One of the things that has fascinated me the most is the versatility and ease that it offers to edit and create tablatures and scores, but what has really impressed me is the possibility of reproducing the compositions that I have created, since in this application I can faithfully reproduce the sound of each instrument, allowing me to hear how each chord, each arpeggio and each solo sounds.

Minpunten:

Sometimes when I try to edit an existing chord or add a new one I find it a bit cumbersome and not as intuitive as other features within the software. It would be great to have a more intuitive and friendly interface for chord editing, simplifying the process and increasing efficiency.

Guitar Pro The Melody to Your music career

Opmerkingen: It is a great software to learn the basics to the advanced functions of guitar and make music like never before , i'll personally suggest every beginners who is eager to create something with guitar must go with this software.

There are plenty of things i could write about guitar pro as far as i have experienced , some impactful features are :-1.Easy syncing of music 2. Adding of instruments is too easy3. Bsic import export features are too easy to use being a user friendly guitar tool it is the best way to create your best work into reality . By using guitar pro 8 , i literally seen a sudden change in my music quality anfd confidence over the chords.

One thing i don't like about guitar pro is it's lag while importing multiple audio file in one go , it creates a distorted frequency notes which is annoying.

I like this software. It helps me with my guitar arrangements and putting my music to paper. It has a lot of options to make life easier and does a great job of that! I like the Tab-editing also.

They changed the Pro 7 up and the interface gets confusing. I'm getting used to the new interface, but why change what's working.

Every guitarist, maybe even musicians, should be aware of Guitar Pro!

Put very simply, Guitar Pro is one of the reasons I am as accomplished as a guitarist as I am today. When I was 18-19 yo, starting to use Guitar Pro (it was version 3 at the time) completely change the way I learned music. I had struggled for years to try and learn to play music by Dream Theater; their music is complex, technical, and normally quite long. Having Guitar Pro allowed me to break down the pieces, focus on specific sections, and gradually work up the parts. It still took a lot of work, but I was finally able to get the songs down. This lead to me working with a variety of different musicians, bands, and people who ended up becoming my current business partners.We now run a private music school in London, Ontario, Canada and make use of the latest version, Guitar Pro 8, on a daily basis. It is perfect for providing charts, creating exercises, and I even use it for putting together my own original compositions.As I said in the title, if you are a guitarist you owe it to yourself to spend some time working with Guitar Pro. It has something to offer for every player, even if just as tool for developing your own ideas.

Minpunten:

The only complaint I have about Guitar Pro is that the interface for building or editing instrumental parts that aren't guitar or bass are rather awkward. Although I prefer using Guitar Pro, I've found that the interface when building drum and keyboard parts is much more intuitive when using a program like Sibelius. However, there is a reason they don't call it "Drum Pro" or "Piano Pro" :)

Highly recommend

Opmerkingen: My experience has been incredible, To all guitarists, regardless of ability level, I would heartily suggest. There are a ton of other helpful and educational resources available to support your ongoing guitar playing development.

Improvement to your finger

Opmerkingen: I'm a musician since 1981 and the more i learn i the process i can say that every method is allowed. Guitar Pro is a sweet way to go beyond our expectations.

Why should I buy guitar pro?

It is a tool that really makes life easier for music producers and session musicians. I can display the amount of ideas that I require at the moment, I can modify them as I want, it is great because we can get as creative as we want since the software gives us some ideas that feed our projects

For all those who have not had experience with similar software, it will be a little complicated and tedious at first, since with so many functions it can overwhelm beginners.

Best Software Out There For Making Music

Opmerkingen: I have been a user since Guitar Pro 4 and the now using Guitar Pro 8, the software has come a long way and hope another version will have even more features. We have published some tablatures using Guitar pro 4 which are still being accessed by people in the internet so It has been a great experience using Guitar Pro.

Pluspunten:

The ability to make tablatures with such an ease is the most useful. We also have been benefited by Guitar Pro to make awesome music for practice and making a midi music sound almost real by using multiple instruments is just too good. I personally learnt many songs to play in guitar by the help of Guitar Pro.

Minpunten:

There is absolutely no issues with the features of Guitar Pro. I only hope for a discounted pricing on Guitar Pro 9.

The best Guitar Tab Tool out there

Opmerkingen: Guitar Pro is one of the best notation tool out there. It is easy to handle and fun to play with. There are some problematic elements but it doesn't affect user experience in a critical way aside from some minor disgruntlements.

Pluspunten:

Most of the notation tools makes notation look and feel very complicated and eerily impenetrable. But Guitar Pro makes it seem easy and completely approachable - which is very important for those making their first steps in music composition. Guitar Pro is probably one of the most accessible notation tabbing tools out there. It is extremely easy to master and very comfortable to use as a lean mean composition tool. It is especially useful if you have limited music education and just want to lay down your ideas. From the user experience perspective - it doesn't get any better. If you know the notation basics - it will take a couple of minutes to get around Guitar Pro's interface. The way the composition process is organised is very streamlined and allows many tweaks without getting tangled. Ever since the 5th version introduced realistically sounding instrument samples, Guitar Pro also became a very interesting tool for sonic experimentation. Sure, it is very limited in comparison with a full-fledged digital workstations - but it offers an interesting experience, especially from a 6th versions which introduced sound effects.

