Wix is great overall, though accessing some advanced features and integrations is better suited for higher-tier plans as your project grows.

Love Wix website builder

Opmerkingen: Overall, I love this platform and all of the things that it has to offer if you choose to do it yourself and I love all of the information but there is a lot to know. I would not suggest it to anyone that does not like to put effort into building a website or that has never done it before because over the years it has grown very complex and luckily, I have tried to grow with it. I would recommend having a Wix professional do it for you.

Pluspunten:

I like all the options that you have to build a website the information available, and the explanations are so very helpful. The fact that i can do it myself and put what's in my head in my website with absolutely not an ounce of prior experience. I like to learn and know how to do all aspects of my business and when I become wealthy enough to have someone else do it I can understand more. But I like it and think it is also fun for my creative side.

There's so much to know. But its not the fault of Wix it's the facts of a growing industry and its complexity.

Wix- Pros and cons

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with Wix hasn't been satisfactory and I have used other better platforms which give better services and solutions to their users. Though among many cons it is good for beginners who are just starting with website design, hosting, backlinks, and everything as it gives you everything in one place which makes it easier for people to start with their journey but being a professional I found it pretty average as there can be more complex and intriguing features to have vast users community and definitely make it little more pocket friendly so that it is accessible to all.

Pluspunten:

One thing I like about Wix is the availability of templates and the ease of reformatting while making a site or landing page. It's a beginner-friendly platform as it gives you backlinks, SEO tools, and almost a designed website with a few clicks. Another feature I like is that it's user-friendly; you don't need proper website design knowledge for it.

Minpunten:

1. The site keeps on crashing and it lags a lot which makes it difficult to work on it making a website on Wix feels never-ending and even SEO features don't work very well you can do only a basic level of work on it. 2. Though it offers templates, they're very basic and don't offer complex designs, which makes your website look interactive and attractive. 3. Pricing is insanely high and they change their prices as they please which makes it less pocket-friendly their competitors have better plans with better features and services. 4. Customer -service is also not that great as they take a good amount of time to reply to you back and resolve your issue.

My experience with Wix

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with Wix has been quite positive. It’s very user-friendly with an intuitive drag-and-drop editor, making design easy even for beginners. The wide selection of templates keeps the site looking modern and professional, and there’s a good range of apps for added features. However, the limited export options and occasional loading delays are small drawbacks. Overall, it’s a strong choice for creating a polished site quickly and with minimal hassle.

Pluspunten:

I love its drag-and-drop Visual Editor, which allows you to customize any element of the site. It's ideal for beginners. It has a wide variety of modern, fully customizable templates for every industry. They're very diverse, so your site will always look professional and appealing. Additionally, you can build a personalized website with AI based on what you request.

Minpunten:

What I don’t like about Wix is that it doesn’t allow exporting the full site content, which means starting from scratch if you want to migrate. Some apps require additional payments, which increases the total cost of the site. Sometimes, sites created on Wix can be a bit slow to load, especially if they have many visual elements, apps, etc.

Customer service & their attention to detail on every call. I truly appreciate their help and support to help me elevate my business offerings.

Minpunten:

The Bot to get me to a live person. When I need help, I am impatient working through the different assessment questions to get to customer service when i need them.

Great for small business

Opmerkingen: I am a small business owner with a 15 year IT background. I no longer wanted to perform IT duties and wanted a website platform for my business that wouldn’t consume significant time to maintain and manage content. It ended up taking me almost 6 months of web development to launch my site due to Wix’s unavailable mass import for products (they have the feature now and it’s great). I had to do a lot of custom coding on the backend to make my website function for my particular product set because of limited tools and resources at the time. While Wix has been a fairly stable platform that requires little upkeep, the developers do often make changes that affect the websites function without any prior warning or documentation on resolution. For a while, I had to check my website functionality daily, just to make sure they hadn’t made changes that prevented website users from searching for and purchasing my custom goods. The past couple of years (2023-2024) have been somewhat better in terms of changes that significantly impact the website’s function. Overall, I am happy with the platform, but if I hadn’t been an IT professional, Wix (or any other platform) would not have worked for my particular product set. If you have products with few product options, Wix would be great. My unique products often have 100’s of different configurations for a single product with well over 3 million product SKU’s. These simple, easy to use, website hosting platforms are not designed to support this type of product set, but I refused to go back into IT just for my website and knew that in the long run, it was best to have a hosted solution, like Wix.

Pluspunten:

The point and click editor was an initial draw to Wix. Wix was also the only platform that would allow me to have the custom product options that my products require.

Minpunten:

The developers constantly change things without providing any documentation and frequently kill features that destroy your websites useability, design, and layout. Support (although 24x7 priority support) is virtually nonexistent. They answer the phone, but I don’t think they have ever actually resolved anything.

A Stress-Free, Flexible Website Builder with Endless Possibilities

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with Wix has been fantastic. It’s easy to use, with lots of flexibility to create a unique website without needing coding skills. The templates are beautiful, and adding features like an online store or blog is super straightforward. Whenever I had questions, the support resources were really helpful. Wix made the whole process enjoyable and stress-free!

