Pluspunten:

The ease of setup and getting started. Not a lot of complicated steps and the fact there is no monthly or hidden fees. It’s pay as you go so you can afford to use it while you build and start to maintain your customer base growth.

Minpunten:

Sometimes a card won’t go through that’s valid but that could be a bank thing with customer cards so I’m not totally sure with that one.

Stripe

Opmerkingen: Used once for a conference and then had to set up again for another conference. Was unable to do so as they required information which was different than previous. Was unable to set up payment because of Stripe's new restrictions. Strip was slow to respond to questions and did not solve the issue. We had to accept cash at the event as well as had to invoice people.

Pluspunten:

First use was successful but second time was not.

Minpunten:

Unhelpful feedback from Stripe employees.

Stripe Billing

Opmerkingen: I use Stripe for customer payments, and overall they are good and easy to use. No fuss, and nothing ever goes wrong.

Pluspunten:

Stripe Billing is fairly easy to use and can be integrated with other software, to make the process a lot quicker and easier.

Minpunten:

The fees for each card payment aren't always clear; there's a fee for using stripe and then a tax fee on top of that. The User Interface isn't the best, and looks quite outdated, but it does the job.

Clients sometimes complain about the amount of personal information that stripe requires in order to complete a transaction.

The perfect payment processing platform

Opmerkingen: I switched to stripe from my previous payment processor and haven't looked back since. I thought there was going to be a ton of HTML coding involved, but the stripe client portal made onboarding new clients and transitioning my existing clients super simple.

Pluspunten:

Stripe does not have a user cost. The only fee's are the processing fees per transaction. I also really enjoy the dashboard- so much data for the average user.

Minpunten:

The size of the stripe platform seems to scale for major corporations, as a one man business, I wish I could scale down the features to de-clutter my platform.

Stripe for the win!

Opmerkingen: It is the industry leader for a reason. It is fairly seamless and issues arise more so because of the systems that integrate Stripe are unable to use it to its fullest capacity.

Pluspunten:

It is very easy to use. The interface is very clear.

Minpunten:

Recurring billing didn't integrate through the platform we use Stripe for, RecDesk.

It was user friendly and didn't make you fill in a bunch of unnecessary information.

Stripe Billing makes managing recurring subscriptions and invoices incredibly easy. I love the automated billing features, the flexible pricing options, and the seamless integration with my website and other business tools. It's like having a dedicated finance team, without the overhead.

It is generally user-friendly, navigating the more advanced features and customization options can take some time to master.

Easy to use

Opmerkingen: It's mostly easy to use, I can send clients links to pay or just take the payment myself on the call with the client. It does take some time to get the money to my account, which can be frustrating, and the fees can be quite high.

Pluspunten:

It's easy to take card payments from clients

Minpunten:

The fees can get pretty high, especially for larger payments.

Te easiest to use platform

Opmerkingen: It's the set-and-forget kind of thing, once you set it up the first time, you might as well leave it there and never get back to your dashboard.

Pluspunten:

It's extremely user friendly and you can get started in no time, it's unlikely you won't find the UI easy to use and intuitive if you have a little bit of experience. Besides, you can integrate it with just about ANYTHING and that's a huge plus because of the versatility it allows. I don't really use the invoice customisation, but I tested it and it's a breeze.

Minpunten:

Maybe there are not too many payments methods available. I also think that, if you don't have any experience with payment/billing/invoicing platform, the learning curve could be a bit steep.

Perfect for one time payments and recurring

Opmerkingen: Very satisfied. Definitely great for when you are starting out and even with an established business.

Pluspunten:

I like that I can use it directly as well as integrate it with my own point of sale system. I used to have to pay for a software that could do both one time payments and automatic recurring subscriptions but this beat them out. I work mostly from my computer and its easy to get into and if I can't remember how to do one functions I can easily get what I need from their support forums or support chat.

Minpunten:

Only thing this won't do is notify me if a payment doesn't go through, but there is a quick fix for that. I just use zapier and now I receive an email notification if that happens. Oh and I had a chargeback once I'd like to see an option to upload multiple documents for disputes not just one. I get that there is only so much file size available in messages plus my contract took care of that issue.

Stripe is straightforward

Opmerkingen: Stripe has been a driving force in my business as it relates to invoice and billing.

