Excellent Software for the Vehicle Rentals

Opmerkingen: With the business problems we had, we were looking for a solution that would allow us to manage internal and external fleet use. The Support team at HQ is outstanding and they really are "solution Mode" Folks.

Pluspunten:

- Ease of rate setup - Ease to embed on website template - good pricing structure -flexible workflow

Minpunten:

- poor on Parking fines management. - Poor on Checkout and Checking procedures.

Professional, smart software and integrations

Pluspunten:

Initially unsure about using the software as I had local options however am now confident I made the right choice. I still have a few minor items to work through but am becoming more confident with the system. The support system is great. We started renting straight away with a professional integration and system with our website. I was given a mentor for setting up - [sensitive content hidden] - who has answered many questions and provided detailed training. He is very knowledgeable and will go our of his way to assist. I needed assistance on many items initially which wasn't an issue for the team. I was given multiple options to assist me learn the system including zoom meetings, step by step videos and handbook. They consistently follow up and check in which was helpful.

Minpunten:

- GST options for Au - but team have worked around as far as possible - Would like to integrate with Verizon -24/7 support via phone would make it 10/10 but have been able to work around most times - would be happy to pay for this option - Still integrating some payments but this is being updated

Redenen om over te stappen op HQ Rental Software: Spoke to sales team from HQ who did not pressure us to sign up. They spent time running through the detail prior and gave free trial and assisted with mock scenarios. Extremely helpful in making our decision.

NO SUPPORT

Opmerkingen: OVERALL IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE USING THIS SOFTWARE, I WOULDNT RECOMMEND IT EVEN IT WAS FREE.

ONLY THING I LIKED WAS THE TOLL INTEGRATION, BUT THERE'S OTHER COMPANIES THAT CAN PROVIDE THE SAME FEATURE.

Minpunten:

THE SOFTWARE IS EXTREMELY COMPLICATED AND NOT USER FRIENDLY. TO TOP IT OFF THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS BY FAR THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN ANY BUSINESS. YOURE LUCKY IF THEY PICK UP THE PHONE. BUT LETS SAY THEY ACTUALLY PICK UP THE PHONE, DONT EXPECT TO GET ANY TYPE OF SUPPORT, THEYLL JUST ASK YOU TO SUBMIT A TICKET EVERY SINGLE TIME AND SOMEONE WILL GET BACK TO YOU HOURS IF NOT DAYS LATER. WHEN IT COMES TO THE SOFTWARE FROM A CUSTOMERS POINT OF VIEW, GOOD LUCK BECAUSE IT IS NOT USER FRIENDLY FOR THEM AS WELL. THE COMPANY HAS POTENTIAL BUT WHOEVER IS RUNNING IT NEEDS TO DO A BETTER JOB STRUCTURING AND LISTENING TO THEIR CUSTOMERS,

Opmerkingen: Overall, I'd certainly recommend them. They're not a terrible choice. Certainly better than our experience with Rentall and only slightly better than Rently. You can't go wrong with either HQ or Rently. I'd only recommend Rently over HQ if you have business outside of the US.

Pluspunten:

I really liked their WordPress integration. It made it very easy to take bookings on our website

Minpunten:

I disliked how messy the UI was. Overall, the data entry experience, especially for 2024, was very outdated. There should've been more integrations than were available. I know we definitely would've paid for them. An integrations marketplace might spice things up

Best first option

Opmerkingen: From the moment Renato explained the functions of the system to me, I fell in love with the system, it covers all the needs of our company. I want to mention that I began the search for a rental system recently because previously there was no control, hq rental and [sensitive content hidden] who helped me set everything up they have been a great help, I can't wait to start receiving my first reservations with this new system!

Pluspunten:

In addition to all its functions, which have been very useful for the company I work for, such as booking control, calendar, adding users, personalized emails, etc. The service they have offered me since day 1 has been excellent, Renato was very kind, he explained everything to me in a very simple but very complete way and on the other hand [sensitive content hidden], who has advised me these last few weeks, has been super patient, he answers me all my questions and any request I make he helps me, he is very kind.

Great Rental Software Product for New Rental Companies!

Opmerkingen: The customer success team worked really hard to ensure that we where able to get up and running within days vs weeks since I was looking to go live asap! Huge shoutout to [sensitive content hidden] for his diligence and great knowledge of the product that got us up and running so quickly!

Pluspunten:

Implantation was extremely easy. Pricing is on par for product. quick response times from the team!