What I love most about Wix is how easy it makes everything. The drag-and-drop builder is super simple, even if you're not techy, and there are so many great templates to choose from! Plus, the app options let you add features like online stores or bookings in just a few clicks. It's quick, flexible, and lets you design a website that looks amazing without any hassle.

Minpunten:

The only downside with Wix is that once you choose a template, you’re pretty much locked into it unless you want to start from scratch. Also, while the editor is powerful, it can feel a bit overwhelming with so many options to choose from. But overall, it’s still a great platform for building a website.

Wix Review

Opmerkingen: The large variety of templates means you can immediately get to work and look at a ton of ways to have your site look within minutes. Searchg functions even mean you can directly filter for your intended site type. The tools once you choose the basis to begin with are simple to grasp.

Pluspunten:

The clean and bright interface along with intuitive, sectioned-off design that lets you quickly prototype sites for various different purposes such art hosting portfolios or a blog site. There are also strictly finance-based sites like online stores.

Minpunten:

Not much to dislike, aside from getting used to it if you started on other software, it stacks up to contemporaries like Adobe's XD application for example.

Wix - the best all-round web management platform.

Opmerkingen: I've been using Wix for several years now and think it's the best all-round web management platform for most users. For ease and convenience, there's nothing that works better.

Pluspunten:

Wix is my favorite web design software. Far easier than WordPress to pick up, it offers a user-friendly interface and lots of options. Its media manager is intuitive and offers many ready-made options. The designer for events listing is clear and concise, and provides audiences with an easy-to-read and quick shopping experience.

Minpunten:

My least favorite thing about Wix is that to look up answers to questions can be a long and roundabout process. Their help function is less helpful than Googling.

My preferred web development software

Opmerkingen: Overall my experience with WIX has been great. I love building sites in WIX and now that I am familiar with the platform I can quickly and easily build new sites or edit existing ones.

Pluspunten:

I personally love WIX. I've used it to build several sites (many with booking software integrations) and the sites always work wonderfully. I love that I can easily make edits and I can duplicate my existing sites so I don't always have to start from scratch.

Minpunten:

Some items can be a little buggy at times, but it's never been a huge issue and I've been using WIX for over 6 years now.

Easy way to create a professional and beautiful website

Opmerkingen: I have been using Wix for almost 10 years, for several websites, always my experience has been good, the process to create and mantain the website is very smooth.

Pluspunten:

Is easy to use, efficient... you can create easily an quick a new website. Additionally it has a lot of integration with plug-ins and tools.

Minpunten:

I think its strenght is not in e-commerce, i think they could more capabilities for e-commerce (i.e. shoppify is the king in e-commerce). Also WIX is not the cheapest, but I think Wix have a lot of advantages.

Was amazing, now I can't upload anything even when I delete almost all of my uploaded data

Opmerkingen: It was good until the massively cut storage space, now I am not really able to use wix at all.

STORAGE SPACE!!! THERE IS NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH STORAGE SPACE! If I wanted to upload a couple of my professional photos to the website 3 photos would take up a majority of storage space the website allows under free use

Non-present to Real Time Presence

Opmerkingen: We were able to recreate our website, improve it, and offer enhancements quickly and easily. Our need to book events and track ticket buyers is important to our identity. Events are an important revenue stream for us. We direct customers to the site for menu and beer options, what's happening and other specials. It is our source of truth.

Pluspunten:

The ease of use. The content management capability and simplicity is what got my marketing and customer team on board and to adopt this as our primary web tool.

Minpunten:

It took a minute to figure out the add-on features, where they were and how to use them.

My overall experience with Wix

Its drag-and-drop editor, making it easy even if you don't have coding skills. I also like the wide range of templates, apps, and features that cater to different businesses, small one's, personal blog, or online store. Additionally, the platform's integrated SEO tools and analytics which are very helpful for optimizing site performance and visibility.

Minpunten:

If you decide to switch to a different template, you have to rebuild your site from scratch, which can be quite time-consuming. While Wix offers many features, some advanced customization options require upgrading to more expensive plans

Almost Perfect, A Dozen Steps Away Being Wonderful!

Opmerkingen: Pros:
1- Very easy to use and time saver for any level of web development,
2- Safe and fast servers,
3- High quality library. Cons:
1- Expensive,
2- High renewal prices,
3- Extra costs,
4- Slow customer support. Overall, if you have a budget to use for it, it's definitely worth it. But there is no any cheap alternatives for the presented technology.

