User-friendly interface on both cPanel and WHM. Wide range of features like alerts, server monitoring and SSL installation.

Minpunten:

The software pricing is a little expensive. CPanel does not support Windows OS, other than that it's a one in all solutions for website management.

The Standard For Web Hosting Management

Opmerkingen: Set as the industry standard for web hosting I find cPanel & WHM to have a very smooth learning curve even for noobs.

Pluspunten:

The fact that the community has embraced cPanel & WHM for decades makes support easily accessible with a simple web search and it's documentation and wiki comes in very handy.

Minpunten:

The licensing for the duo is quite expensive for startups and small business.

Easy tool, but you should know what you're doing

Opmerkingen: cpanel is the stock tool from our website host, so I've only ever known this tool. Despite not being an IT/web developer, I feel pretty confident I can get whatever I need to do done for my website, though I am always fearful I'm allowing some sort of door open for a web threat.

Pluspunten:

I can manage everything with my website from cpanel. All the tools are clearly listed and labeled.

Minpunten:

Some tools are not as well defined and "hand-hold"-ey as others. The tool is clearly intended more for people who know what they're doing (IT), but I was still able to flounder my way through most things.

Everything for accommodation at your fingertips

Opmerkingen: It is very easy to use, it is not required to be an advanced user in web management. Its interface has all its identified applications and many have help menu. The database is administered through the web interface, which means that advanced knowledge in the management of mysql is not required, one of the interesting functions is the mail, you can create email accounts with the domain of hosting, this It means that you can customize mail accounts according to the company or product. File management can be managed through ftp which makes the transfer faster. The platform has a lot of options that can be applied at the same time, I recommend it for small or medium companies that do not have a large IT department

Pluspunten:

Easy-to-use platform, which hosts several applications that do the work for the time to maintain and manage the hosting of your website, email accounts, database, php among others. It is an all in one for web hosting

Minpunten:

One of the capabilities is more vulnerable to direct attacks, the location of all applications is on a single server, so it is easy to attack. This security breach makes it vulnerable to other options, more difficult to use but more secure

cPanel & WHM get the job done

Opmerkingen: Overall, I've used cPanel & WHM for over a decade and it's been a rock solid management tool. Even with the price increase, I'll continue using the cPanel / WHM combo because "it just works"

Pluspunten:

Both cPanel and WHM are both widely used in the industry and easy to learn. Client to client, server to server, you know what you're going to get and how to use it.

Minpunten:

The recent price increase has led to folks moving away from cPanel which has led to more competition in the marketplace. The unfortunate side effect of this is you will need to start learning how to use the competing software or building their own leading to a fracturing of the user base.

cPanel & WHM

Opmerkingen: I can say cPanel is the best panel for hosting i have ever used, is easy to use, has a nice and intuitive user interface which makes it easy to navigate.

Pluspunten:

cPanel is the ultimate website and email management system. I really like that it is very easy to create new email addresses and access them easily. Hosting new application on new domains or subdomains is fast because you can manage domains, files and everything else. Setting up the PHP requirements for different apps is a must for optimal performance and security.

Minpunten:

For a great performance, the hardware part must have some resources.

cPanel & WHM makes remote web management easy

Opmerkingen: cPanel & WHM makes it easy for someone like me to take care of the things specific to my business without needing to code PHP or administrate an Apache server.

Pluspunten:

I primarily use cPanel to access our WordPress installation as well as File Manager, primarily when verifying that "deleting" a plugin has actually deleted all of the associated files and folder. I also make use of the backup/restore feature when things go wrong during configuration. I made use of the DNS Zone access feature in the past when using my web host's DNS servers. In general, I have found cPanel to be a solid graphic UI for my server and WP installation.

Minpunten:

They change the UI occasionally which takes some getting used to. In general, no complaints

I recommend to most clients, providing they are an end user

Nothing I don't like about the software, but there was some controversy around the price updates a few years ago after cPanel was bought out buy a large VC firm that put me off being a total advocate. Very good software however.

