betere software te kiezen
Over Sketch
Digitale ontwerptoolkit voor het bouwen van apps met een ruime keuze aan ontwerpsymbolen die kunnen worden hergebruikt en gedeeld met de ontwerpgemeenschap.
And, the cost is way cheaper than Adobe ($99 flat vs. $52.99/mo). It's kind of like if Adobe XD and Photoshop had a baby.
The following features that I don't like most in Sketch are. Missing cloud storage feature.

sketch review
Pluspunten:
It is used for vector designing free of use
Minpunten:
i have no dislike in usage of sketch and it is not difficult

It's a good design software, especially if you start small
Opmerkingen: It's still a great design software with flexibility and ease of use. If you want a cheap, commercial licence, go for it. A lot of integration and compatibility :) Worth the money for sure!
Pluspunten:
It is still possible to edit SVG files; it's super helpful and still not supported in Figma. It's a cheap licence if you start with a design.
Minpunten:
Definitely lost the first seat to Figma. Cooperation online, direct changes, no fuss just design is something that is still hard to work on in Sketch. It simply doesn't work in the big companies anymore
Great tool for UI/UX design.
Opmerkingen: Sketch is a powerful vector-based design tool widely used for UI/UX design, particularly among macOS users. I like its rich ecosystem of third-party plugins, extends its functionality for animations, handoff, and collaboration.
Pluspunten:
user friendly, can input resources or info into Sketch by one click.
Minpunten:
the layout is outdated, not so trendy and tech-savvy

Its on of the best tool for UI/UX designers.
Opmerkingen: The reason why people are switching to sketch from other software is that unlike Adobe illustrator, Sketch is designed by designer for desgner for digital interfaces specifically. The UI and tools are designed in way that they are easier to use while the plugins help users to go into the detail of a particular action.
Pluspunten:
One of the main reason why people choose sketch over other similar software is its plugins. Plugins link Autolayout, Magic mirror and Git sketch makes your life easier. It can be easily connected to Invision for easy prototyping and presentation. It is also extremely easy to learn sketch if you are trying to switch from Adobe illustrator or photoshop.
Minpunten:
I find that Sketch is almost perfect while there are a couple of things that can be improved like the software is only available on Mac OS and not on windows which makes it difficult to share editable files with some clients and freelancers. Unlike Figma, sketch which doesnt allow to access your file from anywhere and also doesnt allow multiple people to work on a same file.
A tiny bit pricey
Opmerkingen: I use it for everything – web design, mobile apps, icons, you name it. Before Sketch, I was juggling a bunch of different programs, and it was a real headache. This is way more streamlined and intuitive.
Pluspunten:
Absolutely love how easy it is to create and edit vector graphics. The interface is clean and uncluttered, which makes it a joy to use. And the plugins are a lifesaver! They add so much extra functionality.
Minpunten:
Honestly, can't think of anything major. Maybe a tiny bit pricey, but it's worth every penny for the time it saves me.
Sketch is perfect for iOS and Android app design
Opmerkingen: Overall, I'm very happy with Sketch. It's a perfect compact design tool thats great for app design specifically. This is none better for this. If for general design, then perhaps better tools and software exists.
Pluspunten:
I've used sketch since 2014 to create iPhone user interfaces, their icons and promotional material. It's very easy to create, share and distribute images and vectors.
Minpunten:
I purchased Sketch outright when I first started, then a few years later they bought in a subscription model. Now I am forced to pay a yearly sub in order to maintain the latest features. This I felt was unfair at the time and still feel a little bitter about. That being said, it still works out cheaper than other design software overall, even when paying yearly. I also think their vector creation tools could be a little better. I have a separate piece of software to make vectors. Sketch is pretty basic.
Easy and straightforward platform
Pluspunten:
I think it has a lot of great feature, and is very easy and straight forward to use.
Minpunten:
Can be hard to work on the same file with other designers

Fancy app design tool
Opmerkingen: Provides robust agility for designing Application prototyping.
Pluspunten:
The sketch is also great for designing amazing prototypes.- It's user-friendly with a well-optimized workflow framework- Rich in typography, icons, and colors- Also online based- Integration versality (polyvalent )
Minpunten:
- It still lacks advanced components for wireframing and design mockups- It's expensive - overall design quality is inferior to alternative apps like Figma
Sketch to Success
Pluspunten:
Easy to use and very reasonably priced.
Minpunten:
Not all of our designers will use it which is unfortunate.

