Opmerkingen: I track the behaviour of my users in my SaaS product. Mainly funnels inside the flows of my product and segmentation between acquisition channels.

Pluspunten:

Amazing funnels, multichannel attribution, ease of use and customization... Mixpanel offers the next step from traditional analytics services like GA4.

Minpunten:

There are some analytics features only accessible in Enterprise, but it is a minor inconvenience.

Great Analytics tool for Decision Making

Opmerkingen: It was a great product we use it on daily bases to track the user activity on our site and based on the research we plan our future goals.

Pluspunten:

1. It is highly useful for those products which are based on customer service over web like hotel bookings, resume creation, etc. 2. You can easily create your own events for evey page or action and track user experience on mixpanel that where are they mostly using and viewing on their site which helps in decision making to upgrade their products. 3. You can easily access the mixpanel data form anywhere just login to mixpanel site and you can see the realtime data. 4. It is also easy to implement on the source code of products . We just need to include one script and we are able to add events where ever we like to define.

Minpunten:

Sometimes we face issue in profiling of the users.

The best part about this app is that I able to track a mobile and web user of my application under the same umbrella.

The user interface is not the best for non-analytics or non-technical users but it is better over time with the new updates.

Best decision to use Mixpanel

Opmerkingen: Mixpanel is topnotch and lot to learn from it. If you start using it you will fall in love with the product to use and will help in making business decisions.

Pluspunten:

Mixpanel is a powerful tool that helps to generate reports for various use cases like Facebook ads, Payments related, etc. I could make decisions really quickly because I could analyze on Mixpanel whichever data is required.

Minpunten:

It should be slightly beginner friendly. As it looks over whelming in the beginning later it is super useful.

A Comprehensive Review of Mixpanel

Minpunten:

Mixpanel can be expensive for some users, and its features may be too complex for some. Additionally, its customer service could use improvement.

Great analytics platform but difficult to integrate

Opmerkingen: Overall it has been kind of a love and hate relationship. Again when the integration was done correctly I loved the tool but everytime I want to create a new event , I need the tech support.

Pluspunten:

The reports and the dashboards are amazing. I can run analysis on basically everything, all the events that are happening outside and inside my software.

Minpunten:

It takes long time to integrate it and It's difficult to do it right. It's maybe more suitable for enterprise customers.

Mixpanel for usability tracking

Pluspunten:

We are using mixpanel for user activity tracking in the product, its very useful to keep track of customer activity incase of error also.

Minpunten:

Access to dashboard is very limited and able to create less charts only.

I use Mixpanel everyday to track my KPIs and it is visually soothing

The ease of creating reports. In-depth analytics for product usage.

Minpunten:

Limitations on creating custom reports. I wanted to export all data from MixPanel to an Excel sheet. But since there are limitations on creating custom reports, the Excel sheet cannot fit all data into one sheet.

Pluspunten:

Data visualisation is very intuitive and it's easy to build reports for various tasks. Can go very granular with the data or keep it higher level and there are a range of visual options for each report

Minpunten:

It would be useful to be able to rename some of the fields in the reports

Opmerkingen: It's a powerful analytics and marketing tool that helps you track and understand user behavior (who are your power users? which sources did you acquire them from? what's your churn rate? etc.) and make important business decisions about what you should do more of, what's working and what isn't.

Pluspunten:

Once you set it up properly, you can use Mixpanel to track every granular user action. You can save numerous details with each event that's important for you to know such as device, browser, country, campaign UTM, etc. Mixpanel provides you with several types of reports you can analyze data with such as Insights (break down user actions to show how many share X, Y or Z detail such as campaign UTM) and Funnels (conversions between user actions). You can also use Mixpanel to send notifications (email, push, in-app) to users based on their actions. It's a very powerful analytic and marketing tool.

Minpunten:

Lately, Mixpanel has made quite a few UI changes. Some have been helpful, others less so. Example with a recent funnels UI change: if you add a breakdown (which breaks down each of the funnel steps by a specific detail like country), Mixpanel adds several different colored bars to the funnel, which makes it very difficult to visually see the conversions between each step. I'm not sure if they do any testing with users before launching new features or UI but their user experience would benefit a lot from it. Mixpanel also does get expensive as you track more user actions (events), but it's only powerful and useful when you track every user action, big and small. Otherwise, your analysis would be based on an incomplete picture and cause incorrect findings.

MixPanel the best Software Analytics Tool

Opmerkingen: We use MixPanel to measure all the resources of our Software. With the collected data, we set up visualizations and dashboards to make decisions in our product, and in our sales proccess, because we use MixPanel to tracking our Free Trial.
For Product Analytics, I do not doubt that the MixPanel is The best choice, even more, than we are a Startup and we have been counting on the startups program for some time.

Pluspunten:

Mixpanel interface is excellent. For anyone who works with software as a service, this tool is essential! Distinguished product teams use this tool. MixPanel have too many resources, all you need when the subject is Product Analytics you can do with Mixpanel. I'm CTO on [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and use at least once on a week MixPanel to taking product decisions.

Minpunten:

The initial configuration of data tracking is a bit complicated, especially if you want to evaluate everything that is possible. You will take some time to setup the events, mainly the custom events of you product. Of course you need to evaluate the points the make sense to track, and if you love data like I, I'm sure that you will want to track everything.

