It supports quite a few types of devices, has a very easy-to-use client interface and makes it simple for us to manage the users.
The feature set is limited, but you cannot beat it for the price. If you need all the bells and whistles, then go with LMI.

I used to Recommend TeamViewer, NOW its all about Splashtop!
Opmerkingen: I came from using Teamviewer, i will never go back. Splashtop is honestly perfect to use.
I loved the easiness of just having a username and password to access my computer, i used to use TEAMVIEWER, and of course we needed the IP address, so some unique number, if not forget it you are out of luck ... this is so much easier and user friendly. Plus, totally inexpensive.
It was a bit difficult to maneuver at first, trying to get the screen to fit was the worse, i eventually got it and it works fine,
An excellent LogMeIn replacement
Opmerkingen: With Splashtop Remote Support we can effectively manage both our own PCs and servers, as well as that of our clients remotely. The switch from LogMeIn went smoothly, and we've found that the remote support sessions connect far quicker and are more reliable than LogMeIn. Overall we are very satisfied with Splashtop and glad that we've made the switch.

However, LogMeIn wrote to us a couple of years ago intending to more than double the price we were paying. So we looked at alternatives, and Splashtop came out on top for functionality and price. After a two week free trial we were satisfied that Splashtop was the way to go.

Perfect Remote Support Tool
Opmerkingen: Once you customize the registry keys for the splashtop streamer you will have a perfect experience. Some annoying options to customize are sound and num lock settings. Integrates well with our RMM Atera and is even free of charge there. Connection is stable even in remote and very low bandwidth situations.
Stable and fast remote connections to any system no matter if internal or external. Direct chat and file transfers with the client. Option to have the client approve the connection requests or refuse, for non-server systems. Can be set up thru regedit entry. Various customizations and optimizations are possible thru registry keys, to customize the experience for the support technician and the client.
Nothing negative to say. Offers all the basic and some more advanced functionality you could think of you need while remotely connecting to a system.

i loved the desktop version but you removed that and now it crashes on me at least three times a day
i loved the desktop version but you removed that and now it crashes on me at least three times a dayyou dont have a control v option. i have to use the mouse and click other options and then paste clipboard as keystrokes. beyond inconvenient. in one remote session to update autodesk software i may have to do that 100+ times when i could just do ctl+v then enter and never have to touch my mouse
Better than other remote support apps
Opmerkingen: It provides services better than most of its competitors as it provides with a smooth experience. Also, both PCs and servers can be remotely controlled.
It is a great remote support tool as it has a good user interface coupled with secure connections. Even the pricing is fair. I haven't noticed any lag in remotely accessing the machines.
Screen fitting or alignment is an issue. Due to this, resolution if the monitor gets disturbed. Otherwise, it is genuinely a good product.
Finally, Remote Access with a Smile
Opmerkingen: I haven't needed to contact support very much but each time I have they have been quick to help. More than anything in the IT world speed is paramount, these guys are good.
Functionality across pretty much everything. Fast set up. Secure approval for new machines / users, even down to me having to verify who I am on a regular basis - no trouble, reflects the changing IP's.
The software working through the app is sometimes a little less than smooth. It still works well but could see some improvement.

They gave me a full trial, extended that trial and then helped in the move from LogMeIn to the Splashtop product. All the way through I had regular email communications checking all was going well. Very satisfied customer.
Replaced LogMeIn Central and Integrates with Datto RMM
Opmerkingen: Connecting to a Splashtop cleint is very fast. I also like how it gives a pop up when we connect/disconnect
What I like most about the software it s the cost! The cost is amazing compared to what we had with Central. We have close to 500 Machines using the RMM and Splashtop direct.
When using with Integrated RMM you cant drag and drop files or print. Would like the remote printer to just re-direct the printers instead of having to ad the XPS Viewer.
Excellent alternative for Logmein Central Users

Great tool for managing and supporting PCs remotely
Opmerkingen: We were using a tool which did not provide elevated permissions on computers which meant some troubleshooting or installation of software remotely was very difficult as we couldn't enter administrator credentials.
The ease of setup and connecting to a PC for elevated remote support. Features such as chat and file transfer are certainly bonuses.
Occasionally the antivirus add-on bitdefender has trouble deploying to PCs and that integration could be built out better but overall it's hard to complain at the price.

Great Value for the money for a remoting solution
Opmerkingen: I recommend it for cheap/smaller environments that just need simple remoting more than RDP can provide, but I wouldn't use this in an enterprise environment.
It is cheap and easy to license. The remoting itself is painless and works well, even in situations where internet connection is a bit... murky. Features are slick and well-designed, easy to access. Works great on desktop and phone/tablet solutions. Installer is great and can be automated in a windows environment.
It lacks some of the "big boy" features that other remoting softwares can provide, but those cost heaps more money. Support is basically a knowledge base, which is lacking, but honestly enough because it's pretty stable.
Robust Remote Support
Opmerkingen: Any time I have contacted support with a question they were always fast, friendly, and helpful. I haven't needed to contact them about any major issues because it performs like it is supposed to and has never given me any trouble.
Splashtop was incredibly easy to setup, and is very user friendly. It has all of the features we need and offers features we didn't think we would use but they turned out to be a great bonus to have.
When it comes to Pro/Cons, there are no cons with Splasthtop. There are a few minor features that would be nice to have, like seeing the user activity status on the main screen of the business app, and we have submitted feature requests, hopefully they will be added in an upcoming product update.
The most interesting in this software is how that is efficient and easy to install and make all needed setups. After, of course the price compare to equivalent platform is unrivaled. With the deploy app process is very easy to install on all machine with a minimum configuration needed. The view on all machines reachable is efficient and easy to setup to give access different machines (users, groups...) Of course, there are several improvements needed but the basic functions are already impressive, efficient, and work how they are supposed to work.
Currently, no bad points, splashtop works like a charm.