Sketch used for creating user interfaces,
Opmerkingen: Overall, Sketch offers collaborative features that facilitate teamwork and feedback. Designers can share their designs with stakeholders, receive comments and annotations, and collaboratively rework designs. This has allowed us to streamline the design review and feedback process.
Pluspunten:
Sketch offers a wide range of design tools and features to create visually appealing, pixel-perfect designs. It includes features such as symbols, tables, layer styles and a powerful inspection panel, making it effective for designing complex user interfaces.
Minpunten:
Limited platform compatibility: Sketch is currently only available for macOS, which means it is not accessible for designers using other operating systems such as Windows or Linux.
A Powerful and Intuitive Tool for Vector-based Design
Opmerkingen: As a user of Sketch, I appreciate how easy it is to create vector graphics and designs using the software. The interface is user-friendly and the design tools are intuitive, making it easy to bring my ideas to life. I also enjoy the large community of users and resources available for learning and troubleshooting. However, I have encountered some issues with the software being slow or buggy when working with large files or complex designs. Additionally, as a Windows user, I am unable to use Sketch as it is only available for macOS.
Pluspunten:
1.User-friendly interface with intuitive design tools2.Optimized for creating vector graphics, making it easy to scale artwork without loss of quality3.Large community of users and resources for learning and troubleshooting4.Support for plugins and integrations with other design tools5.Regular updates and improvements to the software
Minpunten:
1.Only available for macOS, limiting accessibility for some users2.Limited functionality for photo editing or working with raster images3.Some advanced design features may require plugins or additional software4.Can be slow or buggy when working with large files or complex designs5.Steep learning curve for beginners who are new to vector-based design

Best Vector Graphics UX/UI Design Tool For Creating iOS & Other Apps
Opmerkingen: Using Sketch has been a great experience for me. I've crafted some excellent and quite complex designs for new apps. I will continue to use Sketch going forward.
Pluspunten:
I love Sketch and use it as my main app design tool. While there is a bit of a learning curve, I think it's worth investing the time to learn Sketch, particularly if you're designing user experiences and interfaces for mobile apps. The ability to create and use templates and components makes it extremely versatile. Also, the design tools, symbol libraries, and editing features make Sketch the best UX/UI design app I've ever used. Further, you can add plugins to add capabilities to Sketch. I use several. One of these allows me to export a design as code directly into Xcode! This saves time when coding a new UI.
Minpunten:
There's little I don't like about Sketch. The only thing I could think of needing improvement is in creating gradients in the Appearance section of the Inspector. While this is extremely powerful, I find it a bit confusing at times.

Great, lightweight tool for UI design
Opmerkingen: Whenever I need a UI project Mobile or Web I just think of Sketch, it is intuitive to work on those kind of projects and the size of the outputs are really small compared to other softwares.
Pluspunten:
I liked the focus they put on UI design, with lots of templates available in the community, with specific toolsets that were think with UI and somehow also UX in mind (prototyping). I really liked the versioning new feature that came out for Sketch cloud, although I would like to have it for free for personal uses without collaborators.
Minpunten:
It's hard to make illustrations when coming from other softwares that I used to use from Adobe, and for project that are not related to Mobile or Web doesn't look that easy for me to use or achieve my design projects.
Eerder overwogen alternatieven:
Robust and reliable
Opmerkingen:
Moving from Photoshop is a bit of a philosophy change, but one you get used to it, the whole design process starts getting much (MUCH) faster. After all Sketch is a design tool and not a photo editor. Functions are being added all the time or fixed or improved and mostly it saves clicks and valuable time.
The only issue are shared libraries and collaboration, which the product clearly was not inteded to have included at the time it has been layed out. But hopefully, this will change in future releases.
Pluspunten:
You can feel the robustness of the software. It is quick, but at the same time you can feel how it was built with intent. The UI sets the standard of similar design tools and gets constant updates which lead to more productivity and ease of use.
Minpunten:
The ability to collaborate on a project is limited. There is a Sketch Cloud, but generally it is no match for other on-line design tools.
Sketch is still valuable, but got behind on Figma
Pluspunten:
I like that it's easy to use, the files don't get too big, and I have full controle over the files. My clients can't adjust the files themselves.
Minpunten:
It's hard to share designs in progress. To make a design library is better in Figma than in sketch. You still have to count pixels, while in Figma this is not the case.
It’s great!
Pluspunten:
Customer service and friendly to students.
Minpunten:
I needed to use craft to replaced sketch mirror.
One of the best UI design tools in the market
Opmerkingen: Being a UX and visual designer, Sketch has been the primary software on my computer for years now. Loved the product since its initial release and had been an advocate and a supporter mainly due to how it disrupted the UI design software field. I would like Sketch to improve to keep up with their competition since many designers are now moving to Figma just like how everyone moved from Photoshop and Illustrator to Sketch. Still would recommend any designer to go for Sketch.
Pluspunten:
Sketch was the revolutionary software that introduced UI/UX and visual designers with a tool created for that specific task which is creating interfaces. The vector graphic software doesn't limit you there; you are able to create posters, logos or even billboards with its intuitive and easy to learn clean interfaces. The toolbars consist of the standard functions and operators which you usually find in such software. The power of Sketch is beyond the limitations of your own imagination I would say. The symbols feature allows you to create reusable visual components which come in handy when designing multiple interfaces of a product or an app. Going a bit further, these features allow designers to create design languages and design systems very easily as well. There are hundreds of plugins that could be used to further ease the workflow. Sketch also integrates with other tools like Invision (prototyping) and Abstract (version control) which allows the creation of an ecosystem for the designer.
Minpunten:
Sketch in recent years has got multiple competitors like AdobeXD and Figma which sometimes make Sketch fall behind the race in terms of features and functionality. Learning from the failures of Sketch, the competitor products always try to provide better value for money while optimising the workflows for the designer. Major updates from Sketch at most instances lately have been extremely buggy which sometimes even took weeks for them to release a patch. Sketch is only available on Mac which also limits the cross-platform support, unlike its competition. If you are designing a product that has multiple artboards (50+), Sketch tends to become laggy and resource-consuming even on the latest i7 Mac with 16GB of RAM.
Sketch from a Person who is not techie
Opmerkingen: The problems solved by using Sketch are the ability to quickly and easily create user interfaces for mobile and web applications. Sketch provides tools for creating vector graphics, typography, and icons, and provides features like art boards, grids, and rulers for precise layout. Sketch also allows you to collaborate with other designers and developers, and to share and export your designs in a range of formats. The benefits of using Sketch include the ability to create high-quality user interfaces quickly and easily, as well as the ability to collaborate with other designers and developers. Sketch also allows for easy export of designs in a range of formats, making it easy to share and integrate with other applications. Sketch also offers a range of tutorials and resources to help users learn the product, making it easier for new users to get up to speed.
Pluspunten:
-Sketch is an intuitive tool that offers a wide range of features for quick and efficient design work.-It offers a wide range of plugins and integrations, making it easy to customize the design experience for specific projects.-Sketch is easy to learn and use, even for those who are not familiar with design software.-It has a variety of export options, making it easy to share designs with others.
Minpunten:
-The pricing structure can be somewhat confusing and expensive for some users.-The vector drawing tools can be somewhat limited compared to other design software.-Sketch does not offer a web-based version, which can be inconvenient for those who need to work on the go.Pricing Comparison to other services:-Sketch is generally more expensive than other design software and services, particularly when compared to free or open-source options.-Paid plans for Sketch are more expensive than Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, but offer more features and tools.-Other design software, such as Figma and InVision, offer more affordable pricing plans.