Sometimes system update take long time and only recent data can be restored

The Best Hosting Platform for SME Business

Opmerkingen: It is very easy to use. One of the most popular and Old product that gets regular updates. However if Cpanel can manage keep the prices low, no one will be able to come close to it.

Pluspunten:

Ease of use, Loads of feature and manageability. Regular updates that we get from cPanel directly are very important for us.

Minpunten:

Bit costly for small customers when it comes to India Market. There are alternative hosting too that are now gaining popularity due to regular increase in cost price and INR-$ price fluctuation

Tried, True, Tested and Twenty Years In

Opmerkingen: cPanel & WHM have been around since the Web went public and people started building websites I think. I know I have been using it for 20 years! It was the backend on my very first website and will be the backend serving up my very last one someday too I'm sure.

Pluspunten:

What's not to like. It's easy to use, has every feature you can need and more, lots of one click installs, analytics, database integrations made easy, plus a huge user base for any questions that arise. If your nervous about hosting your own website and having to do "server backend stuff" have no fear, cPanel has you covered.

Minpunten:

I have been using it for so long it is like a habit

Good Value, User-Friendly Web Hosting Software

Pluspunten:

We are a small healthcare consulting firm that owns several WordPress websites with different domain names. We use cPanel and WHM to help us manage these websites on a virtual private server (VPS). When selecting a web hosting software package to use on our VPS, foremost on our list of requirements was ease of use, since none of our team members had much experience or expertise in web hosting. cPanel and WHM were the most straightforward choice because we were familiar with the graphical user interface (GUI) of cPanel (we had experience with it for about 2 years while our websites were on shared hosting) and the GUI was/is user friendly, even for novices. We set up our websites, each with a different cPanel for added security, on WHM easily and quickly - we didn't require any external assistance or training. Security was also another feature that we prioritized. WHM provides several ways to improve security of the server and therefore our websites, e.g. enabling "Configure Security Policy", disabling shell access, ModSecurity configuration, automatic updates.

Minpunten:

Cost of the software. In late 2019, our VPS hosting provider increased our VPS cPanel license fee by $6 per month due to a change in the way cPanel license prices were calculated and how they were sold (changing to an account based license). This fee increase was a little annoying at the time, but we opted to continue using cPanel and WHM because we had been so accustomed to using the software and it had served us well for 10 years. We continue to use cPanel and WHM exclusively for web hosting on our VPS.

Best in class for Linux hosting!

Opmerkingen: If you have a linux server and want to be a webhost, good or bad, you need this. If you want webhosting, you want a cPanel/WHM platform. Made right here in Houston, this is the industry standard.

Pluspunten:

WHM is the software you want if you are going to be a webhost. It lets you spawn your customer cPanels and control each element from your WHM console. Also, it is a GUI for many of the more painful points of server administration that would otherwise be handled on the command line.

Minpunten:

It is pricey! Worth it, but pricey. Also, the WHM software does have some difficulty with functions and DNS records either showing as complete but not working, or records like that getting "stuck" somewhere in the server's DNS zone. Also, management of a large number of cPanels can get daunting quick.

Excellent web management platform

Opmerkingen: Overall experience is great not only the WHM but its working with WHMCS is extra ordinary, but guess all good things comes to an end as we are currently switching from WHM.

Pluspunten:

Ease of usage, functions, extensibility everything is awesome and is well made for service providers specially in shared hosting industry, they also keep adding new features like free SSL and keep the code uptodate to minimalise any issues to appear suddenly, i worked with WHM many times and i personally like the working and and ui to be extra ordinary.

Minpunten:

there was not something i would consider i like least but a recent change made me rething my opinion about them, many of my friends who were exclusive customers of WHM/cPanel cancelled their subscription cause of a single change in their pricing which forced amny privders to either raise their plans or switch, and they choose the first one as cheapest wins the race in this idustry.