Opmerkingen: You can access a computer that you've previously installed on from any computer that has an internet connection through their browser. There is nothing to install on the computer you are accessing from. To set up this is easy run the software on the computer you wish to be able to access, and set the software to allow accessing that computer from the Internet.
The ability to access teams remotely access own computers and shared computers with any device. MSP, IT professionals, service providers, and helpdesks can remotely support their clients, computers and provide them with remote access. I like that about the applications
Continue to develop and improve on the application. Its is a challenge to access a computer that you've previously installed on from any computer that has an internet connection through their browser. There is nothing to install on the computer you are accessing from.
Splashtop Remote inexpensive but missing some crucial features
Opmerkingen: Splashtop is a value-driven application, which although doesn't have all the bells and whistles of its more expensive competitors, does provide, basic solid, fast remote connections to a group of devices on a regular basis, but also has the capability of doing one-off sessions.

Splashtop hits the right spots
The software is relatively simple to use and the fact it allows me to help on iOS as well as computer is a bonus, never have had any issues with it.
A limitation that Apple has set up to make it difficult for screensharing programs to be "plug and play" impacts non techy users from setting up these types of software with ease. Splashtop has a great visual to help users but still could use improvement as the steps aren't as clear for non techy users.
Great Product for the Money
Opmerkingen: Splashtop will be replacing GoToMyPC due to pricing. But it works just as well. As long as they don't jack up the price, I'm good.
Easy access to clients computers during the Covid-19 Shutdown. Had it up and running within 2 days. Very easy to use, can print remotely and affordable.
Somewhat difficult to get through to tech support during set up but this was due to the surge during the Covid-19 shutdown.
Splashtop Remote Support
The remote control and management was very good and easy to deploy.
We switched to sysaid for better asset management including hardware and software. Also teamviewer is a great support tool for us.

Remote from Anywhere
Opmerkingen: So far Splashtop has been a great solution to working from home. This gives my employees the ability to do work from home and not have to come into the office or take piles of work or desktop computers home with them. We've had no issues with connectivity and have really enjoyed how well this is working for us. It's a relief!
This software is incredibly easy to use. We use it to remote into work computers from home. It is safe and secure, and so efficient! This beats bringing work back and forth from home to the office, plus it gives us the freedom to be able to work from home without bringing the entire desk home with you.
This software remotes into another computer, so that means that in the office there is a computer that will be occupied by someone. We really haven't come across anything negative with this product!
Great for Projecting Anything from your desktop
Opmerkingen: Splashtop has been a lifesaver for remote leaning. It lets me access my files and share with my students. In the classroom, it lets me put anything on my desktop on the projector so that I can interact with my students.
Easy to install and use. It lets me project my classroom notes and documents so the entire class can follow along easily.
Sometimes it can run a little slow and lose connection.

I find Splashtop to be the most value for the price when it comes to remote support tools. The software is very reliable, updated frequently, and easy for end users to use.
The user interface can feel outdated, and connections can sometimes take a very long time to initiate.
One of the BEST remote support software
We use Splashtop everyday single day to support our customers, its really easy to use and fast, I like that we can transfer files between computers fast and easy.
Sometimes we get a hard time trying to connect to the remote computer, but most of the time the issue is the computer.
very good remote access service.
I pair this service with Atera RMM, it is integrated when a machine has Atera installed. lets you remote access a machine without needing to receive a temp password like TeamViewer, this can be set up that way if you would like, however. very clear picture and quick response time with very little input lag which is hard to achieve with a remote service. Splashtop does have a mobile app as well if you have that in your plan.
can't really think of anything I dislike, gets the job done and does exactly what it says it does. highly recommended if you need to perform remote maintenance often.
Reliable Remote Access

Splashtop allows me to easily access my client's workstation. Its a pretty seamless product. Works reliably.
The split screen doesn't work to great. If I'm on my laptop and want to use the left side of my screen for one application and the right side for remoting into my client's computer by way of splashtop, the right side is split in half.
This was a cost effective alternative to what we were using for remote support that we ended up liking even better. Splashtop is more intuitive to use, more responsive, and a better overall feel.
I do wish there were more customization to the roles in user management. My team cannot operate the software in the capacity that they need unless they are assigned the Admin role. Making each role have customization would go a long way in taking care of this.
Great for remote support on MacOS

We typically used Splashtop on Mac's because it was easier to use and easier for the user when trying to connect remotely.
Overall no real complaints here. I have not used it heavily enough to see any real flaws yet.