Minpunten:

I haven't run into one so far! The team has always made themselves available to address any question and resolved all tickets and changes requested within 48 hours! I have been completely impressed!

Redenen om over te stappen op HQ Rental Software: The Customer Service has been exceptional from the start and they are consistent with support and service even after the product is sold which I cant say for other companies who want you to pay upfront but cant answer 50% of your questions.

Redenen om over te stappen op HQ Rental Software: It was more user friendly, great pricing, great interface and the staff we dealt with are just great. One called [sensitive content hidden] and another gentleman called [sensitive content hidden] They were very patient too demonstrating teaching the different sections ti we fully understood.

Great line-of-business software

Pluspunten:

I love the fact that it's business for the car rental industry, and that shows in all the options. I think HQ rental is the industry standard. It works, and it works great.

Minpunten:

HQ Rental has a lot of knobs that you can adjust, and you don't always know what every option does. Some options are explained in the knowledge base, others aren't. It could use like a big guide to explain the software in detail. I am not talking about documentation by techs to explain in three words what every setting does, but a real 'book like' document explaining concepts, philosophy behind the software, guiding you through sections, etc.

The fact that its not fully connected with Turo anymore but obviously not HQ Rentals fault.

Opmerkingen: Great experience, always there is room for improvement, However I can't find any excuse not to be with them. Team at HQ is very helpfull, however if they have online 24*7 support for business will be of great help.

Great Value, Endlessly Optimizable System, Wonderful Customer Support

Opmerkingen: I switched to HQ from a different car rental software that was more expensive and far less flexible. I have been so happy with HQ so far. Between the price (half of what I was paying before) and the functionality of the system, my work load has gone down and my rentals have gone up as the booking engine is better and it is easier for guests to book.

Pluspunten:

This software has fantastic funtionality. It can do everything needed for a well run car rental business, including a great online booking engine. I especially love the ease for the customer to book online and how it captures all the info I need from them. The system allows for near endless tweaks meaning I can set it up exactly how I want, including sending scheduled email and sms messages. This has been great for my car rental business as all of my vehicles are remote pick up so I have particular needs. Great Customer support.

Minpunten:

Becuase the system can be so personally optimized, it is a big software. It takes time to learn. Out of all the softwares I have set up, this has probably taken me the longest to learn and remember where all the settings are. It does have a decent Help section which helps, but I think it could be improved for those who like to learn and do the set up themselves. Customer Support is extremely helpful and quick to respond though.

Timberline Auto Rentals Experience Implementing HQ Software

Opmerkingen: Overall, very good! We delayed implementation for a long time, fearing the operational disruption of switching from totally paper system to online but we were able to operate both systems in parallel so the transition was mostly pain free.

Pluspunten:

Robust functionality. So many helpful features. Fairly intuitive design so that even with minimal training time spent, we're up and running and gaining proficiency daily just by navigating through the logical design, finding how to perform the every task. Also, we're very happy with the help/Support [sensitive content hidden] has given. His calendar stays heavily booked but when we really need him he can ususally work us unto his schedule within a few days.

Minpunten:

All the power of HQ software comes at the expense of some complexity. Some of the data fields have helpful pop-up descriptions or mouse-over explanations but many do not. It would be halpful to have pop-up descriptions for all data elements.

I don’t really have a con to list. If anything, the only thing that was a bother was Square wasn’t an integrated payment option but this was also overcome very easily.

The aspect that I most like of HQ software is that I have the opportunity to rent outside platforms such as Turo or Getaround. In this case I have to opportunity to manage the fleet and have everything organized. Also I appreciate the excellent costumer service and the guidance through the software. [sensitive content hidden] is a person that guided me through all the Software, he solved all my questions and thanks to him now I understand how the software works and the different tools that I can use to improve the results in my company.

Minpunten:

There is not a dislike, 8 months ago I saw HQ in Google and I apply to try the trial, at that moment I had two cars and when I entered to the Software I saw so many bottoms and functionalities that I got overwhelm. In this case, thank to [sensitive content hidden] that I have more ability to understand and use the software.

Intuitive, effective and fairly priced

The interface is intuitive. One major advantage is that you can get up and running pretty fast as long as your website integration works. I am impressed with the level of detail that can be added. We have received excellent support from [sensitive content hidden] (Customer Success). If you have a small or medium-sized car rental I think you'll find that HQ Rental is everything you need.

Minpunten:

There are some limitations to the level of customization front-end-wise. However, the team is good at finding workarounds and it still beats having to develop your own software.