It often happens that customers have vps managed by CPanel, it offers every tool you need to manage a server, especially for those who do not want to manually manage the configurations.

Minpunten:

during use I did not encounter any defects or problems. maybe a graphical refactoring could be interesting.

A Perfect Platform To Sell & Manage Your Hosting

Opmerkingen: I am using whm panel since last 6 years and its very useful for me and i manage my more than 200 hosting clients using whm panel.

Pluspunten:

Its Perfect Platform to manage and sell your hosting to your clients without having much knowledge of server. You can easily create individual accounts and hosting packages with custom configuration. you can also block any hosting acount from whm panel or you can edit package configuration very easily

Minpunten:

actually i dont find any issue with whm panel by cpanel, its very easy to use. only they have to launch official mobile application to manage this WHM panel services.

I'd be lost without you WHM

Opmerkingen: running this software for twelves years over at my company, it makes every step of not only running your own website easy you can then make money selling sites and domains to others with as little as 20 us a month depending on the company you are with

We love all of it easy to use lots of self help doc and even pop up tips on damn near everything you have a question for. When that fail there tech support is by far the best i have dealt with in owning my company in the course of 16 years

What I like the most about cPanel (& WHM) is it's prevalence. Most webhosting clients are already familiar with it, and there's plenty of documentation available, so it makes for a smooth experience for clients and admins alike.

A feature-rich piece of software for managing hosting reseller accounts and running multiple cPanels. I've used this from day one of my freelance web design career and have not been disappointed. WHM makes it a breeze to run and maintain multiple hosting accounts.

Minpunten:

No issues, I've never had a crash with or needed to contact either WHM or my hosting providers support with any issues

Simple to Use and inexpensive

Opmerkingen: I have been using WHM and cPanel for years, and it is great for deploying new sites as well as managing them. The analytics provided help me make decisions on what is working and what isnt

Features that allow us to quickly deploy Wordpress, Joomla, etc... Very easy to understand and everything is at your fingertips

Minpunten:

WHM can be a bit challenging at first until you get used to the UI. An update to the UI or additional features such as letting you remove or add accounts from the same button.link would be nivr, but just a quibble, the existing intetace does everything you need efficiently

Opmerkingen: I will recommend this in a heartbeat, it is so much easier to learn and work with than other web hosting management software.

Everything about cPanel is so cool! Like I get so many apps like Softaculous and that helps when it comes to installing or setting up CMS software I am not really familiar with. I also love the fact that I can set up email accounts directly and get set up instructions for my devices. cPanel is really one of the best!

Minpunten:

I've been using cPanel for years and I still can't find anything wrong with it really. Talk about perfection, hehehe 😃

We use it for our webhosting to allow the customers and developers to publish their websites. I haven't heard any complaints from them about its features or accessibility.

Minpunten:

No complaints here, it seems to be an easy and straight forward webhosting tool. Something that is complex enough for the highly skilled and accessible enough for the beginners.

The best webserver management solution available

Opmerkingen: We used WHM and cPanel to host and manage websites we own. It makes management a walk in the park, as its GUI is a great way to deal with actions that would otherwise require using terminal and typing in endless commands. This way you can deal with most issues using their built in tools and features.

Pluspunten:

cPanel has the most features among the webserver management solutions we have tried. Not only is it feature-packed, the features are also well made and useful. cPanel's best feature, though, is the ease of use. Setting up a domain, installing WordPress, and managing files, databases, permissions, and metrics has never been easier! I also love the Softaculous installer that is compatible with cPanel.

The pricing system changed recently, and it is not as affordable as it once was.

WHM - Sell your hosting plans

So many features! many of them come as plugin u can customize almost everything Build apache and php the way you want cheap price for this kind of service amazing support when you need it ( sometimes took 24 h to got an answer )

U need to fully understand the way WHM Works and how to deal with it. SOmetimes u will need to contact their support They are going to raise license price on 4 of september
