Most robust VPN out there - but watch out for pricing

Opmerkingen: Overall it's the superior VPN provider so despite its drawbacks it's the best of the bunch. I've used it in the UK, Mauritius, Thailand, Egypt, Australia, and a few other countries and it's always worked well.

Pluspunten:

It's reliable, it doesn't randomly disconnect, and you have control over the countries and servers you can choose. It also doesn't seem to affect internet speed and seems to be the only VPN that reliably works with online streaming services. Works well on both mobile and desktop.

Minpunten:

It's a bit more expensive than other providers and if you don't check your plan they increase it without asking... Also my desktop app seems to want to restart every other time I open the laptop which I don't think is normal or it's at least inconvenient.

My honest opinion about using NordVPN

Pluspunten:

First, in my country, there are some websites we normally use to access to gather information like school related lessons on the internet to teach my students which in case I require a vpn service in order to access some of the websites that are blocked. Nordvpn gives me the option to freely access the internet without any restrictions whatsoever. The connection speed is blazingly fast even if the vpn server is located thousand of miles away from my location. Features like kill swtich are useful for me as to prevent me from using VPN service to some of the software that don't require it. I also like the deals of Nordvpn, especially if you considering for buying long-term, you should buy it as it is more worth it than buying short terms like months which you will likely pay more most of the times.

Minpunten:

Sometimes, there are some issues that can surface if I am trying to connect to the server, like connection timeout in the midst of connecting. Some servers require more time than others to be able to connected. I also find the performance to be slow for the first time of opening it. Navigating through the app is okay at best.

Solid product but they will steal your money

Opmerkingen: Product is great but customer service is terrible. I was 2 days late in canceling my subscription, but they refused to refund my money for the month even though I hadn't used the service in those 2 days and no longer needed it. They said it went against company policy, but that's really just an excuse to steal my money. Make sure you stay on top of your account if you purchase their product, or they will screw you.

NordVPN - Not a bad solution

Opmerkingen: After the initital troubles I set it up and it runs all the time. When I want to access some country VPN for whatever reason I can do it quickly. Overall, it is an OK VPN app but I wouldn't say it is the best there is.

Pluspunten:

I like the main app screen which directly offers to quick connect to a VPN servers. Also, the main screen offers the option to easily switch server in the selected country but also change it right there and connect to another country. I like the option of encrypted storage.

Minpunten:

The fact it took me two days to set up the app so it works and lets me open pages on my mobile device, I had issues with page loading even though I set up everything according to their knowledge base. Also, the support is fast but don't have a lot of answers except for those that are already available on their pages. I was connected to 5 or 6 agents in 45 minutes until I gave up and managed to solve the issue myself.

NordVPN and the wonders of cloak mode

Opmerkingen: I wanted to use Nordvpn because of the cloak mode for websites that block vpn.

Pluspunten:

The fact that it has an feature that allows website to not detetec that you're on a vpn proxy connection is super

Minpunten:

The prices are exorbitant but for that cloak mode it's kinda worthy.

NordVPN - always stay safe

Opmerkingen: NordVPN is a great VPN app, the best I used until now. Is easy to use and setup with a good price. It has many useful features and a good connection for almost all countries.

Pluspunten:

The most I like the browsers extension, it let me browse with the VPN without installing the app on the PC, is useful as I use multiple devices. Another useful feature that I really like is the Darkweb monitor, it informs me whenever my credentials appears on the list from the Darkweb so I can change them.

Minpunten:

Sometimes the extension takes some time to connect.

A good way to stay safe online

Opmerkingen: NordVPN is a comprehensive VPN app full of useful features that secures the internet connection from potential threats. Is fairly priced and offers fast connection around the world with many servers available. If you just want just a secured connection or content from other countries NordVPN is the perfect app.

Pluspunten:

The ease of use the a main reason for using this service, the app is easy to install and setup. I sometimes use just the browser extension, witch is an excellent addition, to browse safely on the web when I use other than my main device. Another thing to mention is that is available for all devices, PCs and smartphone.

Minpunten:

There is nothing to dislike, everything work great.

Pricey, but a good product!

Opmerkingen: A straightforward VPN app, fast and secure compatible with any OS from PCs or smartphones. Dark web monitor feature from NordVPN is a good tool to keep you passwords safe and away from hackers hands.