Graphic design oriented to the digital world
Opmerkingen: Following this logic of order and registration, we create an additional file called "Style" in which we describe all the elements and their possible variations. With this document it is easier for developers to take separate elements and assemble the site. It also helps to maintain consistency in the work of the different members and avoids problems caused by interpretations.
Pluspunten:
A great point in favor, was that we use this program from the information architecture, so the compatibility is ideal, the best thing in web design is that it has an automatic grid system that is very easy to handle. The two previous functions facilitate unexpected changes and corrections, since when changing an element is automatically updated throughout the site. The files are very light, they can be exported in PDF, PNG and JPG, even at twice the size, since when working with vectors, there is no danger of pixelation of the elements. Multiple artboards can be used in different sections. This allows you to develop all the templates of a device in one section and thus have your pages divided according to format. Shape elements, such as a rectangle, are used with the same logic as CSS, so when moving to front you can easily copy the styling.
Minpunten:
It exists only for OS X Mac, which means that all the equipment I work with must use this operating system. It is not good for image editing. It has some basic tools, but to define a style you have to use another editing program first. It is not possible to go back one step when modifying a style, you have to go back to the latest version, so it is necessary to constantly save the changes.

A full-featured but simplified prototyping tool
Opmerkingen: I absolutely love Sketch as prototyping software - the cons are honestly very easy to overlook because of its overall ease of use. At my company, we use Sketch in addition to other design software to meet our needs - Sketch serves as one (very useful) tool in the design process. It certainly isn't a solution for every design need but it meets ours very well - when we need to throw together a UI for either a demo or for an ideation session, Sketch is our go-to.
Pluspunten:
Sketch is easy to get up and running with - even without previous prototyping experience (such as with Adobe Illustrator to build components or using Adobe XD for building interactions), a few hours with Sketch is enough to get familiarized with the software. The inclusion of symbols in Sketch is a huge pro - coming from Illustrator, I was already aware of their application and advantages. That knowledge crossed over easily for Sketch and allowed our team to prototype web and mobile designs quickly and efficiently. Another huge plus is the community surrounding Sketch - their own documentation and a strong community means it's easy to get answers to questions you may have about tooling.
Minpunten:
In building out vector graphics, I still prefer Illustrator. Sketch is limited in the number of features that it has, and I've found that many people turn to third party plugins to make Sketch work for them. That can lead to headaches (additional documentation to learn, maintenance of that third party plugin, getting help quickly for those plugins, etc). Another issue is that Sketch doesn't have support for collaboration. They have a beta version of "Sketch Teams" that will likely be moving into production in the near-future. As it stands, the closest we can get to making Sketch work for teams is Symbols, Libraries and Shared-Styles.