Pluspunten:

Wix probably has the most efficient design tool for creating a web page. It's not only working with templates, also, you can create your own templates. You can easily add segments, like text, images, video, etc. Drag and drop features are very effective and useful. Besides this, contact page features are also very useful. I set up my contact form easily and this is a very complex process if you are not a web developer with WordPress and other types of platforms. I like the main panel too. I did my webpage responsivity for mobile phones and tablets with a couple of clicks. Also, they have a really good library. You don't even need to pay for images to Stock image platforms. Overall, I have my own website in Wix and plenty of accounts for my customers. Wix is totally a time saver. I'm not afraid of revisions after I start to work with Wix. Even though I have high experience with WordPress, my first choice is Wix. If you are a very beginner with Web page design, you can set up a professional-looking website within 2 hours and this is really great.

In my opinion, Wix has a great developer team but l can't say the same thing for the marketing department. 1- You can start using Wix at very low prices. They always offer %50 or even higher discounts for the first year. But after 1 year, you need to pay almost equal to 3 webpage costs. 2- The Wix premium domain does not include an e-mail account. You need to pay really high prices for each e-mail account for each person. Standart domain services is already have e-mail accounts. For every single customer, I also purchase a domain account from a different company and direct their e-mail account to Wix. This is a very exhausting process. 3- Last thing is, customer support is very slow. Once, I needed urgent help and I could get a response after 2 days. Also, you can contact Wix in your main language. But customer support is based in the USA (I think so) and you need to set your timezone for a phone contact. This is a serious minus for me.

Great to start but not for serious websites

Opmerkingen: I like Wix for the ease and to simply have a website as a brand front (a page for people to land on) or to maintain a blog. However, this was not going to be a lasting choice for me because ai wanted more out of my website. I needed more customization than I could get from Wix (free version).

Pluspunten:

Very user-friendly with many customization options available through their templates and the drag and drop system to build a site. It is easy to build a polished-looking website quickly so I would recommend it for website novices.

Minpunten:

Mostly little tech issues bug me, like: not being able to switch templates once I've started on one, slow-to-load pages, or how I cannot input some coding to improve the functionality/appearance of a page. It can be restrictive if you want to do more with your website.

Working with WIX

Opmerkingen: Our overall experience has been a positive one with WIX. We are very pleased in how it has assisted us with our design firm.

Pluspunten:

We enjoy the marketing tools. We use blogs, newsletters, and email campaigns, and we can control all of these via WIX.

Minpunten:

In our experience, it was the learning curve. It did take us a bit to figure everything out; however, WIX offers fantastic "how-to" videos with a simple search. I haven't found an issue I couldn't figure out with the training videos, I just hope they would be categorized a bit better.

Powerful All-in-One Platform That Keeps Improving with New Features, But Has Room for Improvement

Opmerkingen: The customer service is good and the contact numbers can easily be found. I hate it when I need to contact customer service and businesses either don't have an option to talk to a human or they make it extremely difficult to find the phone number.

Pluspunten:

I like the new Wix studio interface that is a mix between a standard website builder and Wix's customizable features. The new interface is simplified and easier to use than the past editor. I also like that it is an all in one system that accepts payments, has an online store, email marketing and even a digital course feature. I also love that Wix Studio is set up for your website business to be successful with the option to sell templates, create a client click, or get revenue from your clients wix packages.

Minpunten:

I don't like how visitors need to create an account before purchasing your online course. I think it's one extra step that might be the reason someone wouldn't want to buy your course. The editor can be slow and glitchy if you don't have fast internet. You might need to hop on and off the editor a couple of times to edit your website.

Could not recommend this product more!

As someone who was new to the world of webpage development and overwhelmed by all the options, Wix was the perfect place to begin. Its user-friendly interface was time saving, sanity saving, and allowed me to better direct my energy towards the creativity aspect of the process. I was able to build a strong online presence without the hassle and stress. Plus, I love that it gives you templates based off of your needs/business to help offer the insight of what will work/look best from a user standpoint.

If you want to build a professional looking website quickly, I highly recommend using Wix

Opmerkingen: The chairman at a non-profit that I volunteer at, was complaining about the cost that website designers wanted in order to replace their very old-fashioned website. Although I have many years of software experience, I had never built a website before. I looked around and there were many recommendations for Wix, so I decided to have a try.
I found the software very easy to use, with lots of built-in tools, all of them very configurable. Within 2–3 days I had a professional, working, website. Because of financial limitations, I only used their free tools, but those were enough for what they needed.
The site shows off who they are, what they do, their past and current projects, their future activities, their current and archived newsletters. It has a sign-up for email updates, a contacts page and even a donations page that accepts credit cards.
I will probably add a blog, so that our volunteers can talk about their experiences.
The chairman was overwhelmed, especially when he saw that the hosting would cost less than they were currently paying.
And, given how easy the tools are, I even volunteered to maintain in the future.

Pluspunten:

It was very easy to set up a very professional website in a very short time, despite having no previous website building experience.

Minpunten:

So far, I have found very little to dislike.

Opmerkingen: Wix has been amazing for building websites. I've been using it for years, and it's been incredible to see how it has evolved and improved over time. The addition of AI has made it even better to use, providing more creative ideas. I highly recommend Wix for anyone in need of a website, regardless of the purpose.