Pluspunten:

NordVPN has the fastest connection between all the VPNs apps i ever tried. The setup of the app is easy and there are many locations you can choose from with fast connections. I also like the browser extension , it provides a secure connection just for the browser if you need the initial connection for other apps on the PC.

Minpunten:

The Firefox extension is establishing the connection with the server a little slower, is not a deal breaker but you need to wait for a few seconds until you can start browsing.

Opmerkingen: NordVPN is a complete online security solution for most users. Is easy to use, fast and witch a fair price. It also come with Dar Web Monitor feature where it informs you when your credentials are found on the Dark Web.

The app is easy to install and use on PC or mobile devices. Even if I use a few location, NordVPN has many to choose from and the speed is very good. Another great feature I like are the browser extension, I use them on the PCs where I don't want to install the app but I want to browse safe online.

Pluspunten:

The most important feature for me is the availability on all devices i use. The app is available on both Android and IOS and it can be used as a browser extension. It offers me a security layer online for me and my family. Another important feature is the Dark Web Monitor that informs me when my passwords are leaked on the dark web.

Minpunten:

There are no cons for NordVPN, and i have used it for some time now.

Opmerkingen: One of the greatest VPN, is available on mobile, PC and as a browser extension. There are a lot of servers worldwide, I can connect to the nearest server or even on the other side of the planet. Worth every cent.

NordVPN is easy to use, setting up the account and the software is easy. Browser extensions are does a great job if you have more PC and want to browse privately. Another good feature is Dark Web Monitor, you are informed whenever your password is found on dark web, helping you keep you accounts secure.

What I like about NordVPN is the simple fact of how safe I feel whenever I’m on the Internet. I love that I can browse what I want without being targeted for ads or the possibility of somebody getting my information just from something simple I think Nord VPN is a great VPN for anyone that doesn’t know anything about them, they are very self-explanatory on what they do and how do use it in the benefits of using NordVPN.

Sometimes the price of NordVPN is the only thing I don’t really like about using this VPN, but the service is well worth the money you’re spending for it.

Great value, easy to use on all devices

It's easy to forget it "on", but given it doesn't cost more to use it more, that's a null point. You might just realise some search results don't seem right, until you switch back to your home country.

Protecting My Moves!

Pluspunten:

I use my network a lot for gaming & streaming, but I have noticed significantly less issues since I have started using NordVPN. I don't have crazy pop-ups & I honestly don't feel like anyone could ever get anywhere near my information if I keep using NordVPN. I love it!

Minpunten:

Getting started with using NordVPN was a bit of a hassle, but that was most likely due to me & my lack of knowledge with technology.

Excellent tool for data privacy and location services

Pluspunten:

Nord is easy to use. A couple of clicks and you're set up. Able to connect to many countries just by clicking on them. No set up or technical experience necessary. Regular VPN servers work very well and have near 0 connection issues. Able to bypass most geographic restrictions without big websites noticing.

Minpunten:

I only have to complaints about Nord. First, the log in credentials are stored in the browser. If you clear your browser cookies you have to log back in to Nord every time. For people who prefer privacy, this is a horrible choice for login credentials. Second, Nord's P2P servers often have connection issues, poor performance for P2P.

Don’t get stung

I have been a nordvpn user since 2017 happily it just worked and never really thought of it. Was under $70 dollars a year so just kept it going.
They added a feature called NordPass, never used it but it was included for free so didn’t mind. This year I get direct debited over 5x my normal purchase price. The same day of the deduction I Contacted them to see if I could do anything about it, keep the service just take of the NordPass because I don’t use it. They wouldn’t do anything. Told them I wanted to cancel the service and get a refund they refused. These guys used to be great, but now they’re just on a moneygrab, ignoring 6+ years of customer loyalty.
Be careful of this mob! They’ll sting you!

Simple interface, originally the prices were quite attractive

Sneaky billing and costs, attractive costs for new users but they stick you with free products then charge for them

Paid didnt receive an activation email.

None, I have paid for the service through paypal and didnt receive any activation email.

The fact that you will pay and still not have an active account is unacceptable. I payed through paypal and didnt receive any activation email. downloeded the client nothing came up. Also got my username and password and still says i need to activate. Got my paypal receipt for proof of payment. Unacceptable. i will dispute this charge the moment it clears.
