need to leave they send you PDF of all client notes which makes it a breeze to comply with data safe keeping.

Minpunten:

I wish they offered it in the country I am moving to.

Opmerkingen: I love the scheduling in the charting. This is why I switched to Jane. The problem is is that the bookkeeping and financials are absolutely critical To the success of any business. This is Jane’s weakest area.

Pluspunten:

Charting templates and scheduling are the best features.

Minpunten:

Financial reports and bookkeeping it’s a nightmare. I wish there was no unapplied and reapplied payments shown in the reporting. I wish making changes to payments did not result in erroneous transaction lines like “5/15 $15.00 payment, 5/15 -$15.00 payment, 5/15 $15.00 payment. Sometimes the software settings is confusing- it asks me to set commission rates for an apt type then asks me to set commission settings per practitioner which resulted in me underpaying my staff for a whole year until we audited everything. It was a nightmare. Also if one of my front desk receptionists accidentally selected a practitioner when selling a package it overpaid my staff. Another auditing nightmare to figure out correct commissions resulting in back pay to my employees, even one of them quit over this issue! In the audit I even found the software paying a staff member $25 commission on a “1st late cancellation” which we do not charge the customer for. Generally, Jane’s customer service is great but all they told me about this issue is “that is not Jane’s intended behavior, we don’t know why it did that, we are working to figure it out.” After not hearing back from them for a long time, I sent them another message asking if they had figured it out and received the same reply. I am forced to audit every commission report now every month so if you are somebody who pays commission based practitioners a warningabout commission distributions. Always double check the software cannot be trusted in the financial area.

Opmerkingen: Excellent! I recommend to other colleagues frequently. Jane makes running a clinic easier, customer service is top notch. They always have the answers and are so kind holding your hand if need be through any processes or inquiries.

Pluspunten:

The easy switch! Jane helped me every step with moving all my data over and starting with Jane at a new space. Also how compliant they are with our provincial regulations for heslthcare providers.

Minpunten:

Sometimes i feel overwhelmed with features! It seems that Jane has so many features, I in fact dont take the time to learn how to fully make use of the program because I feel overwhelmed with all the options.

Great Experience with Jane so far!

I love that I can get help if needed through email or over the phone and that I am always talking with a live person, not a recording. I love that I can literally take care of my billing, my scheduling, my payments, and my notes/charting all in one place!

Minpunten:

I don't have any complaints yet, I just wish that I better understood the insurance side of things but I honestly think once I start sending claims through it will became really easy for me, I just need practice.

The Help Desk is Awesome!

Opmerkingen: I have really liked using Jane, once I understood it. It makes checking people out really easy, and it allows them to add in a tip for their therapist. Cancelling, moving, and changing appointments is very easy on Jane.

Pluspunten:

Whenever I have a problem, I can call the Help Desk or use the Chat feature for help.

Minpunten:

Jane has some good training videos, but they are very basic. I would love to see more in-depth videos. If you are in charge of training employees in Jane, don’t just have them watch the videos and assume they are ready to go. The Jane Demo Clinic is a great way for new employees to practice.

Cost effective, easy to use

Opmerkingen: The customer service team is beyond excellent. Everyone has been helpful, informative, and understanding. I have utilized, email, chat, and phone calls for assistance and this, to me, is one of their biggest selling points. As a clinician, my focus needs to be on patient care and if someone can help me with the other stuff, then I am at my most efficient.

Pluspunten:

The process and documentation is very fluid and eliminates unnecessary reproduction of information.

Minpunten:

Nothing. I am in the first couple of week of use with Jane and haven't yet run into anything I have had trouble using.

Easy for charting and patient documentation.