Master software for apps development
Opmerkingen: It's an amazing software very especially for digital icons creation. Beginners of mobile app creation can start with sketch and will definitely love it. Navigation is and user interface is undoubtedly great
Pluspunten:
Its focus is on digital designing. Thanks to its prototyping features that allow me collaborate with other masters of app development especially when I need help. I love most its content creation that do resize automatically. It's an amazing app when choosing a software for app development.
Minpunten:
You won't love it if you want a print design as well as illustration. This software is limited to only holders of Mac machine which is not a good idea to me. There must be a flexibility in its platform.

Still the best
Opmerkingen: I use Sketch daily to create user experience designs. It’s really the best tool out there right now.
Pluspunten:
I love how quickly and easily I can get ideas for interaction design out of my head and onto the screen. I love using symbols to speed up my workflow, and having global colors is great! Sketch really enables me to work effiecently. I combine Sketch with other third party apps to make prototyping easier (even though Sketch does include some basic prototyping). Working with my developers is so much easier because of Sketch. I really couldn’t do my job without it.
Minpunten:
Number one complaint is font styles management. It seems like no matter how hard I try to manage my font styles for a design using Sketch it quickly grows out of control. This includes duplicate fonts styles, non-applied styles, and just chaos in general. This tool could be vastly improved. I also dislike how slow it can get when using some third party plugins. I know that isn’t neccessarily Sketch’s fault, but there is one plugin in particular that I use daily that almost grinds the app to a halt.
Best in-class design software for Product designers
Pluspunten:
It is amazingly easy to get started with Sketch. There is very little learning curve to get started. It is designed for product designers and you can produce your UX/UI work a lot more quickly than using other software, say Illustrator. The keyboard shortcuts are intuitive and easy to remember, ie R for Rectangcle , L for Line. There are also a lot of 3rd party plugins and integration you can use to do pretty much everything. You can check your color contrast, you can build flow diagrams, you name it. What I like the most of Sketch is it's keeping up to date with the modern product design process. The new Sketch 52 redesign is fantastic, offering killer features like shared styles in symbols. This immediately became the way we build design system.
Minpunten:
The only complaint I have with Sketch is the vector tool. It's kinda cumbersome to use compare to Adobe Illustrator. It is hard to do detailed icon or illustration work in Sketch.

One of the best vector graphics editors that exists
Opmerkingen: My experience has been excellent, with absolutely no complaints about this software, I have really managed to design absolutely all the work I have done with it without any problem and without counting that the software is so well optimized that it does not hang at any time and allows the work to become dynamic, entertaining and fast, in addition to how simple its interface is compared to other software allows you to easily achieve what you are looking for, unlike other softwares where you have to try and try again and again up to achieve what we mentally think.
Pluspunten:
I love this software because of the possibilities it gives you, and the truth is that compared to its competitors it is easier to use and more intuitive than the others, it is perfect for designing websites and advertising material, besides having integration with other plugins or tools that facilitate many things, also the management of the different boards is much superior to other software, being much faster and optimized. And a very important feature for me is that it allows you to have the CSS at hand and therefore edit it, it is totally amazing for the creation of websites besides the prototypes you have to start from them are very good.
Minpunten:
I have no complaints about this tool beyond that it can only be used with Mac Os and therefore those people who do not have devices that can run this operating system can not make use of this software, and the other thing is that the price is somewhat elevated, but worth it without a doubt.
Sketch replaced all our other design tools
Opmerkingen: Great product for beginner to advanced designers, it works great to prototype and preview designs right from Sketch, making your life easy. It has a bast collection of templates and libraries to accelerate your design process.
Pluspunten:
- It has everything a designer would need - It has toons of great addons and plugins - it works for advanced to beginner designers - I like the prototyping tools to link pages between them - loads easily giant files - the missing fonts warning is great, it allows you to know exactly what is missing - export 1, 2, 3@x is a piece of cake - pricing is not bad, for large group licensing is not expensive - presentation mode, easily hide all toolboxes to focus on what matters most - huge community that makes it easily to find templates and free samples - Symbol management is great, it is a feature that allows you to basically template your own designs most use pieces to not repeat yourself - copy/paste styles, it will allow you to copy sizes, colors, spacings, etc.
Minpunten:
- image tools lacks extra features, you are just allow to crop and use the magic wand - no image distortion, only an un-useful transformation and rotation - most of the great stuff has to be made using 3rd party libraries, would love if the basic feature included more capability for image - sometimes old software version won't allow you to open new versions files forcing you to upgrade your version -
