Over the top abilities to create, produce and maintain Legal Documents

Pluspunten:

Reveal Codes is the most incredible tool -- that Microsoft still does not get. I started in 1982 version 2.22, learning while hanging upside down to fix herniated discs. I would go into the office with new ideas, and implemented them. Novell made errors in their ownership, but Corel has brought the program back to life. WP continues to overpower and provide clarity to document creation, editing and freedom to create what my law office needs. We write letters, contracts, memos, pleadings, briefs -- and the tools provided work without multiple overlays of styles. You have a flexible customizable interface, quick correct, quick words that allow for repeated documents or phrases -- to complex merge processing integrated with Time Matters. You can figure out and define all the details of a document, and the automatic outlining works! Headers, footers, watermarks, speed of editing, tables, path file name - are superb. The macro language is second to none. We have changed Firm Name, location, email addresses and added or subtracted lawyers -- and we can do that to our entire database of documents in sequences that amaze other firms. I can take a user from zero to high performance more quickly than any other program in my office. We have some special templates and forms that work better than any other system I have seen. This is the best word processing software.

Minpunten:

The compare / redline feature is not as good as the Word track changes function. I would prefer a more robust Word conversion, back and forth with a table of substituted functions.

Great Apps

A Decent Word Processor

Strongest Word Processing Software around

Opmerkingen: In my opinion this is the best software for creating documents and editing them. Grammar check and spelling are quickly and easily fixed and there are so many different options to make each project yours.

Pluspunten:

I like the amount of different settings and customization this has compared to Microsoft Word and Note. They make editing very easy.

Minpunten:

I didnt like the fact that you have to dig for a lot of settings and go thru several sub menus to get to a lot of options instead of having shortcuts near the front screen.

Best Word Processing Software

Opmerkingen: Because of the ease of use of this software, I will not use any other word processing software

Pluspunten:

This is the most user friendly word processing software that I have ever used! I have been using WordPerfect probably for at least 30 years and I am now at the point where I will not use any other. Using other ‘known’ word processors is extremely frustrating compared to WordPerfect. Great software!

Minpunten:

I have no cons regarding this software. Very easy to use!

No brainer must have in everyday business life.

Opmerkingen: I feel l like it should be an automatic go to for the workspace, even in personal life. It seems like it is not one of the things you hear people "talk" about all the time, but if it disappeared tomorrow people would be lost...Like when you washing machine stops working...you don't appreciate it each day when you have it and use it tirelessly but when it isn't there it creates a giant hole in your life!

Pluspunten:

Everything. There is nothing I don't love about this program. It creates simplicity or you can make it complicated and full of amazing things. Easy to use, easy to store and a must have.

Minpunten:

There are no cons I have ever experienced. The newest user can use it and any experienced upper lever employee will never run out of useful things it can offer.

Give it a fair opportunity, you might be surprised.

WordPerfect Office Review

Before choosing whether WordPerfect Office is the best solution for daily needs, it is crucial to carefully assess each task and who needs to have it shared with them.

Pluspunten:

I have always been a big fan of the Word Program and have recently purchased the WordPerfect as an update. I liked the Word program but love the WordPerfect feature that shows the codes at the bottom of the page, so that you know how to correct errors or where to look it up. But that is about all.

Minpunten:

I find it harder and harder to us the WordPerfect program only because at work we use Google and it integrates and shares so much easier than Word Perfect. Not to mention all my other colleagues are using google also and it is easier just to share the document.

It’s too easy to work from home with this software. Doesn’t make coffee but sure is flexible and reliable

Document creation made simpler

Opmerkingen: Very adventurous experience with WordPerfect Office.

Pluspunten:

I truly admire that how lucidly I can create, edit and save word files using WordPerfect Office. Very amazing.

Minpunten:

Only once did I forgot to save a file, but anyways that's my fault. No problems with WordPerfect Office.

New versions not Dragon Naturally Compatible

Opmerkingen: Overall WordPerfect is a tremendous workhorse. Since version 5, I have thought it’s the best word processor out there but I am changing my mind due to the failure of WordPerfect – at least in my mind – keep up with the times.

Pluspunten:

Since I have used this version since WordPerfect 4, it is second nature to me. I find formatting for legal documents to be superior to Microsoft Word and of course reveal codes is indispensable. Automatic numbering and the ability to save two other word processing formats or PDF is very good.