Minpunten:

User interface might seem dense at first and it takes some time to get used to it. From a compositional standpoint - every instrument that is not fretted string one - is limited to the guitar-based tuning. Basically it limits the composition process to laying down the basics while fleshing out will require more specific software. The notation layout itself is somewhat clumsy and got some very irritating traits. Hot keys are messy and you often get confused over which combination does what. It is not critical but might bring you some discomfort. Version 6 and 7 often crash, especially if you try too hard with the RSE.

Guitar Pro( Friendly user)

Guitar pro is the best software where i came across. Specifically what i liked about guitar pro is “score writing” I used to find difficulties on this now it has made easier.

I most liked is guitar notation showing to create new music and customize also compose the chords, music and guitar can be tuned using it's polyphonic tuner which is great.

I least like about the software is there are so many effects and features needs proper guide and it cost to upgrade to new version, other all thinks are fine.

Opmerkingen: After the small learning curve, focusing on learning the UI and locations of all the menus and options, this software has become a versatile tool in my arsenal. Translating pure ideas into things far greater and for deconstructing music to learn, adapt and overall bolster my skillset.

The sheer flexibility of the software is perhaps its greatest strength. I first started using Guitar Pro to learn music - how to play certain songs or sections of songs - but that very quickly evolved into something much more. It was my gateway into musical composition; from electronic music, to metal and even orchestral pieces. The variety of instrumentation available is amazing and being able to compose music for instruments without having to know music theory - just using the simple and very easy to learn guitar tablature. It's a good introduction to MIDI as a whole and having the option to write something on your guitar, translate it into tablature and export as a MIDI file to use with other software or virtual instruments destroys a huge barrier of entry to general music production and to composition. The greatest thing about Guitar Pro is what it enables users - from all skill levels - to become.

Minpunten:

The UI can at times be very easy to get lost in and often finding the right option or tool can take a while longer than perhaps is ideal. I feel the program as a whole already acts as a great introduction to music production, but I feel like blending more DAW inspired features would be a good move to bring the software into the toolbelt of producers as opposed to just those learning guitar or bass.

I've improved so much using Guitar Pro, being able to see the notes, and earn licks is so valuable!

Opmerkingen: Take your time and learn Guitar Pro, it's totally worth it! Tempo control, instrument and backing track control, and an enormous library of prescored music. I've been able to improve in ways I thought I couldn't because of this software.

I switched from using Sibelius to Guitar Pro's software and am very happy I did. One of the best parts about Guitar Pro is the library of thousands of prescored songs. I can find almost any popular song that's out there. This is so much better than googling tabs and chords, and my playing has improved a lot because of this. Not only that, but the ability to pick the tracks I want to learn, by soloing specific instruments, makes the usually difficult "learning by ear" method so much simpler. Guitar Pro has also helped me increase my piano proficiency with its instrument soloing feature. Best feature of all is the tempo change which allows me to take things at my own pace.

Minpunten:

The biggest area for improvement for this software is that Guitar Pro 7 took a step back when trying to change the individual tuning of strings on the guitar. There are too many intermediary steps, previously in Guitar pro 6 it was as simple as clicking the guitar icon and choosing up or down on each string. The interface and the method to get there takes too many steps. Hopefully they can add the old option for people.

The Best Music Teacher ever!!!!

Opmerkingen: I have started using guitar pro since 2007 and still, i am a fan of this software. I teach guitar to my students and refers to them as a must-have tool to learn more guitar tricks.

A digital music teacher that provides each and every notation clearly, With precise sound effects, tempo control and vast usage library in ultimate guitar provider.

Guitar Pro taught me to play the guitar

I learned playing the guitar thru Guitar Pro. As a person who has problems reading time signatures of notes and keeping time, Guitar Pro has aided me as I am able to listen to the pieces with the proper timing. I then just need to follow the pace. I eventually became good enough to play without the assistance of Guitar Pro but I still use the software every now and then to learn a piece or two. Many people are using this software to compose which means there is a vast collection of guitar pieces.

Minpunten:

I don't really have much to say in terms of negatives for the software. One thing is that it can be taxing on the computer. I use an old laptop and I have observed that it can take a while to load and the transition of the music sheet to each measure can get delayed at times.

This helped me to learn to play new songs and also to improve my guitar skills

Opmerkingen: Guitar Pro has helped in improving my guitar skills immensely. Also, it has benifited me in easily being able to find the chords or tabs of the songs i need. I would highly recommend this software for beginners as well as for pros.

The best thing i like about this software is that it has a library of thousands of both popular and unpopular songs. I always use Guitar pro to look into chords when i'm playing the guitar in parties and get togethers with my friends. It is easier and more accurate than googling for tabs and chords. Furthermore, it is also very easy to use as it can even edit music notations in many instruments such as the keyboard which is another instrument I use.

One issue that i have faced when using Guitar Pro is when tuning my guitar. sometimes it doesn't give accurate readings. However, this does not happen all the time. Also, i find the later versions with more errors than the previoes ones. For example, the software has crashed when i was using it.