An Exceptional Analytic Tool

Opmerkingen: We have been tracking user events and Mixpanel has proved a great ally for that. It's easy to use features had made it stand out than other products in the market. I have been using this more for than six months now and not for once I faced any difficulties. It wasn't any arduous for me and I would suggest people who are looking for a great analytic tool to try this one.

Pluspunten:

Intelligible software it is, with user friendly interface. A new user doesn't have to be perturbed much to understand the functionality of this product. All the features are quite comprehensible.

Minpunten:

There is nothing in this product to dislike. The price might bother a few people but in the comparison to the other analytic software out there the price of this product is very much acceptable, making this product affordable than others.

Opmerkingen: Overall I am really satisfied with the software for my daily use. It really is a value for money and makes working really easy.

Pluspunten:

This software gives you the functionality to fetch data directly using SQL for the charts. The ability to calculate the ratios of metrics helps make the dashboard really informative. Apart from this, the user UI is really easy to use and also it loads the data in real time really fast.

Minpunten:

There is not much to dislike in the software but yes some more features/charts option can be added to get the maximum from this.

Go-To Analytics

Pluspunten:

Mixpanel is the cleanest, most accurate analytics tool our team has used. We've tried Google Analytics, and other free services that have consistently shown us messed up data. Mixpanel is super easy to set up, it gives you the data you need in a digestable format and allows you to make quick decisions.

Minpunten:

To be honest, I used to be quite upset with the pricing of this software but they have recently lowered the monthly costs and it is on-par with what I would expect to pay. Good job Mixpanel.

Event tracking platform

Opmerkingen: My product team is heavy user. Being in the Marketing team, I appreciate the reports we get from it, they really provide a deeper understanding of what our customers actually do with our product

Pluspunten:

It allows my product team to track the use and outcomes from each part of our platform. It's a must have for our product owners.

Minpunten:

I can't really tell, as I'm not involved in the implementation, but my team says it could be made easier with a more intuitive set of features

Better than Google Analytics

I know a company that uses Mixpanel to track everything a customer does on their platform, including where they left off and also encountered an error. Mixpanel also shows you a customer's location. You can also send targetted customer messages with Mixpanel

Minpunten:

You will need a software developer to implement Mixpanel on your app or website. It's not something you can set up easily.

Incredibly powerful marketing tool with the best support engineers in the world

Opmerkingen: Great advanced marketing software that allows you to send REALLY effective marketing messages if you know how to configure.

Pluspunten:

The marketing tool is INSANELY powerful you can configure marketing messages or campaigns based on almost any data you can pipe in. The support engineers are the nicest, best support engineers on the planet (they have incredible depth of knowledge and explain in crazy detail). We see our Mixpanel marketing communications perform 4-5x better on average than our general email marketing messages.

Minpunten:

It's so sophisticated and advanced it can be difficult to know where or how to get started. If you're looking for a "simple" marketing platform, this is not for you.

Excellent tool for Product Managers and team

Opmerkingen: After implementing Mixpanel we could, first of all, understand more easily the data collected by analytics, user flows, and funnel graphs. After that, we could understand our gaps (where users were getting lost, where they were dropping off, etc.) and use that information to make improvements to our own product.

Pluspunten:

It is very easy to visualize and read on the screen the data exhibit. And it has a great set of filters and options to display and configure your own insights and reports.

Minpunten:

I can't see anything against it. it is the most complete tool for this function on the market right now.

Mixpanel helps track user behavior and measure success for your application

Opmerkingen: I recommend Mixpanel to anyone who needs to do tracking of user behavior in web applications in order to measure against goals.

Pluspunten:

It's easy to use yet can become a very powerful tool to help understand metrics of web applications and behaviors of users.

Minpunten:

Can be perceived as a simple tool at first due to its ease of use and clean UI and for more customized or complex tracking.

Track everything and anything

Pluspunten:

I liked the feature that you can track the duration of the interaction. For example you can track how long does the user watches the Tutorial video as we did in our app. Though I noticed sometimes it returns wrong value, so for now I would stick to own duration calculations but still send to Mixpanel to track it. The integration is pretty simple, dashboard is nice.

Minpunten:

Duration tracking is a bit wrong sometimes on iOS. The panel sometimes has delays but I guess it's normal.

Either some issue with implementation or something else

Pluspunten:

I liked that it was very intuitive to use. For example creating dashboards, product analysis (both web and mobile) and making funnels is very easy.

Minpunten:

There has always been an issue where we have trouble attributing events to client IDs when we bring the Mixpanel data outside of Mixpanel (for example our data warehouse). We end up having events that are missing or that are not attributed back to our clients.

Great Analytics Tool

Pluspunten:

Easy to use with lots of rich features. I especially like the AutoTrack tool that allows me to get the analytics of a GUI without having to tag it first.

Minpunten:

Very limited date range (2 weeks) for user flows. Dashboard feature isn't able to accommodate all of the reports that I have.

Grow your online business by finding out caveats in your application

Pluspunten:

Data analytics, event capturing, AB testing, customer support.

Minpunten:

Missed event are never captured and they just vanish so that needs to be addressed.

Have used it for years on several projects

Pluspunten:

They're way of handling user journeys and funnels are the best that I've seen. Build funnels in a few seconds.

Minpunten:

Dashboards, one of their newer products, need a lot of work. Not at the point yet where it can replace dashboard-specific tools.