Minpunten:

WordPerfect’s Spellchecker, Grammatik (grammar checker), Thesaurus, and dictionary haven't improved in the last five or more iterations. But what drives me nuts is WordPerfect's total disregard for Dragon Naturally Speaking (DNS). They make no attempt to have their product work with DNS. I made the mistake of buying version X9 and had to abandon it to return to version X8 because DNS hadn’t gotten around to making their v.15 compatible with version X9. I certainly didn’t buy the 2020 version and won’t buy the 2021. Okay so maybe it is Dragon Naturally Speaking’s fault but I am going to continue to use DNS. Out-of-the-box, DNS is compatible with Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word has a much greater share of the market and that continues to grow. Most of my staff has been with me a long time and are used to WordPerfect. But new hires and temps are not familiar with WordPerfect at all. Thank goodness WordPerfect converts to Microsoft Word or I would have no compatibility with many other law offices. While they keep improving their PDF compatibility – we use Adobe and Adobe is much slicker than WordPerfect. If you are going to be part of the 21st century you will start using voice dictation. My opinion is that the WordPerfect people are riding on their user base. They make some peripheral improvements and sell a new version but really aren't busting their b*tts to make major changes. The people at WordPerfect appear to be cruising and riding it until their user base disapp

Wordperfect Office Alternative to MS Office

Opmerkingen: I have been using Wordperfect and Quattro Pro (the main suite programs) since the early 80's and have chosen to stay with this platform because of their ease of use and robust features.

Pluspunten:

Full featured office suite. Wordperfect is superior to MS Word and I find Quattro Pro much easier to use than Excel and it's graphing and charting better than Excel's.

Minpunten:

There is not a smart phone app to at least view the documents created with suite in the field, away from a connected computer.

WordPerfect the unbeatable market

Opmerkingen: It is an excellent alternative to similar software and to tell the truth, for 5 years that I use it, I find satisfaction.
If there is anything to say in conclusion, it is that everyone should take a look. It is a fantastic tool.

Pluspunten:

I find the price great! It regeorge all the features of the main similar software. It offers better PDF support than Microsoft Office Word. It offers the possibility to save all the work in different formats, which allows for better compatibility. It is an excellent word processing software for creating beautiful documents

Minpunten:

In my opinion, the UI can be a bit cluttered. It happens that this sometimes crashes and thus forces you to restart the computer to obtain better performance.

WordPerfect Suite

Opmerkingen: The ability to format is better than Word.

Pluspunten:

Quattro compares favorably with Excel and the conversions appear to be seamless.

Minpunten:

WordPerfect is, overall, much better for formatting documents than Microsoft Word but the ability to convert complex documents between it and Microsoft Word have not improved and are usually corrupted, requiring a great deal of time to edit. The program should have a feature to remove all reveal codes without having to go through each one.

Love Wordperfect

Opmerkingen: I am an Attorney and find that Wordperfect meets my word processing needs very well. I recently hired an assistant who had used Word for a long time. After using Wordperfect for a month or so, she said she would never go back to Word. She said that it was much easier to use Wordperfect. That has been my experience as well.

Pluspunten:

I have used Wordperfect since I started practicing law 30+ years ago. It is very user friendly, much moreso than its competition.

Minpunten:

It doesn't integrate well with Amicus Attorney.

Used to be a fabulous product, and now are not as dependable.

Opmerkingen: I'm a professional engineer and have used WordPerfect/QuatroPro since 1991. I have depended on these products to create masterful documents with complex computational tables which have greatly simplified my work. 20 years ago WordPerfect made frequent improvements in their product. I've stopped using these products because they constantly crash, are arduous to get WP Tables to work well. It now takes much longer due to program glitches and frequent lockups, to get tables to work as they did before. I swore I'd never move to Word and Excel, but I've had to in order to get better performance then WP/QP. I'm done with Corel altogether.

Pluspunten:

25 years ago I liked that WP kept improving their engine and add-ons. They ran flawlessly.

Minpunten:

WP is no longer smooth as it was and I sense no efforts to improve dwindling performance. They advertise the "Improved" WP upgrades but dont list a single improvement, because there arent' any.

Easy to navigate, well organized

Pluspunten:

Great for correspondence to patients and colleagues.

Minpunten:

I like everything about it, but if I was to try to find something then I would say they should make it have more bells and whistles.

Something Decent and classic

Opmerkingen: A great backup to some of the openoffice products or libreoffice products

Pluspunten:

A classic design that all other Office Writers are based on. This was easy to use and get started with. Some great features, and love all the standard fonts that come with it.

Minpunten:

A bit outdated with a few features and how things are laid out, not much customization.

Opmerkingen: We have used this software for years and each version gets a bit more capable while still being backward compatible with earlier documents.

Pluspunten:

Spreadsheet program is not very useful Overall graphics support in WordPerfect is good, but complex highly formatted documents may freeze or exhibit random rendering artifacts.