It is ideal for creative musicians

It is an ideal tool for people who work with music and is also ideal for people who have music as a hobby, it is a great tool and i love it in particular and it is very useful because i work with music, i am singer and i often cover many songs, so i use Guitar Pro to fix the music tracks and to translate the tablature to instruments, Guitar pro offers me a wide bank of sounds and different instruments and is easy to use.

Guitar Pro is totally great, but i think it could improve the sound of some instruments to make them look more real, like for example the sound of the metals (wind instruments), this is one of the most difficult to emulate.

Excelent practice software for musicians and non-musicians

Opmerkingen: They simplified the interface and you can show or hide the sections not used, when you practice guitar you can mute the guitar track to play along with the other instruments, the RSE is pretty good for drums, bass and synth, so, if you have a good transcription of the song you can use it a you backing track for your shows.

Pluspunten:

It has a ver accurate and simple guitar execution engine wich allows you to visualize the tablature or partiture of a particular song.

Minpunten:

Since the 7th version the speed trainer can't be personalized as previous versions, so when you want to practice incrementally, it only has a fixed set of speed from 70% to 100%, this is so limited when you are practicing metal solos...

Really cool program

Opmerkingen: I really loved Guitar Pro, I bought it years ago for me and my son but my son really took off in the music field and learned to write beautiful music starting with this software. We used tab and chart and has a nice store of musical instruments to choose from. I thing as far as musical programs you can buy you can't go wrong with this one. You can export your music and lay down multiple tracks. The software just really is fantastic for learning to play, learning to compose and as a teaching tool. The fact that they improve it so much as the updates keep coming is just another testament to how great it truly is.

Pluspunten:

I bought this program years ago and it just grew as I progressed in the music field. I was easily able to open and set up the program and get started right away. I like that it continued to add more options and selections in sound as the years went by.

Minpunten:

I struggled at first finding things and found it lacked a nice easy interface in the beginning. It took time but as I learned to write music as well as read music that I loaded in it became easier.

Learn to play guitar independently but well

Opmerkingen: I went from playing a few songs with internet tablatures to understanding scores, and even composing my own cancones, I use it even as a backingtrack

Allows you to see the songs with score and tablature at the same time lets you go step by step allows you to edit with simple clicks, compose and listen directly with the hundreds of professional quality sound effects of guitar, bass, drums, wind instruments, etc. Although its name indicates "guitar" you can configure it for bass, ukule, among others.

Minpunten:

You must have a PC with very good features and it is recommended to have a dedicated sound card. Let's install it has in 5 pc, but if you want a lite version or for a single user you will not get it

Essential software for any guitar player

Opmerkingen: Without Guitar Pro, I would still be struggling with basic songs, which is why i can definitely recommend it to any other musician in need of a good software to read or write music!

Guitar Pro is one of the most important tools a guitar player may use to improve their skills, or write their own songs. I've used it to learn through other people's tabs, and to write some of my own scores.

Minpunten:

Unless you're musically educated, it will be quite hard to figure out how to use this software effectively and quickly, when writing your own content.

The best app for guitarist !!!

Guitar Pro is one of the best tools for guitarists to learn music and learn songs. If you are searching for an instrument that will get your playing to a higher level, or you need to make your own melodies, look no farther than Guitar Pro. Not exclusively will your playing improve, however you will likewise create as an arranger. Guitar pro can teach us how to play most of popular songs, chords, and melodies, and can even be the same as the original !!! I enjoyed and love using guitar pro, it makes me better playing guitar !!!

I think the only downside is that the midi sound isn't that great, but that doesn't bother me at all

Guitar Pro (for Piano Pros, too!)

Opmerkingen: Guitar Pro is great for creating and editing sheet music of all kinds. I used it specifically for piano, which didn't pose much of a problem despite the name of the software.

Pluspunten:

I picked up a free trial of Guitar Pro a while back when I considered writing my own music. I play the piano, so I was worried that the software would have its limits, but it functioned quite well for me! Guitar Pro lets you create and edit sheet music to your hearts content, and contains all of the necessary symbols, clefts, beats, and notes you might need. I'm a casual musician, so I don't have a burning desire to use any over-the-top mechanics, but the fact that they are available is nice.

Minpunten:

I used the free trial, so I didn't get to utilize all of the software before said trial ended. But I enjoyed what I saw.

Very powerful, but is it really needed?

Pluspunten:

Guitar Pro has evolved a lot since it's first edition. It now features a depiction for virtually anything one can do on a stringed instrument, and its sound banks make it sound pretty much like the real thing. Guitar Pro is not only an application to help you play along an existing work, it is now also a compositional tool.

Minpunten:

With all that being said, I have to say Guitar Pro is not the tool I personally need anymore. It helped me evolve to the point I do not need it anymore, and this is the reason I have stopped using it. I now use a certain open-source alternative that I do not have to pay for, which just shows me the tabs and plays along for me to practice. Perhaps they should replace their time-limited trial with a lite version. All that being said, Guitar Pro is still the best high-end score writer for guitarists.
