Minpunten:

One limitation of MailTrack is that it doesn't provide detailed analytics beyond email opens. While it's great for basic tracking, users may find themselves wanting more comprehensive data on recipient engagement, such as link clicks or attachment downloads. Additionally, the branding in the signature of outgoing emails can be a bit intrusive, especially for professional communication.

Best for University Students!

Opmerkingen: It was honestly the best thing, especially during my time at the university which I know for sure will be as helpful when I am applying for a job or when I'm already on the job. I don't have to worry about emails in a way I used to worry about it before.

Pluspunten:

As someone who can get anxious especially during those classes held online, MailTrack is so helpful in communicating with your groupmates, professors, and even the university administration. It helps me track the emails, it shows me if my email was received, if it was already opened, and more so if it was ignored. I can easily know what I will do if I should send a follow-up or try to send my email again

Minpunten:

I believe it would be nicer if I could install it directly on my computer it will be applied directly to my mail app on my laptop because I can only use MailTrack on my browser

Do not use

Opmerkingen: Mailtrack cost us thousands of dollars in lost productivity and their response was "Sorry about that". They also lied to us about how long there had been an issue (we had a problem over a week ago but had not been able to trace it to them at the time).

Pluspunten:

It was great while it worked. It was lovely to see who had read emails.

Minpunten:

Mailtrack had what they called a server issue. Emails sent by my organization all came back to us as unsent, but somehow they were all deleted from our "sent" box and were not in our drafts. So Mailtrack somehow deleted these emails. All had to be done and resent.

A bullet proof mail tracker, easy to use and efficient

Opmerkingen: Me and my team have been using mailtrack for the last year and it has been really great. You get reports on who opens emails, links, how many times they get back to your emails etc. It's a great way to understand what's going on with customers, leads etc.

Pluspunten:

It does exactly what you want, at the right price. Extremely easy to setup

Minpunten:

It doesn't work with firefox, which forces me to open chrome every time i need to track a specific email, or send a tracked email. This is really annoying, since I use Firefox as my main browser, and don't plan to switch fully to chrome. It's not free, but with the yearly payments, it's less than a coffee a week.

Simple MailTracking

Pluspunten:

I like that it does whatit is supposed to do - track email opens even if its multiple times

Minpunten:

I found it to be simple and easy to use and tracks opens, but that's all it does - I slowly moved away from MailTrack and towards ActiveCampaign since it can track opens and much more.

It is worth it to use. So efficient and less hassle for those that have a day to day meetings. Everything is notified and you will aware for all of the emails you'll have.

Minpunten:

Their privacy is strong and you will be notified if your emails were read or not.

The thing I absolutely love about MailTrack is that it gives me ability to know whether my emails were opened by sender or not.

Great Email Tracking, But Beware of Permission Requests

I've been using MailTrack for over a year now, and I can say that it's an excellent email tracking tool. It's a great feeling to know when someone has opened your email, and it helps me stay on top of my communication. The interface is easy to use, and the tracking feature is reliable.

Minpunten:

However, after an update, I noticed that MailTrack was asking for more permissions to manage my email account, which made me a bit uncomfortable.

I think more options can be allowed to non-pro subscribers of the email tracker.

Opmerkingen: Overall it has made my life much much easier. I know when I need to followup on an email without having to remember myself. I know when someone has read my email.

Pluspunten:

There's a free tier. Obviously there are other things to love, like notifications about your email being read, the fact that if an email hasn't been responded to in some time it get bumped up. The fact that if other people have Mailtrack you will actually get notified who read your email. But the fact that there is a free tier is HUGE.

Minpunten:

There is not much but I suppose the branding signature that is required on the free tier. There really isn't anything else they can do to incentivize you to upgrade so I don't mind it that much. Oh there does appear to be a small glitch that if your personal email and business email are combined then you will get notifications even for emails that you just sent. So for example I send an email using my company email through my personal gmail I get a notification that the email has been read, which is impossible I just sent it.

OK at what it does...sometimes

Opmerkingen: The software works pretty well for tracking opens. That's really all I ask of it, and for the most part it has filled that job pretty well. I mostly get the notifications, and once I refigure out the mobile part to be working again then it should do that job pretty well across all platforms.

Pluspunten:

After losing Newton and Astro, I wanted a solution to track emails that was easy to use and available on desktop and Android. MailTrack was seemingly the most popular, and it integrated to Gmail so I figured why not. Overall it's been an adequate replacement for the email tracking in the two apps above, but not a GOOD replacement. What I like about it is that it has good notifications through Chrome and on your phone. It's well implemented on the desktop in my opinion, I just have it set to be always on and I can customize my settings for where I want notifications and how often. It does the job well from the desktop.

Minpunten:

The mobile setup with Gmail was a pain. I enabled it and it was working for awhile, then randomly it stopped working. I tried installing it domain wide instead, so we'll see how that works. The fact that it's a bit of a hassle to install and then questionable about whether it stays running is not something I like about a software like this that I rely on for sales. Another issue with it is that the tracking is not QUITE as good as Newton. Newton would only alert you when someone else read it, and could even tell who was reading it. MailTrack alerts me that an email is read every time that I open it, which clearly is useless. However it's not the end of the world knowing that I personally am in the email so I disregard it.

It provides insights on the activity of the recipient on my email such as the time the email was read and the number of times it has been read which helps in proper follow up. And the best part is that the features are provided free of cost upto some extent

Minpunten:

The hyperlinked "sent my mailtrack" icon at the end is something that annoys the reader. Also, the tracking is not accurate as even I get notification sometimes when opening the email that I had sent to some other recipient

Mailtrack provides very reliable email tracking! It sends you a notification when your email has been read and it keeps track of how many times the email is being opened and read. It also notifies you if the email hasn't been read in 24hrs, 48 hrs, or 72 hrs. It is relieving to know that the email you sent has been read so mailtrack is very useful in that sense. Mailtrack works very well with google and is relatively easy to install. All I need to do is choose the extension, download it and apply it. Relatively easy to learn the features and to use it. The free version lacks some features but since it is free, the quality and service is very very good!

Minpunten:

The free version of Mailtrack includes a watermark so the person reading the email would know that the email is being tracked. I would prefer if Mailtrack doesn't so directly tell the reader that the email is being tracked. There can be occasional glitches where the email tracking isn't very accurate but this has rarely happened and doesn't affect my overall opinion of Mailtrack - its great!!!!

best way to track email opens

Opmerkingen: i’m extremely satisfied with mailtrack and i recommend it for every business professional who needs to know if his emails has been opened or not and also how many times the email has been opened.

Pluspunten:

whenever i send an important email i use mailtrack so i can be notified when it’s opened, it’s been really useful because if my email is never opened it’s a green light for a follow up and without mailtrack this wouldn’t be possible.

Minpunten:

They are great but they need to consider integration with other email platforms like zoho for example.

Great way to know when clients have seen my emails

Pluspunten:

I used to wonder if a client had received my email or not. But now I don't have to wonder. MailTrack sends me a notification when the email has been read. This can help make sure I am giving a client adequate time to read and respond and yet also follow-up with them as needed (for those that might get side-tracked and forget to respond).

Minpunten:

It can't tell who opened an email when you send to more than one person. It would be nice if it would.

No need addtional knowledge to use this service. Very helpfull when sending the email. It will give the delivery and read notifications.

It's lightweight, simple and sends concise instantaneous tracking notifications of mails being read. Once installed, it's hard to imagine life without MailTrack.

Minpunten:

The MailTrack branding in the free plan is quite prominent. When there's multiple recipients, the free plan does not indicate which recipient opened the mail — it simply states that mail was opened.