Pluspunten:

Stripe offers a straight forward billing and invoicing system. The verification process is two questions and from there one can take accept payments. Some of the payment options are ACH, bank, and credit cards. The payout is usually two days.

Minpunten:

Sometimes there can be a delay in the verification process.

Did what I needed it to, but may be better for larger companies utilizing more reporting.

Opmerkingen: Overall, it was helpful for what I needed; recurring monthly billing.

Pluspunten:

Decently easy to set up & use. I like that I can receive daily payouts vs lump sum weekly (though I believe you can set it up that way as well). It connected easily to the other platform I use for recurring monthly billing.

Minpunten:

The dashboard can be a bit hard to navigate. I sometimes struggle to find the report/information I'm searching for & so I waste time. No ones ever a fan of fees, but I understand why they're there. However, it wasn't made abundantly clear what the fee percentage would be when I signed up & I had a hard time finding exactly what that percentage was, as it didn't show up on reports, It only shows the dollar amount deducted. I will admit that I don't have a large company or run many reports & so I usually am just looking at income & payouts.

Stripe review

Pluspunten:

Stripe Billing is an easy convenient way to invoice and track customers with or without having to create a subscription. Also, most of the fields are customizable which allows to add our company flare to it.

Minpunten:

Subscriptions are much harder to manage than they make it seem to be, also if an invoice needs to be amended the due date cannot be kept the same which is a hassle.

This was an easy set up process and was not complicated. It took about 10 minutes to set up.

Have the option to export to excel spreadsheet.

It's Useful for Foreign Currency Transactions

This was very easy to set-up so that I could sell my online ebooks. It required no work on my part once it was set up.

You don't use Stripe Billing? I am about to make that change.

Opmerkingen: I am fairly new to Stripe Billing. However I find that this software has been the most user friendly meaning I have taken a massive liking to it. I use this software daily, I am obsessed. This has cut my time in half for tasks such as invoicing over multiple accounts and is now my go to software for tracking down payments. Stripe Billing is essentially my account diary. Even the way the website itself is presented, it is very plain but high quality and appealing to the eye.

Pluspunten:

My favourite part of Stripe Billing apart from the fact it is the most simple platform to navigate through is that you can search a guests name, amount they have paid, or through the traditional date method to find out when a transaction was deducted. You can save yourself much stress and time by using this process.Using Stripe Billing is a no brainer. Would you like to save yourself time and a headache over finding previous transactions? Start using Stripe Billing for a smoother process.

There isn't too much at this moment that I would change about Stripe Billing. Apart from I wish they Stripe Billing would include a BACS payment invoice, this is the only thing that I feel is lacking. However Stripe Billing are extremely responsive and takes customer feedback seriously. I would not be surprised that after my review is published, this idea was then turned into a reality by the Stripe Billing team.

Stripe effectiveness

Opmerkingen: Organised biling, invoicing and payments can be a difficult job, my finances needed a reliable platform that can be effective with the amount of documents I process each week. I discovered stripe at a correct time and it helped me to be efficient more than ever.

Pluspunten:

Stripe stands out of its competition, its helpful, the fact that subscription on stripe is very easy, you can invoice directly from the website, it integrates perfectly with cloud-based accounting softwares, the dashboard is simple enough to log into and transactions via the phone are convenient and you have alot of information about stripe at your fingertips, very helpful.

Minpunten:

Despite the good things that I know stripe with, sometimes payments takes longer, up to a week(s) to be deposited in one's bank accounts, stripe comes with no hardware to process transactions like some of its competitors, searching is too slow and doesn't seem to be updated often.

Still not easy to navigate and understand by a non-developer

It's so essential to so many online businesses and does so many detailed things. I love that I can essentially use it for free and only get charged when a client makes a payment. I love that recurring billings, products and subscriptions can be created easily. I also love that I can see the whole past history of any customer.

Minpunten:

It still needs to be simplified to be understood by a non-developer. There are fees that are not too transparent or still confusing as I have customers all over the world and have to pay differing charges. Overall, it doesn't make me confident at all to use Stripe Billing as a stand-alone tool for all my invoicing, billing and subscription needs.

Glowing Review - One Of The Best Payment Processors

Without a shadow of a doubt, Stripe is one of the best payment processors out there. From integrations with web platforms, the ease of use, creating invoices, and everything in between that's needed for a small business. I completely trust Stripe and use the payment processor.

I would prefer lower fees and faster transfers, but as it is - I'm still satisfied with their service.
